So last night all shit hit the fan. My crazy neighbour who lives across the hall from me finally got kicked out last night and was sent packing with her cat in tow. The poor kitty sounded so sad, I was more concerned for him than that drunk bitch. Both the women in the apartment drink, but one was a stupid drunk and the other was a violent drunk. The stupid drunk was actually okay when she was sober. I've never seen the other woman sober, PERIOD. She was always hanging around in the halls propped up against a wall or being dragged home by her scumbag boyfriend.

So anyway, last night the two of them came home steaming drunk as usual and one of them hit the other. Then a fist fight ensured with the violent drunk getting kicked out because she wasn't on the lease. The cops came over to talk to the other woman who had calmed down a little by now, but I could see through my peephole that she was bleeding so the EMT's were there too.

Then I went over to Jeff's and we got talking about the two of them and I discovered that the apartment manager was kicking out her boyfriend and he was a little disorientated because he didn't know what to do next. He said that he still loved her and that they had their daughter together so he didn't want to move back home to Texas because that would mean that he would never see her again. I honestly don't know how he put up with the apartment manager for so long. Sure he's knocked her around a couple of times, but I know that's only because she's thrown stuff at him and started fights. She's a pretty aggresive person and he's very placid...they're not a good match at all.

Drama, drama, drama. I'll keep you posted on what happens next ;)

I would do anything. ANYTHING..to end Title Town USA. I simply don't get it. The other night our lead anchor, John Anderson, told us J.D drew was born in Valdosta, Georgia and that is why they call Valdosta title town. Also, we learned they have some high school football team that won some titles.

Cool.

So they're Title Town? Couldn't this just be solved mathematically? Like take a city and see how many titles their pro and college teams have won? Guess not.

Other head scratchers that make me want to take up Yoga:

1. Your most dangerous drunk city in the United States? DENVER, COLORADO!!! Second to Last? Miami, FL. Ahead of Durham, North Carolina and Alaska Fairbanks. Denver has more crazy drunks than Miami? In a word...No

2. Healthiest States: 1. Colorado...ok, makes sense. But with all those drunk people so healthy? Cool, whatever. But number 2? Montana. Yes, ok, because all of 30 people who live there are 200 pounds. Very healthy indeed.

3. Hottest women according to Hot or Not:

Number 1: Washington DC

Number 2 New Orelans

Number 3 San Diego

Unless San Diego had a Charger like playoff peformance come decison day, I will never believe that DC and New Orleans has hotter women than San Diego. I am sorry.

These wacky debates are nothing compared to Title Town USA!!!

All drunks are alcoholics, but all alcoholics are not drunks, though they can be. No longer able to function competently, drunks become messy. They show up for work late or not at all. Others, like the police, debtors, drug dealers, boyfriends, or baby mamas, show up at their work places in their stead looking for them. Money disappears from tills, unacceptable amounts of food and drink is unaccounted for after their infrequent shifts. Mysterious, unexplained injuries and bruises blossom on their bodies, which are increasingly clad in unwashed garments. Visages become permanently enreddened from the bursting capillaries underskin. Some change jobs with regularity, others are lawyers.

One of the most common reasons a girl from a agency gives to a victim on the Internet is that all the men in their country are lazy and drunk. This is a lie. This is one of the many statements girls make to convince you life where they live is hopeless. It couldn't be farther from the truth. Ukraine and Russia do have problems like all societies. The truth is the females in FSU countries under the age of 30 have many men to choose from. As in all societies, there are some good people and some bad ones too. When a girl on the Internet tells you she is poor and helpless, she is both lying and lazy. Probably drinks too.

I had a ton of stuff today that would have been perfect for the blog. Breaking news right after deadline, funny stories, pictures, but it shall have to wait.

Just so you know: the scanner says a guy is sitting in a Hoquiam parking lot -- drunk and bleeding from his face. Apparently, he does not find that alarming.

so many things to rant about and gripe today. all infuriating and aggravating.

1. bunch of drunkards outside the pub at the bus stop where i usually take the bus to work. waving madly as i alighted the bus from across. suspected they were drunk, making a lot of noise to call me out and attract my attention. then as i was walking away i heard a guy shout the most obscene and insulting thing ever. i wanted to call the cops right there and then. get charged for sexual harassment. a resident who has lived in that area for more than 10 years, being harassed on her way home. excuse me but do i look like one of those kinda girls to you? if and ever this happens again by the same group of guys, i'm going to make sure they learn a very hard lesson with regards to respecting women.

2. i've met some cab drivers who think i'm working at one of those sleazy bars just because i tell them that i'm heading to tanjong pagar. just because i'm a tanned girl and you automatically assume that i work in those kinda environments? i reveal less than they and i sure as hell don't have an accent nor speak in a dominant native language.

bloodyhell really. pisses me off.

Saturday, I was in Laguna Niguel early and saw that the “Annual Moon The Amtrak” event was going to be big. It was only 9 am and there were already a lot of people. I went off and did some errands and came back through around 1:30. I got there just in time to see the Orange County Sheriff Helicopter come in over the tracks and announce that the crowd would have to disperse and leave the area as it was an un-lawful assembly.

In general, I followed the deputies, while hanging back, so as not to encourage anyone form trying to make the news. The deputies were calm and conversed normally with anyone that approached then. I saw several times deputies and attendees laughing together as if they were at a Jaycee softball game. There was an obvious method on their part as they moved through the crowd and gave everyone plenty of time to get handled anything illegal and in the open. I saw one sheriff sergeant speaking for awhile with an apparently upset woman and then was speaking with someone, using her cell phone. I got a shot of it and it was especially interesting to see a helmeted sheriff using her cell phone with a fluffy ball dangling form it. He must have solved the problem as she walked away much calmer than when she came up to him.

On the crowd's part, they were generally upset that as there had been no incident, why was it getting shut down? I was asked several times if I knew what had happened as they believed in general that something must have occurred. I had asked a deputy if he knew early on and he responded that he didn’t know and that he just got the word to go down and here he was. This is standard as information is always handled through a public information officer. There still could have been something but didn’t seem like it.

I heard someone say that it had started with a medical aid and the emergency personnel had a difficult time making it down. I don’t know if that was true. This was really a good crowd actually and I think the only impediment to emergency response would be by someone drunk getting in the way on accident, getting run over or becoming belligerent because of a uniform. I don’t remember seeing any bathroom facilities and that could be an issue. Everyone was minding their own business and the crowd was gentle. I have seen much more controlled, sanctioned events with a similar theme, and the feeling for me has always been that something could easily happen. Once I was there, I was wary of course, but this crowd just didn’t have that vibe.

Ultimately, I will reason that some over the top and repeated nudity shattered the day for the “Moon The Amtrak” event. Its true that anyone down there would have to expect this type of stuff going on to a certain degree and as well, it’s not like they were around any homes where innocents would have happened upon them. If you were down there then you were there for the party.

Its always a few jerks that ruin it but a good job must be recognized on the part of The Orange County Sheriff’s Department and especially because they obviously meant for it to be that way. Maybe our new Sheriff has already had an impact; I would really like to think so. The crowd deserves credit as well. They definitely didn’t agree with the order and yet peaceably did as they were asked and without incident.

It has been interesting riding the fearless gear-less over the past week. I was able to ride to Cent

It has been interesting riding the fearless gear-less over the past week. I was able to ride to Centennial Park and did about 6 laps before I went home on Monday. Feeling good nothing becoming an issue. The next night I went to Centennial again - I even had better lights for the occasion and was doing laps when a Police car, fire engine and a ute from the fire brigade came into the park.

They went up to the Kiosk end and the fire engine and ute parked in the areas designated for motor vehicles, while the idiot cops parked in the bike lane. The idiot cop who drove the police car got out not wearing any high vis gear - in fact he was wearing a dark jumper over his police uniform. His partner called out to him about the legality of parking in the bike lane. The idiot cop replied "The park is closed to bikes they shouldn't even be here" in an accent that reminded me so much of Guido Hatsis.

Being a bit of a stirrer I decided to do another lap and rode around again (there was other cyclists training in the park at the same time I was. When I went through again there was space for cyclists to pass the pigs and the fire engine and firies ute. I wrote a post on Sydney Cyclist and got a couple of replies. It is good to see that not everyone is on the side of the cops. I even got some good feedback from a staunch opponent.

I decided to call it a day eventually and rolled back home. Just as I was going to go I heard an explosion that I thought was a tube going off. I thought I was in trouble until I checked the tyre and found it was still very much intact. When I saw the spoke I knew the trouble was worse. The other times spokes have gone on me they have died quietly. Only to be noticed when the wheel was out of true, this time the spoke has broken in 2 places. It makes me think something got caught in the spoke? I checked the wheel under the light of the bike headlight which I held in my mouth while I rotated the wheel around. I was able to get the bike home but could not be adventurous with regard my route home.

I took the fearless gear-less to Cheeky Monkey to get another spoke. The ride there was hairy enough. I was going to ride from there to Toastmasters at Petersham. I got there and they were busy. No problem I thought I would collect the bike on Friday arvo - if they got it done and given that there was going to be overtime on Saturday. The last 2 illusions were dissolved on Friday. Saras - a workmate whom I am supposed to be training decided to renege on an agreement we had that I would go early on Friday. I was soooo p!ssed off! I couldn't speak to Saras for most of the morning. I

t turned out my overtime was cancelled as the goods had gone to Brisbane so my only chance was to go to Cheeky that afternoon. When I left work a bit after 5 I was swearing heavily - I even used the words Robert Hughes used to describe the prosecutor when he got off his dangerous driving charge. I had left the front light on the fearless gear-less and I was using the light that I use on my helmet on the bike. The weather darkened as did my mood. I had some near misses but I got to Cheeky Monkey safely and on time to pick up the bike. Pushing 2 bikes home is not easy. I had to use the road on a couple of occasions and duck and weave around obstacles such as power poles and street furniture. On Erskinville Rd City Rail has erected some kind of screen to prevent people from throwing rocks at trains and has implemented a whole heap of obstacles I swore heavily as I went around them.

When I got closer to King St I was accosted by a couple of drunken idiots. One guy offered to take one of the bikes off my hands. Given that I was annoyed I told him in no uncertain terms to F@ckoff! He went down the road a bit and then yelled out "There was no need to talk to me like that! Did you hear that? Maybe we ought to tell him to F@CK Off?" I must remember to make a note for myself that I must not swear at drunken idiots in Sydney. I got bikes back and got them stowed safely. I am still not happy about Friday as it isn't fair that I carry the can for an idiot.

The spoke is not the only thing that has gone bung with the fearless gear-less, there is a high likelihood in my opinion that the non drive side crank is on it's way out. I will have a look today but we will wait and see. On Saturday Slowies the front tyre copped a tack - I suspect it has been around for a while but it went into my tyre and stayed there while the tyre slowly died. I pumped it up thinking it had been a case of slow leak caused by perishing. But when I found the tack I knew what had happened. I took the tack out and the tyre began to die. As I didn't have a spare tube I wound up patching the tube on the spot. It is not my favourite tasks and I had to let the others go. I patched the tyre and got myself underway.

When I got out the gates and on my way to Moore park I found the others gathered around one guy who copped a double puncture. We were going to be late for coffee at the cafe and there was a high likelihood that I was going to be late for the Rocks Markets. We went back the usual way with me leading - I found that I am not a good ride leader and I would say that I missed issues such as pedestrians up front and went through intersections where I should have gone through with the group. We got back to Marrickville safely.

I was terrified that the crank would come off and things would get even more sticky than what they were. I survived the ride.

Apologies to all, for having missed the opportunity to post on the anniversary of Jim Morrison

Apologies to all, for having missed the opportunity to post on the anniversary of Jim Morrison's death 9 days ago. I've been battling some evil demons in Wan Chai over the last 6 weeks, and am finally starting to draw some sober breaths today. Now if only I can find that wagon, I fear it has left without me.

Anyway, back to Mr Mojo Rising. Morrison was more than a poet, songwriter and a performer. He was a very fine drunk. Classic line kids if you haven't heard it - What is the difference was between a drunk and an alcoholic, Just grin and reply, “us drunks don’t have to go to meetings.”

I thought things might change between Scott and I but I was wrong. We have no censure anymore. We say fucked up things to eachother without even thinking twice.

Last night we started to mess around but ended up not. He left for work that night saying "we'll play tomorrow, how does that sound?" all sweet and affectionate like.

I went to the Dog Park w/ my gfriend today. I also told him ahead of time I had planned it. She came back to the house and hung out for about an hour and a half, while Scott was mowing the lawn and then worked out. When she left I told him I would put Haley to bed and then did he wanna go in the bedroom and watch tv "hint, hint". He said no he wasn't tired. I put on a pouty face. "I thought we were going to play tonite" I said, being silly. His reply? "I didn't know we were scheduling SEX now."

WoW. I was embarassed and offended and pissed all at the same time. I tried to talk to him about twenty minutes later about it. I said I wasn't trying to schedule sex, I was trying to build on the connection I felt last nite. Instead you embarassed me and made me feel bad and I sure as hell don't feel like having SEX now. He tried to turn it around on me then.

Whatever. We ended up yelling, he said everything always has to escalate and turn into an argument and I said "Thats becuz no one ever wants to give" and he said "right because I guess we're both too hard headed to be together".

Hello? Say what you mean, asshole. We both know this is going nowhere. We are just stuck here and therefore sticking it out. Every once in awhile an ounce of hope seeps in there. But really, we both are desparate to get out, and won't admit it to ourselves, let alone eachother.

Fuck being sober for the good of the relationship. No wonder I'm a drunk, given how and who I live with.

Not content to punch just fans, photographers and unassuming punters, Amy Winehouse has now started hitting her own bodyguards. Convinced the man paid to protect her had pinched her ass "she looked at him all wide-eyed, called him a wanker and then walloped him three times!" It's only a matter of time before her taste for drink and violence gets her in serious, serious trouble. She needs an intervention. Someone call A&E pronto. Could be a new show: Celebrity Intervention with Peter Criss. Hey, that's not a bad idea. I hope they book Winehouse as their first guest.

At least 70 people have been injured during the first day of the running of the bulls in the Spanish city of Pamplona. Thirteen of them have been taken to hospital. The injuries consisted mainly of broken bones, bruises and cuts, but one man was left in critical condition after a 600-kilo bull galloped over him. Nobody was gored by a bull...the first day.

The young man who died after a fall from the 30-meter high wall that encircles the ancient centre of Pamplona has now been identified. He was a 23-year-old Irishman and he is thought to have fallen after having too much to drink. Last year, an American man and his Spanish girlfriend also died after falling from the same wall.

I am now down by the esdge of the Black Sea in Odessa, Its warm yet not too humid. The last few days

I am now down by the esdge of the Black Sea in Odessa, Its warm yet not too humid. The last few days have been a rollercoaster of events. i would share them but that would ruin the story when i get home.

But I thought I would quickly share about my train trip here. Dad and I jumped on glad we were leaving Kloemyja but sad to see it go. We turnup to our seat to find the train drunk already established on it. This now means the smell of alcohol (luckily vodka as very little aroma) and cigarettes for the rest of the trip. We then spend 8 hours travelling slower than my grandma drives to do a massive U and end up about a 90 min drive NW from where we started and we want to head south. Its here that the fourth of our section joins and he a nice young guy but has some massive luggage, a double bass to be exact. He is moving to odessa to study music as he plays orchestral double bass (impressive). We are travelling 3rd class which means sleepers but not big ones and its all open. This means that to fit in without kicking people in the head as the walk past I have to sleep in the foetal position, which is no fun so I make people duck. In the end it all takes 18 hours which is too long to be stuck with a smelly drunk whilst sneezing your lungs out of your body cause your hayfever has lost the plot and Ukraininan medicine doesnt work.

But I'm looking forward to swimming in the Black Sea to feel the salt again.
