"Good Girl Gone Bad Live" é o nome do último lançamento da cantora Rihanna. O DVD do show, gravado na cidade de Manchester, na Inglaterra,  reúne os maiores hits  dos três álbuns da carreira da cantora de apenas 20 anos.

Músicas como "Umbrella", "Don't Stop The Music", "Shut Up and Drive" e "S.O.S.", que alcançaram o topo das paradas musicais em todo o mundo é claro que não ficam de fora do dvd, que conta ainda com um documentário de 17 minutos onde são mostrados os bastidores  e preparativos para os shows da turnê, em especial o do show gravado com 14 câmeras de alta definição. Além disso, há um vídeo surpresa e 'escondido' que só pode ser conferido no computador.

Dentre as performances que mais marcam o show, destaques para "Don't Stop The Music" que Rihanna inicia no comando da pickup de seu dj, trazendo o público abaixo durante a execução da música, além de "Shut Up and Drive", que mostra a perfeita sincronia da cantora com seus dançarinos.

1. The name of this blog seems to be woefully inaccurate. "Slow ass" might be more accurate.
2. As time goes on, I appear to be running slower, if that is even possible.
3. I LOVE running in the evenings, preferably right around sunset, MUCH more than running in the morning. Morning running person, I am NOT.
4. I LOVE running in the dark. Yes, let me say it again. I LOVE running in the dark, so much so I bought myself a flashlight so I could do it some more, and live to tell about it. :-)
5. I LOVE running near the ocean like Penny does with Velcro because (a) it's so pretty and (b) there is usually a good breeze that goes along with it. The smell of the salt marshes near it at what appears to be a constant low tide, I can do without. (READ: it smells like a porta pottie that's filled to the brim.)
6. It is ok to take two days off after your long run if your body needs it. I did.
7. "Please don't stop the music" by Rihanna can be a very motivating song.
8. Last but not least, I CAN RUN FOR TWO HOURS WITHOUT STOPPING!! That night, I seriously could have kept running forever, at least I felt like it. (The knees made their own comment during mile 10-11, the furthest ever I have ever run. Ever.) Yes, it was slow, 11 minute miles, but I don't care one bit. The route I did for last week's long run took me out of my in-laws' neighborhood, into Hyannis Harbor, out toward Hyannisport (where the Kennedy Compound is located) and back again. The ocean breezes felt so good! I had started out, thinking that sunset was at 9 that night (not sure how I got that into my head, but I did.) It was actually around 8:25ish, I think. The Garmin stopped on me twice with no explanation (the nerve of that thing!), so Bill and I had to drive the route a few days later - and we found it was about 10.9 miles, so oh hell, I'm going to round up to 11!! I was originally planning on just running for an hour and 40 minutes, but then just felt like keeping on going. After the two weeks of crappy runs before it, it was so needed!!

For those of you who would like to see some pictures of the Cape and our travels (it was a low-key vacation, plagued by lots of "unsettled weather days" so a few of the boat tours we wanted to take were cancelled for lack of sign-ups) I'm going to use Bubbleshare as soon as the website comes back up, and put pictures on here for you.

I will start everything anew next sem. The best part of Mdm Ng's house is I WILL BE HAVING A MAID!!..Though strictly speaking, the maid is not mine lah..haha..but at least she will be helping me wash my clothes and probably clean the room. *GRIN* That's all wat I need a maid for. haha..Maybe I will share some of the maid's cost in the future to let her do more work for me..see how=)

Next sem everything is gonna be different. I really hope my new classmates can be as nice as my previous ones, but I still believe people who would choose ACS as 1st choice are kiasu and smart..like Junda ..haha..and I still think minghui will be my classmate next sem again..sigh..

I thought I could take a break after all the work and study, now my new problem comes. Professional Attachment!! I have to bring forward it to Dec holiday coz next year I will be having another and even more difficult exam marathon. I have to start self-sourcing for companies already and get school's permission as well..so troublesome..

Anyway will be going back on 9th July. Hopefully I can have a rest at home because as long as I'm here in Singapore, every day will be a busy day!...

God thanks for guiding me through this dark period!! I will leave everything to you coz I know I can't control anything in my life. I know I shudn't worry for anything coz you have prepared everything for me. Everything happens for a reason and nothing is coincidence. When I got to know Mdm Ng one and half yrs ago at CCK watsons, I didn't expect her to ask me to give tuition to her daughter and nephew. It was my last day working there and she happened to pass by. I tried to promote my product to her and we started chitchatting. We exchanged numbers and she really called me a few mths later. Now we are going to stay together!!...it's so miraculous and I only can attribute it to God. Jesus is awesome, Amen!!

Once again I turned jennifer down and I think I will not be working for the next 1 week or so before I leave. I really need more time for myself and friends. Tmr will be meeting my wife for lunch. We are gonna try the Swensens COOKIE & CREAM MILKSHAKE!!..haha...my ambition is to try ALL cookies & cream ice-cream and milkshake in the world!!..=p Steamboat for dinner with Jackson=)

Today after my tuition n collecting my cheque (happy with the amount i received coz for the past 3 events the $ i get is always increasing..). .I went to POPULAR n flip through some books about travelling in taiwan. I can’t wait to try all the nice food there. I really hope I can reduce my weight to 45kg before i fly to tw so that I can shop for clothes like mad..haha

Tmr gonna to meet WEIJIE!!!..Sat..haha.Jas, Jolin and of course my beloved CHOON YEAN!!!..then Sunday perhaps the poly guys..I have been busy with my studies and exams for the past one year, now finally have some time for myself n friends. But next week the special sem is starting, n after 2 n half weeks dy will be flying back to china..haha..i wonder if anyone will miss me

Now my only worries are my dad, my student..n my future accommodation..
Shall start from my dad..well I would say he’s e man that loves me the most in this world..but sometimes i find him irritating..He suddenly asked me to buy a 5 mega pixel camera, instead of 8 mega pixel….juz because i told him my fren who bought e 8 mega pixel camera always adjusted the image/effect to which is equivalent to 5 mega pixel..HE THOUGHT MY FREN’S CAMERA ITSELF WAS ADJUSTED TO 5 mega pixel..then we had a heated debate regarding this matter…not to my surprise, he complained about my ever-increasing spending AGAIN!!..wat the…ur daughter has been working n studying so hard and I am already trying my best to rely less on u..NOW PEOPLE USE 12 MEGA PIXEL ALREADY U WAN UR DAUGHTER TO USE BACK TO 5 MEGA PIXEL!!!..shit lah..I almost yelled at him tt night..then thanks to my mum, who managed to convince him..in the end he gave in..haha…but now I am a bit worried about my return in July..Thk I have to be careful with my spending already..otherwise the war can break out any time AT HOME….gosh..i can’t imagine that..he’s now a patient who is suffereing from hypertension man..I dun wan to be a murderer or be called an unfilial daughter…sigh..

today timothy’s mother called me…n she din sound very happy when I told her that I will be away from singapore for abt 3-4 weeks coz her dear son’s prelim is in Aug…I hope timothy can play less game and at least do all the homework I give to him while i am away..he still doesn’t understand how important study is…

Last but not least, Mdm Ng hasn’t confirmed with me about the room n rental stuff…I really hope I can stay in her house next sem n she has alrealy agreed to let me stay..but hope there’s no last min change..I hate staying with strangers..

Anyway there’s nothing i can do now..just keep my fingers crossed and hope everything can go smoothly for me. I need to go n take a nap now..super duper tired n sleepy..=(

Many ppl said I am a smart girl, and I always believe in myself as well. However given all the mediocre results I got for certain subjects, I really think those people who can score well for almost everything are the real geniuses. What I possess is only some little intelligence. DY is not born to study, not at all. When I was in poly,I did aim to be the top student. However there was this guy who was just too pro and achieved almost perfect scores for every single semester. Though nobody liked him in the cohort or even in the entire business department, we just can't deny that he is very zai. I did try to analyse situation as in why I couldn't beat him in studies. Despite the project group issue (he had the best group in cohort whereas mine was almost the most shitty one I believe), I was still not determined enough and too soft-hearted sometimes. Because of an ungrateful arrogant "friend", I scored the only C for one subject in the final semester and lost the silver medal. I was supposed to be with a good group in which almost everybody scored an A. This girl, who was my good friend's sec sch clique, approached me and asked to join my group. I just don't understand how people can be so low. She was born in a very rich family and every time she saw me she just ignored me. Well despite that I still accepted her and seperated myself from the group.
In the end she really screwed up everything. I didn't mean to put all the blame to her....the thing is recently I happened to meet her again. She did not even have the least coutesy to say "hello" until I asked her:"u look like u never saw me before. Then she said to my tt good friend:"I remember the face but forget the name." Fine, I don't expect people to remember my name and it's been about 1 yr since we graduated. Then she uttered something which really irritated me (before my exam some more):"why your face so red, so different from the color of ur neck?" I was like....eh...too nervous lor. This would be a small issue if my friend said it and I wouldn't mind it coz my face did turn very reddish sometimes, especially under the sun or exposed to air-con for too long. The way she said it was like totally trying to find some fault in me. I mean a normal person wouldn't say such thing to a person you don't know tt well, especially someone u couldn't even remember the name! Not to mention that her face was irritated and reddish as well...That's not the end of the story....After tt I chitchatted a bit with my good fren and mentioned about I am taking three degrees and still having other exams to cope with. This girl just commented to my fren, in a sibei bitchy way, "eh you need three degrees meh....??" I was super pissed off lah. I wasn't trying to show off or something and of course I have my reasons with regard to that. She herself also went to take another diploma in make-up up when she was studying in poly. HELLO DO YOU NEED 2 DIPLOMAS? ................she really reminds me of all the ungrateful and pragmatic people I met in poly. Sometimes I read their blogs, most of them put "dislikes: hypocrites, backstabbers, liars, selfish people.....blah blah". Isn't is ironic when youself is so selfish and backstab people?

I am not trying to judge people here, because I do have my own flaws as well. I just pity those people with warped minds, seriously. Why can't people just be kind and grateful to one another? Why can't they just be true to themselves and to others? I also dun understand how come people can change bf/gf so often nowadays? For example, my roomie, broke up with one guy and was sad for about 3 days, then attached to another guy after abt 1 to 2 weeks. Nope this is not true love. I am just feeling disgusted by the ugly world, nasty people and the cruel reality we are facing. Nonetheless, I still need to thank those people, because without them I would never realize how blissful I am to have the true friends around.

I am not discriminating against people who couldn't get into university, but seriously I believe there is a reason why certain people can while others cannot. It's not about IQ, but the attitude people have towards life. My NTU classmates are ten times better than my poly ones. Most of them(though not all) would put in effort in projects and help one another in studies. There are gossipings, but little bitching or nasty badmouthing of others. At least I am lucky to be in this tutorial class. I will miss you all next sem=(

Reports have leaked out of France about Throck Morton's arrest late Tuesday night outside a Marseille’s disco. The rumored incident unfolded as the eccentric billionaire rode a bull into the club. Security was unable to stop the tycoon or his steed. Before local police could arrive the bull did damage to the bar and several tables. Mr. Morton did buy two bottles of Cristal champagne which he offered to anyone who was fearless enough to get close enough for him to pour.

When contacted Throck told us, “This is all rumors. It is totally false. I was not at a party with Emmanuelle Chriqui when a farmer came along driving a herd past the condo. I did not offer the farmer money for the bull. I did not buy two bottles of Cristal and ride around serving them to the disco crowd. If I did buy anything it would have been four bottles of Dom Perignon...and did the bartender mention the tip he got? But as I said it didn’t happen. Now I need to go shower because I smell like cow and Emmanuelle owes me some Euros.”

The four King sisters of R&B group, Cherish made us all stand up and take notice in 2006 when their single, “Do It To It” was featured on the ATL movie soundtrack. Sisters Farrah, Neosha, and twins Fallon and Felisha come from a musical background and have all been singing since they were little girls. Their father, who is also their manager, was a member of POP (Professions of Sound) and toured with Earth, Wind, & Fire. Originally signed to Reprise Records in 2003, the group recorded several singles, including “Miss P,” which was produced by Jermaine Dupree, along with a whole album that was eventually shelved for undisclosed reasons. After landing another deal with the Capitol Records imprint, Sho’ Nuff Records, the ladies released their debut album, Unappreciated in August of 2006. The disc was certified gold and reached number 4 on the R&B charts. The young ladies of Cherish are now back with their sophomore release entitled The Truth. The first single, “Killa” features rapper Yung Joc and was produced by Don Vito. Cherish took some time to give us some insight into their new CD, fashion, and their opinion of R&B music today.

Singersroom: Were you all born and raised in Atlanta?

Cherish: Actually, our parents used to live in Chicago. Fallon and I were born here in Atlanta but Farrah and Neosha were born in Chicago. My mom came back to Atlanta in 1987.

Singersroom: Who is the oldest and who is the youngest?

Cherish: Farrah is the oldest and Fallon and I (Felisha), the twins, we’re the youngest and I’m the baby out of all of us.

Singersroom: Do you all pretty much get along with each other?

Cherish: I mean we’re sisters so no we don’t get along [laughs]. We fight and we argue like regular sisters but at the end of the day we still love each other and we wouldn’t want to be in a group with anybody else. We know how not to push each other’s buttons.

Singersroom: How hard is it for you all to incorporate your different ideas and experiences into your music?

Cherish: Everybody had a share in this project and that’s why we wrote the whole album ourselves. Every single song is about a personal experience from one of us. We just took each other’s experiences and put them into different songs and it worked. We all put our heads together and developed it together as a group.

Singersroom: So you guys wrote the entire record?

Cherish: Yes, we wrote every song on the album except for one song that was written by The Dream.

Singersroom: Besides The Dream, who were some of the other producers that you worked with?

Cherish: We worked with a lot of producers [like] Bryan Michael Cox, Eric Hudson, J. New who produced ‘Amnesia’, Don Vito, and Jazze Pha. We definitely had our share of producers [on this album].

Singersroom: I know that you all have quite a musical background and have all been singing since you were little. Tell me why it is that you all love R&B?

Cherish: We were raised on some really good old school music like Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Stylistics, The Delfonics, The Emotions, people like that. Our Dad, he was a really old school man and that’s where we learned how to sing. He taught us harmonies at such a young age like when we were 6, 8, and 10 years old. So the love for music and R&B music has been there since we were little girls. It’s always been a dream of ours, we’ve always loved artists like En Vogue, Sister Sledge, and TLC. We’ve always shared this dream together and we decided to do it together as a team.

Singersroom: What is your opinion of R&B music today; do you think it’s moving in a positive direction?

Cherish: I think it’s so important for artists to write their own music in order to portray how you want your fans to portray you. I definitely think that R&B music is doing great right now especially with Usher back, and he’s doing it big for R&B. And of course, we’re here and you have people like Mario that’s doing it for R&B. R&B is definitely important and sometimes people will try to make other genres of music that are out there a little more known but it’s definitely important for our people to understand the real R&B music, and that’s what we’re going to try to bring back today.

Singersroom: What other types of music do you all listen to?

Cherish: I love rock music, I am a rock music fanatic. I mean from Blink 182 to Snow Patrol, I just love rock music. Of course we all love old school music and we all love Usher, Whitney, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion. We love it all.

Singersroom: What other interests do you ladies have?

We actually are about to get into some movies and do some acting. That’s another love and passion of ours. We’ll be shooting some movie clips this year and basically be everywhere. I mean, our talent is definitely going to go far.

Singersroom: You all seem to have a wonderful sense of fashion, who are some of your favorite designers?

Cherish: Actually there is this stylist name Ellie Mae and she has her own clothing line. She is one of my favorite designers, and she designs all of our clothes. I mean, I’m pretty simple when it comes to clothes. I’ll put on a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, a hat, and I’m good [laughs].

Singersroom: What would you say is your favorite fashion accessory?

Cherish: I gotta have some shades at all times. I love the different frames. I gotta have my Dolce, or my Dior, I need my shades.

Singersroom: Do you all ever attend any of the designer shows?

Cherish: Actually we did a designer show for Vogue, and Vogue actually gave us a bunch of free glasses and we all thought it was just great! We’re actually going to try and go to a couple more. That would actually be amazing for us to be able to attend more of the fashion shows.

Cherish: We were raised on some really good old school music like Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Stylistics, The Delfonics, The Emotions, people like that. Our Dad, he was a really old school man and that’s where we learned how to sing. He taught us harmonies at such a young age like when we were 6, 8, and 10 years old. So the love for music and R&B music has been there since we were little girls. It’s always been a dream of ours, we’ve always loved artists like En Vogue, Sister Sledge, and TLC. We’ve always shared this dream together and we decided to do it together as a team.

Singersroom: What is your opinion of R&B music today; do you think it’s moving in a positive direction?

Cherish: I think it’s so important for artists to write their own music in order to portray how you want your fans to portray you. I definitely think that R&B music is doing great right now especially with Usher back, and he’s doing it big for R&B. And of course, we’re here and you have people like Mario that’s doing it for R&B. R&B is definitely important and sometimes people will try to make other genres of music that are out there a little more known but it’s definitely important for our people to understand the real R&B music, and that’s what we’re going to try to bring back today.

Singersroom: What other types of music do you all listen to?

Cherish: I love rock music, I am a rock music fanatic. I mean from Blink 182 to Snow Patrol, I just love rock music. Of course we all love old school music and we all love Usher, Whitney, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion. We love it all.

Singersroom: What other interests do you ladies have?

We actually are about to get into some movies and do some acting. That’s another love and passion of ours. We’ll be shooting some movie clips this year and basically be everywhere. I mean, our talent is definitely going to go far.

Singersroom: You all seem to have a wonderful sense of fashion, who are some of your favorite designers?

Cherish: Actually there is this stylist name Ellie Mae and she has her own clothing line. She is one of my favorite designers, and she designs all of our clothes. I mean, I’m pretty simple when it comes to clothes. I’ll put on a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, a hat, and I’m good [laughs].

Singersroom: What would you say is your favorite fashion accessory?

Cherish: I gotta have some shades at all times. I love the different frames. I gotta have my Dolce, or my Dior, I need my shades.

Singersroom: Do you all ever attend any of the designer shows?

Cherish: Actually we did a designer show for Vogue, and Vogue actually gave us a bunch of free glasses and we all thought it was just great! We’re actually going to try and go to a couple more. That would actually be amazing for us to be able to attend more of the fashion shows.

This is a message that sent to me by yumei, my bestest fren in S'pore, when I was having emotional turmoil in April. I still kept the message coz it really touched me. Recently my mindset has changed tremendously somehow. I decided to abort the way that I used to live and turn over a new leaf. People around me should know how arrogant and egoistic I was. I did so many stupid things and hurt people who loved me. I don't have the right to hate or look down on anyone. I am an unforgivable sinner, but Jesus died for me. If someone died just to redeem your sin, what more can you ask for?

I used to live in hatred and harbored huge resentment towards my secondary school classmates, my ex and whoever i felt that had treated me unfairly. I am just like every other ordinary person living on this planet, indulging in self-pity but ignoring other people's feelings.

Life is so fragile and so short. I didn't even know that the SiChuan quake was so disastrous until recently when Choon Yean talked to me over the phone. I felt so ashamed when I heard so many heart-wrenching stories from her coz she's Malaysian. I went online and happened to read about the story that a mother used her body to protect her child and left an sms to the child: "Baby, if you are still alive, please remember that I love you........." I believe everyone who read about it would be as touched as me. Every time when I thought about it tears would fill my eyes. I start to miss my mom, who has always supported me no matter what.

Oh my friends (ESPECIALLY YOU QIYUN), if you happen to read this post, I just wanna tell you this: Do you know how blessed we are? We have parents that are still alive; we have food, clothing and shelter; we have so many friends around us and we have the opportunity to study. We really shouldn't complain about anything because we are having too good life already. Just embrace everything in life and be gracious and kind to everyone, so that the minute before you leave the world, you are able to tell youself that I enjoyed every single moment of my life and I have no regret!

We really shouldn't worry about things that are beyond our control because God will take care of them and they are all under His control! Amen!

I tried to ask my parents to adopt a child who lost his parents in the SiChuan earthquake, but both of them refused. This is our conversation:

Me:" 你们去领养一个小孩啦！"

Mom & Dad:" 不可能"

Me:" 你们两个这辈子没做过什么好事，应该做一点了吧."

Mom:" 我们做得最好的事就是把你养大."

Me:"eh...把我养大是你们做的最坏的事ok?"

Then we all burst out laughing. haha..Funny right? Seriously I think if not for God, I would be a very bad girl. Since I was a little girl I had been a little demon in my family. I stole my dad's $ (oops), bullied my cousins and nearly killed one, rode my aunt's motorbike and crashed into someone who was cycling, "accidentally" involved in a gang fight and almost got expelled by school, refused to talk to my mom for one and half years, supported my dad when he wanted to divorce my mom and therefore got scolded by the lawyer....etc. Not to mention all the little pranks that I did to my classmates and friends. I think this constitute one reason why I don't want to have children. If I were to have a child like me, I would rather die..haha

2008 is the most suay year of my life. I am having three rounds of exams recently but before every single round something annoying would happen and badly affected my mood. Like now, I totally have no mood to study because of the hall matter. I hate waking up early in the morning and squeeze on the buses. I had to sms almost every one I know that can help me, including my poly lecturer and not-so-close friends. Really hope at least one of them can help. Have to pray hard.

I hope the next half year my life can go more smoothly than now.  I really want to get into Actuarial Science and complete my ACCA by next year. Before that of course I will go taiwan and shop like mad.haha..

3. only until 10 days before exam did I notice that i wasn't entered for one of the papers. made numerous phone calls and finally got everything settled..but by the time do you think i still have the bloody mood to study?!

4. e worst, when u r super confident that you could get to stay in hall, the stupid NTU SAO just wants to make life difficult for everyone. How can the cut-off point shoot up from 12-15 in a yr's time??..hyperflation izit??

5. tried to contact some of my poly frens who just graduated this year, none of them managed to help yet, though some are trying. Maybe I am too gan jiong..but i hate waiting..I really really hope some of them can help..otherwise think i hav to call my poly lecturer alrdy..

I have experienced countless obstacles in my life, but every time things would turn out to be fine. Ever since I came to S'pore, I had to solve all the problems myself. Though I arrogantly thought I was very capable, there were so many miracles that happened and i only could attribute all these to God. Almightly father, really thanks for guiding me through my life. So many ups and downs, twists and turns, you were always by my side and filled me with love and support. There is nothing that I shall be afraid of any more because I know you are watching over me and taking care of me all the while!

Although this year I have been sibei suay, I will not give up. The most shitty thing that can happen is over already.  I will live every single second of my life to the fullest! =)

Today's revision is quite ok, though I am already behind my schedule by one day. Just now printed out my ACCA past year papers. I almost fainted when I saw the 10-page answers of each paper. I have 3 paper to take this time and for one of them I haven't even started reading. Hopefully this time my little intelligence can help me pull through again..I have been relying heavily on my brains and used up most of my brain cells I guess.

Today I cleared some thoughts. I think I shall not waste ppl's time. I should just stick to my previous decision of not getting attached or married. My next year's exams are so scary and I can't bear to let anything or anyone to influence my mood anymore! Maybe I've met the right person at the wrong time again, butI won't let anything happen to interrupt my plan. I will still remain single and accompany my parents till the day they leave me. I would rather be a filial daughter, than being a good wife or mother. lIfe is full of uncertainties and challenges, I just want my peace and simple happiness, with the ones who love me the most.

I think I have made the right decision...............but.....................................

I came back to hall straightaway after fm paper. I think I have made my decision, though I am feeling so awkward now. I will refrain myself from going online during the 3-mth holiday, just to avoid someone. I have to sort certain things out with someone, but I don't know how. The feeling is suffocating and even until now, I still believe that feeling. I am not happy. Dy is the most depressed child today. For the past one week, I have tried all sorts of ways to make myself happy. But if even cookies & cream ice-cream failed to cheer me up, I know something is wrong. Your message was so clear, yet so vague now. I set an expiry date for almost everything, and today is the last day for you. So it's over, we have gone back to the origin. Maybe it's a good thing and I will still keep my faith.
