This was written for Three Word Wednesday; today's three words were: inappropriate, order, and shortcut. This was also inspired by this post I read on Paisley's blog, "My Rose". Enjoy.

I’m half here. The half of me that is here functions robotically as an android on autopilot, following in exact order a set of preprogrammed instructions: get up, shower, dress, apply makeup, style her hair, eat breakfast, go to work, go home, cook dinner, and eat. At the end of this daily sequence, she falls into her soft bed, all the while hoping it will turn into a cotton soft cloud and she will awake the next morning in Heaven above instead of on Earth below. I read her programming and try to pen poetry from gems hidden in its ordinary, everyday dirt.

I’m half here. The other half that is not here journeys as far as her mind will take her. She has taken shortcuts through the astral plane to get to her marvelous midnight – and daylight - destinations. She has visited every corner of the world, in every era of time since humans could tell stories, link to link, through epic poetic chains or written histories penned by men and women lucky enough to have been taught how to read and write. She has watched ravens roost atop of the tower of London. She has strolled down the Champs-Elyseés and drunk in the beautiful mad mélange of cafés, shops, and people ranging from the common to the fabulous to the freaks. She saw Cleopatra sacrifice her life on the fangs of a cobra. She saw Simon Peter in his darkest hour deny Jesus as he walked the silent bloody path to his crucifixion. She watched Ghandi survey the blood-soaked ground of Amritsar. And she has seen much more than this. These exploits are stamped into her brain; I pull them off in long filmstrip rolls to examine the content of her journeys and then sing what she’s seen in lines of poetry.

I’m half here. Yet, I know that it’s inappropriate to keep on half-living. The android wants to have the fun that I’ve denied her by relegating her to live the cold gray instructions of an autopilot life. The adventurer’s brain is now drained of color and dream, and she needs rest. I know that someday, I must somehow unite the android with the adventurer, the flesh with the spirit, the responsible woman with the insane, whimsical kook – and take them both with me, wherever I go.

Hello Penguins!

Last week, Club Penguin was a super busy place with Rockhopper's return, and I know a lot of you are still working hard to solve the Mysterious Tremors mission.  But things are never dull around here and on Friday a new clothing catalog will be released!

I can't show you everything, but here's a sneak peek of one of the new outfits. What do you think? A lot of the new items in the catalog will be really handy at the upcoming July party--I'll have more about that at the end of the week.

Today the fire works got released you can find them at Ice Burg or Mountain. Its a real cool experiance because it only comes once a year so don't forget to check it out, and tell me what you think of them.

Today I was told there was a new login feature coming soon. The new server update will be around June 10th. I think it is really cool. Here is what it will look like.

The belief that God has a purpose for me helps give vision.  This vision is what drives me to walk in the light of the Lord.  I have the belief that I am purposed for something great; that at some point I will accomplish something extraordinary.  This belief helps give shape to my vision, but it does not complete my vision.  I can not even say my vision is complete at this point, and it may not be for some time.  My vision may not be complete until I do accomplish something great, and only then will I know my purpose.

For now I must remain aware and ready for the Lord to work.  I must be patient, and realize it is not my position to know His will and purpose.  It may be decades before I fully realize my vision and purpose.

I have found Rockhopper last on Frozen at the Beach. Here a picture that I took there.

I will try to make a Rockhopper page for this site.

Right now Rockhopper's ship is not letting us in. I have been going on different servers but it still isn't letting anybody in. It will probably be fixed sometime tomorrow.

Rockhopper has came and has brought back old items from around last year.

They brought back the Stuffed Parrot, Flamingo, and the Ship in a Bottle. Disney has start bringing old items back now that a lot of people are getting mad about and making them quit, but Disney will probably keep doing this.

Due to the mission 8 and the tremors that caused an earthquake cause a lot of damage to the night club, gift shop, and coffee shop. This didn’t stop penguins from hanging out at these places! Gary the Gadget Guy says that he has made an earthquake- o- meter to detect any earthquakes from happening in the future.

Everyone is excited about Rockhopper’s arrival tomorrow! I sure am! Rockhopper will be arriving to Club Penguin June 27. If you want to access his Captain’s Quarters and haven’t got the key yet it will be hidden some where on the island.

As you can see he isn't very far away from Club Penguin. I am thinking he will bring some hat like he usually does, but what kind of hat? It is summer so it would probably have to do with summer. If you have any predictions of what you think he will bring, then comment below.

A few years ago I had a snowflake tattooed in a place not so easy to hide. The snowflake signifies that my life is different and should be different and that it is maybe even beautiful. The location was chosen so that I cannot hide it or escape from it. I'm not sure that I can live a nonconformist life, but I'm sure I want to. I have marked my body permanently to remind myself of it.

Since then two things have happened. 1. I have found myself in a professional slump, and 2. I have chosen an extraordinary mate. The first one I increasingly feel must be remedied, I am tired of spending my day with making money for someone else as the focus. The second will be with me as I follow my life's dreams, whatever they may be.

I read Chris Guillebeau to be inspired. I am in awe of the way that he lives his life. He has done amazing things (volunteered in Africa for 4 years) and been amazing places (81 different countries) at such a young age (30).

Chris published his eagerly anticipated (by me at least) Brief Guide to World Domination yesterday. Read it here.

One of the exercises in Chris' manifesto is to answer two questions, the first of which is What do you really want to get out of life?

I think I can break it down into 3 basic things for me:
1. Create
2. Help
3. Learn

A little more detail:
1. I feel driven to create something. Over time I've struggled with what, but I'll get there.
2. I want to help people. I love the feeling that volunteering brings. I want to lead a compassionate life.
3. I want to keep learning. This is a huge part of why librarianship draws me in.

Of course I also want things like financial security, but Chris says this can come with achieving our goals. It doesn't need to be the goal itself. I am also fascinated by the environmental movement, and I'm not sure how this will fit in. I suppose that's what this exercise is for.

To flesh it out with a post in the near future, I'll define my ideal day. And read through the Ideal World exercise posted on Chris' site.

I'm in Linens N Things....scouting out a little home decor (we've only been in our house for 18 months...figure it is time for me to get on the ball).

I'm singing along to the music overhead as I approach the end of an aisle.  What do I see at the end of the aisle?  A fabulous woman in her 50's shaking her booty...singing and dancing to the music.  She's playing it up for a few friends and turns three shades of red when she realizes I've caught her.  We share a quick laugh.  When she is in line behind me a few minutes later, she jokes that she is following me b/c she heard I was going to pay for her items.  I honestly wish I could have...and I told her so.  I said, "wouldn't that be fun?  To just take care of someone's bill for them?" 

She responded..."yes, it is fun...I've done it.  A few weeks ago, my family and I were at a local restaurant and noticed a serviceman in uniform and his family eating at a nearby table.  I know how little they make, I've had three kids in the military...and if it wasn't for them, we couldn't be free.  So, we told our waiter we wanted to take care of their bill.  We stopped by their table to tell them how beautiful and well behaved their children were....and then we hid close by to hear their reaction when the waiter told them their meal was free.  It was the best feeling."

I was actually JEALOUS as she was telling the story.  I got goosebumps.  I can't wait to do it.
