Some think he’s using it as some kind of Designer Green House Window to cash in on the global warming phenomenon. The neighboring Zutonites have expressed their views and the controversy continues…

2 Phunked Up - 2 South African imports hailing from the infamous city of Johannesburg . These two lads came overseas looking for their own piece of the musical pie and are steadily cutting a portion for themselves, (One of them eating more than the other it looks like) and they are being talked about as “one of the hottest young house duo’s in the capital”…

The past few years have been a manic arrangement of twisted, mashed up, phatt beat filled weekends and late week nights spent promoting themselves, their projects and their own nights Comfortably Numbed and Elek2ronik which have both played host to DJs such as D.Ramirez, Deepgroove, Alex Kenji, Jaimie Fanatic, Azzido Da Bass, Jan Driver, Lee Mortimer and others at venues such as Inigo, the Whitehouse, Medicine Bar, the Key and the Golden Jubilee Boat. Gigging all over London they have touched wax in the company of many local and international Big Name DJs and Artists including Erick Morillo, Tim Sheridan, Paul van Dyk, D’Julz, Mike Monday, Sebastien Leger, Stanton Warriors, SOS, Herve, the Catz and King Roc to name a few. Playing regularly in some of the most renowned venues such as The End, Turnmills, The Egg, Ministry Of Sound, Brixton Academy , KOKO ( Former Camden Palace ), The Key and so on, proving that they can hold their own in the competitive “Everyone and their Auntie is a DJ” era… There is no denying that Baltazar and Greg have stepped into the world’s network of respected DJs and rightfully so…

The last year has seen them launch their own Label Comfortably Numbed Digital on the back of their Comfortably Numbed Brand with partner Jon Fynn to build their own platform for worldwide artists and as producers in their own right. “Comfortably Blissed” for the deeper and downtempo side of house music and “Comfortably Twisted” for the dark and twisted side… They were winners of the Hat Club Ableton Live Mix Competition and also the iDJ Raw Talent comp in April 2007 where they impressed Nic Fanciulli, who commented that they are “Very much the Sound of now!”. The next year will see them focusing on their own productions and label, and if they put as much fun, passion and energy into their musical productions as they do in their DJ sets, we can only expect great things…

It would be wrong to pigeonhole this duo into something you have seen or maybe heard! Not because you can’t classify them but purely because it is their unique and electric vibe that sets them apart. Playing their self branded sets of “Blissed ‘n Twisted” House in all its guises makes them appeal to people of all dance floors. “It’s all about sounds that make you move, irrespective of genre’s of sub genre’s of sub genre’d crap, and entertaining showmanship that makes people feel a part of the whole experience”. Playing everything from deep, grooving warm big room beats through to throbbing, 3am, twisted peak time belters, their ability to adjust & suit what is required to make things happen on any floor has helped them gain respect & trust with promoters across the board. They play and make music you can party to, music you can dance to, & music you can definitely rock to.

Despite collecting the whole story of the Loveparade and Extrema Outdoor we recorded the gig of our artist Dexter Curtin on Saturday Night at the Cocktail Bar Chillum in Leipzig, Germany. It is a line-out set and we added a mirror with an direct-link, which is limited to 100 GB traffic.

About him:

“This man is a phenomenon…” says a friend.

About 10 years ago, Dexter began to play around with the turntables. Playing preferential techno and only a bit house he had his first “bigger” gigs at the well known club of Leipzig “Distillery” followed by several gigs at local bars or lounges and smaller clubs situated in the region around Leipzig. Later he also played at larger eventslike “Jazz in Fusion” or “House Arrest” and at nearly all clubs at his local area…

Similar DJing he never stopped organizing events like “Essential Grooves”@Praezisionswerk Espenhain and got part of the online-community UMP3.
Being part of this community he released two mix-cds onlin with an enormous echo in the whole world. Despite this he organized as a part of management the first big birthday bash of UMP3 and acted as artist-supervisor for our headliner from Great Britain “Steve Gerrard” and played resident DJ of this night at Aquatower Duisburg. Later onthere followed several parties in Köln, Nürnberg, …

Since september 2005 he had his bimonthly residency at Aquatower Duisburg traveled the western part of Germany in order to play the clubs…

In the year 2006 it was a bit calm around Dexter because of his son’s birth and the world soccer championchips in Germany - so he had a lot of work ;o)

I got a couple of electro house cuts in my inbox today that I wanted to post up. The first track came from DJ Ryley. It's a re-edit of John Dahlback - Pyramid (Dirty South remix) with an added acapella on top to pump up the track. This is a really big tune, ready for prime time club action:

This next track is from Mike McGuinness. Mike is a DJ / Producer from the UK. His track is called 'Disco Biscuits' and fits in the electro house vein as well. Though not as banging as a lot of electro house, this track is a slow building groover, with some nice layering. The beat is a good steady beat and this track would also work well with sets of tech house, tribal and progressive house.

Inhabitant of Paris, Tanguy (Shag) discovered Techno current in 2000, through rave and free parties Quickly, he left Hardteck vibes to get into Trance and started djing in 2003. He is a co founder member of "Seventh Sky" crew, who promote parties in Paris area. (Flammes du Phoenix, White Rabbit, Majik Sterenn).

In 2005, he turned towards Progressive when he met Miss Tick (fat form rec.). With her, he discovered fat and groovy touch'. Today his Dj sets go from Electro to Progressive House and Progressive Trance. In 2007 he joined the "Fat Form Records" team with Dj Miss Tick, Dj Natas, Lunaspice / D-sens, Krugger Flaps and his friend Dj Nimut.

Tanguy is also graduate of ESRA in Paris (Ecole Superieure de Realisation audiovisuelle) and professional video editor. He made some video reports about parties and festivals, in particular during his trips in Germany. In 2007, he decided to live one year in Berlin, and completly fell in love with the city. A year of love, music and friendship made in "East-Side", which will change Tanguy forever. He directed his first Documentary, with his friend Quentin, "Schmetterlinge im Bauch", about this trip.
