Also, ich muss sagen, Sport darf ruhig höher bewertet werden, wenn es um Möglichkeiten von Integration und Multikulturalität geht. In Berlin gibt es etliche Döner-Läden mit zwei Fahnen, etliche Asia-Imbisse mit schwarz/rot/gold....etliche Menschen, die einfach gemeinsam Spaß haben. Man sollte das mal mehr betonen, als immer nur auf Prügel zu warten. Ich freu mich aufs Finale! Ole Ole Ole ! (das war spanisch :-))

Zum Start der Europameisterschaft hat die Deutsche Olympische Gesellschaft eine Fair Play Hotline geschaltet, unter der faire Gesten von Sportlern, Fans und anderen rund um die EURO 2008 gemeldet werden können. Zum Ende der EM wird die „fairste Geste der EURO 2008“ ausgezeichnet.

Außergewöhnliches Verhalten der Person bzw. Organisation im Sinne der Fair Play Definition sind Voraussetzung für die zeitnahe Meldung.

Fair Play spielt bei einem solch bedeutenden Ereignis, sowohl auf dem Fußballplatz als auch unter den Fans verschiedener Nationen, eine große Rolle. Rücksicht und Hilfe bei sprachlichen Barrieren, Akzeptanz von Fehlentscheidungen der Schiedsrichter sowie Unterstützung des eigenen Teams in Situationen wo der „Ball nicht rund läuft“, sind nur einige Schlagworte der neun Goldenen Regeln zum fairen / vorbildlichen Verhalten eines Fußball-Fans. „Der Sport ist heutzutage viel zu sehr von Betrug und Egoismus überschattet. Fairness auf und auch neben dem Platz ist die Grundlage für sauberen Sport und ein völkerübergreifendes Miteinander!“, betont DOG-Präsident Harald Denecken den Schwerpunkt der Fair Play Initiative.

Bei der Fair Play Hotline zur EURO 2008 sollen insbesondere Kinder und Jugendliche mit Beispielen über faires Verhalten im Sport informiert und aufklärt werden, um so negativen Erscheinungen im Sport entgegenzuwirken.

Hab ich eigentlich schon mal erwähnt, dass ich es toll finde, dass in Österreich so ein großer Wettbewerb am Handymarkt herrscht? Ich hab das Gefühl, dass Telefonieren (noch) immer billiger wird. Da scheint ja kein Ende des Trends in Sicht zu sein. Die Anbieter überbieten sich netterweise immer wieder mit günstigen Angeboten (Hoffentlich überleben die das alle auf Dauer, für uns Kunden kann das nur gut sein ;-) ). Ich hab mal eine kleine Übersicht für die Vieltelefonierer erstellt.

In Österreich gibts jetzt ja auch schon länger Flatrates. Ich glaube, dass es die Leute von One waren, die als erste eine echte Flatrate auf den Markt geworfen haben. Die ist aber wieder verschwunden, und momentan gibts da die Große Plaudertasche: Damit hat man 1.000 Minuten in alle Netze in Österreich, und wenn die aufgebraucht sind, noch 4.000 ins Netz von One und zur Sprachbox. Anrufe woanders hin kosten dann 10 Cent/min, die Grundgebühr ist 25€ und nur 10€ pro Monat für den Rest von 2008, wenn man jetzt anmeldet.

Von T-Mobile gibts den Tarif Fairplay. Für 25€ kriegt man jeweils 1.000 Minuten ins T-Mobile Netz, ins Festnetz, zur Sprachbox (1.000 Minuten Sprachbox abhören! ;-)) und in alle übrigen Mobilfunknetze gemeinsam. Nach Überschreitung der Minuten werden in alle Netze je 25 Cent/min verrechnet.

A1 hat jetzt endlich auch mal ein vernünftiges Paket auf den Markt gebracht. Blöderweise, nachdem ich schon kurz vorher einen neuen Vertrag abgeschlossen hatte. Ich konnte aber netterweise noch auf Kulanz wechseln ^^. Bei A1 Absolut Zero kann man unbegrenzt ins Festnetz, zu A1 und B.Free und zur Sprachbox telefonieren. Also wirklich Flatrate dorthin. Für die anderen Netze gemeinsam hat man 1.000 Freiminuten. Der Tarif kostet 35€, die ersten 6 Monate sind aber gratis, womit man über die Mindestvertragsdauer etwa an den Preis von Fairplay rankommt. Bei Überschreitung der Minuten werden 25 Cent/min fällig.

Telering hat Basta! im Angebot. Man telefoniert die ersten 1.000 Minuten in alle Netze gratis, danach noch 4.000 Minuten netzintern und zur Sprachbox. Wenn man drüberkommt, legt man 10 Cent/min in alle Netze hin. Basta! kostet 19€, aber nur 9€ im Monat bis Ende 2008, wenn man jetzt anmeldet.

Edit: Man möge mir verzeihen, einen Tarif hatte ich übersehen - danke Dave ;-). Bei 3 kann man Showtime XL anmelden. Für 24€ sind 3.000 Gesprächsminuten drinnen, davon jeweils 1.000 Minuten ins eigene Netz und zur Sprachbox, 1.000 ins Festnetz und 1.000 in die anderen Netze. Wenn man das Volumen überschritten hat, zahlt man 10 Cent/min extra. /Edit

Alle Tarife haben eine Mindestvertragsdauer von 24 Monaten, Taktung von 60/30 (3: 60/60) und SMS in alle Netze kosten 25 Cent. Basta! und die Große Plaudertasche bieten sich an, wenn man insgesamt beim Telefonieren nicht viel über 1.000 Minuten im Monat kommt. Fairplay und Absolut Zero und Showtime XL kommen den größeren Quasselstrippen entgegen, wobei Absolut Zero wegen echter Flatrate zu Festnetz und A1/B.Free momentan die Nase vorn hat. Mal sehen, wie T-Mobile und 3 gegen diesen Kampftarif dagegen halten.

Most summers I do a final longish run about 10 days before the Triple Crown pack-burro races begin. It's no big deal like some of the runs up to 4.5 hours that I've done in weeks past. It's just one last test of over two hours. It allows me to check out my burro, my gear, my own health and fitness. I decided to jog Laredo up Hermit Pass in the Sangre de Cristo Range just to get in a short, but steep and rocky climb. Now 10 days of recovery before Fairplay, July 27, 29 miles; Leadville, Aug. 3, 22 miles; and Buena Vista, Aug. 10, 12 miles. That's a lot of racing miles in three consecutive weekends. I always feel a sense of relief when this training run is over. There's nothing to do now but show up. This year I packed a digital camera along and so you get a brief 8-second glimpse of what it's like. Eight seconds is how long a bull rider rides. Of course a pack-burro race is much longer.

One day, I was looking at a reality TV news blog, because I had heard that American Idol was going to be having auditions somewhere in Kentucky for the upcoming season (I've always wanted to audition, just so I could say that I had). While searching for this nugget of reality TV wisdom, I came across a website called RealityCares.com, which is a volunteer organization whose sole purpose is to address the most pressing issues that face the world today, whether it is Hurricane Katrina relief or fighting AIDS in Africa.

Now, you are probably wondering what this has to do with reality television. Well, Reality Cares is made up of executives, producers, writers, cast members, publicists, and even viewers of reality television! Amongst such people are American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, Access Hollywood's Maria Menounos (also of Planet Green's Hollywood Green), Marc Marcuse of Average Joe fame, Survivor alums Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich, Ethan Zohn, Jenna Morasca, and Jonny Fairplay.

Now that I knew who was involved with Reality Cares, I wanted to see what kind of things they did to raise funds. Granted, what I found was your typical Hollywood-type gatherings, with beautiful people walking around every way you looked. One event I really found interesting, however, was an eco-friendly fashion show hosted by "The World's First Supermodel", Janice Dickinson.

The show was designed to prove that you could wear sustainable and environmentally friendly clothing while maintaining the fashion sensibilities of modern society. Among the designers showcased at the event were Deborah Lindquist, Carushka, Green Guru Gear, Haute Trash, and M The Movement.

NOTE: I do not follow the fashion world very closely, so I have no clue who any of these people are. These links only became available to me after I searched for them on Google.

Among the guests in attendance were Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty), Michael Maloney (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), Cameron Johnson (Oprah's Big Give), and the cast of a brand new reality series "Greatest American Dog" (and I thought "Flavor of Love" was an odd show).

While I may not be a fan of reality television, I am a fan of anyone who attempts to educate or address the issues that face this world today, whether is is environmentalism, medical care, disaster relief, or global epidemics. It is, with this in mind, that I recommend that anyone who loves their planet or believes in bringing attention to the causes that matter most to head over to Reality Cares and volunteer your services today.

I was completely taken back by the fact that there was snow on the mountains when we started our journey from Denver to Pagosa Springs on May 10th, let alone how much there seemed to be and that there was more on them by the time we left which was a week later!  Around here we are used to the snow being pretty much a distant memory by the time April hits, however it was the middle of May and it looked like February does here!  Once the shock wore off of actually seeing snow, it was pretty cool to see and take pictures of, I must admit. 

While driving the 5 hours plus between locations it became more apparent that the snow on the mountain tops was not the only snow I was going to see on this trip.  I started seeing it along the roadside, where I am sure plows had piled it after a snow storm and it hadn't completely melted yet.  The biggest shock came when as I was driving, we came across actual snow that was FALLING FROM THE SKY!  Granted it was only flurries but that was all I needed!  I was in such awe of this that I was actually laughing at the idea of driving through a snow storm in May!  It was quite the sight.  Now people had joked to me about driving through snow and/or blizzards, but I thought they were joking!  Unfortunately the joke was on me!

We heard on the news Monday night that a town we had driven through, Fairplay CO, was supposed to get 8 inches of snow on Wednesday or Thursday.  I was not as shocked as I had originally been but again it was one of those, I'll believe it when I see it kind of things, I mean it's the middle of May!  I learned pretty quickly during that week, that mid-May means pretty much nothing to Colorado as far as weather is concerned.  Twice we tried to get to some hiking trails that lead to some waterfalls and both times the roads to them were closed until May 31.  Due to the weather a lot of roads are closed beginning November 1 until the end of May, apparently we planned our vacation three weeks too early! 

Heading back up towards Denver the day we left, I am sad to say, that I now believe it because I saw it, indeed, Fairplay Colorado did have a snow storm throughout the week which left several inches after all was said and done.  I guess from now on I will do a little more research on vacation spots and their typical weather time tables!!  I can't complain too much because we did get a hike in and while in our jeans and t-shirts would have been able to have a decent snowball fight!  You can't say that about Chicago winters!!

In die Wertung gehen 'harte' Kriterien wie die Anzahl der gelben und roten Karten ein, aber auch 'weiche' wie das Verhalten der Offiziellen und des Publikums. Nach der Karten-Rangliste dürften sich Hertha BSC und Eintracht Frankfurt die größten Hoffnungen machen; den 'Gewinner' wird die DFL aber selbstredend erst nach dem letzten Spieltag bekanntgeben. Ehemals hatte der FSV Mainz von dieser Regelung profitiert, der dann aber in der ersten (Haupt-)Runde an Sevilla scheiterte. Mit Berlin und Frankfurt stehen jetzt zwei Teams zur Auswahl, die sicher Ambitionen und auch Möglichkeiten hätten, die Gruppenphase zu erreichen. I still need your help again to fix the language on California EDD Form DE1-HW. I wrote to you in July 2007 complaining about the checkbox for HUS/WIFE. As members of a California Registered Domestic Partnership trying to hire a nanny, we were quite alienated by this clear state preference for man-on-woman marriages in contrast to the letter and intent of the law that you signed in 2000 authorizing our partnership (and our Constitutional bans on discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation.)

At the time you referred us to Mr. Robert Affleck, Deputy Director, Tax Branch, who referred us to Mr. Stan Adge, Tax Administrator, Taxpayer Advocate’s Office. Through ensuing conversations with Mr. Adge, he made it clear that this issue would be considered for the “next revision of the form.” Then he left the department, Ms. Leslie Weiss took over his job, and Ms. Michelle Mosley took over the mantle to fix this form.

According to verbal conversations with Ms. Mosley, “the form has been revised” and is “awaiting internal review” before being released to the Web site. But I have been unable to secure written confirmation if and when this will happen, and nobody in my community has had an opportunity to review the revised form to see if it complies with our need for equal treatment under the law.

Above all, this slow response and obscured process has made me feel as though this critical change to comply with an eight-year-old law is not a priority within EDD as it is within our community. I fear that the process has been derailed, the outcome will further alienate my family, and the result will please no one. This should be an emergency change to comply with state law, not a “suggestion” to be “considered with the next revision.”

Would you “work your magic” to get EDD to take this seriously? I don’t have anybody else to turn to to make sure that as long as lesbian and gay couples are being treated separately in California, they are at least treated equally.

Requiem 1.3 es una pequeña herramienta libre, ya que incluye el código fuente en el zip del programa, que permite liberar los archivos del DRM de Apple, llamado FairPlay, que se hayan descargado desde iTunes Store.

En ésta última versión se incluye la aplicación RequiemDroplet, con la que simplemente tenemos que arrastrar y soltar la carpeta donde se encuentre la librería de iTunes.

Por ahora solo está disponible para OS X, y se puede encontrar en algunas redes de pares y principalmente en Freenet.
