The creator of the hit tv series "Desperate Housewives" says the show will end after two more seasons. The show starring Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria begins its fifth season this fall.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The women of Wisteria Lane may have only a few more years to resolve their assorted problems.

"Desperate Housewives" creator and executive producer Marc Cherry told a meeting of the Television Critics Association on Thursday that he plans to end the ABC series after seven seasons.

The domestic comedy-drama starring Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria begins its fifth season this fall.

"I love working with these gals, but the idea of letting anyone else take the show from me kind of makes me sad and sick to my stomach," Cherry said. "We're going to get out while people still like us."

"Of course," he added, "this could be some clever ruse on my part to get tremendous amounts of money in season eight, but who knows."

Cherry, who took part in a "Desperate" panel discussion, also joined a Q&A session with other top ABC producers.

One topic of conversation was the refusal by "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl to submit her name for Emmy consideration.

Heigl, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the ABC medical drama, claimed last season's scripts were sub-par. Two of Heigl's co-stars, Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson, made the Emmy cut when nominations were announced Thursday.

Shonda Rhimes, who produces both "Grey's" and "Private Practice," told the TV critics' meeting that she was surprised by Heigl's comment.

"I actually have a really wonderful working relationship with Katherine and I love and respect her as an actress," Rhimes said. "And, as everyone knows, Izzie is one of my favorite characters, so for me, it was surprising.

"But Katherine is an outspoken person and I think we all know that already," Rhimes said.

Asked about coping with candid actors, Rhimes said "the story that's out in the press is generally one side of the story. ... Sometimes that's not everything that's going on and that's not everything that's underneath something."

A reporter then asked: "What don't we know about the Heigl thing that we've misreported or not understood?"

"She was drunk," Marc Cherry chimed in with a laugh.

Cherry also joked about having to share the stage with "Lost" producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who had earlier received an Emmy nod for best drama series. "Housewives," like "Grey's," was snubbed in the series categories.

"We haven't gotten nominated since year one," Cherry said. "Season two was not a good season for us creatively ... but season three was better, and season four was really good. So for me waking up this morning it was like, ‘You know what? I had a really good season.' So I've got to kind of go with what I feel in my heart."

Mediaoutrage- It's always interesting to us when a good show comes to an end. We always wonder why and what is really behind stopping a great run. We're not really Desperate Housewives fans but this sort of thing has happened with shows that we were really in love with. Like still don't understand why the producers or the network itself decided to bring an end to cbs's "King Of Queens" because it was definitely the funniest show on TV and probably had a few more good seasons in it. When this sort of thing happens it usually has something to do with contract extensions or falling ratings. What we want to know Mediaoutrage readers is what TV shows you love and felt like they went off air in their prime.

Yes, because investigating the suicide of a friend who killed herself years after she murdered a woman, made off with her baby and buried the chopped-up body under a swimming pool is something that can happen to just anyone.

Anyway, apparently the greatest concern the actresses had about the time-skip wasn't how it would affect their characters, but looking "jowly". Poor things.

JOHN BRUCE --- interior designer for TLC’s "While You Were Out"
Picture this...a hotel in Baltimore about 4-5 years ago...my photographer friend Ed and I are there to photograph a conference for the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a)...in the lobby I pass a slightly-built man, long hair, dark glasses (as always!), slumped on one of the oh-so-hip contemporary sofas. I glance at him, think to myself he looks mighty familiar, then glance away and see the "While You Were Out" truck parked outside of the hotel. I glance back at him. It's interior designer John Bruce! He doesn't notice me noticing him. He's too comfortable, slumped in his incognito-ness. I have a full bag of cameras, lenses, flashes, etc. Everything an annoying papparazzi would need. Do I go over and introduce myself? No. (For one, I do not remember his name---this is what flashed in my head after I saw him, then the truck, then realized why he looked familiar: Dan-Jumbo, something orange (I later remember it's Stephen Saint Onge), and envisioning how upset I would be if I ended up with designer Hildi Santo Tomas decorating my room, gluing 7,000 silk flowers all over my bathroom walls.) I just did a search on that episode and one commenter wrote, "I remember that flower-bathroom fiasco. I personally would've taken that staple gun and fired a few brads into Hildi's forehead."

Whew...okay, back to the famous incognito slouching guy...do I pull out my camera and fire off a quick one without permission? No. I simply whisper (excitedly) to Ed, "That's a designer from "While You Were Out! See the truck there?" Ed does not know the show, so he is singularly unimpressed. Trust me, it was him.

And speaking of DAN-JUMBO...
Michael and I went to one of those National Home Shows in Chantilly a few years ago and saw Andrew Dan-Jumbo, the hunky carpenter on While You Were Out. I didn't want to push through crowds just to see him, so I discovered a hole in the nearby exhibitor curtains that I could safely view him through! No camera on hand, not even a point-n-shoot. Trust me, it was him.

Michael and I met her at one of those same home shows and she autographed a copy of her recent decorating book I had brought with me. I think her appeal to me at the time was not so much that she was a decorating/entertaining expert, but more that she was once married to Sonny Bono many, many years ago. Why do I know this? I just do. Was I a Sonny Bono fan? Not so much. But it was still cool to meet her. Do I have proof? Yes, in the form of her signature in some book somewhere in my library. A photo? Nope, no point-n-shoot and no cell phone at the time. Trust me, it was her.

RICHARD CHAVIRA—"Carlos Solis” on Desperate Housewives
I have already prepared a rather long blog posting on this celebrity stalking incident. I spotted him (hidden behind dark glasses, of course) at the San Antonio Airport at the end of Easter weekend this year. It's reasonable to assume it could be him because, a) he's from San Antonio, and b) his father lives there. This upcoming post will detail how I called three different people (repeatedly), had one of them use imdb.com to discover his real name just in case I got bold enough to ask for an autograph, attempted to appear nonchalant, pretended to learn how to use my cell phone, coughed each time the shutter clicked, and almost missed the gate change for my flight! As soon as I can figure out how to get the photos off my new cell phone, I will report back to you. Trust me, it was him.

JIMMY FALLON—Saturday Night Live
When Michael and I were at Reagan National Airport last Monday waiting for our plane to board, a dark haired, 30ish, (wearing sunglasses, of course) man walked past me with a camera on one arm and a bag on the other...sauntered right by and the minute he passed me, I immediately thought, "Saturday Night Live!" I turned to Michael and asked, "who is that guy who does the SNL news with Tina Fey? He just walked by me!" Michael said, "Kevin Nealon." No, not old SNL. New SNL. I jumped up and watched him walk down the corridor. I racked my brain trying to think of the name. He came back by and I reconfirmed it was him (there was never a doubt in my mind, though). He walked over to the food court and bought a drink. Two teenage boys stopped him, handed him something, and he started writing. They were smiling. Clearly it was him. Who stops a total stranger to ask for an autograph? What is his name what is his name SNL name Tina Fey name name. He headed back our way and I pointed him out to when he passed within four feet of us. Michael confirmed his identity. I whispered, "I wish I had my camera." Michael replied, "You do. An $1800 Nikon with lenses and flashes and CF cards. And a point-n-shoot in your purse. And your cell phone, too." As we were walking down the ramp to the plane, I went through the names again. Kevin, Tina Fey, James, Jimmy. JIMMY FALLON! Trust me, it was him.

So, all I have to show for the above celebrity sightings are three "trust me, you had to have been theres," an autographed decorating book, and a few photos of Carlos trapped in my cell phone.

I'll dig up a so-so cell phone photo of me with Paul James, HGTV's The Gardener Guy, one of my favorite fellas! And yes, he is exactly as you would imagine him. Personable, extremely funny, and very cute (and he put his arm around me in the photo, tee hee).

Years ago, I photographed political consultant James Carville when he was the featured speaker for a National Pest Control Association convention (don't know the correlation there). These photos were taken when he was a) running Clinton's campaign, b) had more hair, and c) before he was married to Mary Matalin. And yes, he is just as hyper in person as he appears on tv. I used a fast shutter speed. Want to see the photos? Please say no. I would have to dig really deep to find them.

Somewhere in my archives are a few slightly out-of-focus prints (shot in pre-digital times with a crappy disposable camera through a chain link fence), of John Denver waving at me from his Winnebago next to the Lincoln Monument at a Fourth of July concert in 1985 or 86. Trust me, it was him.

Oh, and do remind me to tell you about meeting Shirley McClaine, Dick Cavett, Leo Buscaglia (got a hug from him!), Erma Bombeck, Art Buchwald, Lana Turner (and her large Swedish bodyguard), Leroy Neiman, and Richard Simmons (a hug from him, too!)---and getting (almost all of) their autographs at a book buyer's convention in Dallas a few decades ago. Do I have photos? No. You'll have to trust me. It was them.

NO! NO YOU CAN'T! The 2008 Emmy nominations are in and Dana Delany from ABC's Desperate Housewives has been snubbed! The woman who finally brought Desperate Housewives back to its original quality is missing from the list of nominees. Hopefully the new housewives twist will keep the episodes at the level they're at now and Delany can go for "Lead Actress" next year!

Desperate Housewives - The Gun Song/Free(4.16/4.17)

Na primeira parte o segredo de Katherine é totalmente revelado: Sua filha Dylan morreu quando pequena ao cair sobre ela uma estante. Katherine então adotou uma criança parecida com ela e a fez passar por Dylan. Wayne, que havia sequestrado Adam, acha que o matou e faz Katherine de refém e mata Ellie a traficante que vivia na casa de Gabrielle quando ela entra na casa de Katherine fugindo. Isso tudo ocorre durante o casamento de Lee e Bob que Bree organiza e ao ir até a casa de Katherine é feita refém também, Adam foge do cativeiro e chega a tempo e Katherine mata Wayne que depois com a ajuda de Bree todas as "desperates" contam a mesma história pra polícia. Lynette continua com seu problema com Kayla e acaba indo presa ao ser acusada por Kayla de agressão, ao ouvir a confissão de Kayla a manda viver com os avós e Lynette volta pra casa. Para Susan sobra uma história bem chatinha com relação ao nome de seu filho que acaba tendo um nome estranho como o do avô de Mike que acabou de falecer, Maynard. Bree resolve seus problemas com Orson após ele defender sua honra e ajudá-la no casamento de Bob e Lee. No final da segunda parte do episódio temos a passagem de cinco anos e ao que parece Nicolette Sheridan não faz mais parte do elenco. Após cinco anos: As cinco Katherine, Bree, Lynette, Susan e Gabrielle continuam com seu ritual de jogar pôquer e falar da vida, Gabrielle agora tem duas filhas e virou uma dona-de-casa, Bree virou uma mulher de negócios bem-sucedida com Andrew como assistente e continua com Orson, Lynette agora tem problema com seus filhos na adolescência que arranjam encrenca com a polícia, Dylan, filha de Katherine viajou pra Paris e foi pedida em casamento e o cliffhanger fica por conta de Susan que parece não estar mais casada com Mike e sim com outro homem. nota: 10

House - Wilson's Heart(4.16)

Depois de termos visto o que se passava na cabeça de House e descobrirmos que quem corria perigo era Amber, nesse episódio vimos o coração de Wilson, num dos episódios mais emocionantes do ano e com certeza o de House. Todos ficamos tristes com a morte de Amber e principalmente com a tristeza de Wilson que realmente a amava. Amber morre por causa de seu remédio para gripe, morreu de intoxicação por Amantadina, já que devido ao impacto, seus rins não filtraram o remédio e seu corpo ficou cheio dele. Isso foi descoberto por House, ao se submeter a uma cirurgia no cérebro pra estimular, o que acabou quase causando sua morte onde ele diz a Amber(já morta) no ônibus que tem medo de perder seu melhor amigo já que ela morreu por causa dele. No fim vemos que parece que Wilson não vai encarar bem a morte de Amber em relação a House e também a nº 13 resolve testar pra ver se é positiva pra Huntignton e ela descobre que é. nota: 10

Il finale di stagione, della quarta stagione ad essere precisi, sta per essere trasmesso in anteprima italiana da FOXlife (martedì 29 luglio). Perciò non sappiamo cosa succederà ai protagonisti di Desperate Housewives, ma sappiamo per esperienza, dalle passate stagioni, che può succedere loro… Beh: di tutto! E mentre noi attendiamo, ecco le prime indiscrezioni sul prossimo ciclo (la serie è stata rinnovata per la quinta stagione con largo anticipo da ABC).

Indiscrezioni, nessuna informazione ufficiale: prendiamole quindi col beneficio del dubbio, ma parliamone perché sembrano interessanti. Pare infatti che gli abitanti di Wisteria Lane faranno un bel salto nel futuro. Fra una stagione e l’altra, a seconda delle occasioni, possono trascorrere ore, giorni, settimane o mesi… Ma questa volta, probabilmente, lo “scarto temporale” potrebbe essere più pronunciato. Si parla infatti di qualche anno. Ne sapremo di più quando avremo visto la fine della quarta stagione (ci sono eventi, in una serie, che lasciano intuire con anticipo la ripresa della narrazione ad anni di distanza) ma la conferma definitiva potrà arrivare solo con il debutto della quinta stagione, previsto su ABC il prossimo autunno.

Nel frattempo, visto che questo salto temporale sembrerebbe alquanto probabile, la produzione si sta dando da fare per risolvere il primo degli eventuali problemi: quello degli interpreti dei figli di Lynette. I ragazzi Scavo, in caso di un forte scarto temporale dovrebbero infatti apparire molto più grandi rispetto ai giovanissimi attori che li hanno finora impersonati (Zane Huett nei panni di Parker, i gemelli Shane e Brent Kinsman in quelli di Porter e Preston), quindi ci sarebbe la necessità di reclutare interpreti più maturi. Per i gemelli sono in lizza Charles e Max Carver, mentre Parker, se servisse, verrebbe interpretato da Joshua Moore. Per la piccola Penny è stata scelta Kendall Applegate, mentre non ci sono ancora notizie sull’eventuale sostituta dell’odiosa Kayla, che giusto in questi ultimi episodi è tornata a dare del filo da torcere a Lynette.

La sostituzione di Rachel G. Fox (la ricordate in Alias, nei panni di Sydney da piccola?) sarebbe davvero un peccato: la giovane attrice è bravissima nel ruolo di Kayla.

É conhecida a popularidade das novelas brasileiras no resto mundo. E por isso estréia a coluna "Para Exportação". Nela você verá aberturas de novelas e programas brasileiros em outros países. Em alguns casos, mantém-se a abertura original. Mas em outros, por decisões estratégicas e comerciais, a "embalagem" é modificada de acordo com os gostos e culturas locais. Fenômeno semelhante ocorrido na América Latina com o caso de Desperate Housewives e Donas de Casa Desesperadas (já comentado aqui).

Para começar, temos a abertura do sucesso da Rede Globo: O Clone. O novela trouxe dois temas polêmicos e extremamente atuais: a clonagem humana e a cultura islâmica. Para representar a clonagem, um homem nu é espelhado em meio a nuvens, material genético e uma intensa luz do sol, trazendo alguns efeitos e imagens interessantes. Faz-se inclusive uma associação da clonagem com o aspecto divino e criacional. A clonagem está também na própria assinatura, que nada mais é que a estilização do próprio código genético. Já os elementos culturais muçulmanos foram representados na iluminação dourada e na trilha sonora ("Sob o sol", de o Sagrado Coração da Terra).

No entanto, na versão latina para o canal Telemundo (canal americano para a comunidade latina), o enfoque á clonagem dado na abertura original é completamente suprimido. O que se têm são uma edição de imagens da própria novela, ressaltando o casal romântico Lucas e Jade, além da própria cultura islâmica. A trilha sonora foi também subtituída por algo mais alegre, rápido e mais típico. Até a própria assinatura gráfica foi alterada. Saiu o código genético e entrou um lettering com uma tipografia serifada característica do mundo árabe.

]]> http://euseries.wordpress.com/?p=183 Sat, 12 Jul 2008 18:06:19 +0000 Maurício http://euseries.wordpress.com/?p=183 Nessa 4ª feira com um lindo feriado em homenagem à Revolução Constitucionalista - Será que somente eu não sabia a que seria dado esse feriado? - Eu começo a ler algumas noticias sobre a 5ª temporada de Lost - John Terry e Alan Dale no elenco fixo! -, e, com isso minha mente começa a viajar, mas não só por LOST, mas sim por todas as série. Então, o que será que eu quero ver nas novas temporadas?

Em LOST eu quero ver mais episódios ao estilo “Ji Yeon” e “The Constant”, aqueles episódios que nos mantém grudados na tela do PC ou da TV, todos com ótimas narrativas e uma excelente cena final, daquelas que tiram o folego. Também quero que os Oceanic Six voltem a ilha, mas  não no começo da temporada, primeiro eu quero ver como o pessoal da ilha se vira sem o melhores personagens. Também quero um melhor aprofundamento nessa história da Claire ter ficado na ilha. Quero a Penny na ilha junto do o Des. Quero a Kate com a Sawyer e o Jack com a Juliet (não necessariamente nesta temporada). E, por último quero a Rousseau viva.

Em Desperate Housewives eu quero a Edie de volta, também quero que ela volte com um mistério, quem sabe ela ser o mistério?! Quero muito que os husbands da história ganhem mais espaço. Quero mais episódios ao estilo “BANG”. Quero o melhor mistério até agora. Não quero nem ver o Mike (Eu sei que verei). E, quero que sejam aproveitadas muitas situações hilárias desses cinco anos que nós não vimos, tanto com flashbaks, como também no presente.

Em Private Practice, eu quero que essa relação do Pete com a Addison não dê em nada. Quero que a Naomi tenha um affair extremamente hot com o Dell, mas só depois de eu ter dado ótimas risadas com a competição entre o ex-marido e o atual pretendente dela. Quero muito que a Dra. Charlotte ganhe mais espaço. Quero mais casos super complicados e dramáticos e também que algumas vezes esses durem mais que um episódio. E que o Cooper e a Violet comecem a ter alguma coisa.

Em 30 Rock eu quero que a Jane Krakowski ganhei muito mais espaço. Quero que a série tenha muitas mais participações especiais super conhecidas. E que ele se torne ainda mais hilária.

Em Gossip Girl eu quero que os episódios não pequem tanto. Que esses novos personagens que estão por vir acrescentem algo a série e não sejam igual a Vanessa. Quero que a Jenny ganhe mais espaço, que o Dan se torne mais suportável. E, que principalmente que a Georgina volte a série.

Em Skins e Damages eu não tenho muito que querer ou pedir já que os roteirista fazem isso por mim. As duas série são o máximo. Só quero que esses novos personagens de Skins não desapontem.

E, em Secret Diary of a Call Girl eu quero que os produtores da série decidam um tema fixo para a série, ou é comédia ou é drama, porque se eles não se decidirem vai acabar não sendo nada. E, parabéns para série, já que ele nem estreou a 2ª temporada porém já garantiu uma 3ª.

Edie Britt oznajmia Carlos'owi Solis, że powiedziała Victor'owi o romansie jego żony z byłym mężem. Carlos boi się o swoją byłą żonę i zawiadamia ją o tym. Gabrielle nie chce uwierzyć w to, bo Victor jest dla niej miły i zabrał ją na tydzień na jacht. Gabrielle zaczyna się bać, gdy Carlos powtarza jej przez telefon "zabrał cię na jacht?". Gabi chciała, aby wrócili na brzeg. Potem Victor ni z gruchy, ni z pietruchy zaczął rozmowe o jej romansie. Zaczął się wściekać i sięgnął po coś do kufra, a przestraszona Gabi palnęła go wiosłem w głowe i ten wypadł za burte. Okazało się ,że chciał wyciągnąć sfeter i go podać żonie. Gabi dzwoni po Carlosa, który zjawia się dość szybko. Wyciągają Victora z wody. Faceci zaczynają się kłócić, a Gabi znowu zrzuca Victora do wody. Tym razem nie wypływa na wierzch. Nigdzie go nie widać. Gabi i Carlos postanawiają upozorować zaginięcie i jakoby Victor sam był na jachcie, a Gabi o niczym nie wiedziała.

Bree chce, aby syn jej córki {znany jako syn Bree i Orsona} został obrzezany. Orson się na to nie zgadza bo sam jest obrzezany i nie chce, żeby jego `syn` też był. Orson chce go `zabezpieczyć` przed zabiegiem i wysyła list do kazdego szpitala w trzech najbliższyc stanach. Bree wkręca się na przyjęcie na którym obrzezają innego chłopca i dołancza tam również swoje dziecko.

Sussan odkrywa, ze Mike jest narkomanem, przy pomocy Bree. Znalazła narkotyki w latarce. Kazała je wyrzucić Mikowi, ten wywalił je przy Sussan do zlewu, ale w nocy odkręcił rure i je wyciągnął.

Lynette chce się pozbyć swojej matki z domu. Namawia siostry, aby ją zabrały - one jednak nie chcą. Matka Lynette czuje się odrzucona i wyjeżdża.

Katherine chce ujawnić informacje o biologicznym ojcu swojej córki Dylan. Katherine Mayfair opowiada jej żeby tylko nie mówiła, gdzie teraz mieszkają, bo gdy była z nim jeszcze to bił ją z byle powodu i dlatego go zostawiła i uciekła.

Dylan przestraszyła się i nie przyjmuje katki od swojej matki. Okazuje się, że na kartce, którą Katherine chciała dać swojej córce nic nie jest napisane.

The latina beauty and star of "Desperate Housewives" has achieved a major makeover; she is know sporting a cute little bob to fulfill her role on the show as an exhausted mother, Gabrielle Solis, with two young children. The 33 year-old also had to put a few pounds to act out her new role. The chop was made by celebrity stylist Ken Paves earlier this week around Monday. Her hair-do is getting good playtime, just like her baskbetball beau Tony Parker, and looks good on her. There's no sign of desperate at all.

"Desperate Housewives" creator and executive producer Marc Cherry told a meeting of the Television Critics Association on Thursday that he plans to end the ABC series after seven seasons.

The domestic comedy-drama starring Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria begins its fifth season this fall.

"I love working with these gals, but the idea of letting anyone else take the show from me kind of makes me sad and sick to my stomach," Cherry said. "We're going to get out while people still like us."

"Of course," he added, "this could be some clever ruse on my part to get tremendous amounts of money in season eight, but who knows."

Cherry, who took part in a "Desperate" panel discussion, also joined a Q&A session with other top ABC producers.

One topic of conversation was the refusal by "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl to submit her name for Emmy consideration.

Heigl, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the ABC medical drama, claimed last season's scripts were sub-par. Two of Heigl's co-stars, Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson, made the Emmy cut when nominations were announced Thursday.

Shonda Rhimes, who produces both "Grey's" and "Private Practice," told the TV critics' meeting that she was surprised by Heigl's comment.

"I actually have a really wonderful working relationship with Katherine and I love and respect her as an actress," Rhimes said. "And, as everyone knows, Izzie is one of my favorite characters, so for me, it was surprising.

"But Katherine is an outspoken person and I think we all know that already," Rhimes said.

Asked about coping with candid actors, Rhimes said "the story that's out in the press is generally one side of the story. ... Sometimes that's not everything that's going on and that's not everything that's underneath something."

A reporter then asked: "What don't we know about the Heigl thing that we've misreported or not understood?"

"She was drunk," Marc Cherry chimed in with a laugh.

Cherry also joked about having to share the stage with "Lost" producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who had earlier received an Emmy nod for best drama series. "Housewives," like "Grey's," was snubbed in the series categories.

"We haven't gotten nominated since year one," Cherry said. "Season two was not a good season for us creatively ... but season three was better, and season four was really good. So for me waking up this morning it was like, `You know what? I had a really good season.' So I've got to kind of go with what I feel in my heart." - AP

It is better for them to end it as early as now. While the story is still burning and a lot of people are still watching it. At least, if they end it as early as 7 seasons, everybody will look back and say to themselves that "Hey, it was a nice drama." Not just something that drags on and on just to keep the drama alive! But for sure, i'm going to miss it! Very different from issues from other tv series and definitely everyone can relate even for someone who is not yet married. Every end of the story leaves me wondering of the choices i am making and if i am also one of the Desperate Housewives in Wisteria Lane...

Desperate Housewives - Quarta Temporada

Episódio 1 - Now You Know

Resolvi acompanhar a quarta parte das donas-de-casa desesperadas por conta das excelentes críticas elogiando essa fase da série. Depois de uma terceira temporada sem qualquer inspiração, Desperate Housewives não parece ter mudado muito com essa season premiere chamada Now You Know, mas ao menos tem um humor mais engraçado, situações mais plausíveis (em parte, porque é meio difícil acreditar naquela situação da barriga falsa da Bree) e segredos mais instigantes. Falando em segredos, é com a chegada de uma nova moradora em Wisteria Lane, Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany, ótima) que mais um mistério se instala na vizinhança. Das garotas principais, é um alívio ter Bree de volta (Marcia Cross, a figura mais encantadora das donas-de-casa) e uma Lynette cada vez mais humana (Felicity Huffman choca e emociona com sua personagem). A série parece ter alcançado certa regularidade melhor do que na temporada anterior e essa fase tem muito mais histórias interessantes para nos proporcionar. Se continuarmos nesse ritmo, estou satisfeito.

E agora o que fazer? Depois de Jarja Fox e Gary Dourdan pedirem as contas, William Petersen o famoso Grissom pede as contas. O ator continuara como Produtor Executivo e participará sempre que necessário, mas saíra do elenco principal. Nenhuma informação do ator ou atriz que o substituirá foi confirmada, só que ele sairá no décimo episódio da nona temporada quando a atriz Jarja Fox retornará para uma participação especial.

CSI é a série de maior sucesso do canal CBS nos Estados Unidos. E foi a série de maior audiência na TV americana por vários anos seguidos, mesmo quando a rede ABC resolveu colocar Grey’s Anatomy seu maior hit na época no mesmo horário de exibição às 21h de quinta-feira. A série só perdeu o posto nesta ultima temporada para outra série da rede ABC “Desperate Housewives”.
