There's almost six months until the first East Anglian Derby of the season, but already the YouTube videos have started. The music on this one is pretty shocking though, so you might want to avert your ears if you like anything you can tap your feet along to. :)

We never should have released Danny Haynes. Damn, pesky, Haynes.

Football can be very cruel sometimes. I lost my cup semi-final this morning, we lost the derby and then Manchester United beat Arsenal to pretty much wrap up the Premier League title. Rubbish.

Sunday is the big one, the East Anglian Derby at Portman Road.
The Tractor Boys welcome Pablo

Sunday is the big one, the East Anglian Derby at Portman Road.

The Tractor Boys welcome Pablo "the human shower" Counago back from his three match suspension for spitting and Shefki Kuqi, David Norris and Jon Walters may all return.

Glenn Roeder reported no new injury worries ahead of the big game, so it'll be two from Gary Doherty, Jason Shackell and Alex Pearce at the back and two from Ched Evans, Jamie Cureton and Dion Dublin up front. Darren Huckerby is expected to start in what would be his 200th game for the Canaries.

This afternoon's results were a mixed-bag for both sides. A win for the hosts will taken them back to within a point of the play-off places, whereas a Canary victory will lift the visitors seven points clear of the drop-zone.

Local police have appealed to supporters of both clubs to enjoy the game but to behave "respectfully and responsibly", so if you're going to the game be good - and don't call each other "scum", it's not nice.

A few derby facts...

Derby Victories: Ipswich 58, Norwich 51 (27 draws).

Highest Derby Attendances: Ipswich 35,077 (Division One, September 1975) , Norwich 39,890 (FA Cup, January 1962).

League Position: Ipswich 7th, Norwich 16th.

Last Meeting: 4th November 2007 - Norwich 2 Ipswich 2.

Last Meeting at Portman Road: 19th November 2006 - Ipswich 3 Norwich 1.

Top Goalscorer: Ipswich - Walters/Counago (12), Norwich - Cureton (14).

Recently Played for Both Clubs: Andy Marshall.

My Prediction: I originally went for a draw in this game, and I think realistically that is most likely outcome, but there's no way I'm going for that. Ipswich Town 1 Norwich City 2. Come on you Yellows.

After Arsenal got screwed by two dodgy penalty decisions in the Champions League we should probably just give up on trying to predict football results because it's near impossible.

We saw last week that our top-scorer (Ant) only managed 10 points out of a possible 33. For the weeks to come we are going to standardise the amount of points available to 30. That means ten results each week. However, there is also going to be one bonus pick in random weeks. Last week we had the Bahrain Grand Prix and this week we are going with the US Masters.

The tournament will have started by the time we all get our picks in, but that's fine because it ends in the early hours of Monday morning. I have also included the East Anglian Derby (Ipswich v Norwich) in this week's picks because there are people who consider this fixture to be as big as the Man United v Arsenal clash.

So these are the fixtures for the week:

Birmingham v Everton

Portsmouth v Newcastle

Reading v Fulham

Tottenham v Middlesbrough

Derby v Aston Villa

Bolton v West Ham

Man United v Arsenal

Liverpool v Blackburn

Ipswich v Norwich

Chelsea v Wigan

Bonus: The US Masters:

So when you make your picks this week, leave a comment with your name and your scores.

Remember Saturday 1pm (12pm BST) is the cut-off.

East Anglian Derby key battles: Fabian Wilnis vs. Darren Huckerby

With the big game less than a week away I'm going to spend a little bit of time looking at a few of the key battles for Sunday's game, starting with the two most experienced derby players - Darren Huckerby and Fabian Wilnis.

Both have been in and out of their respective sides this season, but if they play (Wilnis at right back and Huckerby on left wing) it will see two fan-favourites going head to head.

The Tractor Boy's Dutch defender has been at Portman Road since 1999 and has long established himself as a fan favourite with the Ipswich faithful.

If memory serves the Town song about Wilnis goes something like...

Fabian Wilnis is a blue, is a blue, is a blue. Fabian Wilnis is a blue, he hates Norwich.

...which is nice, as we don't particularly like him either.

Huckerby joined the Canaries part-way through the 2003/04 Division One Championship winning campaign and has won the Player of the Season award twice as well as being short-listed for City's Greatest Ever XI.

Both players are out of contract at the end of the season so it is possible that the game at Portman Road will be both players' final taste of East Anglian Derby action.

Canary boss Glenn Roeder reveals his admiration for Dion Dublin once again:

Canary boss Glenn Roeder reveals his admiration for Dion Dublin once again:

He's a great human being first and foremost and a great football player after that. I think he's made the right decision to retire at the end of the season because I believe it's better for really top players to go out while they are still performing at a high level like this. I don't personally agree with good players ending their careers by dropping further and further down the leagues.

Dion has showed all season and again today what a top quality striker he is. He will be remembered as a wonderful example of a good old-fashioned English centre forward and did well again today (against Burnley) for his goal.

Skipper Mark Fotheringham on the sacrifices madee by the modern footballer:

Some young players make mistakes but in my eyes we get paid a lot of money to do the best job in the world. I go out and play professional football in front of 25,000 fans every other week. Even if you are sitting at the bottom of the table with pressure it's not a bad pressure.

My Dad's a scaffolder and he goes out to work every day. I get to kick a ball about for 90 minutes. It's a fantastic life and if that means sacrificing a few things for a few weeks then it's not much of a sacrifice.

Rossi Jarvis puts himself in the shop window:

My ideal aim is to stay at Norwich but I'm getting to the age where I need to play regular football and if I don't get that at Norwich, I would have to look elsewhere. And I'm willing to drop a level now to come back up later, if it means playing regularly.

Roeder reveals that the ground-work for the next batch of loans is already being done:

All I've really done is spoken to a few managers, sporting directors at clubs just to say that next year we will be looking for loan players again - and bear us in mind.

And the response has been fantastic. Not only have they said that they'll bear us in mind, but basically they'll give us the first look at their players to say 'Yes!' or 'No!' which is a great position to be in.

And that the players can't wait for next week's big game:

It's on to the derby against Ipswich next week and the players can't wait. They are itching to get on that bus and go to Portman Road for the game next Sunday. They were already talking about it after the game today.

Aren't we all Glenn, aren't we all...
