El Real Zaragoza ofreció ayer por la mañana al Real Madrid la posibilidad de comenzar unas negociaciones para que Diego Milito cambie La Romareda por el Santiago Bernabéu. Es de dominio público que Schuster quiere un sustituto de garantías para Ruud Van Nistelrooy y que de momento la única alternativa es Huntelaar. Sin embargo, el Ajax pide un precio bastante alto por su jugador. La cantidad que podría separar a Milito del Madrid es muy inferior a los 35 millones que piden los holandeses por su delantero.

De momento, el Real Madrid no ha realizado ningún acercamiento por Diego Milito, a pesar de que se le ha puesto a tiro. Hace unos meses el argentino ya sonó para reforzar al conjunto blanco, pero las negociaciones, si es que las hubo, no llegaron a buen puerto. Ahora, el descenso a Segunda División del equipo maño ha abierto las puertas a casi la totalidad de jugadores con fichas altas, por lo que tanto Milito como Oliveira, Ayala, César, Zapater, Aimar o Matuzalem han salido al mercado. El Ebro anda revuelto, es la hora de la pesca.

There were two major triumphs for Argentine players in the weekend just gone. Carlos Tevez, already a champion in Argentina and Brazil, has added England to his list as Manchester United beat Chelsea to the Premier League title on the last day, whilst Sergio Agüero and Maxi Rodríguez's Atlético de Madrid confirmed a European Cup place for next season.

None of the late or vitally important goals Tevez has specialised in for United this season were required of him on Sunday, as the Manchester side eased past Wigan Athletic 2-0 away from home, Cristiano Ronaldo (from the spot) and Ryan Giggs (on his record-equalling 758th appearance for the club) scoring the goals, whilst Chelsea - who had they won would have required a twenty-goal swing in their favour to boot - conceded a last-minute equaliser to Bolton at Stamford Bridge. Tevez and co. now face the runners-up a week on Wednesday in the European Cup final.

There was sadder news for the Premier League's other Argentine representatives. Birmingham City's hopes of signing Mauro Zárate permanently must surely now be doomed following their relegation in spite of their 4-1 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers; Emanuel Villa's Derby County had a final humilation as they were beaten 4-0 at home by Reading, who were also relegated after Fulham's win at Portsmouth. Julio Arca - whose Middlesbrough side thrashed Manchester City 8-1 - and Javier Mascherano, who played in Liverpool's 2-0 away win over Tottenham, at least ended their seasons on happier notes.

In Spain, Agüero and Maxi, along with Leo Franco, confirmed their participation in next season's Champions League qualifying round as their Atléti side beat Deportivo de La Coruña 1-0 with a goal from Diego Forlán, the Uruguayan striker formerly of Independiente. Andrés D'Alessandro's former team-mates at Real Zaragoza, meanwhile - including Diego Milito, Juan Pablo Aimar and Roberto Ayala - are in the final relegation spot with one match remaining, but have survival in their own hands. That's thanks to the fact that two of the other relegation battlers, Recreativo de Huelva and Real Valladolid, are playing each other on the last day and thus can't both finish ahead of Zaragoza if the latter can win away against Jonas Gutiérrez's Real Mallorca next weekend.

In Serie A, there was a high-profile cock-up as Argentina A / Internazionale failed, for the second straight week, to effectively wrap up another Italian title,  as they could only draw 2-2 with Udinese in the San Siro. With 77 minutes played, Inter were awarded a penalty which Marco Materazzi insisted on taking ahead of Julio Cruz. The Italian defender's kick was saved, and Inter and their 1,453 Argentines now lead Roma by only a point going into the final match.

Atlético de Madrid, con Sergio Agüero, Leonardo Franco y Maximiliano Rodríguez, seclasificó este domingo a la Liga de Campeones de Europa luego de 12 años, al superar en el Vicente Calderón a Deportivo La Coruña por 1-0.

El uruguayo Diego Forlán anotó el único gol del equipo que dirige el mexicano Javier Aguirre, mientras que Fabricio Coloccini actuó en el conjunto gallego.

Zaragoza, con Roberto Ayala, Pablo Aimar y Diego Milito, rescató un punto ante el campeón Real Madrid (empató 2-2) en la Romareda y es hasta el momento el equipo que acompaña a Murcia y Levante a la segunda división.

Oliveira y Sergio marcaron para el equipo “maño”, mientras que Ruud Van Nistelrooy y Robinho (aprovechó la asistencia de Gonzalo Higuaín) lo hicieron para Real Madrid.

Barcelona, con Lionel Messi, acentuó su crisis futbolística al perder con Mallorca por 3-2, en la despedida de Frank Rijkaard del Camp Nou, pese a estar 2-0.

El conjunto “azulgrana” ganaba con tantos del francés Thierry Henry y el camerunés Samuel Eto’o ya a los 11 minutos del segundo tiempo, pero Mallorca lo dio vuelta a través de Valero, Pierre Webo y Dani Güiza, pretendido por el Barcelona.

Sevilla, con un gol de Federico Fazio, ex Ferro Carril Oeste, le ganó 2-0 el clásico a Betis como visitante y se aseguró un puesto en la Copa UEFA.

Lionel Messi (pictured above playing for Barcelona against Levante back in September) won the inaugural award with a collosal 50% of the votes, but since then HEGS's readership has increased massively and Leo has spent a fair bit of the season just gone on the sidelines. Nonetheless he's still been far and away Barcelona's best performer, and although his side were eliminated by Manchester United in the semi final of the UEFA Champions League, most impartial observers agreed that he'd given the lie to claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is the world's best player at present.

Perhaps another Argentine attacker who featured in those two semi final matches has impressed you more, though. Carlos Tevez stepped up from West Ham to Old Trafford with some critics suggesting he couldn't play alongside Wayne Rooney, and has not only starred next to the Englishman, but proven a more than able replacement, scoring some vital goals in the run-in for United. Liverpool and Javier Mascherano's elimination by Chelsea means that if he plays (and he surely will), Tevez will be the only Argentine representative in this season's Champions League final in Moscow. Carlitos finished second in last year's poll, and who's to say he doesn't deserve to go on further this season?

Javier Zanetti, who finished third in the 2007 poll, has captained Inter to a second straight on-the-pitch Scudetto, and this year they've done it with Juventus in the same division. British readers who've experienced the dubious pleasures of Channel Five's Serie A coverage this season might be more inclined, now they've seen a bit of their play, to vote for Zanetti or any of his 573 compatriots at Inter (Cambiasso, Cruz, Samuel, Crespo, and so on and so forth). Alternatively, perhaps you've been impressed by Ezequiel Lavezzi, who in one match managed to score as many hat-tricks as Diego Maradona did in an entire career with Napoli.

Elsewhere there have been vital contributions to Real Madrid's latest title win from Gonzalo Higuaín, who's gone from vilification this time last year to hero as scorer of the late winner on Sunday against Osasuna that bagged the merengues the title. 'Pipita is already part of Real Madrid history,' declared Marca, who at the start of the season compared Wesley Sneijder favourably to Alfredo Di Stéfano. 'He always pops up at the most vital moments.' He was useless when I saw Madrid back in October, but he's clearly improved a bit since then.

In Portugal, Lucho González and Lisandro López have once again been key players in Porto's latest title win, with Lisandro finishing top of the scorers charts and Lucho, who was linked with Valencia in January, now talked about as a possible replacement for Deco in Barcelona's expected Big Summer Clearout. Fernando Cavenaghi, back in from the footballing cold of Spartak Moscow at last, moved to western Europe and has scored so many goals that his side, Bordeaux, are still in with a shot of toppling Lyon from the Ligue Un summit - they're two points back with two matches remaining. He's currently joint-third in the goalscoring charts, with 14.

Greece (Olympiakos's title winners), Mexico (Vuoso, Delgado et al) and even Brazil - where Lionel Messi's cousin Maxi Biancucchi scored the winner in the legendary Fla-Flu earlier way back in August last year (last season in Brazil, true, but since the 2007 award was handed out) - have all also witnessed Argentine heroics in their domestic leagues, whilst MLS is now home to a number of ex-pats, including Marcelo Gallardo and Guillermo Barros Schelotto. Or maybe you just think Martín Demichelis's contribution to Bayern's latest German title win has been unfairly overlooked by everyone. Or (as did enough people to put him into last year's top five) that Julio Arca should be playing in at least one of his many capacities for the selección on the strength of his displays for Middlesbrough.

Lo que le está sucediendo al Real Zaragoza esta temporada es de película. Tras la gran campaña que realizaron el año anterior, en la que se quedaron a las puertas de la Champions y cuajaron un excelente juego, la ciudad maña se mostraba ilusionada con el "nuevo proyecto". Pero, tras la venta de Gabi Milito y la llegada de algunos jugadores de menor calibre, exceptuando a Oliveira, se demostró que tal proyecto no existía en el club blanquiazul.

La Liga arrancaba y empezaban los problemas. Las lesiones se amontonaban y apartaban del equipo a jugadores de la talla de Pablo Aimar, Carlos Diogo o Matuzalem. Aun así, el tándem Milito-Oliveira comenzaba a hacer goles, y eso era lo único que mantenía al conjunto maño en una posición más o menos cómoda. Pero la temporada avanzaba y el Zaragoza no parecía aspirar a nada más que la salvación en la presente campaña, sobre todo, tras la dolorosa eliminación en la Copa de la UEFA, ante el Aris de Salónica de Javito, Koke y compañía.

Es ahí cuando se avivaron los nervios y la desilusión se adueñó de la ciudad aragonesa. Victor Fernández no convencía y ya se empezaba a pedir su cabeza. Los resultados no llegaban y el técnico zaragozano parecía más preocupado por sus contínuas peleas con Andrés D'Alessandro que por llevar al conjunto a buen puerto. La plantilla estaba triste, decaída y nadie parecía dar la cara. Con Aimar y Matuzalem en la enfermería, y los Gabi, Zapater y Luccin inmersos en la mala racha, el cuadro de La Romareda necesitaba un líder, un jugador de carácter fuerte, que tuviera lo que hay que tener para echarse el equipo a las espaldas.

Pero no, el orgullo de la dirección técnica y la directiva estaba por encima de las necesidades del club, e incluso por encima de los deseos de los que les pagan: los socios, la afición. Llegada la hora de poder hacer cambios, los de arriba se dedicaron a traspasar jugadores en vez de reforzar el plantel. Después llegaron el fugaz Garitano y Javier Irureta, y ninguno de los dos supo reconducir al equipo. Todo lo contrario, fueron cosechando derrota tras derrota que, unidas al último toque de fatalidad impuesto por el último técnico, Manolo Villanova, terminaron por hundir al club en la parte baja de la tabla.

Y con estas estamos. Tras el empate de ayer en Montjuic, los aragoneses volvieron a caer a los puestos de descensos, y se juegan "la vida" en las últimas cuatro jornadas. Varios partidos cruciales les esperan, empezando por el del próximo sábado ante el Depor, con una Romareda que probablemente se llenará (gran afición la de este equipo, ayer lo volvió a demostrar) y siguiendo por la auténtica final que tendrán que disputar ante el Real Madrid.

Después, cuando ya haya acabado la Liga, podremos comenzar a evaluar los protagonistas. A los que pensaron que un nuevo proyecto no hacía falta y le pegaron un par de retoques a la plantilla que el año pasado había llevado al equipo al quinto puesto, creyendo que eso sería suficiente. A los que llegaron con el cartel de salvadores y se fueron con el de perdedores. A los que, jornada tras jornada, repasan la lista y buscan en ella un jugador de carácter, con hambre y entrega, con la personalidad suficiente para manejar al equipo y tirar del carro. O lo que es lo mismo: un líder.

Zapater, Milito, Aimar,... Ninguno de ellos.

El líder que necesitaban ya no está aquí. Está en Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Nota post-artículo: me parece lamentable la forma con la que algunos medios describieron el partido del Zaragoza ante el Espanyol de la tarde de ayer, diciendo que el penalti transformado por Ricardo Oliveira, que supuso el empate para los de Villanova a pocos minutos del final, fue inexistente. Pues sí, fue inexistente, pero si Iturralde no se hubiera inventado ese penalti, el gol que Óscar estaba anotando cuando el de negro "alucinaba" hubiera subido al marcador.

La Romareda  

After watching their rivals beat Espanyol 2-1, Atletico Madrid saw this as the perfect chance to go 5 points ahead of them and also see them catch up and over-take Villarreal to take that 3^rd position. 

You wouldn’t have thought Real Zaragoza were sitting just outside the relegation zone in 17^th position with the way they played against Atletico Madrid tonight. 

To the sound of the African drums in the crowd constantly banging away the referee blew his whistle for the game to begin.  

Real Zaragoza certainly started off as the stronger side with having a lot of possession and closing down Atletico very well. 

It only took 4 minutes until Christian Abbiati was called into action. A ball from the left wing flew in the box which saw Abbiati come out of his goal to punch the ball, only for him to punch thin air and miss it, the ball then fell to another Zaragoza player who crossed the ball again only for a 3^rd Zaragoza player in on the action to header the ball straight at Abbiati, which was a very weak header.

 Atletico couldn’t really get very far when they had possession of the ball as the Zaragoza players were closing them down very well. It took until the 16^th minute when Kun Aguero managed to break away from the Zaragoza defence for him to produce a very good cross which went straight to Diego Forlan, who used his head to aim at goal but hit his shoulder instead. This still managed to bring out a brilliant save out of Cesar Sanchez. 

On the 25^th minute saw the first goal of the game. Maxi Rodriguez and Kun Aguero linked up well and exchanged a few passes together only for this to stop due to Aguero being fouled, the referee played a good advantage and carried on as Maxi still had the ball, he then passed to Simao who managed to find a space to kick the ball into the back of the net leaving Cesar with no chance. 

The next goal came 8 minutes later when Atletico Madrid conceded a free kick on the edge of the box, this was the only decision of the day by the referee which was wrong as there was nothing much in it foul. Just a little tug of the arm on Sergio Garcia saw the referee blow his whistle. The ball was hit hard and low into the box causing defenders to panic and then Pablo miss-kicked the ball into his own net. This wasn’t the first time tonight he miss-kicked the ball, this happened earlier on in the game when he went to kick the ball away but instead fell over the ball and kick it with the wrong foot causing it to go out for a throwing. He certainly was having a poor game. 

The next chance came moments after when Sergio Garcia, who was having an excellent game, go to kick the ball into the goal only for Juan Valera to block the ball and managed to clear it from the penalty area. 

Coming up to half time and the last chance of the game saw Diego Forlan go on a fantastic run. He used his strength and skill to produce a curling shot, only for it to not have enough curl on it and went wide. 

Half TimeReal Zaragoza had been the better side and having the most possession too. A 1-1 half time score line was probably the correct score. 

2^nd Half

The drums continued to bang again for the start of the 2^nd half and the fans all took their seats hoping for it to be as exciting as the first half and they got that.  

4 minutes into the 2^nd half saw the first chance for Atletico Madrid. Diego Forlan skipped inside the box to produce a good shot only for it to go directly at Cesar in the middle of the goal. 

The next chance came soon after, this time to the delight of the Zaragoza fans that it was for their team. Peter Luccin took a wild shot at goal from a long distance out, only for it to go past everyone and only just went wide.  

On the hour mark Atletico started to make a few mistakes here and there and passes were too short or a pass would go out of play. They couldn’t put any passes together without being closed down well by the Zaragoza team, this was something which they had managed to do well all night.

This then saw the central midfield player, Oscar, have a brilliant chance to score. Zaragoza won the ball off an Atletico Madrid player, then many of the Zaragoza players were involved in the build up with quick and low passes going from one side to another side of the pitch. A Zaragoza player then crossed the ball which was a perfect cross and reached Oscar only for him to head the ball into the ground and it went out for a goal kick. 

Again, another mistake caused Zaragoza to have a brilliant chance, this time this chance was the winning goal of the game.

It started off with Atletico Madrid losing possession with a weak pass being intercepted by a Real Zaragoza player. Who then passed to Sergio Garcia who went on a good run into the box, turning inside and out tricking the Ateltico players. This caused Siamo to concede a penalty by bringing down Sergio Garcia and the referee pointing to the spot straight away.

Diego Milito stepped up and placed the ball to the right of the goalkeeper and saw Diego Milito claim his 15^th goal in La Liga this season. 

 2-1 Real Zaragoza, who deserved to be ahead.

On the 83^rd minute Atletico Madrid nearly got themselves back into the game. Diego Forlan managed to capitalise on Diogo’s poor pass and Forlan ran through into the box, his first touch was brilliant and he managed to find place to shot, he went for power over place and it was hit straight at Cesar. 

Then 3 minutes later Atletico Madrid nearly scored again. This time Kun Aguero broke through the defence, which then he took it around Cesar Sanchez and produced a low, dangerous pass into the box, only for Diego Forlan to be reaching for the ball and Luccin sliding in and getting the ball away. 

The last chance was an Atletico chance again, this time for Reyes. Atletico Madrid managed to put together a few good passes and a cross into the box which was cleared by Diogo, only for it to fall to Jose Antonio Reyes who produced a beautiful volley which just went wide, he is still waiting to score a goal in La Liga for Atletico Madrid.

 The referee blew his whistle to much delight of the Zaragoza fans. It was an excellent game and much needed 3 points for Real Zaragoza which saw them go from 17^th to 12^th in La Liga.

 I feel the crowd played a part in the win tonight for Zaragoza as all night they were very noisy and La Romareda had a wonderful atmosphere to it. I also feel the referee had a brilliant game too, it was only that decisive decision to award the free kick on the edge of the box which was the bad thing to his game. He let the game flow and played advantage at the right times and when he could, very good refereeing.  

Atletico Madrid hope Barcelona can do them a favour tomorrow and beat 3^rd place Villarreal so the gap doesn’t get any bigger.

Por segunda semana consecutiva (y espero que última), no he podido ver el partido, así que no puedo escribir nada acerca de cómo jugó el Barça, ni mi opinión sobre la alineación, tácticas, etc, etc. Sí que he visto, por supuesto, la polémica de los dos goles del Barça. Respecto al gol de Henry, hay tomas que parecen mano y tomas que no. Por ejemplo, la foto que ilustra este artículo parece indicar que la jugada es legal. La jugada es muy complicada.

En cuanto al penalti, ahí la cosa está más clara. Vistas las oportunas repeticiones queda claro que no existe la mano (ni por tanto, penalti) de Juanfran. No obstante, me gustaría indicar que hace falta ser bastante tonto para saltar con el brazo estirado como saltó el defensa zaragocista. Además, la tecnología pone a nuestra disposición repeticiones de la jugada desde prácticamente los 360 grados de circunferencia alrededor de una jugada, pero nos olvidamos que el linier solo dispone de un ángulo. En las repeticiones que he visto desde el mismo ángulo que el asistente, a mí también me pareció penalti al principio.

Sin embargo, haría mal el Zaragoza en cargar todas las tintas contra el colegiado, ya que no tuvo culpa ninguna en estar mal asistido por sus linieres. Tampoco fue González Vázquez el que lanzó un penalti a las nubes, sino Diego Milito.

Fuera como fuese, tampoco le hago ascos a llevarme de vez en cuando un partido "guarro" como el de La Romareda. A la espera de tiempos mejores para el juego blaugrana y de la recuperación de todos los efectivos, aquí lo importante es sumar de cualquier manera. Estamos a solo dos puntos de depender de nosotros mismos para la Liga, en semifinales de Copa del Rey, y el miércoles se reanuda la Champions ante un rival, en principio, asequible.

Seguimos vivos. Seguimos remando.

En el año 2003 fue transferido al Génova del Calcio italiano. A diferencia de muchos de sus compatriotas que ya triunfaban en el viejo continente, para él todo fue más duro. Su equipo jugaba en la segunda división, y a pesar de que en las dos primeras temporadas llegó a anotar 12 y 21 goles respectivamente, no fue suficiente y los 'Grifoni' se fueron al infierno: la Serie C. Para fortuna de Diego, tras frustrarse la contratación del 'Piojo' López, el Zaragoza mostró interés en ficharlo. Encantado por la oportunidad, insistió a la dirigencia del Génova y cumplió su sueño: Primera División española.

Desde el día que llegó, Milito no ha dado más que alegrías en La Romareda. En sus tres temporadas, ha anotado 15, 23 y 14 goles respectivamente (actualmente es el Pichichi de la Liga junto al sevillista Luis Fabiano). 'El Príncipe' ya ha hecho historia en el Real Zaragoza, siendo ya el segundo máximo goleador histórico y manteniendo el récord de goles en un encuentro. En cuanto a este último, nunca me voy a olvidar de ese día, cuando humillaron al Real Madrid ganándoles 6-1, con 4 goles del argentino y 2 de Ewerton.

Es un delantero completo. Tiene talla (1,83 m) y además de ser rápido tiene una condición física envidiable. Inteligente como él solo y decisivo cuando más lo necesitan. Con un porcentaje de acierto de cara a la portería de 25%, sus números hablan solos. Siendo hermano de otro crack, Gabriel Milito del Barcelona, podríamos decir que el talento lo lleva en la sangre. Ambos son parte de la selección argentina, donde Diego ya ha participado en 15 ocaciones y ha marcado cuatro goles. 

El Real Zaragoza actualmente se encuentra décimo en la tabla de posiciones con 29 puntos. No están pasando por un buen momento, y para rematar tienen a uno de los pilares del equipo, Pablo Aimar, lesionado. Su objetivo es difícil: alcanzar puestos de UEFA. Sin embargo, estoy seguro que tienen equipo para lograrlo, y con Milito al frente, el camino será más fácil.

Diego Milito got yet another goal - his fourteenth of the season - for Real Zaragoza, who drew 2-2 away to Racing de Santander.

Meanwhile according to the Daily Mirror in Britain, Liverpool manager Rafael Benítez is about to make a move in the transfer market for his former Valencia playmaker, Pablo Aimar. The former River Plate man is currently recovering from surgery, but on his return to Europe, according to the Mirror, will be making the move to Merseyside for a fee of €13 million.

Lionel Scaloni, though, has most definitely moved clubs, arriving at Real Mallorca on Saturday on an 18-month loan from Italian side Lazio. Having previously spent decent stretches at Deportivo de La Coruña and Racing de Santander, Scaloni knows La Liga well, and explained that although Lazio didn't want to let him leave, 'Mallorca made more of an effort to try to push the deal than Lazio did to call it off.' The ex-Newell's and Estudiantes defender joins Germán Lux, Jonás Gutiérrez, Ariel Ibagaza, Guillermo Pereyra and Oscar Trejo at the island club, so he won't be short of countrymen, at least.

And finally, the superclásico wasn't the only match taking place on Saturday. Elsewhere, Argentinos beat Tigre 2-1 in a 35-minutes-each-way match, Gabriel Hauche scoring one and Diego Fontanello putting through his own net for the other. Sebastián Ereros scored Tigre's consolation. There was some revenge for Diego Cagna's boys, though, as the reserves lined up for a match-up right after, and Tigre won 4-1. Newell's and Banfield, meanwhile, played out a very dull half-match indeed, drawing 0-0 over 45 minutes. The only shot on goal, more or less, was an effort from Newell's Nicolás Spolli which hit the bar.

Hoy ha sido un día especial para Dani Aquino. En torno al minuto 75 de partido, y con 2-0 en el marcador, Lucas Alcaraz le daba la oportunidad de debutar en Primera División con tan sólo 17 años. Sin embargo, resulta frustrante que este hecho sea lo más destacable para un Murcia que llegó a La Romareda con la intención de pescar en aguas revueltas y que vuelve a la capital del Segura con tres goles en el saco de Notario.

Los pitos que la afición maña dedicaba a su equipo desde el minuto cero no ayudaban a que los de Garitano, que debutaba en Liga, pudieran acomplejar al Real Murcia, que dirigido por un buen medio del campo dominaba el juego. Aunque no había ocasiones claras de gol, la fortaleza grana sobre el césped agobiaba al Zaragoza, y el público no tardó en mostrar su enfado por la trayectoria en los últimos partidos y por su situación liguera, empatado a puntos precisamente con su rival, a dos del descenso.

Tan sólo Baiano llevó algo de peligro a la portería de César, muy desacertado durante los noventa minutos, que pudo marcar en torno al minuto 20 pero mandó la pelota desviada. Los mayores sustos que daría el Murcia a su rival serían a balón parado, sobre todo en los saques de esquina, en los que el portero blanquiazul se mostró muy inseguro.

Pero no serían los granas los que se adelantarían en el marcador. Una contra del Zaragoza propiciaba un tremendo error de De Coz al despejar, pasándole el balón entre las piernas, y dando la oportunidad a Ricardo Oliveira para hacer el 1-0 y golpear seriamente a un Murcia que hasta el momento se había mostrado mejor equipo.

El lateral derecho grana, espoleado por su fallo, quiso enmendar su error minutos después llegando a la línea de fondo colgando un balón al segundo palo que no encontraría rematador entre los delanteros del Murcia. Ni Baiano ni Goitom estuvieron acertados.

Tras el desanso el partido siguió con la tónica descendiente de juego en el Murcia, lo que dotó al Zaragoza de más seguridad en sus movimientos. La confianza que iban ganando los maños se vio reflejada pocos minutos después con un gol de Diego Milito. "El Príncipe" subía el 2-0 al marcador y mataba al equipo pimentonero. Ni siquiera la entrada de Rosinei dio frescura arriba a los de Alcaraz, que poco después asistían impávidos al tercer tanto, de nuevo anotado por el argentino Milito.

Con el partido resuelto y con el Murcia en descenso por primera vez en muchas jornadas, Iván Alonso maquillaría el resultado con un golito en el último suspiro de un partido que agonizaba. Los pimentoneros se quedan terceros por la cola con 22 puntos a la espera de la visita del Levante, que se espera sea el bálsamo que permita que los tres puntos se queden en Nueva Condomina.

In Italy, Esteban Cambiasso scored the second as Internazionale won yet again, 3-2, away to Siena.
