The Croats report that he will be back in training in about two weeks which is excellent news.

Boro told them:

"We are all extremely happy that his rehabilitation went so well and that soon he will join up with the team."

And he reckons that Eddie will be as good as he was before the injury:

"I believe that Eduardo will soon return to his form that was before the injury"

So good news if these reports are true - we will have a top quality goalscorer back in the team for the next campaign.

We've heard even more recently as Croatia play without him in the Euros. Bilic, the Croatia coach, has now said that Eduardo might even be back for pre-season training at the Arse.

"He is recovering and may even join Arsenal for their preparations. Eduardo's absence is a handicap, we feel it all the time."

This would be great news, but the club should be wary about bringing him back too fast, I'm sure they will get it right this time, look at what happened when we tried to bring Van Persie back quickly - he got injured again.

For Eduardo to get back to his best he needs time to recover to 100% of what he had before. This will take a while and it won't help to rush him back.

Nevertheless, I hope his speedy recovery continues and he is back playing for Arsenal as soon as he is 100% better!

Arsenal announced today that they have locked Alex Song into a long term contract. He's just 20 years old and in his three years with the club he's yet to really win over the skeptics, but he rates very, very highly with Arsene Wenger who last said of him "I could show you all the (news) papers who slagged him off, but I've always liked him, he will be an Arsenal great" or something like that. I'm convinced Song will start for Arsenal next year at either holding midfielder or (more likely) as partner to William Gallas in central defense. Now, we know that Wenger is bull headed about decisions that he makes so you lot that love to hate Song ought to just go ahead and get yourself used to the idea that he's going to feature for Arsenal. Let it sink in... own the anger... there, isn't that better?

We'll see where the boss puts Song during the pre-season tournaments, which are set to kick off with the traditional friendly against Barnet on the 19th of July. Also set to feature there is Mexico starlet Carlos Vela, who scored a goal in Mexico's 4-0 thrashing of Peru. I know nothing about Vela, except that he's 19, he's got a very slight build, he's "highly rated," and he's competing for a spot in one of the most congested positions at the club; striker. Good luck little buddy!

Adding to that congestion up front, Eduardo is rumored to be ready to play in July. On the one hand I would be shocked, people just shouldn't be able to recover that quickly from having both tibia and fibula broken. But on the other hand, this is how far medical science has come for the people who are fortunate enough to afford it. Let's hope the Boss proceeds with great caution, the last thing we need is another van Persie type situation.

In a totally unrelated article, Gilberto has publicly asked the kids to stay together and achieve something great. I don't know where this agitation is coming from but someone in the squad is clearly agitating the others. Maybe it was the departure of Flamini and the imminent departure of Hleb that's causing this uproar? I don't know, but good for Gio to stand up for the squad and warn the kids that the grass is never greener. One guy who learned that lesson the hard way was Patrick Vieira and now the rumor mill has Pompey looking to re-form Arsenal 2000 by signing him for £4m. You know, I jokingly have referred to Portsmouth as Arsenal South and as the Island of Misfit Former Arsenal Players, but this latest rumor is just bizarre. What the hell is going on at Portsmouth? I fully expect to see a "Pompey in for Henry" article at any moment now. PICK ANOTHER TEAM TO SIGN FORMER PLAYERS FROM, HARRY.

Ok... one more thing... I thought it was funny to see an article that reprises England's international glory days. You know, like 1988, when there were quotas and top flight football had tons of Englishmen to choose from -- England must have done well that year right? Because we all know that the only thing that will "fix" football is affirmative action quotas for Englishmen!

According to reports in the last couple of days, an unnamed Premier League side is said to have shown a considerable amount of interest in the former Chelsea hitman Eidur Gudjohnsen.

His father revealed:

"One Premier League club has shown a lot of interest in Eidur.

"He would certainly be interested in a move back to England, but he is not going to rush into making a decision."

Arsenal notoriously like to keep negotiations quiet and remain anonymous until a transfer has been finalised. Newcastle and West Ham are known admirers and those club's have been casually spoken about by Gudjohnsen's father in the media many a time, so why not now?

Wenger did want Gudjohnsen before he decided on a move to Barcelona and I can't help but feel there may be something in this. He is up for sale at £4m, he's 29 - Wenger clearly is in the market for an experienced striker with the likes of Guiza being heavily linked. He wants to help shoulder the burden Adebayor has and is wary of injuries that can strike again with Van Persie vulnerable and Wenger knows how cautious he has to be with the miracle Eduardo is.

For me Gudjohnsen would be a good bit of business. He's extremely under rated in my view and reminds me a bit of Bergkamp with his first touch, passing ability and control. He knows where the goal is and also knows how to play the Wenger way as he is adept with the quick passing game. He would have no problem fitting in.

The question that remains though, is will Wenger buy a 29-year-old striker? I certainly hope so, the Frenchman is full of surprises and maybe this might just be one of them...

Segundo a Assessoria do Senador, a Lei que tramita no Senado não apresenta riscos a liberdade de expressão na internet, e também não levará à "criminalização em massa de usuários na internet que baixam e trocam arquivos (músicas, textos e vídeos) sem autorização do titular" como publicado recentemente pela Folha Online.

Prezado Otávio,

Para esclarecimento de suas duvidas envio a verdadeira proposta de combate aos crimes cibernéticos.  Existem pessoas que por ma fé estão divulgando informações erradas e infundadas  sobre esta proposta.

A VERDADEIRA PROPOSTA DE COMBATE AOS CRIMES CIBERNÉTICOS

- A proposta do Senador Eduardo Azeredo (PSDB-MG) para tipificar e punir os crimes cometidos com o uso das tecnologias da informação é um texto substitutivo a três projetos de lei que tramitam no Congresso Nacional – PLC 89/2003 (da Câmara); PLS 76/2000  e PLS 137/2000 (do Senado).

- O Senador Eduardo Azeredo é, portanto, relator de da proposta, com parecer aprovado pelas comissões de Educação (CE), Ciência e Tecnologia (CCT), Constituição e Justiça (CCJ), além da Comissão de Assuntos Econômicos (CAE), onde a proposta também recebeu emendas e parecer favorável do Senador Aloízio Mercadante (PT-SP).

- O texto espelha o que é necessário para coibir e punir os delitos de informática, modificando e ampliando cinco leis brasileiras: Código Penal, Código Penal Militar, Lei de Repressão Uniforme, Lei Afonso Arinos e Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente.

- Essas leis são antigas e não contemplam, em seus textos, os novos crimes, surgidos com o avanço das tecnologias da informação. Daí, a necessidade de modernizá-las.

- São 13 os novos crimes tipificados pela proposta: 1) acesso não autorizado a dispositivo de informação ou sistema informatizado; 2) obtenção, transferência ou fornecimento não-autorizado de dado ou informação; 3) divulgação ou utilização indevida de informações e dados pessoais; 4) destruir, inutilizar ou deteriorar coisa alheia ou dado eletrônico alheiro; 5) inserção ou difusão de vírus; 6) agravamento de pena para inserção ou difusão de vírus seguido de dano; 7) estelionato eletrônico (fishing); 8) atentado contra segurança de serviço ou utilidade pública; 9) interrupção ou perturbação de serviço telegráfico, telefônico, informático, telemático, dispositivo de comunicação, rede de computadores ou sistema informatizado; 10) falsificação de dados eletrônicos públicos e 11) falsificação de dados eletrônicos particulares (clonagem de cartões e celulares, por exemplo); 12) discriminação de raça ou de cor disseminada por meio de rede de computadores (alteração na Lei Afonso Arinos); 13) receptar ou armazenar imagens com conteúdo pedófilo (alteração no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente).

- NÃO. O usuário não será permanentemente vigiado pelos provedores ou por quem quer que seja. A proposta determina apenas que os provedores guardem dados de CONEXÃO – hora de on e off e número de IP – e que os repassem, mediante solicitação, à autoridade investigatória. Os provedores também deverão repassar denúncia DE QUE TENHAM SIDO INFORMADOS (por usuários que se sintam lesados), para a autoridade competente. O PROVEDOR NÃO É UM DEDO DURO, MAS UM COLABORADOR DAS INVESTIGAÇÕES. TUDO O QUE ELE FIZER SERÁ MEDIANTE AUTORIZAÇÃO DA JUSTIÇA!

- A lei vai punir apenas os maus usuários, aqueles que, a cada dia mais, usam as tecnologias da informação para cometer delitos como clonagens, difusão de vírus, pedofilia.

- A lei não se aplica a quem, por lazer ou trabalho, usa corretamente o computador, seja desenhando, seja baixando músicas, seja batendo-papo, seja dando opiniões em blogs, fazendo pesquisas ou quaisquer atividades semelhantes. O BOM USUÁRIO DEVE FICAR TRANQUILO, POIS NADA ACONTECERÁ A ELE, A NÃO SER O AUMENTO DE SUA SEGURANÇA, PELA LEI, NO USO DAS TECNOLOGIAS.

- NÃO! Não há qualquer cerceamento de opinião, atentado à liberdade de expressão ou censura. Vale lembrar que APENAS OS DADOS DE CONEXÃO SERÃO GUARDADOS. A NAVEGAÇÃO É LIVRE E SÓ SERÁ INVESTIGADA MEDIDANTE SOLICITAÇÃO JUDICIAL, O QUE, É CLARO, SÓ OCORRERÁ EM CASO DE DENÚNCIA DE CRIME. 2003/04: The Peak of the Invincibles' Success

We are close. Very close indeed to being as great, nay, as Invincible as the legendary Invincibles Team was.

This is the legacy. These 11 men who fought through 38 games, and did not lose even one of them. How can we recreate that with the team that we have?

Well, what did Henry bring in 2003/04? He brought 39 goals and 11 assists. If Adebayor leaves can Eduardo bring that? Well, Eduardo, in his first 31 games for Arsenal, which is the number of games before his injury, he brought 12  goals and 8 assists. Not as good as Henry's first 31 games, but it was his first season after having played in a very different league for several years, whilst Henry had played in Italy and France before moving to Arsenal. So, can Eduardo bring the goods that Henry did for Arsenal? Yes, but not in the same way that Henry did. He will bring the assists and the goals, but not in exactly the same way.

Bergkamp. Dennis Bergkamp was a different, different class that will never ever be seen again. But we've got the closest thing to him. And that's Robin van Persie. Along with Cesc he is the most talented player on the team. van Persie's vision and how ridiculous ideas for things to do on the ball (i.e. the goal against Milan, how the hell did he think of doing exactly what he did??) can eventually be almost as good as Bergkamp. In his career, Bergkamp made 393 appearances for Arsenal, and scored 106 goals in 11 years. van Persie has been with us for 4 years now, and truly loves the club. In those four years he has been able to bring 133 games, 43 goals, and 15 assists. He's a quarter of the way there, and he's only been fit for two of those four years. That is evidence of how great he can be. Just please, please, please, stay fit Robin! If you look at his injury record he is not injury prone, he has had bad decisions made about him, and has been very unlucky. Last October, he happened to land in a way that injured his knee for the Dutch, and against Manchester United, he made an awkward step and broke his foot.

On our bench next year we will be able to house two strikers, and they will be Bendtner and Vela. Both among the best young strikers in the world, and will provide firm competition for Eduardo and Vela, and they also have Sunu and Barazite behind them. Our striker situation is fine, even if Adebayor leaves. We could even start Bendtner, who would provide a height advantage. Also, he and van Persie showed that they can work together at least twice in the last campaign, and use Eduardo as a super-sub.

Next is ol' Bobby Pires. Another amazing member of the Invincibles, and Rosicky is supposed to be his replacement. Rosicky IS injury prone, but his is also a great player, showing many times that he can be a good replacement for Pires, if he could only stay fit. If he cannot stay fit, Nasri and Traore would both be happy to take his place, and both of them WOULD bring the goods, I know Traore would, he could become a true legend if he replaces Rosicky and stays as Arsenal's left winger until the end of his career. He would form an incredible relationship with Gael Clichy aswell. I think that Traore should play left-wing for Arsenal, and I convince myself more and more as I write this.

On the right, Theo Walcott has proven all of his doubters wrong, and I believe he can stay and bring back to life the energy, flair, speed and goals that Freddie Ljungberg once brought to the team. That's all I'm going to say.

Cesc Fabregas. He is the difference, he is what will make the current team better than the Invincibles. He provides the spark, the creation and the determination that Edu/Gilberto couldn't bring. We all know of his quality, and he has just proven it once again by winning EURO 2008 with Spain, and was my man of the match in the semi-final vs. Russia. But the main mystery this season is who will partner him?

That is the only question left, the last piece of the puzzle for me. The best option is Yaya Toure, and with Barca reported bidding 30 million pounds for Adebayor, all they have to do is add Yaya and it has to be a done deal. That's all I want this summer, for us to sell Ade and Hleb and get Yaya. All I want. I don't care about Nasri or Ramsey or Bischoff, all I want is Yaya, and this Generation is complete. But I doubt we will buy him, since we have Lansbury, Denilson, Diaby, Merida, Coquelin, and Frimpong in the ranks.

In defense, I don't think there's anything to say about Sagna, Clichy or Almunia, they were all brilliant. Kolo Toure and William Gallas looked like they were forming a good relationship in the first few months. but we were proved wrong after Gallas proved that he is the farthest thing from a captain and Kolo hit shit form. So, we need Nordtveit to replace Gallas in the next two years. Gallas is coming to the end of the line anyways, and Nordtveit is good enough, he should be a regular on the bench next season. We need a new Sol Campbell is what we need.

It was nice seeing brief appearances from Robin and Cesc in the Euro though, they really look like they are going to make a mark on the premiership this year.

Currently their are a few rumours going around. Senna coming to Arsenal, Guiza coming to Arsenal, Olafemi Martins and a load others are supposed to be coming. It would be nice to see a couple of new faces but I could imagine loads of changes could do more good then bad. I really believe that we are on the verge of something brilliant.

Another rumour going around at the moment is the one about Adebayor. Is he going to Milan, Barca or even Chelsea? My opinion is if he wants to go don't stop him. We need players who want to be there and I believe we have adequate cover with the likes of Van Persie, Eduardo, Walcott and even Bendtner. It won't be a big problem if he decides he will go.

I am currently working on a couple of websites at the moment that are to do with Arsenal. One is arsenalnews.co.nr and another is arsenal.co.nr. Arsenalnews.co.nr has all the news and rumours while arsenal.co.nr has all the facts and figures. It has been tough setting up these sites and keeping up with constant updates but I am trying to keep on top of it.

This is my first blog, I know it's a bit basic but football is something I like talking about and if you like these then I will carry on posting, so please do comment on them. That would really be appreciated.

I am looking forward to next season though, it seems really close by. I am excited by the recent arrival of Aaron Ramsey and the return of Carlos Vela. They really seem like they could be superstars. The new Fabregas or Theirry's of the world.

Although we didn't win anything last season at least we know we didn't miss Henry badly and in my opinion I believe we improved as a team without him but with his influence still on players like Theo and Fabregas.

O assunto de hoje envolve um tema que eu procuro evitar: a religião. Por quê eu evito falar sobre isso? Simples: "Falar sobre religião é procurar por discussões infindáveis."; como já dizia um amigo. Pois a religião consegue ser um tema mais polêmico que a política (ou o futebol). Por quê? Diferente de qualquer outro tema, ela envolve o fervor (ou, se preferirem, a fé) dos interlocutores. E, infelizmente, não é todo mundo que sabe respeitar as opiniões (e as crenças) alheias. Não estão acreditando? Basta vocês olharem para o atual quadro da Palestina.

Então, por quê me aventurar neste tema tão polêmico? Pois, na minha opinião, vale a pena arriscar algumas críticas para falar do assunto de hoje. Qual é o assunto, afinal? Um livro fascinante, chamado: A Batalha do Apocalipse. Se o livro é tão bom assim? Sim, o livro é supreendente. Sendo que, ele foi escrito por um brasileiro e não foi aceito por nenhuma editora.

Como assim? Como eu li um livro que não foi publicado? Vocês entenderam errado. Em algum momento eu falei que ele não foi publicado? Não. Eu apenas disse que ele não foi aceito pelas editoras. Então, quem o publicou? O próprio autor, Eduardo Spohr, bancou a publicação de seu livro. E, por causa disso, os poucos exemplares (que foram publicados) não são vendidos nas grandes livrarias. Então, como eu encontrei o livro? O Eduardo Spohr recebeu auxílio (e incentivo) de dois amigos. Que, por acaso, são donos do blog Jovem Nerd e, conseqüentemente, da Nerdstore.

Mas do que se trata este livro? O nome dele já não é sugestivo o bastante (rs)? Então, o que há de tão fascinante? Eu sei que o Apocalipse já foi abordado por milhares de filmes, livros, peças teatrais, etc.. Mas o tema é abordado de uma maneira diferente (e sobre um outro ponto de vista). Não estão entendendo nada? Então, vamos lá:

1. O Apocalipse é visto pelo ponto de vista dos próprios anjos e demônios (ou, se preferirem, anjos caídos).
2. Tanto anjos quanto demônios são passíveis de sentimentos humanos (como: cobiça, inveja, ira. etc.), e o autor explora estas fragilidades de caráter de forma muito interessante.
3. O Apocalipse, no livro, não é apenas o Dia do Juízo Final. Mas sim, o dia em que Deus irá despertar de seu descanso.

Como assim: "O dia em que Deus irá despertar"? Creio que, vocês devem se lembrar (mesmo aqueles que não são católicos) daquela velha afirmação bíblica: "Deus fez o mundo em seis dias e descansou no sétimo."; né? Pois é, no livro, este sétimo dia (em que Deus descansou) perdura até os dias de hoje. O Apocalipse é, justamente, o despertar de Deus (no qual os pecadores serão julgados).

Mas posso afirmar que esta não é a unica revelação d'A Batalha do Apocalipse. Garanto a vocês que: "A cabeça de vocês vai explodir." (rs); em diversas partes do livro. Porém, não posso dizer mais nada sem dar spoilers.

Entenderam agora? O livro é ou não é fascinante? Ou, no mínimo, inovador? Ficaram interessados (ou curiosos)? Cliquem aqui, para comprar A Batalha do Apocalipse.

Vengo a hacer una reseña de uno de los Stream de Flickr que más me gustan, creo que debo haber favoritiado mas de la mitad de las fotos y diseños que ahi se encuentran... Les hablo del pequeño gran Eduardo! (quien tambien sale en el post anterior).

Residente en Cabimas y Estudiante de Publicidad en La Universidad del Zulia, asi que por ahi ya se pueden imaginar lo que verán en su stream.

Recientemente hizo uno de los proyectos que mas me he tripeado de los contactos que tengo en flickr. Se trata de recrear juegos de video como MarioBros, Space Invaders, Pacman entre otros, con ayuda de fotos y un poco del photoshop (ps) "para ir al album".

Tambien es famoso por cometer algunos asesinatos, por los cuales es conocido como el Chuky de Cabimas... Pero no teman que solo mata a los miembros de flickr...

Bueno espero pasen a visitar a eduardo y disfruten lo que tiene en su Flickr...
