Here are some tips for installing DBT-120:
1. Use patched Bluesoleil_3.2, it works very well. However, be careful with the driver (use the driver Bluesoleil provides). Here is the VID: 0A5C, but PID varies: 200A (current one) or 2033.
2. Following Jon's guide, it should work in most cases. This time, a generic Broadcom bluetooth driver will be installed.
3. If the driver is messed up, try to use Dlink official driver to recover. Then uninstall the software, but the driver remains.
4. No time to upgrade firmware, guess it can add Audio service into DBT-120 dev A2 (I guess it uses CSR chipset, so a generic CSR firmware may be helpful, check this out).

ISCC one has VID 1131 and PID 1001.

He was driving along a two-way road, with cars parked along both sides.

This made it difficult for more than one vehicle to pass through from either direction.

Mr Choo had been waiting in line behind a taxi, trying to exit from the road. Both their vehicles were straddling the centre white line.

It was then that a delivery truck turned into the road, coming face to face with the taxi.

Mr Choo claimed that there was sufficient space on the left for the taxi driver to move.

The truck driver stopped his vehicle and waited.

However, the taxi driver, described as a bald man in his 30s, persisted in moving forwards - as if trying to force the truck to reverse. (story)

Okay, just a random update in regards to this dear blog of mine. Thanks to those who have commented/voted/visited etc... We're averaging about 100 hits a day (not including my own hits :p). But, more interestingly, lately there have been a lot of hits registered from people's email inboxes (as you can see from the image below). I don't know what is going on, but I'm getting all these hits from YahooMail, Gmail, AT&T, AOL, Hotmail, Comcast email address inboxes. I'm guessing that it might potentially be the result of an email that's spreading or ads that are appearing randomly - only thing is that I haven't signed up or registered for any advertising publicity :s If anyone could shed light, please do. Oh, and the "Elmo is a Black Man" post seems to have attracted the most hits out of any post on this blog, even surpassing the popularity of my Apple iPhone 3G posts! Yesterday it registered about 150 hits on its own!

Three:

The third thing that I would like to mention here is an issue I have had with my MSN :( You might remember I did a massive MSN into Gmail conversion recently to enable me to use my iChat program for all my chatting needs. I came across a slight glitch a couple of days ago when I noticed that although I had logged out of iChat and shut down the computer, I was still appearing as 'online' to my MSN and Gmail contacts. So expectedly, when I logged back in, I was inundated with a whole heap of chats from people thinking that I was online at the time they initiated conversation. So to the 10-15 people who I "ignored" over the past few days, my sincerest apologies. I wasn't actually online at the time and my MSN client, iChat, lied to all of you. Don't worry, I hear the WYD priests have massive confessional tents set up in Sydney this week - I'll be sure to send iChat there to be cleansed from its transgression. Lame joke, yeah.... forgive me.

Four:

This post was originally going to just be about Three Things, but this fourth thing was inspired by a young red P-plate (provisional) female motorist who stopped behind me at a red light this afternoon. The car was fairly old school, but appeared to be running alright despite its age. The lonesome driver, a girl whose large "bug-eyes" sunglasses covered three quarters of her head, had her iPod earphones fitted snuggly into both ears as she bopped along to what I assumed to be pretty normal music. Look, during the course of my observation she even sang along to what she was listening to. There's no shame in that. We all do it once in a while, especially while alone. I admit, I have even engaged in the occassional out loud conversation with myself. lol

Well, I thought nothing of it.. until..... the girl looked straight up into her rear view mirror and with such conviction and passion gave a bloody good rendition of the Gene Simmons "KISS" tongue manouvre as exhibited above. She wiggled it around and everything. I almost died of laughter. Almost.

Pernah dengar merek hape CDMA Nexian? Atau sudah pernah pakai? Atau malah sekarang lagi bingung cari driver CDS4? Saya hampir yakin kalau sampeyan nyasar sampai kesini karena pertanyaan yang terakhir.

Buat yang belum ngerti, rentetan huruf di atas maksudnya device ini vendor-ID-nya 15EB dan product-ID-nya 0001. Setelah itu saya engga ngerti.

Setelah mencari lewat Mbah Gugel pake keyword VID_15EB&PID_0001, saya nyasar ke web ini. Disana ada file INF supaya CDS4 bisa dikenali. Setelah saya coba instal INF-nya, memang betul, hape ini kedetek. Bisa buat modem dong?

Eits, nanti dulu. Engga taunya, setelah INF di install, muncul dua device baru, INTF0 dan INTF1. Daripada pusing-pusing akhirnya tanya lagi ke simbah dan nyasar ke sini. Kalau mau donlot driver Nexian di situ aja.

Tapi emang saya lagi sial, driver donlotan ini engga mau diinstal di laptop saya yang OS-nya Windows XP SP3 ini...

Anyone out there who loves gadgets and really wants to know about their own driving style should install a GPS vehicle tracking device in to their car or truck. By doing this you will be able to collect data on what you really do when you are driving around.

I was quite amused by some of the stories that made news last week-two in particular.

First, District Attorney Mary Lacy of Boulder, Colorado, sent a two-page letter to John Ramsey about his murdered daughter, JonBenet, stating, "...we do not consider your immediate family including you, your wife, Patsy, and your son, Burke, to be under any suspicion in the commission of this crime."

Was that not a noble gesture? It's been 12 years since JonBenet died, and Patsy expired two years ago due to ovarian cancer at the age of 49.

While attending junior high school and growing up in the same town as she, I viewed a photo in the newspaper of Miss Paugh being crowned supreme at the state's pageant competition; her daughter's face later clichéd that of the hometown girl an entire state was proud of, even if she did wear too much eyeliner.

That family could have been cleared years ago; DNA evidence was found on the girl that didn't match any family member. In a court of law, that would have been reasonable doubt any defense lawyer could have toyed with just for fun.

But since a court of law was never assembled, a court of public opinion (fueled by unscrupulous journalists reporting innuendo close to the case as factual truth) did so while the district attorney's office and police stood idly by. Public officials knew they mishandled the case from hour one and needed a scapegoat.

At least the office finally apologized, and some would quip they are the sorriest.

How treacherous it was to watch the family's demise, but at least the living can take solace in knowing Patsy Paugh Ramsey died with her character fully intact. There are those living in Boulder who can't even claim that.

Now, here's a piece of friendly advice:

If you are using a microphone in a public forum and do not have complete control of the on/off switch, beware, for you never know who is listening.

Having written that, Jesse Jackson should have known better. Not realizing his mic was on, the modern-day quote maker himself whispered vulgar things during a Fox News program about wanting to cut off parts of Barack Obama's manmade anatomy, and according to the media outlet, we have yet to hear the worst.

Maybe the reverend should rephrase his infamous quote accordingly: "Keep hope alive, and bring me a knife!"

In the same breath, he accused the fellow Chicagoan of "talking down to black folks" by giving moral lectures to African Americans. Oh, the irony.

Jackson could easily be paralleled for his remarks and this was a prime instance of practicing what he doth not preach. After all, Jackson ran for president twice during the Democratic presidential primary in 1984 and again in 1988, so instead of demeaning his fellow man, realizing that he may have helped pave the way for the first black American to possibly be the next leader of the United States might fair him better.

Jackson once said, "If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it." If so, the next time he hypocritically dines with the presidential candidate, secret service will be removing all sharp objects from the table as Obama sports a cup holding something other than coffee.

Long Drivers of America has a new Canadian chapter called, of course, Long Drivers of Canada, and they're holding their Canadian Long Drive competition later this month. Canadian bomber Jason Zuback will be there, and Sean "The Beast" Fister. Should be a good watch on television.

It made me start thinking, now that I'm just about finished my Swing Theory research and have incoporated Mike Austin's Pulley-Leverage technique into my Pendulum motion, that I might just give the autumn Long Drive competition a shot. Not the Canadian Long Drive, that's in a couple of weeks and I just ran across the website and dates yesterday, unfortunately, while looking for the Canadian qualifying venues for the regular Remax Long Drive competition later in the fall.

I had thought about entering last year when I was close to the Pulley-Leverage working it out on my own, before I had a chance to study what Mike Austin did, but this year, I've been concentrating so hard on the playing golf swing and not just the Drive bomb that it completely slipped my mind to check the events and dates until yesterday.

It would have been too early for me at any rate, because yesterday was the first time I started to wonder again exactly how far I can hit a golf ball.

My earlier post was about figuring a rock-solid pre-shot routine for the playing golf swing out on the course, and I mentioned hitting a bucket of balls with all my clubs before heading home to think things over.

Well, I started thinking about long-drive again because, while hitting the Driver and 3-metal, I really launched some huge balls.

And I mean long. I hit a few with the Driver that were so long and high, I had trouble following them against the bright sky and just looked along the grass horizon to see how far away they'd land.

I remember Mike Austin describing his 500 yard drive and how, when he hit it, instead of following the usual parabolic curve, the ball just seemed to float higher and higher into the air and just rode the following wind to forever. I hit a couple of balls yesterday that reminded me of what he said, I just stood there watching them sail higher and higher until I could barely see them against the sky. Yes sir, the Pulley-Leverage is a beautiful thing.

Now, I can tell you my drives certainly didn't go 500 yards, but they were mighty long.

I'm toying with going to the nearest long drive qualifier and plunking down my fee and hitting a few balls, with my regular-flex 45" graphite shaft KZG driver. Not to win or make it to the Remax World Championships in Vegas. Just to hit a few balls and have an official measurement of how far I can put them out there. With a regular playing Driver and not a special-made long-drive club.

Now, that would be putting my money where my mouth is.

The autumn qualifying closest to me is mid-September. That would give me two months to play golf, work out the Playing Pendulum, and maybe hit a bucket of Drivers every other day to get out the ol' aggression...

I'm going to think about it...

One can only imagine how Orville and Wilbur felt when the Wright flyer actually got off the ground in 1903, changing the aeronautic face of transportation forever. If they were alive today, amazed they would be.

Commercial aviation was considered a luxury for some time, and then one day, a Pan Am 747 wide-bodied jet came along which could seat 336 passengers. After some non-stop production of the colossal beast, it was affordably possible for anyone to come fly the friendly skies, and for an extra price, a person could relish in comfortable seating and drink wine from glass stemware as a curtain divided the economical masses.

Do you remember the first time you traveled by airplane? Oh, what a breathtaking wonder it was. To photograph miles of cumulus terrain at 36,000 feet, I requested a window seat without wing or engine obstruction, and to this day, I still hold true to form. Plus, a mixed drink from the refreshment cart added to the euphoric take-off and landing experience. Even if not in 1st Class, flying was an absolute joy to behold.

But now, instead of perusing the SkyMall catalog and leisurely popping pretzels into your mouth, you're ridden several miles above the Earth with guilt over having to sell your first-born child in order to afford the trip.

Carriers are scaling back services and cutting routes at mach speed as jet fuel prices climbed almost 100 percent in the past year alone. Some will even start charging a $25 fee next month for redemption of frequent flier miles while each piece of luggage now costs extra to transport, and if you can't afford the extra bag but will be away for several days, enjoy wearing the same clothes.

Adding insult to gas pump injury, if you have to catch a flight in a neighboring state because the local 'international' airport doesn't offer your destination of choice, there goes the second-born child as you fill up your own vehicle in order to get there.

And what's even worse? No more in-flight snacks.

There's no dispute that airline companies have dire financial pressures, and it's safe to say that 9/11 was a contributor in their downward spiral. But what used to be a fun, convenient option for travel has taken a round-trip of its own, again becoming a luxury that many will sadly not be able to afford.

Flying doesn't seem as special anymore, and maybe all carriers should start using one universal slogan of travesty: "We love to fly and it blows."

I've been called nuts, accompanied by a look that seems to say, "There is something wrong with you."

But I'm going to say it again: I enjoy living in Iowa.

I was raised in a place where hills and mountains hid the view of a thunderstorm until it was practically on my doorstep, but in Iowa, I can see billowing clouds from many miles away.

I like taking a drive on a rural road amid a sunny day to see the strategically placed rows of waist-high corn, and yes, I admit-those hanging baskets do the Main Street make.

So when the opportunity arose to pen an article on the State BBQ Championships, I jumped at the chance and gloated to everyone, "Please, let me drink from the river of your envy."

You see, a person attempts to uphold a level of professionalism when reporting the goings-on in the area, especially when it comes to various board or city staff meetings.

But last Saturday, all poise and characteristics related to being a journalist completely went out the proverbial window.

I stood alongside other spectators watching the rib eating contest, laughing like a complete idiot, and no one seemed to care. Although, a few tried enticing me into the women's rib eating segment, to which I replied, "No, NO way...I'm no lady!" I realized afterward that may not have come out quite right.

As I strolled over the grounds taking photographs, I came upon the owner of a caramel corn stand while he was making a fresh batch. After pouring in the oil, corn, and sugar into a giant wok, he vigorously whisked the heated concoction with a large wooden spoon and like magic, it instantly popped into a fluffy heap. He then scooped some into a large cup, handed it to me, and I was suddenly six years old again.

I later sat down at a table with a woman who also was taking a break from everything barbeque, and asked her where she was from. "Cedar Rapids," she said. A solemn look came over both of our faces as she spoke of the devastation in her town from the recent floods, how her neighbor still had fish swimming in his basement, and that she was here visiting a friend.

At that moment, I looked around at a boy feeding part of a pork sandwich to his dog when dad wasn't looking, the band playing old 70's tunes on the mobile band shell, the city officials and representatives who were just regular ol' people for a day, the sweet, lovely woman who spoke of my column at one of the ticket booths, and realized how lucky we all were.

Sure, our town isn't perfect, but it could be a whole lot worse-the State BBQ Championships could be held somewhere else.
