questo poster faceva bella figura nell'ufficio-sottoscala dell'agente Mulder, fra due settimane (per l'Italia il 5 settembre) negli U.S.A. uscirà il secondo capitolo in 35mm delle avventure di Mulder e Scully.

Ho ancora le vhs registrate mettendo in pausa quando passavano gli spot e puntualmente riprendendo prima del dovuto, col risultato che non ci sono pubblicità ma ci sono diverse anticipazioni sui programmi successivi :lol: , nonostante in seguito abbia comprato i DVD (quindi non rompete le scatole col diritto d'autore, pagato ed assolto!!!) di tanto in tanto mi fa piacere rivedere qualche episodio.

L'amarcord finisce qui, aspetto con ansia settembre per vedere come va a finire; a proposito, come si intitola il nuovo film? I Want To Believe ... ovviamente

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! DAMN RIGHT I WANT TO BELIEVE...

No me refiero a la canción de los  Red Hot Chilli Peppers sino a la serie de Televisión estrenada el pasado lunes en la cadena Fox que al parecer ha triunfado en Estados Unidos.

Mi curiosidad procedía sobre todo porque es el nuevo intento de David Duchovny de apartarse de la sombra del agente especial del FBI Fox Mulder. Visto los dos primeros episodios, el vaso está medio lleno.

Veamos.

Duchovny interpreta a Hank  Moody, un  hombre que ha ganado el mundo al precio de su alma.  Ha escrito un libro, “Dios nos odia a todos”, que ha sido adaptado al cine por Tom y Katie, no se dan apellidos pero no cuesta imaginarlos, como “Esa cosita loca llamada amor”. Hank tiene ahora más dinero de que nunca podrá gastar, ha perdido su inspiración y su familia, puede conseguir a cualquier mujer menos a la mujer que ama, por lo demás bien.

La serie es una mezcla de elementos que ya han funcionado con anterioridad: Moody es un mujeriego como Charlie Sheen en todos sus últimos papeles- se interpreta a si mismo- tiene una hija adolescente de incipiente sexualidad – como James Woods en Shark- escribe una columna sobre sus aventuras sexuales – como la insufrible protagonista de Sexo en Nueva York- y así sucesivamente.

La diferencia es de tono que aquí es mucho más explicito. Al menos en los dos primeros episodios vemos todo menos el pubis de Duchovny y sus múltiples conquistas. Sin duda esto puede contribuir al éxito de la serie.

En el lado positivo Duchovny es capaz de pasar con solvencia del drama a la comedia y demuestra su versatilidad como actor. Aunque a pesar de que es conocido por sus papeles de travestido – en Twin Peaks- y de loco carismático – en Expediente X- irradia un aura de normalidad  y de buen chico que no termina de cuadrar en el personaje.

En el lado negativo, ni el drama es tan dramático – Hank está forrado- ni la comedia es tan graciosa.  Lo que es peor sabemos que Moody no va a recuperar su inspiración porque la serie se acabaría, no va a volver a  Nueva York por la misma razón, ni en términos generales la situación va evolucionar. Y francamente, esto coarta cualquier pretensión que la serie quiera tener como drama.

David Duchovny se relanseaza cu acest serial produs de Showtime (12 episoade) facandu-ne sa uitam de Mulder din Dosarele X. Nici un episod de umplutura, iar producatorii au anuntat ca doresc sa-l continue, in conditiile in care doar episodul pilot a strans peste jumatate de milion de telespectatori.

“Californication” este o comedie in care replicile inteligente nu se opresc, iar ironia si sarcasmul sunt la ele acasa. Natascha McElhone este (una) dintre partenerele lui David Duchovny, cea principala as zice. Serialul lasa deoparte ipocrizia conservatoare tipic americana din alte filme si ne serveste portii bune de sex, tigari, alcool si limbaj vulgar de multe ori incorect politic, dar si misto de calitate la adresa cliseelor din viata americanului aflat intr-o clasa superioara si ca educatie si ca bani. Iar locul in care se intampla toate, Los Angeles, se preteaza perfect. Coloana sonora a meritat si ea toti banii producatorilor. Si apropo de muzica, replici din film fac referire la piese sau versuri intrate in cultura urbana americana de dupa anii ‘60.

Hank Moody, personajul principal, este un scriitor inteligent si carismatic, nu da doi bani pe banii pe care ii are si nici pe obiectele de valoare pe care le cumpara. Despartit de nevasta, cauta solutii in alte relatii scurte. Nu le gaseste. Are o fiica care ii mosteneste inteligenta. O fosta nevasta de care pare inca indragostit. A scris o carte de succes si traieste inca din vanzarea ei. Si este obsedat de oaresce principii de viata bine structurate. Respectiv are cei sapte ani de-acasa plus o educatie umanista beton.

Sinopsisul intr-o fraza: Un scriitor de succes isi cauta inspiratia pentru a scrie o alta carte incercand sa-si reconstruiasca familia, dar terminand mereu in partide de sex cu femei frumoase dar fara creier, partide pe care le asezoneaza cu alcool si tigari, in final reusind sa se desparta de toata lumea prin talentul sau de a spune oricui ceea ce crede cu adevarat.

Rating IMDB: lipsa

Rating soferul: 9,5

Mulder degradado a butanero, ante la atónita mirada de Scully, que solo acierta a decir "hidrocarburo".

Otra fórmula clásica, compatible con el anterior monólogo terminal, es el final "explícitamente abierto". Normalmente, todos los episodios son "abiertos" a secas: no sabemos qué ha pasado, pero al menos la ameba gigante, el calamar volador o el trilero radiactivo han muerto o se han volatilizado. Pero en el final "explícitamente abierto", resulta que la conspiración o paranormalidad sigue desarrollándose como si tal cosa, es decir: después de ofrecernos un supuesto fenómeno paranormal que parece obra de los payasos de la tele y justificarlo con una conspiración crónica, resulta que el episodio no ha servido para nada. Para que no quede duda, añaden un último plano en el que vemos al monstruo malo cenando a la luz de las velas con un conspirador. De este modo, aparte de aumentar la sensación de que se están meando en tu cara, los guionistas se reservan la posibilidad de repetir el mismo tema en otro episodio.

Tras una última reflexión o alguna imagen cargada de simbolismo, viene el fundido a negro y los créditos en letras blancas. Executive Producer y Amiguetes Inc. Fin del episodio.

Ope, well, I've started getting inquiries about my whereabouts; so I thought I'd post and save you all from worrying. :)

BTW, the image above is me, just in case you're wondering. I got new glasses a couple of months ago. I went with dark rims, because my previous set had been clear and offered little definition to my face.

My friend who took this picture called it my "Seriously Disturbed Look" (pic description: it shows me giving thumbs up and staring very intently off at something).

I'll tell you, the reason I haven't posted in the last week is because I've been on a drawing kick. This next picture really doesn't do the drawing justice, but as of right now, it's all I've got to show you.

It's also done now. It's taken on a very technicolor, psychedelic look. I call it my "Dragon Flower," because everyone sees dragons in it. Can you see the spider? It'd done entirely in pen - took me a week.

As for today's title, did you know that another X-Files movie is coming out? I saw the first one in theater. Like twice. I owned it on VHS and then I bought it again on DVD. I mean, this is serious dedication here. I even watched the show most of the way through the last season, until it just got so ridiculous that I couldn't stand it anymore and I stopped watching.

I started watching in season 3; so that was a pretty lengthy amount of time that I invested in it. The earlier seasons were by far the best - like the first 5 or so.

So I turn on the tv, yes? And they're advertising this X-Files movie and all I can think to myself is "Geez, David Duchovny is old!" Back in my tween and teen years, Duchovny was easily a major special interest of mine. We're talking serious obsession here. You should have seen my room back in the day. It was covered in clippings from newspapers, magazines -- you name it, I had it on my walls. Plus, I owned almost all of the books, and had taped a great many of the episodes.

Okay, I know it's the big thing now to go and do movies with the same characters 5, 10, 17 years later, but I don't know if I can handle it in this case. Indiana Jones worked out pretty good - mostly. Blues Brothers was fun. I just don't know if I can stand to see them on the screen again. It's not like they're really known for anything else. I know that I haven't seen Gillian Anderson (Scully) in anything since then. And the only thing I can remember Duchovny doing was "Evolution." Try to tell me that that didn't suck.

At least the other characters have moved on and really gone out there and kept working. I know that I've seen Nicholas Lea in a few other things. Ah, Nicholas Lea. To some you will be known into infinity as "Krycek," but for me, you will always be "Ratboy." *sigh*

--A true X-Phile

I think when I originally watched the X-Files, I was at an age where David Duchovny’s charms were lost on me because he was in the category of adult man and I was a pre-teen/middle schooler who did not have adult men on my radar, and rightfully so. As a twenty-five year old woman, things have changed. But there is an important “but.” I rather prefer the David Duchovny of the early 90s to the David Duchovny of now. He would have been thirty-three then (1993), not unacceptable to my current twenty-five. But in real life he is forty-eight, which is old enough to be my father. I suppose, the truth is out there, and the truth is that my complete lack of awareness of David Duchovny’s looks in middle school was for a reason, a reason that sadly still applies today.

And hey, something else I forgot is how awesome Gillian Anderson’s character, Dana Scully, was. She said she auditioned for the role of Scully because "for the first time in a long time, the script involved a strong, independent, intelligent woman as a lead character." Of course, Fox almost ruined it by trying to find someone else with more sex appeal but the producer was very firm about wanting Anderson, and so she played the role of Scully and won a fistful of awards for doing do.

The X-Files is a humorous show but I do love how there is a strong, intelligent woman in a leading role, and I love the fact that she has these qualities and her own brand of beauty without being the Hollywood bombshell ideal. You should see some of the baggy sweaters she rocks and the “I’m-a-career-woman,” hair, but always with perfectly done lips. Otherwise known as how a real woman might look who is doing a heck of a lot of over time and doing only what she has the time for to look good. She gets into a lot of trouble, sure, but she gets herself right out too, even if Duchovny’s character, Moulder, does think he’s coming to her rescue (he’s always just a bit too late). And the best part – Moulder loves her more than anything because she is the way she is, even though they both are careful to never let anything happen (although oh how the viewers wish it would!) because they know how it would complicate things.

Anyway. Yeah. I am watching the X-Files and loving it. Loving the eye-candy, loving sub plots I never picked up on as a kid, loving the nostalgia of fungi that explode through victims’ throats. This is the summer of a jobless school counselor, I can feel your envy.

duchovny's character, for all of his flaws, is intensely likable both as a father and a surly, womanizing writer.  i've never really pictured him as a comedic actor, but he's got such an easy charm about him that i'm amazing that someone didn't pick him for this kind of show sooner.  his comedic turns on the x-files always made for some of the most memorable episodes.

plus, there's boobs.  lots of 'em.

Normally I hate reruns, but given the choice between reruns of crap TV shows and Californication, I'll take the latter every single time.

Sí, hay vida más allá del "podemos!!!" (éste es un tema aparte, pero lo pospongo para cuando lleguen los cuartos) y Cuatro estrenó anoche esa gran serie llamada 'Californication'. Los que me tenéis como blog de cabecera (juas juas) ya sabéis que he hablado de ella no sólo una vez (antes de ser estrenada), sino que también hubo una segunda (cuando terminó allí la temporada).

Conseguí convencer a alguna que lo viera y alguna otra tenía cosas más importantes que hacer, alguno incluso me llamó "pesado", pero es esa persistencia la que me ha llevado a ser un gurú de las series (en un pequeño círculo, es cierto) así que seguiré a lo mío. En cuanto a la serie en sí, me gusta volver a emborracharme y jugar a imaginarme que soy Hank Moody (eso sí, yo sigo con calzoncillos de tela, de los bonitos y no la mierda esa de apretados que aumentan la temperatura de los testículos y empeoran la calidad de los espermatozoiditos...), en Barcelona por ejemplo, Ciudad Condal que me ya me espera con los brazos abiertos.

Ahora espero que reduzcan los capítulos a uno o dos por noche, básicamente porque les quedan 9 y se le van a fundir en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Y, por favor, no se salten la cabecera inicial, que es una linda joya. Tanto que suena cuando me llaman al móvil, salvo quien tenga melodía personalizada, como mis viejos (el clásico "a veces llega un momento en que te haces viejo de repente..." de Celtas Cortos). Para quien no pudo disfrutarla, aquí la pongo:

Zwar kommt die Serie erst Ende 2008 nach Österreich aber ich bezweifle das die Deutsche Version so gut sein wird wie die Originale. Da geht so ziemlich jeder Wortwitz (und davon lebt nunmal die Serie!) verloren. Aber das is ja bis jetzt bei jeden Film/Serie der Fall gewesen oder?

La serie parla di uno scrittore newyorkese alle prese con problemi di scrittura e di vita.
Dopo il successo del primo romanzo si trasferisce a Los Angeles per vedere trasformato il suo libro in un film melenso sull'amore. Sull'onda della crisi scaturita anche perchè lasciato dalla sua compagna Karen con cui ha avuto una figlia (ormai tredicenne) Hank si porta a letto tutte donne che conosce, compresa la figlia sedicenne del quasi marito della sua ex.
Serie rigorosamente per adulti per la quantitò di nudi e di parolacce, Californication esce sicuramente dai binari per regalare un tipo di intrattenimento meno caramellato e più vicino alla realtà.

the new trailer to the X-files sequel was released yesterday, and the first time I watched it I have to admit I was a little dissapointed.  As a fan of the show I really appreciate the dialogue and suspense generated from that dialogue, but the new trailer pushes the film more in an action direction.  So naturally I was a little worried about my beloved X-files was going, but a close confidant pointed out that it's only a trailer, and action is how they have to sell the movie.

The film is set to release July 25th and stars David Duchovny as Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, The trailer also shows rapper Xzibit as a currently unnamed FBI agent (Which I think is pretty cool by the way).

     After wathing the trailer a few more times(and I kind of like it now for what it is) and doing a little digging on the subject of the plot I found out that Chris Carter and 20th Century Fox are going to great distances to keep the project a secret. The story however will be cannon with the television's line, though it won't focus on the story's main plot. The film instead will be a action/thriller with it's own standalone story.  While I don't like the idea out the X-files being technically considered an "action" movie I must have faith in Chris Carter's work and hope for the best.

Are you ready for sweet, sweet, sci-fi action? I know I am.

Claro que a lo mejor es pura envidia. Empiezo a estar harta del tópico "escritor/guionista que no para de follarse todo lo que se le pone por delante y correrse unas juergas que ríete tú del Marqués de Sade". Yo encajo más en el tópico "escritor/guionista que no escribe, lleva una vida de asceta que ríete tú de Fray Luis de León y se pasa todo el día viendo capítulos de Stargate/Galáctica/Dr. Who". Mierda de reparto de tópicos...

Há muito tempo que não via uma série, filme ou sequer lia um livro que me despertasse tanta vontade de escrever. Escrever? Foda-se ... até de viver!

Hank Moody estaria a rir-se e a gozar com este meu comentário. Cliché, pieguice e não sei quantos mais adjectivos.

Mas a verdade é essa mesmo. A série é boa! Mesmo boa. Mexe comigo.

E se julgam que vai ser complicado ver o David Duchovny num papel que não o de Agent Mulder ... desenganem-se. O homem é bom no que faz e ao fim de dois episódios já não se lembram das horas infindáveis que perderam à espera de ver se o Mulder e a Scully finalmente soltavam toda aquela tensão sexual acumulada. David fá-lo (palavra interessante esta) e muitas vezes nesta série. E a Scully não deixa saudades.

Claro que o David é bom, mas o resto do elenco é fenomenal. Do agente à sua "mini-me", da filha com o pior corte de cabelo das últimas duas semanas [n.d.r.: a ModaLisboa foi a semana passada] à amável e estranhamente bonita mulher, passando pela disfuncional, precoce e com uma esquerda que intimidaria o Muhammad Ali filha do tipo que vai casar com a ex-actual-mulher de Moody. Confusos? Vejam a série!

Duschovny säger att det är konst det han gör, men det är kanske att överdriva. Jag kan nog tycka att han är rätt lika i alla sina roller sedan han spelade den ufo-febriga Mulder (han var jättebra i den rollen). Hans mimik har låg tonus som om han just har gjort en rotfyllning. Men jag ser fram emot denna nya roll han intar. Är det något nytt och spännande eller är det en kejsare i nya kläder?

Vi ser ju massor av film som handlar om mord, en del mord är mer ok än andra... var går våra gränser till det som är acceptabelt? Serien Dexter har jag sett med skräckblandad förtjusning, den är ohygglig och roande och intressant på samma gång, den spelar på galenskapens arena och kittlar så där dödsskönt på tabusträngarna. Kan man säga att man sympatierar med en mördare, en seriemördare dessutom? Även om det är fantasi? Är det mer ok om en hjälte dödar en fiende i självförsvar? Givetvis. Men visst Dexter är komisk många gånger för att den är så där torr och självironiskt berättad, en kille jag älskar att hata....- typ-ja-ni-vet.

- Fox Mulder (The Blessing Away S03E01)

Jeg vet ikke hvor jeg skal starte. Dette er rett og slett storslagent. Sesong 3 tar oss med inn i 24 episoder av høy kvalitet, og jeg er ganske sikker på at en av de beste episodene som er spilt inn ligger her. En drøy påstand, det gjenstår tross alt 6 sesonger. Vel, jeg har kanskje tatt munnen for full allerede, men episode nummer 20, Jose Chung´s "From Outer Space", er en absurd komedie som ikke er typisk x-files. Dette er sesongens andre episode skrevet av Darin Morgan (også den første en komedie). Her møter vi forfatteren Jose Chung som blir betatt av en historie om en utenomjordisk hendelse, og vil skrive bok om den. I den forbindelse gjenforteller Scully historien, men samtidig ser vi historien fortalt av de andre involverte. Jesse Ventura og Alex Trebek har helt sjukt morsomme roller i denne episoden.

Morsomt er det også å se Jack Black og Giovanni Ribisi i tidlige roller i episoden D.P.O. Ellers har vi masse andre gjesteroller, endel tidlige roller som nevnt over, men også fra etablerte skuespillere. Men det er ikke dette som gjør X-Files. Det er historiene, og den røde tråden som kommer mer og mer til syne. Minnene om alt det som gjenstår nøstes opp når The Bounty Hunter titter fram i siste episode. Cancer Man blir ikke snillere, konspirasjonen vokser med uforminsket styrke og motgangen er nådeløs brutal. Enkelthistoriene er gode, og det jeg velger å kalle føljetongen tar seg også veldig opp i denne sesongen. Til nå klart den beste sesongen. Det er likevel råttent gjort å avslutte en sesong med en "to be continued.."

Jeg føler vel kanskje at det er på tide å fortelle litt om kvaliteten på dvdene. Det er skralt. Dette er ikke nyoppusset og restaurert. Ei heller noe lydspor av høy kvalitet. Formatet er 4:3, og hakker i kantene. Man forventer litt mer når man kjøper noe slikt som jeg har kjøpt. Undertekster finnes på et utvalg uforståelige språk, så da blir det engelsk for hørselshemmede, noe som kan være litt forstyrrende. Alternativt kan man velge å ikke ha tekster, men personlig synes jeg det er bedre med da det til tider intrikate og tekniske språket kan bli litt for mye.

Men det gjør ikke så mye til eller fra. For det er serien som er det viktigste, og kvaliteten på den er av aller høyeste karakter.

Esa serie destroyer, que ha sido adquirida en España por Cuatro y de la que ya se piensa rodar una segunda temporada, cuenta la vida de Hank Moody, un escritor en crisis: adicto al sexo, que se droga y bebe y que es brutalmente sincero (en la línea de House) y que, pese a todo, cae simpático.

A mi desde luego me ganó para la causa con esta escena del primer episodio, en la que Duchovny, le hace a un pesado en el cine lo que todos, alguna vez,  hemos deseado hacer con los que nos estropean una película ...

De hecho, en cierta ocasión ya fue el colmo, porque un individuo con poderes muy paranormales consiguió entrar allí colgándose del bolsillo un trozo de papel garabateado a boli que imitaba de forma burda un auténtico identificador del EF BI AI. Hay que aclarar, no obstante, que aquel tipo era "The Pusher", un fenómeno de la manipulación mental que era capaz de hacer lo que quería con la gente. Lo realmente inexplicable de este tipo es que, en vez de emplear su habilidad sobrenatural para pasarse por la piedra a cuantas macizas quisiera, el tío usaba sus poderes para perpetrar trastadas diversas y, como ya he dicho, para entrar en el FBI, donde no hay nada interesante que ver y encima hacen un café malísimo, según se rumorea.

Pero ya que hablamos del FBI, no podemos dejar de mencionar al no-sé-qué adjunto Skinner. En realidad ya ha sido citado indirectamente en el decálogo, pero vale la pena nombrarlo de nuevo ya que tiene una presencia casi constante en la serie. Se trata de un hombre que se quedó calvo de pensar por qué le habían dado un despacho tan grande si tiene un cerebro tan pequeño. Encima, el sentido del humor no es su fuerte; si un día se riera un poquito, tendría agujetas a la mañana siguiente. Se hizo famoso por ser el jefe de los dos agentes superespeciales hasta que al pobre Mulder le quemaron el despacho (como que ahí entra quien quiere...) y lo reasignaron a otro departamento donde molestase menos, mientras Scully, patidifusa, susurraba "cloranfenicol" con gran desazón.

Y, bueno, qué decir del "trío Calavera", que no aparece en el decálogo pero que está presente en muchos episodios cumpliendo la función de informadores simpáticos, o simplemente apoyando el discurso paranoico del agente Mulder con datos probablemente inventados por ellos. Se trata de 3 chalaos que viven en una especie de caravana destartalada, aunque posteriormente se mudan a un piso. No se sabe muy bien de qué viven, pero siempre están a oscuras (¿para ahorrar luz?) y son conocidos como "los pistoleros solitarios" (esto es en serio). Son feos de cojones, por cierto.

Trío la-la-la. Son unos hachas. El del medio opina que Scully está buena.

Pero bueno, para qué continuar. La cuestión es que la historia ya está escrita. Expediente X terminará algún día, y sus conspiraciones y chorradas se escribirán con letras de oro en la historia de las series televisivas. De hecho, a estas alturas ya es un clásico en vida. Duchovny y Anderson alcanzarán el estrellato por sus papeles en "The X-Files", aunque como suele ocurrir en estos casos, no se les debería augurar un futuro demasiado brillante, ya que han quedado absolutamente encasillados.

Fama. En la serie de la tele, no era tan fácil.

Gracias a esta serie, hemos aprendido que los aliens son tontos, que los fenómenos paranormales son de lo más normal y que los gobiernos malgastan nuestros impuestos todavía más de lo que creíamos. Y, por supuesto, que no debemos confiar en nadie, en nadie (en nadie). Por todo ello, y por mucho más, gracias, Expediente X.
