Eric Wynalda was born on 9 June, 1969 in Fullerton, California. Eric Wynalda is an American international center forward, currently playing for Bakersfield Brigade in the USL Premier Development League. Eric Wynalda scored the first goal ever in Major League Soccer in 1996 and was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004.

Eric Wynalda grew up in Westlake Village, California. As a child his team (the Westlake Wolves) won the state championship in AYSO soccer as Eric Wynalda scored more goals than the entire division his team played in, combined (56 goals in 16 games). Eric Wynalda later attended Westlake High School and was a 3 time All State selection with the school's boys soccer team and a youth club team mate of fellow national team player Cobi Jones.

Eric Wynalda attended San Diego State University from 1987 to 1989 where he played for the Aztecs men's soccer team, scoring 34 goals and assisting on 25 others during his three seasons. Eric Wynalda freshman year, SDSU went to the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship game where it lost to the Bruce Murray led Clemson Tigers. While at SDSU, he also played two seasons with the local semi-pro San Diego Nomads of the Western Soccer Alliance. In 1988, he played a single game and in 1989, he played 5 games with the Nomads.

Leading up to the 1990 FIFA World Cup, Eric Wynalda signed a contract with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF). After the World Cup, Eric Wynalda signed as an on loan player from USSF with the San Francisco Bay Blackhawks of the American Professional Soccer League. During his nearly 3 seasons with the Blackhawks, he played only a handful of games with the team, devoting most of his time to the national team.

However, in 1992, he experienced a falling out with both the national team and the Blackhawks. In May 1992, national team coach Bora Milutinović kicked Eric Wynalda out of a national team training camp after he elbowed a teammate in the face. A month later, he was kicked off the Blackhawks for being disruptive, and constantly bickering with the coach, Laurie Calloway. When no U.S. based team expressed an interest in Eric Wynalda, he announced his intentions to pursue a move to Europe. In August 1992, USSF loaned Eric Wynalda to Bundesliga club Saarbrücken for $45,000.

When he arrived at Saarbrucken, he became the first American-born player to play for a top level German club. Eric Wynalda had an immediate impact on the club, scoring 8 goals in the first half of the season. This led Saarbrücken to purchase Eric Wynalda's contract from USSF for $405,000. However, his output dropped after the winter break and he only scored once in the second half. Saarbrücken finished the 1992-1993 at the bottom of the Bundesliga standings and was relegated to the Second Division. Eric Wynalda scored twelve goals in the 1993-1994 season and was transferred to fellow Second Division club VfL Bochum at the end of the season for $850,000. Wynalda failed to equal his scoring exploits with Bochum, and experienced a falling out with the club. Eric Wynalda had a hernia operation on 30 August which put him out of action. While convalesing, he criticized the club and its coach, leading to the coach suspending Eric Wynalda.

Eric Wynalda came back to the States in 1996, signing with Major League Soccer (MLS). As part of the process of creating the new league, known players were distributed throughout the league's new teams (except for the Dallas Burn, which alone amongst all MLS sides never received a US National Team allocation from the 1994 World Cup era). The league allocated Eric Wynalda to the San Jose Clash. On 6 April, 1996 Eric Wynalda scored the first goal in league history in its inaugural game as the Clash beat D.C. United 1-0. Eric Wynalda was named U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year.

After the 1998 World Cup, Eric Wynalda began seeking a move back to Europe. While he had publicly declared that he would never return to Germany, including turning down a January 1998 offer from Kaiserslautern, he now began putting out feelers there. When no German teams expressed an interest in Eric Wynalda, he then sought a move to England. In December, he had a trial with Charlton Athletic, but the team did not offer Eric Wynalda a contract and Eric Wynalda returned to the Clash.

Eric Wynalda was loaned out to Club León in Mexico in 1999. Eric Wynalda tore both the ACL and medial meniscus on his left knee while with Leon which put him out of action for several months. After missing the first 11 games of the 1999 season, the Clash traded Eric Wynalda to the Miami Fusion. On 8 July, 2000, the Fusion turned around and traded Eric Wynalda to the New England Revolution for Ivan McKinley after Eric Wynalda failed to improve the Fusion's offensive output. On 3 May, 2001, the Revs sent him to the Chicago Fire for John Wolyniec, where he finished his MLS career, ending up with a total of 34 MLS goals (plus 2 in the playoffs). In 2002, Eric Wynalda joined the Los Angeles Galaxy, announcing that he planned to retire with the team. However, he left the Galaxy during the team's pre-season tour of Chile in order to pursue an offer to play professionally in China. When that offer fell through, he returned to the Galaxy only to leave it for the Charleston Battery of the USL First Division after feuding with the MLS front office about his salary. MLS was offering to pay Eric Wynalda $43,000 for the 2002 season which Eric Wynalda considered much too low. As the Battery had offered him $75,000, Eric Wynalda joined that team only to tear his anterier cruciate ligament in a pre-season match. Eric Wynalda elected to retire from professional soccer and became a broadcast announcer.

Eric Wynalda earned his first cap against Costa Rica on 2 February, 1990. On 14 March, 1990, he signed a contract with the United States Soccer Federation which made him a full time national team player. Later that year, Eric Wynalda played in his first World Cup gaining the dubious honor of becoming the first U.S. player to be ejected from a World Cup game. That came when Czechoslovakian midfielder Lubomir Moravcik baited Eric Wynalda in front of a referee. Eric Wynalda, showing his immaturity, retaliated and was shown red.

In the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Eric Wynalda scored on a free kick from 20 yards as the United States tied Switzerland. Eric Wynalda also played in Copa America 1995, where he was named to the all-tournament team after scoring against Chile and Argentina.

In 1998, Eric Wynalda participated in his third World Cup, one of four U.S. players (Tab Ramos, Tony Meola and Marcelo Balboa) to earn that honor. Claudio Reyna and Kasey Keller have since gone on to be named to a record four World Cup rosters.

Eric Wynalda retired from the US National Team as its all-time leading scorer with 34goals in 106 appearances. Eric Wynalda was the sole owner of the record until 2007, when Landon Donovan tied the record with a penalty kick goal against Mexico in the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. Eric Wynalda was named the Honda US Player of the Decade for the 1990s and elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004.

In 2005, Bakersfield Brigade of the USL Premier Development League hired Eric Wynalda as its technical director, and in 2007 he agreed a short-term playing contract with the team during the last few matches of their season. On 1 May, 2008 he signed a formal season-long agreement to play the entire campaign with the Brigade as a full member of the 2008 playing squad.

Eric Wynalda has also continued to play with an over-30s amateur team in Los Angeles, Hollywood United, alongside former U.S. internationals Alexi Lalas and John Harkes, former French international Frank Leboeuf, former Welsh international player Vinnie Jones, and actor Anthony La Paglia. United plays in the Los Angeles Olympic Soccer League.

Eric Wynalda was a soccer analyst for ESPN. Eric Wynalda was also the in-studio analyst for 2006 FIFA World Cup on United States, English-language broadcasts. Eric Wynalda was one of the most vocal critics of USA's head coach, Bruce Arena, in the 2006 World Cup. However, after the World Cup, he was amicably paired in-studio with Arena as co-analysts for some 2006 MLS Cup playoff games, a successful arrangement which continued with ESPN's coverage of the US National Team in 2007. Eric Wynalda was one of the main analysts for ESPN and ABC during the 2007 Major League Soccer season.

After a number of controversies, he left ESPN prior to the 2008 season, a year before his contract was due to expire.

Really..how low will McCain go?

This is getting annoying. How low will McCain and the Bush administration go to try and prevent Obam

This is getting annoying. How low will McCain and the Bush administration go to try and prevent Obama from winning? First, US foreign services workers in Berlin were told by the US embassy that they can not attend the speech, despite the fact that they were allowed under the Hatch Act. If you don't think that the Bush administration is all over this, Huffington post blogger, Jacob Helibrunn, looked into the connection and history of this current administration.

The U.S. embassy, which is headed by ambassador Robert Timken, a businessman and crony of George W. Bush's from Ohio, who is widely reviled in Germany for his ignorance of foreign affairs, has instructed officials not to attend the rally.

Indeed, the administration has a long and tawdry record of trying to browbeat government agencies into submission, whether it's the CIA or the Centers for Disease Control. The State Department is perhaps highest on the list of conservatives and neocons who see it as the center of disloyalty and treachery.

Ok..if that is not enough..Obama had to cancel a visit to a military hospital in Germany. This is truly a new low for John McCain. DailyKos blogger Karpaty Iviv has an extensive diary on this shameful act. I am not going to go into detail because the diary is a must read. However, i will give you a quick synopsis. Barack Obama was originally cleared by the Pentagon to visit the hospital alone, without the press and staff. However, Pentagon lifted that clearance and told Barack that he can't go due to some regulation. Let's just say that McCain was not stopped by the Pentagon when he made his "visits" to military bases.

Again, I ask..How low will John "Holier than thou" McCain and this Bush administration go to stop Barack Obama? Obviously as low as they need. John McCain, you need to stop pretending that you are some saint who is above the nastiness of a Repug campaign. You are just as bad as Karl Rove. What will it be next? Will you try and steal and cheat this country of the next president?

I am ashamed to think that perhaps this man of "honor" and "war hero" will be above the dirty tactics of the Bush administration. This man, John McCain, is no different from Bush, Karl Rove and other pathetic little Republican operatives.

I ask you, the public, is this the kind of man that we want in office? We can not afford to allow John McCain to win the presidency. He will only continue the shameful practices of this current administration and will not restore honor and diginity to the highest office of the land.

Now for the sourpuss moment..

McCain addressed about a half dozen Ohio small business owners in the historic village.

"I'd love to give a speech in Germany," McCain said. "But I'd much prefer to do it as President."

LOL..how sad and pathetic..you can't go and attract a crowd so poo poo on Obama's event..You jealous John? Hey Johnnie boy, take another long look at that picture, because you will never see a crowd that size and you will never get to speak as a President of the United States of America. BTW, John McCain, you are looking at the next president of this great country and of the free world.

UPDATE .. John McCain, Idiot .. In an interview w/ NBC about Obama's speech, John McCain had this to say..

"I would rather speak at a rally or a political gathering any place outside of the country after I am president of the United States," McCain told O'Donnell.

He obviously forgot that he spoke in Canada earlier this year..unless John McCain thinks Canada is part of the US..hum..interesting..

However, on June 20, McCain himself gave a speech in Canada -- to the Economic Club of Canada -- in which he applauded NAFTA's successes. An implicit message behind that speech was that Obama had been critical of the trade accord. Also, McCain's trip to Canada was paid for by the campaign.

Is there a doctor in the house? I think John McCain needs a completely mental evaluation to make sure that his brain is functioning normally..I still can't believe that some people want this buffoon to be the next president. I guess after Bush, anyone is a step up, even if it is a baby step like John McCain. What's he gonna do as the president? start a nuclear war and the next day deny that he pushed the red button? how about sending the national guard into Canada, thinking that Canada is part of the US? Or order the military to defend Czechoslovakia? Or order the air force to drop bottles of hot water for the babies in disaster areas? How about just vetoing beer all together?

Practical Farmers of Iowa will host a two-part event on Saturday, August 2. The field day will begin at 4 p.m. at the home of Eric and Ann Franzenburg. Discussion will include: culture and post-harvest handling of medicinal herbs, high tunnel tomato and flower production, adding an enterprise to the farm, making more profit on fewer acres, corn boiler heating systems, and organic certification.

At 6:30, the event will move to the Tara Hills Country Club for a gourmet fundraiser dinner by Ben Halperin, executive chef and owner of the acclaimed Augusta restaurant. Reservations are required for the dinner. To register, contact Cedar Johnson at (515)232-5661 or cedar@practicalfarmers.org

Eric and Ann Franzenburg started farming in 1993 with Eric’s parents Don and Pat. They added herbs to the conventional farm in 1995 as a way to diversify and increase profits. The new enterprise was quite a success, and the Franzenburgs now grow 130 acres of medicinal herbs. 2008 will be the third year of tomato production on the farm, and the first year for flower production.

Woke up and I was waiting for Tauhidah when she called and said she forgot to bring the broccoli, so I went to Shop & Save at Tmart to buy one. It costs 85 cents. After I paid, I walked into Kopitiam, cause in order to get out of Shop & Save, you need to go past Kopitiam. And immediately, a wave of nostalgia hit me.

I was reminded of Tapestry, of the times we had breakfasts, lunches together, mass MSN convos and of the unity.

So, Miss Nur and Mrs Lai were waiting in the eleven sitter van. Went to Lam Soon CC, which was at Chua Chu Kang. I think that Tauhidah and me did pretty well, I wasn't really sure about Felicia's and Xinrong's salad. But it was good. Although, apparently, not good enough. Both the teams didn't win. Geylang Methodist did. But hey, at least this will be included into our Sec 4 testimonial thing.

And while waiting for the results, the four of us played Scrabble. Oh and Mrs Lai left halfway(she kept asking the other team how was Hong Kong).

On the return journey, we were all bloody tired and I took the last three seater seats behind and i laid down and I slept, to replenish my energy for the Raffles Girls concert later. The van dropped all of us at school and we went home.

So, when I reached home, immediately showered cause it was already 2.45 pm and the meeting place is Raffles Place Mrt station at 4.30pm and I had no idea how long the MRT journey to Raffles Place would take. Ate a quick lunch and went out. It was raining.

But guess what, I was the second to reach there and I. First was Jonah whose first sentence to me was, "You look damn emo with that jacket and your eyeliner." I expected a friendlier hello or at least the Step Up 2 handshake which we used to do when we met each other in school.

Next was Elizabeth who arrived at 4.30, then Yaozhi, Claire and Christine.

Jonah kept saying that he wanted to eat me. He was hungry, couldn't blame him.

All of us walked to VCH. Met all the others. Got tickets from Joel and we missed the first two songs.

Sat at Row G, with Eric, Eugene and Elizabeth. Waaa, I only person whose name starts with S. SEEE. The guys behind us were being annoying dorks who not only were noisy but have brains the size of (insert name here)'s dick. They were like,

"That one is the pipa (points at liuqin people).

Thats the zhong ruan (points at pipa people)"

And the worst thing was, they stared at me. Just because a malay person is at a Chinese Ochestra concert, they stared. What the bloody hell is wrong with them? I mean, I may not be Chinese but at least I know how to identify the instruments correctly not like them dumbasses. And there were ang mohs there, why not stare at them, losers?

And I was complaining all this to Eric, who was playing my phone.

After the concert, Eric, Elly and me went to eat prata at food republic at Suntec city. Talked about lots of things like ultraman hoodies and the war memorial thing. We talked and talked and talked. Took MRT and talked, and talked, and talked. Eric alighted at Bedok, I think, where his parents were fetching him. And all the way until Tampines, Elly and me talked and talked and talked.

Took 69 home.

It was quite a good day.

This is just too much for one day..John McCain trying to bury himself deeper..
In response to him me

This is just too much for one day..John McCain trying to bury himself deeper..

In response to him messing up the timeline of the surge, John McCain basically said that he was talking about the surge before the surge, so he wasn't wrong..LOL..what an idiot..a classic premature ejaculation surge.

Let's revisit what he had said..John McCain indicated that the Anbar awakening was started by the surge..there was nothing about a pre-surge surge, or his premature surge..he has all along indicated that the surge had meant an increase in boots on the ground.

This is all from the AP

Speaking on CBS Tuesday of a Sunni sheik who approached Col. MacFarland, McCain said, "Because of the surge, we were able to go out and protect that sheik and others. And it began the Anbar awakening."

UPDATE!! LOL..this gets better..according to Huffington Post..the Sheik who approached Col. MacFarland was assassinated last year, in the midst of the Surge! We really protected him! LOL..this gets better by the moment! oh wait, even more..this came from McCain's spokesperson..

The Arizona Republican's campaign went further the next day, claiming that the major figures that turned around Anbar province would have been killed had the surge policy not been in place. "If Barack Obama had had his way, the Sheiks who started the Awakening would have been murdered at the hands of al Qaeda," said spokesman Tucker Bounds.

LOL..this is better than any movie or soap opera..McCain and Bush had their way, increased the troop..and what! the Sheik who started the Awaken was killed in the midst of the surge! LOL..I don't think the McCain campaign did any homework on this issue..

trying to walk back on his words..John McCain talked about the presurge

He told reporters during an unscheduled stop in a super market that, what the Bush administration calls "the surge" was actually "made up of a number of components," some of which began before the president's order for more troops.

Wait a minute..did he just concede that the troop built up wasn't responsible for the Anbar Awakening, thus played only a part in the decrease of violence in Iraq? Did he just concede that Barack was right? That an increase in troop wasn't necessarily needed?!?!

Oh..this is not it for today..trying to combat the massive press coverage that Obama will get tomorrow when he speaks in Germany, McCain tried to set up an photo op at an oil rig off the coast of Louisiana. This was supposed to be the place where he will tout offshore drilling and claim that Obama is wrong on offshore drilling. Well, guess what..the photo-op has been cancelled..why? The McCain campaign claimed it's because of weather.. UPDATE! Weather is nice and clear today in LA...or as a fellow Kossack pointed out, could it be because of an oil spill nearby?!?! LOL

The U.S. Coast Guard has closed 29 miles of the Mississippi River from New Orleans southward after a tanker and a barge collided, spilling more than 400,000 gallons of fuel oil into the river.

Oil from the spill is visible along the New Orleans riverfront, with a thick coat of black muck washing up along the rocks near the Moonwalk. Farther away from the bank, the muck broke off into small islands.

A thick blanket of oil stuck to the hull of a Coast Guard cutter patrolling the area between the wrecked barge and the riverfront near the Aquarium of the Americas. The surrounding air there smells like it would near a gas station or in a traffic jam, only stronger.

I'm so disappointed that McCain decided to back out...him standing on that rig with the oil spill in the background would've made for wonderful photo op...

I want more from the hero zero, John McCain

How low can John McCain go? Mister Holier than thou, I will call you out for attack ads that don't exist, but I will be the first to go negative and dirty. LOL...

Let's see how low can McCain go..

1. Let's attack Obama and accuse him of accepting genocide while he is at the Holocust Museum

2. Let's suggest that Barack is a traitor

3. Let's lie about the chain of events in Iraq as it relates to the Surge and have CBS News try and cover it up

4. Oh, let's not forget..after we do all this..cancel any press availability to answer any questions..duck and run!

Dang, McCain is good..at least three negative attacks in basically a day and then duck the press.. Is Karl Rove hiding in his coat somewhere?

Do I smell desperation in the air for John McCain?

Scooped in a coupe, Snoop we got the news
I ain't been out a second
Now I already gotta do
Some muthafuckin chin checkin

Move up the block as we groove down the block
See my girl's house, Dre, pass the glock
Kick in the door, I look on the floor
It's my little cousin Daz and he's fuckin' my hoe
I uncocked my shit...
I'm heart-broke but I'm still locked

Even though Mitt is spending a ton to spread the word that he's at the top of the list? Yup.

My sources say Cantor was picked a long time ago, and it's easy to understand why. Although he is white, he is the only Jewish Republican in the House. He's young--45--and a fresh face. He has Romney's good looks. As a Representative of Virginia's 7th District since 2001, he's served as the Chairman of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare and also sat on the House Ways and Means Committee and the House International Relations Committee. Since his second term, he's served as chief deputy Republican whip, which is the highest appointed position in the Republican caucus. He's also popular in the Richmond area--in four elections, he's never received less than 64% of the vote. Also, conservatives should love him, with his 96.86 lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union.

You heard it here first.

And we watched sunset at Alki Beach. . . . At least that's how I ended my day before hitting the computer to draft this blog post. Seriously, so much happened today, justifying the long ass title (which Jackie demanded for this blog post).

My appointment was late this afternoon, so I was able to spend most of the day at work before heading to chemo. I know, I know -- psycho Cat is back at her crazy schedule. But I'm trying to financially sustain and bill as much as possible while I'm able. I'm a bit scared of how long I'll be off of work recovering from surgery and how radiation will affect my energy after surgery.

Now for good news -- I'm now officially down to three more chemo treatments! Whoo hoo! I'm so close to the end of chemo that Dr. Pinder has alerted the Cancer Care Coordinator, Rita Kelly, to schedule my surgery. I'm hoping that my surgery will be scheduled during the first week of September right after Labor Day. My recovery time should be two weeks at the quickest, so I'll be out of commission for a while. But that's just more time for me to devote to my blog, right?

I had a few conversations with some doctors last week (including the Senior Genetic Counselor at Myriad) about my stupid inconclusive genetic test results to get more information about what surgery to have. After debriefing with Dad and my therapist with all the options and conflicting information I received this week, I think I'm leaning toward a lumpectomy. However, I'll save that drama for the next blog post.

Jackie joined me for today's chemo treatment, and we watched Shear Genius, the reality program on Bravo about hair stylists. Not my favorite of the wonderful reality programming Bravo offers. The episode we watched was all about up-dos. Talk about drama. Lemme go on the record to say that Jackie has committed to wearing an up-do with lots of curls at my wedding if and when I get married. I just have to sedate her before her hair is done and have her escort wheel her down the aisle before she wakes up. Heh heh.

My white blood cell count was down today, but Dr. Pinder confirmed that my fingernails are actually looking pretty good -- apparently the A/C was harder on my nails than the Taxol has been. Felicity mentioned last weekend that she thought my nails were looking better than the photos I posted not too long ago, and she was right! Keep your fingernails crossed for me -- I would love it if I keep mine!

After chemo, Jackie and I joined Shea and Eric to check out the venue for their upcoming wedding reception. Very cool space along Alki Beach in West Seattle. I believe Jackie, Shea, and Eric have decided on the layout for the event. We also made strides on deciding on the menu. It's going to be a fun reception!

We all went to Bamboo Grill after checking out the reception space and sat outside to have our dinner and do some people watching. With the water, the clear skies, and the sun setting in front of us, and with Bob Marley playing in the background, it actually felt a lot like home (Hawaii). What made it feel even more like home were all the scantily clad hoochie mamas who kept going in and out of Bamboo Grill to have cigarettes. As one particular ho-bag exited the restaurant in a micromini dress, super bleached blond hair, and tons of makeup on, Jackie whispered to me "Prostitution, cha cha cha." I just about died laughing. For those of you who don't know this reference -- it's from Beavis and Butthead. Yep, Beavis and Butthead. I proceeded to laugh like Butthead every time a ho-bag came to or left the restaurant. Explaining the reference to Shea and Eric was just as funny. Dang. Perhaps the chemo hit me pretty hard today.

Actually, now I'm sure the chemo hit me pretty hard when I think about how catty I got (pun intended) at the end of the day right before the sun set. We watched a short, skinny Asian dude set his alarm in his overpriced sports car which was parked on Alki right in front of where he and his similarly-yellow girlfriend were eating outside at Bamboo Grill. Who needs to turn on a car alarm when your car is parked right in front of you? WTF? The internal sensor of the dude's sports car was set off every time a large car drove by, which was often, given where we were at and how nice the weather was today. And this dude proceeded to reset his alarm each time it went off. Man, just dumb.

All in all, it was a very full day and very fun. I feel like the good Seattle summer weather gives me more energy than I usually have!

McCain has been completely wrong on Iraq!

I’m sick and tired of McCain and his stupidity when it comes to Iraq. He dares to accuse Obama

I'm sick and tired of McCain and his stupidity when it comes to Iraq. He dares to accuse Obama of being "completely wrong" on Iraq, and funny how he is again touting his military experience.

The presumptive GOP nominee slams his opponent who is traveling in the Middle East, calls him “someone who has no military experience whatsoever” during a joint presser with Bush 41.

McCain: “When you win wars, troops come home. He’s been completely wrong on the issue. … I have been steadfast in my position.”

No, you are completely wrong on Iraq. Barack was against an illegal invasion of a foreign country and Barack was against the illegal occupation of another country. You are a war monger, John McCain. Your military experience has only served to increase your desire to go to war with any country. Military might does not solve everything, that's something you will never understand.

John McCain, you are also wrong on the surge. All the surge did was to make up for the mistake of the original invasion, when the Army wanted far more men than the Bush administration was willing to commit. All the surge did was to stretch our military capabilities to its limits and take our focus off Bin-Laden and Afghanistan. Even Iraq's Prime Minister Al-Maliki didn't give the surge any credit when it comes to the calming of Iraq.

Another telling aspect of the Spiegel interview has gotten no attention. Maliki was asked what has calmed the violence in Iraq and responded as follows:

There are many factors, but I see them in the following order. First, there is the political rapprochement we have managed to achieve in central Iraq. This has enabled us, above all, to pull the plug on al-Qaida. Second, there is the progress being made by our security forces. Third, there is the deep sense of abhorrence with which the population has reacted to the atrocities of al-Qaida and the militias. Finally, of course, there is the economic recovery.

Ultimately, this is about judgement. Barack made the right call in the beginning. We should not have entered this war in the first place. You, John McCain, made the wrong decision in supporting the war. You, John McCain, contributed to the mistake that is now Iraq. You can only fall back on the "surge" as a way to somehow protect you from your lack of judgement.

You, John "I don't want to talk about my military experience, but will exploit it at any possible opportunity" McCain, is wrong.

You want to know the best reason not to vote for McCain? We need a president who isn’t confuse

You want to know the best reason not to vote for McCain? We need a president who isn't confused all the time..From ABC News,

Asked by ABC's Diane Sawyer Monday morning whether the "the situation in Afghanistan in precarious and urgent," McCain responded:

"I think it's serious. . . . It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border," said McCain, R-Ariz., said on "Good Morning America."

Iraq and Pakistan do not share a border. Afghanistan and Pakistan do.

Let us not forget his repeated Czechoslovakia remarks,

"I was concerned about a couple of steps that the Russian government took in the last several days. One was reducing the energy supplies to Czechoslovakia. Apparently that is in reaction to the Czech's agreement with us concerning missile defense, and again some of the Russian now announcement they are now retargeting new targets, something they abandoned at the end of the Cold War, is also a concern."

I didn't realize that the United States of America enters into agreements with countries that no longer exist.

John McCain simply is not mentally fit to be the next President. I don't want him to confuse the red button with the nurses call button.

So week 4 should have been last week, but I was at a cottage so it didn't happen. I talked about my trip very quickly in the last post, but I figured I'd post some of my more arty shots from the week too.

This was taken on the first night we were there.

by static416

The lighting comes from the porch light, which also gave me this shot.

by static416

From there we moved down to the beach.

by static416

This one turned out very well and was made possible by my sex-toy-looking GorillaPod.

There were lots of sunset shots taken.

by static416

by static416

Emma put up with my incessant picture snapping throughout the weekend.

by static416

All in all I ended up with just shy of 700 shots from a week, about 50 of which I've posted here. And the only reason I had to stop there was because I ran out of memory in my camera.

I gotta buy another 4GB card.
