<p>謙稱自己出身草莽，始終認為美學是高居廟堂之上，供人膜拜景仰的孫大偉，隨著年紀漸長，才從攻城掠地、逐鹿天下的蠻族，轉型朝追求精緻質感的品味人士。但他也認為，人對美的需求和好感，早已是深植在基因之中，前提必須照顧到現實溫飽問題；幸運的是，一旦人感受到美的雋永和深刻，就很難再退而求其次，走上重量不重質的回頭路。</p>
<p>孫大偉分析創意的本質，就是能改變世界，在他心中，好創意一定要猛、直接且動力十足，卻未必符合一般人認定的「美」。而成功的廣告，絕對來自於精確的判斷，他表示，要打響品牌知名度的方式很多，廣告不是唯一的選擇，以現代資訊傳播的途徑看來，網路就是很好的平台，值得廣告主思考如何納入宣傳架構內。</p>

<p>不受歡迎的風先生總是做些把人們頭髮弄亂、把沙子吹到人身上…等令人討厭的舉動，因此他總交不到朋友。有一天，他終於也有發揮用處的時候。這個廣告將風擬人化，創意與笑果十足。

<p>胡湘雲相信，每件事都會有一個很好的角度去看待它，如果創意工作者夠敏銳也夠用心，創意就能源源不絕產生。至於如何增加個人思考的敏銳度？她的建議是，要有知有覺地活。多數人只有在異地旅行時，才能處於清明的狀態，其實面對高度重複的日常生活，更應該自覺地尋求變化，從某個角度而言，處於邊緣狀態，對創作反而是件好事。</p>
<p>如何全面性提升社會對美的品味？孫大偉用「潛移默化，耳濡目染」八個字做出總結，如果能有意識地在每個選擇中，加入美感考量，久而久之，就能以集體的力量形成一個全新的美感社會。</p>

<p><em>BOSTON, Massachusetts. – July 24, 2008</em> – Web 2.7 media darlings Altovwood Werks today announced that the firm has successfully deployed an 8th generation immersive eLearning application for global heavy industry conglomerate BigLargeCo Inc.</p>
<p>Altovwood’s Chief Very Creative Officer, Stevee E. Elley, described the project’s objectives at a typically, oh so very-Altovwood Werks media gathering at the Pravda Vodka Bar. Accompanied by a harem of gorgeous hired brunette dolly birds, Elley explained;</p>
<p>“Mission Guarantee Our Objectives is the project name. It’s a bleeding-edge, massively single-player, pre-canned, slightly-experiential, many choice-response capturing, linear-progressive online virtually immersive click-thru broadcast. The virtually serious 3D world that we created was designed to instill in all 910,000 of BigLargeCo’s temporary factory workers an appreciation of the firms core values so that they can know them and are able to repeat them whenever instructed to by anyone wearing a dark grey suit and a BigLargeCo pin badge.”</p>
<p>Elley then went on to comment further about the project’s design and development process:</p>
<p>“When Chuck McChubby at BigLargeCo Inc approached us to take on this challenge we were, I must confess, really quite uncertain if we could rise to the challenge but rise to the challenge we did. We mobilized a team of the very best HTML 3.2, PrintShop Pro 4 and PowerSlide Presenter authoring experts who were available that morning, ordered in a truckload of caffeinated soda drinks and set to work.”</p>
<p>Amazingly, considering the sheer scale of the project – which is believed to be worth US$16.9million over two years - Altovwood Werks were able to conceptualize, design, develop, test, re-develop, critique, bemoan, deconstruct and deploy reasonably well in less than 9 months.</p>
<p>Users of the application are tracked using BigLargeCo’s SCROM 1.2-compliant Massive Learning System (MLS) enabling line managers and internal cost-reduction experts to identify workers who require an intervention. It has been deployed in the US and 187 other less-important countries and also translated into British English.</p>
<p>“We got value for money, great service and, I’d like to think, have raised the eLearning bar quite a bit with this one”, said Charley ‘Chuck’ McChubby, Very Senior Head of Things at BigLargeCo Inc.</p>

It is an ambitious yet achievable plan. It is about TPL, pedagogy and school planning not infrastructure. The plan is flexible and can be started now but full implementation delayed ie. Take a look at Seesmic, if you haven't already done so, and try micro-blogging with video You can follow me at <a href="http://www.seesmic.com/wgraziadei">http://www.seesmic.com/wgraziadei</a> as wgraziadei. There is a Twhirl client that links both togther on your desktop. See <a href="http://www.twhirl.org/project/twhirl">http://www.twhirl.org/project/twhirl</a>. From my perspective, these seem ideally suited for the mobile learning environment, especially with an interrogatory problem solving didactic approach.</p>
<p>I'm really sold on micro-blogging especially for mobile learning . It's the way to go - short bits and pieces. You pose a question around some information and get learners to answer. Something that would take end-users only 3-5 min to accomplish. Servers let the client know there's new content and pass it along. It's quick, easy and best of all, from my experience, learners learn best with the small bits and pieces of Q&#38;A information.</p>
<p>Does micro-blogging have a place in education and business? If so, WHEN, WHERE, WHY and HOW do you use or would you use either or both? Are these two approaches (text- and video-based) complementary companions? When do you use one and/or the other? What problems have you encountered using either?</p>

While many distance programs are separated into continuing education or adult education programs, infusion of distance education courses as options for traditional higher education students is beginning to take hold. For this to be successful, faculty of the institution need to be part of the process, specifically in developing and teaching the courses. This paper presents a factor analysis of the 46 motivating and inhibiting factors for distance education participation and an analysis of interaction between responses and level of participation in distance education, gender, age, faculty rank and tenure status.</p>

<p>“The production of the ‘Practical guide’ is part of the Industry Engagement Project of the Australian Flexible Learning Framework. Collaboratively funded by the Australian Government and all States and Territories, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework aims to promote the uptake of elearning and to support industry and business with the application of elearning practices.”</p>
<p>The relevant concepts have been incorporated into a visually stimulating conceptual map.</p>

<p><strong>T</strong>oday, I was searching for some information on Lectora (eLearning authoring tool training) and I found an actual user group in Chicago.  They are the <a title="CLUG" href="http://www.theclug.org/" target="_blank">Chicago Lectora User Group (CLUG)</a>.</p>
<p>This makes me very happy...with all my technical writing jobs, I am not doing as much eLearning these days. :-(</p>
<p><strong>I</strong> have emailed the contact person for the Chicago group...hopefully this will lead to some really great eLearning opportunities and Lectora growth. I will keep you all posted.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Em Julho, o trânsito de São Paulo melhora visivelmente por conta das férias. Neste período, a cidade não é sobrecarregada pelo trânsito de pessoas em busca de aprendizado. Não é notável como elas representam boa parte das população que circula pelas ruas? Além dos alunos, no período de férias não ocorre a circulação dos professores, dos funcionários das instituições de ensino, dos ônibus de excursões e dos pais que levam e trazem seus filhos. Tudo isso, além de sobrecarregar o trânsito, aumenta a poluição da cidade, gera despesas de deslocamento e custa tempo.</p>

<p>Pensando nisso, vejo como o elearning pode ter impactos diretos no planejamento urbano em um futuro próximo. As aulas presenciais poderiam continuar a acontecer quando realmente fosse necessário (uma atividade em grupo, por exemplo) mas com as pessoas aprendendo pelo menos parte do tempo em casa, o trânsito fluiria melhor, e de quebra os alunos não precisariam investir tempo e dinheiro para assistir aulas que poderiam ser transmitidas até sua casa via Internet.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Staff are invited to apply for funding for projects and activities which support the achievements of the University of Southampton Learning and Teaching Enhancement Strategy and the University of Southampton E-Learning Strategy. The scheme is open to all staff involved in teaching, or learning support, and individuals or teams may apply.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">There is a common application scheme for the two funds and initial applications require the completion of a one page “Expression of Interest” Form. The deadline for submission of Expression of Interest Application forms is noon on Wednesday 15th October 2008.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The funds can be used for projects of varying scale and nature. Ideally, the intention is to free up staff time for an agreed period so that effort can be focused on developing learning and teaching. Staff may collaborate with colleagues from their School, other Schools or Professional Service.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The criteria that will be used to select projects to be funded are:</p>
