Ma, omu e genial! Putin ciudat, dar genial! :D Tipu' 3/4 din ora povesteste pe langa lectie. Nu zic ca nu stie materia. La asta chiar se pricepe! Dar de la al II-lea Razboi Mondial, el ajunge sa ne povesteasca ca iarna doarme cu geamu deschis (e calit!), cum a sarit granita cu prajina(il alerga militia), ca nu-l lasa partidu sa treaca granita in excursii sau cum bea tuica cu prietenii lui din Chisinau.

(Ca tot vorbim de prieteni de pahar, imi amintesc de nasi-miu. Care din clasa a9-a - desi nu faceam istorie cu Lascu pe atunci - imi tot spune: "Suntem prieteni buni, sambata iesim la cate un paharel, daca ai vreo problema, ii spui ca esti fina-mea, se rezolva, stai linistita". Asa imi zice de 2 ori pe semestru. Ma mir. Ca doar stam in aceeasi scara. Poate doar atat isi aduce aminte. Uite ca anu asta inca nu ma prins. Dar nu e timpul pierdut!)

Revenind la dom' profesor. E de treaba! N-ai cum sa nu ii adori caterinca. Mai mult sau mai putin subtila, dupa cum spunea colegu' de liceu. Ma rog, caterinca o adori, cat timp nu esti tu subiectul ei. Dar chiar si atunci, parca nu te poti abtine sa nu razi! :)

Asta imi aduce aminte de ora de ORU de astazi. Avem o profesoara destul de insipida si paralela. Nu zic ca nu le are cu materia. Ma rog, cele 2 lectii fara jumate pe care a ajuns sa ni le predea. Dar aproape ca abereaza la fel de mult ca Lascu (ala de istorie). Astazi cel putin, s-a apucat se ne povesteasca de taica-su. Cum are...sau ma rog, a avut el o firma de constructii, si cum acuma, e in proces cu 11 firme. Beneficiarii adica. Ca el, taica-su, le facea cladirile, astia dadeau banii pe procente. La sfarsit, mai aveau 40% de dat. Dar nici una din cele 11 firme nu le dadea. Si asa, taica-su nu mai avea cu ce sa plateasca angajatii, cu ce sa cumpere materiale. A ajuns sa vanda utilajele la mana a doua pentru a acoperi datoriile. Si ca, chiar astazi, are 2 procese, unu la 11, unu la 14, si ca a innebunit, ca nici nu mai stie ce sa zica. (Asta ca sa vedeti cat de captivata am fost de povestirea ei =)) )

Acuma eu nu zic ca nu o fi innebunit saracu om, ca cu 11 procese nu e usor. Si daca 11 firme nu au vrut sa le mai dea restu d bani, aia 40%, or fii avand si ei un motiv, ca doar nu s-au vorbit toti, special sa-l scoata p-asta de pe piata.

Dar totusi, stau eu si ma gandesc, de ce mama naibii a simtit nevoia sa ne impartaseasca noua asta. De ce trebuia sa ne ocupe noua 45 de minute din ora de 50 cu povestirea asta inutila, si pe urma, in ultimele 5 minute ramase sa ne zica pagina de unde sa conspectam lectia. Nu ca m-ar fi deranjat ca n-a predat, dar la faza cu povestirea... i could have lived the rest of my life without knowing that! Really! :)

EA confirmed that they're working on two different expansions for Will Wright's universe-in-a-hard-drive Spore this morning, both the previously revealed Spore: Creepy and Cute Parts pack and a new expansion for the game's "Space" phase, which is already exponentially larger than its co-levels. Expect Cute and Creepy to add around 100 new parts, some cute and cartoonish, some monster-like. "Cute" and "creepy" is fine as a title, but at a price of $19.95 those parts had better be nauseatingly adorable and perversely horrifying. It's due on Nov. 18 and will also work for those who only own the Spore Creature Creator. The untitled Space expansion won't arrive until spring of 2009, but it sounds substantially meatier than the parts pack. According to EA, "players' space faring creatures will be able to beam down from their spaceships to explore new planets and earn rewards for completing challenging missions" and "a new Adventure Creator will allow players to build and share online their own custom missions."

So, yeah, EA is flogging Will Wright's new creation. If this comes as a surprise, we'd kindly direct you to the Sims aisles of your local game store.

Blizzard's Vice President of Game Design Rob Pardo wants us to think about Starcraft 2's two followups, containing the Zerg and Protoss single player campaigns, as expansion packs, so does that mean they won't contain as much gameplay as the Terran-based initial game? Plus, you'll have to wait at least whole year between "expansions." Said Pardo, "With any luck, it would be like a year for each successive one, but that's going to be a target date, that's not a promise."

Since SC2 won't be out until 2009, you won't be able to play the Protoss single player until at least 2011. That's a long time to wait. Check out what Rob said after the break, and start yer speculatin'.

With the announcement about Starcraft 2 being a trilogy, do we know how long it'll be between releases?

We don't know yet, because we don't even know when the first game is getting released yet. I think there's some feeling out there that because we're treating each of the campaigns as almost like separate products, that people have somehow confused that into they're going to be separate products. In a lot of ways, you should think about the follow-ups as being kind of expansion sets to the original. It's just that the campaigns are not going to feel like expansions, they're going to feel like full, independent stories.

So, you know with any luck, it would be like a year for each successive one, but that's going to be a target date, that's not a promise.

Do you know what the pricing on it will be? People are bristling at the thought of having to pay for a game three times.

We would do the retail price based on the value that we're putting in the box. So, if the value in the box is less than the original, then we're going to price it like that. We're not just trying to get people to pay full price for something that's less, if the followups end up having the feature set of an expansion, then that's how they'll get priced.

Weather Channel: Everything Weather (Bureau of Electronic Publishing) shows promise throughout, but never quite delivers the goods. Most of the disc is well-organized, and the information is presented in an understandable (but not pandering) way that benefits the complex subject matter. But what should be the strongest part of the disc - the videos and imagery - falls flat. Everyone is fascinated by home videos of tornadoes or photos of hurricane damage; they remind us of our precarious relationship with nature. But you have to wonder why some of the imagery on this disc is included. Take the twenty-second video clips of tornadoes - nearly half are too short and/or too grainy to show any movement at all; they might as well be still photos. The lightning videos are nearly as grainy, and the animated explanations of various weather topics have that "we've-got-to-fit-all-this-in-in-fifteen-seconds" feel. Fortunately, there are a variety of interesting activities to help explain some of the topics, and a solid glossary which, with plentiful hotlinks, serves as an introductory course in meteorology. The problem with this CD-ROM is that it tries to do too much. If the topic was simply "tornadoes" or "storms," with room for much more video as well as more comprehensive explanatory material, it would be a first-rate product. In its present form, it's just an average one. Weather buffs will find enough to like here, but it won't stop them from tuning in to The Weather Channel.

My dad was a pretty athletic guy growing up-he played 3 sports in high school, and was on the UW Baseball team in college. It's no surprise that he's a big sports nut to this day, even though he can no longer play, and why he has a soft spot in his heart for young athletes. So when the son of a former colleague of his decided to come to Portland for the summer to play baseball and needed a place to stay, my parents offered up our spare room. And when that son brought his two best friends with him to play ball as well, we converted the den into a dorm room.

I was in heaven that summer, sharing a house (and a bathroom) with not one, not two, but three college baseball players. And they were GORGEOUS. I was instantly popular, not only because I brought the cute boys with me to every party that summer, but because they could legally buy beer. In fact, the last time that I remember being drunk on beer specifically was with those three...

They had graciously offered to accompany me to a keg party being thrown by a former classmate of mine, and as soon as we arrived, the beer started flowing. Before I knew it, I was being challenged to keep up with the boys--for every beer they drank, I had to drink one too, and they couldn't get a refill until I had finished my last. Even when my cup was filled mostly with foam after tapping the third keg, I still had to chug it down so they could go get their refill. It was at that party that I learned that sometimes, emptying the entire contents of your stomach into the bushes is a great way to sober up...and makes room for more beer!

Sometime in July, my parents (remember, they're temporarily crazy) decided to go to Vegas for vacation, and they left me and the boys to watch over the house. We were more than happy to oblige, and immediately invited friends over for a little BBQ. I don't remember much about that night, but at some point we were feeding beer to the dog, and I found myself playing a pretty dirty version of "Truth or Dare", made all the dirtier by the fact that we were pretty drunk on Southern Comfort and Caffeine-Free Diet Pepsi.

Lest you think that I was a dirty whore that summer, or that the guys were less than gentlemen during their time living with us, let me put your mind at ease. Sure, we had our moments of drunken debauchery. But most of my time was spent at the ball park with my parents, cheering on the boys from the stands while eating hot-dogs and Cracker Jacks. It was an all-American summer, filled with our country's greatest past-time, national anthems, fireworks and--yes--beer.

I've tried many times since that summer to become a beer drinker. Despite all my efforts, the tang of hops and the yeasty taste of even the lightest brew only conjures up memories of puking up foam in the bushes at that keg party whilst Baseball Babe #1 held back my hair. And please, for the love of God, keep Southern Comfort (or any other liquor one might mix w/ Coke) far FAR away from me! But if you're looking to show me a good time, take me to the ballpark and buy me a hot dog. Even if our team is having the worst season on record (hello, Mariners? 100 losses, REALLY?!), I'm a sucker for a good game of ball.

Well I'm planning on playing every Megaman game and every Megaman X game. Starting with the first 6 Megaman games on the NES, 7 on the SNES and 8 on the Playstation. I may or not play 9, depending on whether or not I feel like buying it.

Obviously for X I'll be starting with X, X2 and X3 on the SNES, X4, X5 and X6 on the Playstation, X7 on the Playstation 2 then X8 on the PC.

This may take me a very long time, especially since I still have Valkyrie Profile 2 to complete, Rogue Galaxy coming in the mail and not to mention Persona 3: FES is out on Friday in Eurofagland.

Hopefully the difficutly won't be too "Kick in the balls". I've beaten the four Zero games for the GBA and found them pretty hard, so I hope the difficulty is around the same level as that.

Edit: Megaman complete. I'll get around to Megaman II tomorrow.

Saptamana asta se presupunea ca sunt in practica. Teoretic, am fost. Nu m-am dus la scoala. Practic, am stat acasa, am iesit prin oras. In concluzie, am facut orice altceva, mai putin...sa fiu in practica. Noroc cu mama. Ea a semnat si stampilat actele de practica, ca eu sa stau acasa si sa nu fac nimic productiv. Stiu, nu e bine. Practica are si ea rostul ei. Ca nu degeaba ne pune sa ne ducem.

In alta ordine de idei, saptamana asta aveam cateva lucruri planificate. Bineinteles ca, din toate, cred ca nu am facut niciunul. Sau le-am facut cu intarziere. Sau nu le-am facut nici pana acum, si mie imi trebuie maine.

In mare parte...m-am stresat din pricina subiectului "EL". Un "el" caruia nu ii voi da numele. E irelevant. Si neimportant pentru voi. Saptamana incepuse bine... chiar de duminica seara...pe vremea asta. Insa cu timpul, a ajuns sa ma enerveze la culme. Cred ca nici nu isi da seama. In fine, mi'am promis azi ca nu ma mai las afectata. Ca il las in plata Domnului. Ee... nici chiar asa! Sa zicem ca o las mai moale! :)

Gata! Am scris destul pentru o prima zi. Trebuie sa incep sa ma pregatesc pentru maine, ca o eleva constiincioasa. Arunc vreo 2-3 caiete in geanta, pixuri (unu albastru, unu roz), umblu prin sifonier sa vad cu ce ma imbrac maine (ca si asa zice mama dimineata ca o stresez cu usile :|) si...cat atat! A, ba nu! Mai fac si baie. Da! Stiu! V-am uimit! Dar din cand in cand mai fac si asta! Mai mult pe la ocazii speciale... si maine este una: imi revad colegii si liceul mult iubit, dupa o saptamana!

Ma rog...am devenit ironica spre final... se mai intampla! :)

La final, ca tot am citit in seara asta blogul lui, o sa-l citez pe Mihai Bendeac (pentru cine nu stie, Mondenii - Naomi, Basescu, si alte personaje) : Va pup,va iubesc si va respect!

NO, The Hawk's Dock is NOT the MrSmes! OS, it is just a piece of software to keep the desktop (which will be just like a Windows / Mac / Linux desktop) more orginized like ObjectDock / RocketDock...

YES, the OS will have normal stuff like a desktop / Start Menu

Its time for the best boy band ever "Backstreet Boys" album "Unbreakable's" third video single to commence rolling.

Some of the songs, which have got the highest probability of getting transformed into a video are :-

4) Any Other Way

It has been long since we've seen the boys groove like they did in "Everybody", "Larger Than Life" and "Get Down". I just wish that, they do some dance numbers like "Everything But Mine" and "Any Other Way" in "Unbreakable" again. I know that they have matured and all but, they don't seem so "Boys" enough without their peppy dance songs and have turned into Backstreet "Men". Over the years, they have turned more and more serious. The song "I Wish" from their last album "Never Gone" was good, but not as peppy as "Everybody" etc. This time they have got good danceable songs and they should use them well.

I heard some rumors that the Italian fans of the boy band are going to get the chance of choosing the song for the third video single and that the third video will be a mix of the first two! I hope that those things remain rumors and the boys make a new video instead of mixing the first two.

The album "Unbreakable" was their best till date according to me and they should make as best video as possible to get back their on top.
