http://aloloom.net/vb/showthread.php?t=1077

It is proper for the one who seeks to be accepted to study with us (the following conditions).

1) To be a Salafi with good manners.

2) To be one that is recommended by one of the Ulama of the Sunnah or from a student of knowledge who is known to be. If that cannot be accomplished then after he arrives if I know from him from what is contained in the first condition then he would be accepted inshallah.

3) For me to know his name as soon as he comes so that I would give him permission to seek knowledge. And I may direct him to what I would see would benefit him.

4) The one below the age of puberty is not accepted except if he has someone who is responsible for his upbringing.

These are our conditions.

And with Allah is the guidance.

After advice after advice brothers still hide under pen-names and calls Shaikh Muqbil's Markaz a mudhut Markaz which Shaikh Rabee' called from the learning centers of the Sunnah! Here is the evidence.

http://www.siratemustaqeem.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=4624

Subhanallah a place where Hadeeth is memorized day and night and which Shaikh Muqbil established as a place which teaches da'wah as Salafeeyah is a Mudhut Markaz? May Allah rectify you for that statement Akhii. Fear Allah ta'ala and don't speak about the Fitnah between the Ulama. Leave it and spend your time memorizing some Qur'an and Hadeeth. A true student has no time to insult Ahlus Sunnah. And from the evidences of one's deviance is when they insult the people of Hadeeth.

May Allah rectify the affairs of the Salafis and remove that Hiqd and Hasad. Wallahi many of us read the book of Allah and it doesn't past our throats. If we read it we don't understand it and if we understand it we don't implement it. Allahu Musta'aan.

Shaikh Salim At Taweel said: And what increased my yearing to meet my Salafi brothers in Yemen is how Shaikh Rabee' (May Allah preserve him) described them with his statement: "Salafeeyah in Yemen is the strongest Salafeeyah in the world and they have that which makes them different (from the rest) and they do not delve into elections and politics".

Notes: So whomsoever says that the Salafi Da'wah has changed since Shaikh Muqbil died let them ponder on the words of Shaikh Rabee' and keep quiet after they ponder.

This is the complete transcription of the advice of the Shaikh the Allamah Rabee’ Ibn Haadi A

This is the complete transcription of the advice of the Shaikh the Allamah Rabee' Ibn Haadi Al Madkhali- May Allah preserve him- to his children the scholars and the Salafi students of knowledge in Yemen- may Allah give Tawfeeq to all which is good- which was taped on Wednesday 17th Rabee Uth Thani 1429 Hijrah.

Bismillah Ar Rahmaan Ar Raheem,

All praise is due to Allah, and the peace and blessing upon the Messenger of Allah and to his family and those that follow the guidance. As to what proceeds.

O loved ones, from the students of knowledge, students of Shaikh Muqbil in Yemen and all places, thank Allah for what he has blessed you with, with the understanding of the way of the Salaf Us Salih from the book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger (Salallahu alaihi wa sallam). Praise Allah upon this, and upon your great call that has brought light to Yemen and has eliminated the darkness of Ignorance, Shirk, Superstitions and Rafd (Shi'ism). For very by Allah you all have been blessed greatly. The enemies are jealous of you with the greatest of jealousy and they lie in ambush at the peripheries, and they love the likes of these differences and this trial. For whomsoever respects this da'wah and is sincere to Allah in it he tries to preserve the Da'wah and this is by unity and throwing behind seperation for verily differences are evil " Do not disagree for you will get weak and your strength will disappear"- your da'wah is strong but with these differences it will become weak and will disappear.

And trials as it is said, Sufyan Ibn Uyainah said on the authority of Khalf Ibn Hawshab that they used to act upon these lines of poetry when there were trials:

War is the first thing that would be a trial

It comes forth with its beauty for every ignoramous

Until it is lit aflame and the fire blazes from it

And the elder woman who has no husband prattles

Grey Haired disliking her colour and being disliked

Disliked in terms of scent and kissing.

At first war is decorated by the Shaitaan and the devils of mankind and the ignorant enter into it. But when it is set alight and blazes it becomes clear to them the grave conseuqnces of that trial.

For the sensible one knows the Fitnah when he is being faced with it and the ignorant doesn't know the Fitnah except after it has disappeared. And I hope that all of you in Yemen are intelligent, and from the best of those who are intelligent, I hope that you are in that high category, that you do not rush toward Fitnah and keep it aflame and but Benzine upon it- as it is said-, fire requires water to out it. As for Benzine it make the fire continue by Allah. And speech by Allah is Benzine which sets ablaze this Fitnah.

Therefore I advise all of you to safeguard your tongues in arguing about this Fitnah, and to be brothers between yourselves. May Allah bless you, and whatever happened between them in seperation it is upon them to return to thr truth. Shaikh Yahya is from the most vituous of people and upon a goodness, and Shaikh Abdur Rahmaan is from the most virtuous of men and upon goodness. And Da'wah As Salafeeyah needs more and more of the likes of them. They are in need of centers, Da'wah and callers to other than this. Yemen has more than 20 million for they need hundreds or thousands of callers by Allah- May Allah bless you all.

Right now two are arguing, this is not proper! And the reason for this it is the entering of the people of Fitnah to add flame to the fire of this Fitnah. Know this may Allah bless you all. And Shaikh Muqbil called me once and said it has reached me that in my circles there are Hizbees! I then said I don't remember saying that but I tell you yes! I assure you of this, for verily the people of Fitnah make themselves as allies to every important person. For they put themselves as allies with Shaikh Al Albani, and with Shaikh Ibn Baaz allies and for the rulers allies and for every Alim they become allies to them in order to reach their goals whilst they ally with them. So we are not safe from schemers. My brothers if there are those even if they or two or three in every meeting, three from the people of Fitnah who are schemers. The people of Dammaj are noble and virtuous and they are from Ahlus Sunnah. And you brothers in the South are noble and from Ahlus Sunnah. But it is not safe to think that there be schemers within your midts from the enemies (of the da'wah) even if their number is little, this is not impossible, it is not impossible except for the one who doesn't know the history of Islam.

The hypocrites plotted in the time of the Messenger of Allah - Salallahu alaihi wa sallam- and their number was small. In the battle of Uhud Abdullah Ibn Ubai seperated with 300 soliders from 1000. Dammaj has five thousand or six thousand and they would be safe from any schemer? It could be one or two of them, by Allah who light and keep the flame of Fitnah burning, and in the South there are also people who are schemers , they may be two or three. We do not put a ruling on all our brothers may Allah bless all of you. And it could be that within them there are schemers from the Ikhwan Al Muslimeen from the group of Abi Hasan and other than them from the Hikmah organization (organization in Yemen) or other than them may Allah bless you all. Pay attention to these things. Within the army of Ali Ibn Abi Talib there were men who were schemers who set alight the flames of Fitnah between brothers, between Ali - Radiallaho anho- and those with him from the companions from one direction an d between Zubair May Allah bless you and Talhah from another direction, you understand? In those best of times, in the first stages of Da'wah As Salafeeyah, how would it be that now we feel safe from schemers from the enemies who may be within our ranks in order to seperate us may Allah bless you all!!

My brothers! Those who love this Da'wah and respects it and wants it to conquer all other da'wahs and wants it be succeed then he has to keep quiet and advise the one who speaks and to not continue this Fitnah.

Your brother Shaikh Yahya is from the best of Ulama, and you have things that may you all special by Allah that is not found in this Dunya. You all learn not for the certificate, and you do not teach in order to get money. Right now in the Emirites and in Saudi Arabia a teacher who is deficient can get 20,000- 30,000 dollars. As for those people they receive nothing, neither from the rulers nor from any other than them. They learn for Allah and teach for the face of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And this by Allah is something special that you have, and something special in your call. Respect this blessing and work hard for its strength to remain may Allah bless you all.

And we shall ask the scholars in Yemen to work hard in outing the fire of this Fitnah. And I turn my hopes to all sides. Shaikh Yahya and Shaikh Abdur Rahmaan and whoever is with them and what has happened between them in disagreement. I am directing to you my hopes with your hopes that you keep quiet in speaking about each other, and that you erase all you speech about each other from your websites. To erase all speech. And to hold your tongues and to burn all what has been spread and to return all matters to where they belong. And at least the first step for now is silencefrom all sides and staying away from all the speech that is present that engulfs the flames of Fitnah on the Websites. In the Website of Shihr and the Website of Shaikh Yahya and other than this from the Websites.

I hope that this hope and request comes about, may Allah bless all of you

And all praise is due to Allah there are intelligent scholars who are going toward extinguishing this Fitnah, and it is not proper for the younger ones to fight and quarrel, this one quarelling with this one and this... this is the way of the people of innovation my brothers! Those who don't have any intelligence and they don't have anything to diffrentiate, and they don't have basics (in learning) and they don't have fundamentals. You all have basics and have fundamentals that you go back to. Especially in facing these trials may Allah bless you all.

I advise all of you to fear Allah and be sincere to him and to work hard in extinguishing this Fitnah firstly by not delving into it, and secondly whoever has intelligence and has sense let him show me that he is sensisble by extinguishing this Fitnah by staying quiet may Allah bless all of you. And making these requests come about that we request from our brothers in Yemen. Firstly by keeping silent. No one should speak about his brother because they are not from Ahlul Bid'ah. By Allah if one of the two sides were innovators we would have raised our voices on him and made clear his bid'ah. But there are no people of innovation amongst them. There is no one calling toward Bid'ah and there is nothing between them. Between them are personal matters- and Allah knows best- that was carried on further as I said some schemers from here and there even if their number is small, may Allah bless all of you. All of them (Shaikh Yahya and Shaikh Abdur Rahmaan) are all Salafis, all are vituous, and all of them inshallah are those who strive in the cause of Allah. May Allah bless all of you.

And Shaitan becomes pleased with differences. he doesn't become pleased with something like differences, May Allah bless all of you " And say to my worshippers to say that which is best. Verily Shaitaan whispers between them. Verily Shaitaan is an avowed enemy to mankind".

Therefore I hope my brothers if there are any differences between yourselves shake each other's hand now, from now, and to make a covenant to Allah that you will now go forward in this Fitnah except that which will extinguish it and destroy it. This is what is compulsory upon you oh my brothers.

Do you think that there are innovations present that they are fighting about? This one is an innovator and that one, never.

Meaning that some people have written and said things that we think are incorrect may Allah bless all of you.

Therefore do not deviate and drag yourselves behind - may Allah bless all of you- he said and she said and what resembles this. This will be a loss to the great da'wah that Allah has specified you with. Praise Allah upon that favour and thank him and be vigiliant upon this favour. And your onus in this is to make effort in extinguishing this Fitnah. Firstly you are here in the Kingdom and no one has a disagreement with the next.

And as for your brothers in Yemen. We hope that the major scholars go forth to extinguish this Fitnah. We hope that both sides stay silent, and verily - may Allah bless all of you- prohibit this exchange of speech in the Websites from which pleases the enemies about your da'wah and our da'wah as well. All praise is due to Allah this is the da'wah of all people- may Allah bless all of you- and it makes them pleased by Allah and they are not pleased with anything more than this internal fighting (speech that was not understood). They are unable to seperate the ranks. They are not able to do so except with a schemer, with the scheming of some of the oppresive ones may Allah bless Allah of you. As for coming and seperating you all like that and attacking of Da'wah As Salafeeyah they are unable. But the attack from the inside it is the worst of things.

There I, Oh my brothers, repeat and repeat my hope for all to work on extinguishing this Fitnah by becoming brothers and uniting between yourselves in Yemen. And whomsoever does an evil to his brother let him seek forgiveness from his brother. And no shyness or other than this prevents him from asking forgiveness, for verily by Allah it is from great nobility and humility and from the evidences that verily the one who did wrong loves the truth and is a true Salafi.

I ask Allah that this Fitnah ends, and humble yourselves to Allah in Du'a to end this fitnah and hasten my brothers hasten to extinguish it with what I have mentioned to you. May Allah make your steps firm and may Allah bless all of you and bring love between the hearts of all. Verily our lord is the hearer of our supplication. And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and those who follow him.

May Allah bless you All

One of those present said: Does anyone have any problems?

Shaikh Rabee' then said: No problems, no delving and no questions and no answers extinguish it no questions and no answers leave it. Now your goal and your work is to extinguish this fitnah. Speech increases it therefore do not speak- may Allah bless you- and do not be partisan to this party or to that party. all of them are your brothers. All of them are upon one 'Aqeedah and one Manhaj all praise is due to Allah. And they have a great influence and for Allah is all the praise in helping the truth and spreading it. May Allah grant his Tawfeeq to all.

I said to Shaikh Muqbil at one time, there was a threat from the countries of the Arabian Peninsula that we will go forth to seperate between Shaikh Rabee' and Shaikh Muqbil. This speech reached me so I called Shaikh Muqbil and said that it reached me that there are those who wish to seperate between ourselves and you. He then said to me: If the mountains pushed each other this would not harm us. And there will be nothing from it. I want from you all the likes of this.

Like that mountain who said speech like this. The one who put his ears to listen to speech by Allah enters into Fitnah may allah bless all of you. The one who sends to you speech from Yemen that he is this and that say to him O my brother we hope that you hold your tongue in Yemen and there May Allah bless all of you and may he grant all of you his Tawfeeq.

And if any of you want the truth and the proper way to take away this problem, this is in my opinion the most straight of ways in order to end these differences and extinguishing this Fitnah and the scholar inshallah are trying their best to extinguish it inshallah.

Subhanakallahumma wa Bihamdik. Ashadu An Laa Ilaha illa Anta.

Assalamu Alaikum,

My dear brothers and sisters. May Allah have mercy on all of you the Prophet (Salallahu alaihi wa sallam) said whomsoever believes in Allah and the last day let them say good or keep silent. Those at the forum of Ahya.org I ask all of you writers who are Majhool to beg Allah ta'ala for forgiveness because of what you exposed to the west about the situation in Yemen. And part of seeking that forgiveness is translating the speech of Shaikh Rabee' Ibn Hadi Al Madkhali that he gave to Ahlul Yemen about the Fitnah. And showing that the people of Yemen have adhered to this advice of the Allamah.

This is it right here http://daralhadeeth-sh.com/forums/showthread.php?t=327

We know you want to try to speak ill of Shaikh Yahya because he spoke about Suhaib Hasan and because his students speak about Jam'eeyah Ahlil Hadeeth. We know that your headlines are only to add gasoline to the fires of fitnah and to pass it in the west so that others would lose respect for the Shaikh. But if you are just and truthful then translate what Shaikh Rabee' himself has said and then take his advice to keep quiet because great Britain or even the English speaking world has nothing to do with this fitnah.

He said himself and you will read it. That the people who make fitnah are probobly troublemakers from the Ikhwan Al Muslimeen or troublemakers from the likes of Abu Hasan Al Ma'ribi or from other than them from the Jam'eeyah of Hikmah. Those who seek to make seperation between the Salafis.

They (the students) pray Fajr in Jama’ah in two Masjids. The first one being the Masjid of the

They (the students) pray Fajr in Jama'ah in two Masjids. The first one being the Masjid of the institution which is called "the Masjid of the Library" with our Shaikh Yahya son of Ali Al Hajuuri (may Allah preserve him) the Khaleefah of Shaikh Muqbil Ibn Haadi Al Wadi'ee (May Allah have mercy upon him) leading them in the Fajr Salaat and he is the best of those who proceeded from those who preceeded. Allah has helped by him the Da'wah and humiliated innovations and there is another Masjid in the farmlands, and the farmlands contain the houses of the students who come seeking knowledge with their families.

When Salaat Ul Fajr is finished they remember Allah and read the Qur'an until sunrise then whoever wishes to pray the two Raka'ah of Salaat Ul Ishraaq does so. After this they turn to their specific lessons in all sciences and the most well known of their lessons is the lesson of our Shaikh the knowledgeable Yahya son of Ali Al Haajuri who remains with his students in rememberences and revision of the Qur'an which his guard reads to him or one of his students. Then he prays the two Raka'ah of Salaat Ul Ishraaq and then goes to sit with guests in order to teach whomsoever is present from his students. And this class is not compulsory, any student that wishes to do so sits in that class. Books are read quite quickly, whenever the Shaikh finishes with a book he opens another book. Until now he has read through Zaad Ul Ma'aad, the explanation of 'ilal at Tirmidhi by Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy upon him), Haadi Al Arwaah by Ibnul Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him), Al Adhkaar by Imam An Nawawi (may Allah have mercy upon him), and he is now teaching the book Subulus Salaam by Imam As San'aani (may Allah have mercy upon him). And these lessons are very beneficial by the will of Allah because it makes clear that which is not understandable, specifies the general, clarifies that which is not clarified and he refutes errors. And during this lesson and after it there are various other lessons in inheritance, creed, language, jurisprudence, the science of Hadeeth for about an hour until Thuhr, Every student enters into classes that are appropiate for them. And those who are busy with memorizing remains with what he is memorizing and also those who are reviewing. As for those who research then the library is open for them from 6 o'clock in the morning until before the Adhaan by 20 minutes. The guard then informs the students about the time to leave in preparation for the Thuhr Salaat then the students come together in the Masjid for the Adhaan and after it then they pray four raka'aats before Thuhr because of the Hadeeth of Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) in the Saheeh and in some cases they differ therefore praying two raka'ah because of the Hadeeth of Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with him and his father) in the Saheehain and then they pray Thuhr in Ja'amah. Afterwards they make their rememberences for Salaat and then they pray that which comes after then the Shaikh Al Allamah Abi Abdir Rahmaan Yahya Al Hajuuri proceeds with his daily lesson that does not cut off except for Juma'ah otherwise it is countinuous even on the days of the 'Eed celebrations and these classes occur in the following order: On Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays there is Tafseer of Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy upon him). And in other days the Jaami' As Saheeh by Imam Al Wadi'ee (May Allah have mercy upon him.

And usually the Shaikh before the lesson answers some of the questions and inquiries of his brothers from the students of knowledge or giving attention to what needs to be given attention to...

Then they go and eat their lunches and whoever wishes he goes to the library before Asr and then they get ready for Asr and do the same as they do for Thuhr and then the Shaikh gives a daily lesson in Saheeh Al Bukhari which does not stop unless there is a furneral and the rest of the classes are like this and at this time the Shaikh answers questions and then the students read the Hadeeth and then the Shaikh reads the Hadeeth following it and then put notes upon it after this and then the students proceed to their work. Those who are researchers go to the library, teachers go to their lessons and the Shaikh sits down with visitors and those who have problems advising them, clarifying matters to them and calling to Allah then he returns to his house and reviews his research or puts forward the research of his brothers and other than this from his work. After this the students make their afternoon thikr and they get ready for Maghrib and then pray it and then they do their rememberances after the prayer and their superagatory prayers...

And after Maghrib ... the Shaikh usually gives lessons and answers questions and then teachers Saheeh Muslim then Sunan As Sughra by Imam Al Baihaqi, then the book Iqtida Siraat Ul Mustaqeem, and before that he puts makes note of some issues in Umdah Fil Fiqh Al Hanbali. And this class goes on until the Isha Salaat for about one and a half hours or one hour and forty five minutes. Afterwards, we pray Isha and then the single students go to eat their dinner, the married students to their houses, the researchers to their libraries, and whomsover has classes they go to their classes and those who review go back to what they were reviewing. Then the electricity gets turned off by 10:00 p.m ...

Notes:

1) I didn't translate everything on the site however I just stuck to the important aspects of the timetable since that was the intention. If anyone wishes to add to it please check

http://www.sahab.net/forums/showthread.php?t=357216

2) I chose to translate this so that maybe some of those who spread mischief can reflect at the amount of good that is being done in Dammaj.

And Allah knows best.

The Humility of our Shaikh Muqbil Ibn Hadi Al Wadi'ee (Didn't write the whole thing)

http://www.sahab.net/forums/showthread.php?t=350972

He was never one to look down at others or be amazed of himself or have pride over others and whoever mixed with him knew this

He said of himself: I am deficient, and he said: I am not pleased with myself.

And when gray started to appear on his beard he started to become said and said to himself: What have you done for Islam and the Muslims?

And he said about the (Salafi) Da'wah when it became apparant, powerful and spread: This is something that Allah wanted and it was not by our strength or our eloquence or our knowledge or our money (in reality they were poor).

He also said: About the condition of those who mixed with the narrators of Hadeeth is a meesage: Yesterday they were amongst scholars, now they are among crazy people, therefore it is upon everyone to not be amazed of himself because of his intelligence of ability to memorize

He also said: Pride is one of the biggest things that turns one away from good. Allah said: "I will turn those who have pride upon the earth from my verses". And one who has pride is hated by the people even if he has gold that weights a lot.

And he said a few times to his students: I see you now as my friends.

And for all these reasons from his character and manners, was that he would accept the truth from anyone whoever it may have been, male or female, whether young or old. And he used to become happy for that reason and make du'a for the one who made him pay attention (to his error). And he made his errors clear in front of crowds.

Note: As a result we see the fruits of his da'wah in Yemen where it is powerful. His students include Shaikh Yahya Al Haajuri who has memorized the six books of Hadeeth. Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab Al Wassabi, Shaikh Muhammad Al Imam, Shaikh Yahya Ibn Abdul 'Azeez Al Bura'ee. And amongst them who were on our island i.e Shaikh Zayed Al Wassabi who has memorized books such as Buluugh Ul Maraam and Shaikh Abu Amr Al Haajuri who has memorized Saheeh Bukhari and Muslim. May Allah ta'ala keep Dammaj as one of the lighthouses of the Sunnah.

Shaikh Muqbil (may Allah have mercy upon him) was asked in this place of sitting which I had: How did the Da'wah As Salafeeyah spread in Yemen? What is the reason?

He said: The reason is by distinguishing (ourselves), we distinguished ourselves from the people of Bid'ah and therefore Allah spread the Sunnah.

And he gave an example: that a person from the people of innovation came in a Masjid in order to speak there, then everyone in that Masjid left it- meaning they made Hajr (seperation) from him and humiliated him.

Meaning they were satisfied with the Sunnah, and they knew the great station of it and knew the evil of innovation and the evil which comes from it.

It was- my brothers- distinguishing Ahlus Sunnah from the partisans and Ahlul Bid'ah that was a great reason for the spread of the Sunnah. And blending and mixing with them will have the opposite effect and it is a reason for the conquering of Ahlul Bid'ah and its people over the Sunnah and its people, therefore innovations spread.

I ask Allah to keep ourselves and you firm upon the Sunnah and to make us ack upon it and to love and hate for the sake of it, Yes.

I was speaking to a friend today. And he was telling me that a few brothers from Trinidad went to Yemen for a year and they had one word to describe it: HARD. They told him that it wasn't really the living conditions that turned them off but rather it was the fact that in Yemen they study 24/7 and was a bit too rigorous for them.

I said to myself Subhan Allah. A lot of people want to go to Yemen in order to seek knowledge. But few prepare for such a journey. I am not speaking about financial preparation because anyone can save up enough money to go to Yemen. Rather, I am speaking about mental preparation. On this note, how many brothers and sisters do we find memorizing Qur'an, Hadeeth or texts or even making the effort to do so?

Honestly, after hearing that I even fear for myself. Then again one of the Companions of the Messenger said: "Say to the student of knowledge to put on shoes of steel...". Over there one has to memorize books. A student who was there told me that a weak student memorizes at least 25 Hadeeth per week!!

You don't write an exam and get a certificate like other institutions. The scholars there actually test you on what you have memorized from Ahadeeth and other texts and assess you upon that. If you look in the book of Tabaqaat by Shaikh Yahya Al Haajuri you would see: So and so memorized the Qur'an, Saheeh Al Bukhari, Saheeh Al Muslim etc.

Then at the end of the day you get no certificate at all but what you would have are the Ahadeeth and action upon it inshallah ta'ala. And I guess this is why at the end of the day I don't really care to return to an institute per say because I desire not any certificate. I have seen how a piece of paper has fooled many into thinking that those who hold them are people of knowledge when it is opposite. And Allah's help is sought.

Therefore, is anyone ready to go to Yemen?

A lot of brothers and sisters think that seeking Islamic knowledge is like schoolwork. You go to an

A lot of brothers and sisters think that seeking Islamic knowledge is like schoolwork. You go to an institute, get accreditation and then Mashallah you are the Alim of the Ulama. It has almost become like the Western Universities where a large quantity of people are churned out each year but little quality is found.

Why is this? It is because many of the Islamic Institutes have made the students focus upon reading and understanding rather then memorizing and understanding. Therefore you would find that many of our brothers and sisters would have knowledge but unfortunately it is not comprehensive in any subject. When you ask them for quotes or evidences they cannot bring out even one and when they answer questions they have no idea of the issue being asked about in the first place. This is because they have abandoned the way of our Salaf in seeking this religious knowledge.

Commiting Qur'an, Hadeeth and Texts to memory is essential. Qur'an because it is the book of Allah. Hadeeth because it is the statements, actions and permissions of the Messenger (Salallahu alaihi wa sallam) and texts (mutuun) which show us how the scholars derive their rulings and speech.

They best of these statements I have found is this one:

Whatever one can take into the Hamaam (washroom) it is knowledge.

This is because one who memorizes has proofs with him at all times and can speak about issues pertaining to Islamic knowledge at the drop of a dime. As for the one who hasn't done so you would find that he is unable to bring about proofs and speak about Islamic knowledge in a proper manner. This is why I am amazed that many people are given titles such as Alim, Alimah, Mufti and Shaikh and they haven't even memorized 2 or 3 Juz of Qur'an, 40 Nawawi or even a simple text on Tawheed or Fiqh. And Allah's help is sought. And I am even more amazed at the likes of those who take people with university degrees (from the University of the West Indies) as people of knowledge when these people cannot even recite Surat Al Faatihah or have basics in knowledge which every Muslim should know. Once I was speaking to a former Vice President of the UWI Islamic Society and he was upon the path of rejecting some of the Ahadeeth. So I asked him Ya Akhii what is a Hadeeth (its definition)? Sad thing he didn't even know. Therefore, I say that these people who have Doctorates in sociology and engineering and have not studied memorized an Ayah of the Qur'an properly have delusions of grandeur when they seek to put themselves forward in order to teach Islam. Unfortunately, they put themselves forward as ignorant leaders who are astray and lead others astray.

In any case let us look at the memory of our past scholars:

Bismillah:

These are some statements from the people of hadeeth. The people who Allah raised up to protect and preserve this religion:

Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa. – Volume 21, Page 450

Let us as students of knowledge follow these examples. And from our modern examples are the likes of Shaikh Yahya Al Haajuri of Dammaj, Yemen. It has been said that he has memorized the 6 books of Hadeeth and moreover it is said that every word that his teacher; Shaikh Muqbil Ibn Haadi has said he has memorized. Alhamdu lillah this is only found among the Salafi Ulama.

Someone may ask: What is the process of memorizing?

I tell them memorizing is quite easy Alhamdu lillah. Allah has said: "And we have made the Qur'an easy to remember so is there anyone who will remember?"

This is the way I memorize and Alhamdu lillah it has worked for me (In Qur'an)

1) I take one verse at a time and memorize it. So once I can say a verse by memory I go onto the next verse.

2) I then go to the second verse and tie it to the first verse. Then the third verse and tie it to the first and second and so on until I have memorized what I wish to memorize.

3) When I am done I repeat it over and over by heart at least 10 times.

4) Memorizing little. I do not go over 2 pages in one day because that is difficult to revise. But I do at least one (on weekdays and Sunday leaving off Saturday for review alone)

5) Revision: I make sure and read it for many days after I memorize it by heart.

Alhamdu lillah by Allah's permission I memorize a page within 20 or 30 minutes using this method.

As for Hadeeth:

1) I read the Hadeeth from the start. Memorize the name of the Sahabi who narrated the Hadeeth first and foremost.

2) Then I take sentences from the Hadeeth and see if I have memorized them. Then I connect the sentences together to see if I have done the whole Hadeeth.

3) Then when I am finished with three I read all three ten times by heart if they are short. If they are long I read them 10 times each.

4) I do not pass 5 Hadeeth in one day. And memorize at least 3

5) Revising it every day by reciting it by memory.

By Allah's mercy it doesn't take much time to memorize it.

The main things in memorizing are nine:

1) Sincerity

2) A lot of Du'a

3) Staying away from sins. Especially looking at women (yes unless it is your wife your mind strays and you tend to forget what you are saying) and listening to music.

4) Memorizing one thing at a time. If one is memorizing a chapter of the Qur'an he memorizes it until he finishes it. If it is a chapter in Hadeeth he does so until he is finished etc. He doesn't finish half of a Chapter and then leaves it or finished half a chapter in Hadeeth then leaves it.

5) Setting a daily goal. Even if it is 3 lines of Qur'an per day or one Hadeeth.

6) Being consistent on that daily goal. And not leaving it for anything.

7) Revision, revision and more revision.

8) Understanding and Acting upon what you have memorized.

9) Da'wah toward it. Knowledge is remembered when one teaches it.

Therefore in the Kuffar institutions they read and understand. As for us Muslims we memorize and understand. May Allah make it easy for us and bring from amongst us Imams in knowledge and piety.

The outstanding Shaykh ibn 'Alee al-Haajooree (May Allaah protect him) and I found that he did very well and brought much benefit in his refutation against Abdul-Majeed az-Zindaane what a good reaserch he did discussing in the majins beneficial pieces of knowledge in to the topics of 'Aqeeda and Fiqh and Hadeeth and Tafseer. Our Lord has spoken the truth when he says (the english meaning is) " O you who believe if you fear Çááå (Allah) , Çááå (Allah) will grant you a criterion (al-Anfal:29). and when He says " Fear Çááå (Allah) and Çááå (Allah) will teach you " (al-Baqarah:282) and when He says " O you who believe fear Çááå (Allah) and believe in His messanger he will give you a double portion of His Mercy and He will give you a light by which you shall walk (straight). We ask Çááå (Allah) to grant us and him ( as-Shaykh Yahyaa) success in serving and defending the Sunnah of the Messenger of Çááå (Allah) and we ask that He protects us from the trials of the life and death, verily He is able to do all things.

The Imaam said in the preface to ash-Shaykh Yahyaa's book " al-'Arba'oon al-Hisaan". To proceed I have read portions of what the outstanding Shaykh, the Muhaddith, the Faqhee , Yahya ibn 'Alee al-Haajooree has written in the forty Hadeeth. Dealing with gathering around the meal and I found that he (May Çááå (Allah) protect him) did very well and brought much benefit, rather he brought beneficial pieces of knowledge in which journeys are made in search of. May Çááå (Allah) grant him a good reward.

· 5. The Imaam said in the preface to ash-Shaykh Yahyaa's book "Ahqaamul Jumu'ah" to Proceed; "I have looked through the book al-Jumu'ah by Shaykh Yahyaa ibn 'Alee Haajooree and I found it to be a magnificent book. In it are beneficial pieces of knowledge in which journeys are made in search of including, giving every hadeeth the ruling it deserves and covering the entire topic. So it is a complete book sufficient in this topic. And how can that not be the case while ash-Shaykh Yahyaa is someone who goes to the extreme in searching for what is best and in righteousness and in leaving of those things that don't benefit in the hereafter (az-Zuhud), and piety and in fearing Çááå (Allah). He is someone who speaks the truth and He for Çááå (Allah) is not afraid of the criticism of the one who criticize, and he (May Çááå protect him) acts as my substitute in the lessons in Darrul-Hadeeth in Dammaj. giving them in the best desired manner. 6. One of the guards of Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullaah), mentioned to us that he asked Shaykh Muqbil (rahimahullaah) at a Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia "Who is the most Knowledgeable man in Yemen?" So the Shaykh remained silent for a moment then he said " ash-Shaykh Yahya "

This was sent to us by Nawaaz as-Srilaankee, a student in Dammaaj. The objective was to encourage the brothers to travel to seek knowledge. The following is a translation of Shaykh Rabee's praise for Dammaaj and the Salafee Mashaayikh of Yaman Hafidhaahumullaah.

Statements of the Great Scholar, the Imaam of al-Jarh wa ta'deel in the era, Rabee' ibn Hadee al-Madkhalee in praise of Shaykh Yahyaa and Daarul-Hadith in Dammaj.

1. The noble brother Aboo Abdur-Rahmaan the student of the great Scholar Rabee ibn Haadee, informed us when he came to visit Dammaj that he heard a Shaykh Rabee say "Verily ash-Shaykh Yahya is a person who possesess knowledge and Abul-Hassan (al-Misree) is not equivalent to the shoe of Shaykh Yahya al-Haajooree.
2. The Imaam Rabee' ibn Hadee was asked on the 23rd of Ramadhaan 1424;

"What is your opinion of going to study at Daarul Hadith in Dammaj, Yemen, knowing that I am a new student?

The Imaam answered by saying "Indeed it is befitting that you journey to this strong hold from the strong holds of Islaam, to this light house from the light houses of Islaam. Indeed journey should be made to it and the knowledge should be sought there. He (student of Knowledge) will find - Çááå willing- much good there and he will find the Sunnah and guidance and he will find there adherence to the Prophet (May the peace and blessing of Çááå be upon him). By Çááå we encourage studying at this abode which is from the strong holds and light houses of the Sunnah. In it - Çááå willing- are men from the people of the Sunnah and guidance and knowledge, we ask Allaah that he keeps them firm on the Sunnah and that he bring about benefit by them and that He make them from amongst those who carry the banner of the Sunnah, in this time period in which innovations have accumulated and trials have evolved. We seek refuge in Allaah.<!-- D(["mb","\u003cbr\>\u003cbr\>So all praise are due to Allaah so\nwhoever wants good and wants guidance and whoever wants to be far away\nfrom tribulations, he must cling to the strongholds of the Sunnah - all\npraise due to Allaah - They are numerous in many countries and in\nparticular this strong hold which I see in it clear distinction and\nall praises are due to Allaah to make it go smooth for the one who\nstrives to it seeking the guidance from its source and seeking an\nenlightenment from the Sunnah and good that is there." \u003cbr\> \u003cbr\>3.\nThe brother Sameer al-Hudaydee mentioned in the preface to questions he\npresented to a Shaykh Yahya from brothers residing in Jeddah, Saudi\nArabia.
3. The brother Sameer al-Hudaydee mentioned in the preface to questions he presented to a Shaykh Yahya from brothers residing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. That he went to Shaykh Rabee' and said:

"The followers of Abul Hasan (al-Misree) say there are no 'Ulamaah in Yemen!", so ash-Shaykh Rabee responded by saying "Ash-Shaykh Muhammad (Ibn Abdulwahhab), what is he?!
The noble brother Ameen ibn Ahmad ash-Shaame al-Yemaanee said: I went to Shaykh Muhammad ibn AbdulWahhad al-Wassabee visiting him. So he said in the sitting:
