We are currently camped out at an extended stay place until our stuff gets here. I'm glad we got here safe and without any major problems on the road. I did put a nice dent in the back door of the Scion when trying to close the hatchback without having anything fall out. It was pretty stuffed.

The Avon Roadrider tire is a great choice for your cafe racer. These tires have a great reputation, and seem to be very affordable compared to Dunlops and Pirellis. I just bought a set of these tires for my cb550 and love them. They are much better quality then oem cafe racer tires, and they look so much cleaner and more modern thanks to the crotch rocket style tread pattern. Oh yeah did I mention that they come in all the weird sizes that these old bikes require......and that I know where to get them for the best possible price. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a new warning on Friday regarding the popular painkiller fentanyl, basically a re-issue of its 2005 warning. The FDA estimates that the patch version of the potent painkiller may have been involved in more than 3,500 deaths.

Fentanyl patches (brand name Duragesic) are typically prescribed to patients with chronic pain, or to those who have trouble swallowing pills. The patch's transdermal system releases a uniform dosage of the drug over the course of three days.

“I think there is more that needs to be done, or else we’re just going to see this [warning] happen again another two years from now.” “The deaths are going to continue.”

The FDA also warns that heat and exercise can cause the patches to release the drug at a faster and potentially lethal rate. Patients who experience breathing problems while using fentanyl should call their doctors immediately, because high doses of the drug can cause the patients respiratory system to fail.

What are you waiting for?

But in all seriousness... there's nothing more important than your one on one time with God.  I have to admit, it's really hard for me to do this daily and to really put my whole mind and heart into it.  Sometimes I'm so tired, it's hard to really absorb all the material.  But when I do, and when I get myself to memorize parts of the scripture.. I am so very glad that I did.  Nothing can sustain you like the word of God.  When you go to a church that has a great community, it's easy to kind of just hop on ride along, I know because I did that for some years.  But during the hard times especially, you realize that something is really missing...and that's the connection between you and God.  I know this might not make much sense.. but my point is, daily devotional times are what keep us going in the long run.  As much as we can praise God on Sundays with awesome praise, attend the weekly Bible studies and share with each other.. it really boils down to your own personal relationship with God.  Recently, I've been really having a hard time remember my memory verses and have felt even discouraged at times.  But with the help of a friend, I was able to review and solidify the verses I memorized for the past two months.  I've learned through this the importance and the treasure of knowing God's word by memory.  It takes me a lot of work...more than the normal person I think.. to memorize a verse but in times of need, desperation, discouragement, sadness, temptation.. even without trying to, these verses come to mind.

Anyway, I've gone on longer than I want to.  So check it out and you'll see how great it is.  If you are new to reading the Bible, maybe you can read the passage every other day or three times a week.  And Kelly Kang, wife of Pastor Ed Kang, has her own blog site where she puts some of her own Weekly Scripture Reflection insights up.

While this does not surprise me, it is somewhat startling to see it printed in black and white by a major research university. What I’ve been calling the Painkiller Epidemic is essentially a rising tide of patients developing powerful addictions to prescribed opiate-based painkillers. Like it or not, these illegal web merchants are simply responding to a very real surge in demand.

If the failed “War on Drugs” has taught us anything, we should know that shutting down these Websites will not fix the problem. Fundamental changes in the way narcotic painkillers are used and prescribed are needed to combat this problem in the future. As for the present, the needs of these addicts will be addressed one way or another—either through treatment, or through the criminal—and often violent—machinations of the black market.

It’s up to us to choose.

With the deal likely to go through, there will be alot of cash that retail and institutional investors will need to reallocate.  When the deal was announced last year, the general consensus was that Telus (T)would benefit once the deal was done and that can still very well be the case. Other companies that show good value include the cable company Cogeco (CCA) while Rogers an Shaw should see some funds their way as well.

A couple of yield ideas if you want to look outside of North America include Deutsche Telekom (DT) and France Telekom (FTE). Dt has a dvidend yield of 7.5% while FTE is currently yielding 7.7%

This is way overdue, but here it is. I took these pictures of my cb550 last night, and thought I had better let everyone know what was new with my project. I don't have a ton of time to work on this so its taken me a while to get much done, but here it is. All the details, and more pictures can be found on the "My CB550" page. I figured it's about time to highlight another bike today, so I chose this beautiful example of a cb750. This bike is the quintessential cb750 cafe racer. Check out the dope clip-on handle bars, the dual drilled front rotors, the giant Norton style tank, and the classic bubble cafe seat. Even the paint scheme screams classic. I really like this bike because it seems to be such a pure example of what so many of us motorcycle enthusiasts strive to create. Take notes and look it over closely because it's the perfect mix of cafe and vintage.

Today I decided to post a little tip for polishing your cafe racer engines. These older engines are often covered in oxidation, and other nastyness from being left out in the elements. Besides taking your engine apart and polishing it on a wheel, the best way I have found to clean them up is to use Mothers brand mag and aluminum polish. Simply dip a clean rag into the polish and start scrubbing your engine cases, covers, carb tops, wheels, and whatever else needs shined up. Let it sit for a few seconds and wipe it off with a different clean rag. Be warned, it takes a few times and quite a bit of elbow grease to get good results, but its well worth the sore arm. Start scrubbing.

First we need to have the ability to generate a color code .. if you have a programme such as photoshop .. paintshop pro etc .. you can use the color selector to get just the right shade you require

Photoshop users just need to use the color picker .. then double click the color box on the left then copy the color code from the box ( see below )

if you don't have any programmes don't worry ... you can still create your own custom colors .. heres a great site that generates the code for you .. you can even mix your own color and it gives you the code .. once you have your code .. you need to apply it to your product .. on the zazzle design tool ... choose " background" you will see at the bottom of the color selection theres already a code in the box .. delete that code and paste in your custom code ( see below )

IMPORTANT : do not include the # from any image codes just the numbers and letters .. and to apply the code make sure you press the enter key on your key board ...

Thats how to apply a custom color to a product .. you can do the same to custom design your store .. simply go to your "my zazzle " .. gallery tab ..then on the left click on appearance

tick the create a custom look option .. then select from the sections of the gallery you want to apply custom color to .. generate your code and paste into the hex box hit the enter key
