Peng (parare)

Lui (ritirarsi ruotando)

Ji (premere)

An (spingere)

At the past two conferences I’ve spoken at, Search Insider Summit and Media Relations Summit, one of the popular topics that has been floating around the after session meet-ups and dinner conversations concerns the changing nature of search optimization. Some speculate SEO is on the way out. Others say social media is the new SEO.

Whatever the speculation, companies need to figure out how to best adjust their search marketing strategies to maintain a competitive advantage. One way to do that is to focus the right proportion of effort on standard text optimization as well as the optimization and promotion of all other digital assets.

Both Google’s Universal Search and the new Ask3D interface that show users more information from more sources (news, images, products, video, etc) in the first page of results illustrates the need to consider more media types than standard text documents. There are already quite a few opinions on what effect such a combination of data sources presented within first page search results will have on the future of SEO.
Origin's of the Classic of Purity

This short but profound work is, with the exception of the writings of Lao Tsze, the founder of Taoism, and those of Chuang Tsze, his disciple, one of the earliest of the Taoist Classics.

By some authorities it has been attributed to Lao Tsze himself, but it more probable that it is the work of Ko Hsuan, who lived in the Wu Dynasty (A.D. 222-227)

Of Ko Hsuan, many extraordinary occurrences are recorded. He is said to have been able to work miracles, to walk upon water, to have known the secret of the Elixir of Life, to have been translated at last to heaven in the full light of day, and to have attained the rank of an Immortal.

Among Chinese students of the subject, there is a diversity of opinion as to whether Ko Hsuan did actually write this work; but that it was composed by a Taoist of an early date is generally conceded.

The question of authenticity and authorship of the Classic, however is, of quite secondary importance, if we are chiefly concerned with the inner Reality with which it deals.

The true test of the value of any scripture, or presentation of truth, be it what it may, and whatsoever its source, may be found by the discriminating in the teachings themselves, and consist in their intrinsic truth. This is the standard by which any writing should be tested, for this alone is to be found its essential worth.

There have been several previous English translations of the Classic of Purity, all of which possess merits of their own, but none of them have been widely known. One of the earliest was that of F. H. Balfour, which appeared in the little volume entitled Taoist Texts, which was published in Shanghai about 1880. A second is that of James Legge, which is given as an appendix to Vol. XL of The Sacred Books of the East, published in 1891. Another is an undated pamphlet by W. H. Midhurst, which may have been the earliest of the three. The original appears in the Collection of the Most Important Treatises of the Taoist Fathers (Vol. 49).

In this new translation, an endeavour has been made to restore many of the obscure passages to there original purity.

The Taoism of Lao Tsze and the early exponents of this Mystical Philosophy, has a simplicity and profundity which in its own way, has perhaps never been surpassed, and the fact that modern forms of Taoism have degenerated into a system of divination and magic, shows the curious depths into which the ignorance and selfish desires of man lead him, when the spiritual reality is obscured.

In The Classic of Purity, however, we have a precious jewel in the diadem of Truth. It is, in a concentrated form, a treatise on the Way of Attainment through the purifying of the mind and the stilling of desires. It has many points of similarity with Asvaghosha's Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana, for the attainment of Tao and the attainment of Nirvana are the same, and the Path thereto is essentially the same Path.

There is also a certain resemblance between Eastern Mysticism and the Western School known as the Quietists, wherein the undue accentuation of externals is restrained and the tendency to live exclusively in the outward world of time and sense is corrected.

Basically, there are two ways of approaching God, that of the Via Affirmativa, in which the mind is concerned with what He is, in relation to that which the finite is not, and that of the Via Negativa, which denies of Him all finite limitations or attributes whatsoever.

By the negative approach, no limitation of the Divine is implied, but by this method, veil after veil is removed, until Diety Itself is beheld.

The Via Affirmtiva and the Via Negativa have also been termed two modes of Contemplation of the Divine; they are said to mark the equilibrating Pulse of the true Mystical Life.

"In the former case, beginning from on high, there is an out-flowing and a down-flowing of the consciousness, which passes from universals to particulars and sees God in all things, in the lowest as well as the highest. But in the latter case, there is an up-drawing and an in-drawing of the consciousness, passing from particulars to universals, which sees God is not any of the things contemplated (because He transcends them all ), and therefore, by abstraction, it arrives at the Super-essential Darkness which outshines and obliterates the light of all sensible things. Or, in other words, an approach is made to the Light Unapproachable."

It is this approach which is described in the Mystical Theology of Dionysius the Areopagite, wherein it is portrayed almost exclusively in terms of pure intellect, rather than by a freeing of the mind by the stilling of desires as in The Classic of Purity, yet the Super-essential Darkness of the Western Mystics is none other than Tao.

That the teachings of sages and mystics of all ages and lands should confirm one another is not surprising; in fact, it could not well be otherwise, for the inspired authors of sacred scriptures and mystical and philosophical works, although they may be unknown to each other, as well as to the world at large, are yet, in that they have touched Reality itself, expounding different aspects of one unalterable Truth.

The Source of their inspiration is the same, but the manner of their presentation is adapted to the needs and conditions of the time and place in which they live and work. Thus, the Eternal Verities are unfolded in new and beautiful settings to the never-ending upliftment and joy of the awakened mind and heart.

In the Chinese Classics, as in other Eastern writings, a word is often repeated in order to impress a truth more forcibly upon the mind, as for example, in the passage in The Classic of Purity, which states that " the nothingness of nothing is also nothing." Again, it will be noticed that throughout these teachings, constant use is made of paradoxes, and this method of presentation enables truths to be glimpsed that are beyond expression in a literal sense.

Thus, the mind may be led through the uttermost negation to the Transcendent Reality of Tao Itself, and thus come to the realization that the Via Affirmativa and theVia Negativa are but different modes of approaching the same ultimate Goal; that the method of all mystics has been the endeavour to express the inexpressible by means of paradox, and in a symbolic imagery which only those who have walked long and persistently on the Mystic Path will comprehend with any degree of fullness; that affirmation and negation are processes of the mind which may be overpassed when the soul is at-one with That Which it seeks.

The following preface, attributed to Ko Hsuan on account of its mystical character, forms a significant and fitting introduction to the work itself.

The Preface of Ko Hsuan:

When I attained to union with Tao, I had meditated upon this Canon ten thousand times. Only the spiritually-minded are able to realize its true meaning and it cannot be communicated to the worldly.

I received it from the Divine Ruler of the Eastern Splendour; he received it from the Divine Ruler of the Golden Gate; and he received it from the Royal Mother of the West.

It has always previously been transmitted by word of mouth, and never before has it been written, but now, while I am still in the world, I have committed it to paper with great care.

Enlightened Sages who have truly comprehended the meaning of this Canon will become Ambassadors of Heaven; those of the middle order who endeavour to put its precepts into practice will be ranked among the Immortals of the Southern Palace; and those of the lowest order who gain even a limited understanding of it, will achieve longevity, traverse the Three Regions, and ascending at last on high, they will enter the Golden Gate.

THE CLASSIC OF PURITY

The Supreme TAO is formless, yet It produces and nurtures all things.

The Supreme TAO has no desires, yet by Its power the Sun and Moon revolve in their orbits.

The Supreme TAO is nameless, yet It supports all things eternally.

I do not know its name but for title call It "TAO".

TAO manifests both the pure and the turbid, both as movement and stillness.

The Universe is Pure, our World is turbid.

The Universe moves, our World is still.

The light is pure, the dark is turbid.

The masculine is active, the feminine is passive.

Manifesting in Its Radical Essence, TAO flows even to the last of things, bringing forward The Universe and our World and all that belongs to them.

The pure is the cause of the turbid, and movement is the cause of stillness.

When people attain the power to transcend that which changes, abiding in purity and stillness, The Universe and our World are united in them.

The Inner Spirit of people loves purity, but the mind of people is often rebellious. The mind of people loves stillness, but the desires of people draw them into activity. When a person is constantly able to govern their desires, their mind becomes spontaneously still. When the mind is unclouded, the Inner Spirit is seen to be pure. Then, with certainty the desires will cease to come forward and the poisons will be eliminated and dissolved.

The reason people do not possess the ability to achieve this is because their minds are not clear and their desires are unrestrained.

Those who have the power to transcend their desires, looking within and contemplating mind, realizes that in mind, mind is not; looking without contemplating form, they realize that in form, form is not; looking at things still more remote and contemplating matter, they realize that in matter, matter is not.

When they have clearly thought about these three they perceive only a void, and when they contemplate the void, they realize that the void is also void and has become nothingness. The void having vanished into nothingness, they realize that the nothingness of nothing is also nothing, and when the nethermost nothingness is reached, there is truly to be found a deep and unchanging stillness.

In this profound stillness how can desires come forward? When desires can no longer come forward, there is essential and unchanging stillness.

Truth is essentially unchanging.

All things in The Universe and in our world are in essence unchanging.

The unfolding of a person's mind leads them to this unchanging truth.

In unchanging Stillness, unchanging Purity and Rest are found.

Those who attain Purity and Stillness enter into the Immutable TAO.

Having entered the Immutable TAO they are named Possessor of TAO.

Although they are named Possessor of TAO they know they do not possess it.

Only when they can transmute all living things can they be truly named Possessor of TAO.

Those who are able to understand this can lead others to Sacred TAO.

I just tried a new product here at The Spanish Table that is so good that I am stepping away from my usual wine related patter to alert you to this new taste treat.

My new favorite product is a 2004 vintage canned tuna.

Ageing canned fish is a well respected tradition in many Spanish homes. Some people (those with great forethought and discipline) even wait over a decade before opening the tin.

Ortiz, one of the top brands of canned bonito del norte tuna packed in olive oil, have recently started marketing several reserva varieties of canned tuna that are aged on purpose before sale. These vintage dated products develop a richer, creamier texture and a nutty, delicate flavor over time.

I know, I know, many of you will be skeptical when I sing the praises of ‘old canned goods’ but this is something you need to just try for yourself. Take one small can of regular Ortiz tuna and compare it side by side with the same sized can of Ortiz Reserva de la Familia 2004 vintage tuna. I already think of Ortiz tuna as on of life’s great pleasures, so you can imagine my surprise when I tasted the vintage variety and found it to be a deliciously different version of the original.

To taste this line caught, dolphin safe tuna at its best (and to get back to my primary mission) pair it with some of the fresh white and rosado wines from this week’s selections. These warm weather wines will refresh your thirst and stimulate your appetite without emptying your wallet.

If eating tuna straight from the can with a fork seems wrong to you (it is hard to resist!) then may I suggest the following simple appetizer that I have been served at numerous wineries and informal gatherings in Spain.

Tuna and Piquillo montaditos (serves 4 as a tapa, 2 per person)

Ingredients:

2 4 oz. cans of Ortiz Reserva 2004 Bonito del Norte tuna

8 whole jarred piquillo peppers

8 ½” slices of baguette

¼ cup Spanish extra virgin olive oil

1 tblspn. flor de sal (sea salt)

8 toothpicks

Directions:

This simple preparation calls for the best quality ingredients. Open the cans of tuna and drain some, but not all, of the oil. Divide the contents of each can in fourths and fill each pepper with tuna. Top each slice of bread with a filled pepper and secure with a toothpick. Drizzle the peppers with the best olive oil you can find and sprinkle with top quality sea salt. Plate and serve. That’s all there is to it!

Paella alert-two weeks away: The ever popular and always delicious Paella class at Kitchen On Fire is back.

Ameztoi Rubentis 2007 This rosado Txakoli, the first of its kind, was the big hit of last summer in its inaugural vintage. Ignacio Ameztoi Aranguren, a 7th generation basque winemaker produces this wine from the fruit of his 50 acre vineyard in the Getaria region overlooking the Cantabrian Sea. Rubentis is composed of a blend of indigenous Hondarribi Zuri (white) and Hondarribi Beltza (red), creating a light pink colored wine with just a touch of residual effervescence. The refreshing grapefruit and mineral notes found in the white Ameztoi are supplemented here with a slight note of wild strawberry. We have just a few cases of this wine so act now if you wish to try it for yourself. $18.99

Gurrutxaga Rosado 2007 Following on the success of Ameztoi Rubentis, DeMaison Imports has brought yet another rosado Txakoli to our shores. Gurrutxaga Rosado is made in the little coastal village of Mendexa in the heart of the basque lands. This wine is made from 100% Hondarribi Beltza, the traditional red grape of this region. Aromas of wet limestone punctuated by bright flavors of grapefruit and tannic grape skin remind me of traditional white Txakoli, here with the addition of intriguing pale pink color and the aroma of unripe strawberry. $18.99

Avinyó Vi D’Agulla 2007 Another DeMaison import (their ship recently came in… literally) is this new vintage of refreshing, spritzy white wine from the makers of Avinyó Cava. Made in the Penedès region of Catalunya, this summertime thirst quencher is composed of Petit Grain Muscat, fermented to dryness and bottled with a bit of residual effervescence. The rich Muscat scent is present here but the sweetness usually associated with this grape is only barely perceived. In its place is tart citrusy fruit character and background flintiness. $14.99

Quinta Da Aveleda Vinho Verde 2007 We just received the new vintage Vinho Verde from Aveleda in Portugal. Most Vinho Verde is non-vintage but this wine is produced each year from a blend of traditional grapes (Alvarinho, Loureiro and Trajadura) from the best parcels of Aveleda’s estate vineyards. This finely tuned Vinho Verde displays fresh citrus and light floral aromas along with bright fruit character and the spritzy effervescence that is typical of wines from this region. $8.99

Quinta da Cabriz Branco 2007 If you have wanted to try white Portuguese wines beyond Vinho Verde, this white Dão region wine will be a real treat. Quinta da Cabriz makes some excellent and well priced red wines, but their white wine is only now making it to our part of the world. Composed of 40% Encruzado, 20% Malvasia, 20% Cerceal and 20% Bical, this unoaked blend of typical Portuguese grapes is fresh and delicate with moderate acidity and white peach fruit character. $10.99

I am planning some fun for the weekend in Shanghai as we have not done too much since i arrived, and just concentrated on setting things up and keeping things simple. There are obviously plenty of things to do in Shanghai so it doesnt take much work to plan a couple of things. I am little skint after buying the Wii last week so the following seem suitable.

Moganshan Road Art District

"...If you'd like to see what's happening on the contemporary art scene in China, take a taxi to Moganshan Road near Suzhou Creek. Once just factories and warehouses, the area is now a thriving art colony full of galleries of all sizes. There's a café near the entrance to the lane where you can have a nice coffee once you've seen the scene..."

French Concession Walking Tour

"...The French Concession is a lovely part of Shanghai because, despite the fact that you're in the heart of a city with a population exceeding seventeen million, it feels like you're just in a local neighborhood. The French imported plane trees in the early 1900s and these trees still line both sides of every street in the area. These days, old villas and lane houses are being renovated and turned into lovely shops and homes. It's fun to wander the less-congested streets and watch oldies chatting on the sidewalks and vendors market their wares..."

My inspiration was this website http://gochina.about.com/od/whattoseeinshanghai/tp/Top10SHwkd.htm. After these on Saturday daytime we will then go to a British pub in the evening where i plan on "unwinding". Ruby isn't much of a drinker though, so i dont expect it will get too messy. But after 3 weeks here it is about time i had a good session.

I am certainly still hoping to go to the Olympics in beach city Qingdao (where they make Tsingtao beer) next month. See photos of Qingdao below. But it might be expensive on my current wage. I thought it was quite near Shanghai, but the train trip is ten hours which im not really up for, we'll be flying! It is nicknamed the "city of beer" due to previous German roots and with the Chinese Olympics on, could be a great 30th if i can organise it with Ruby.

[gallery]

Ooooh, and finally a little shout out to Mr Carpen who has set up his own blog here, discovering all things Music - ooh, he's such a Music Snob!

On a different note i am pleased to have learnt the word for takeaway now. I am not really one for eating in a restaurant by myself in the week whilst Ruby is in Ningbo so prefer to eat at home. I can now avoid pointing madly at my flat from local restaurants and get them on with cooking my dinner without any confusion.

JUST as we're mastering an explanation of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and its importance to press releases for our clients, an email is forwarded, touting the virtues of DAO, digital asset optimization, as one of the niftiest twists in the Web 2.0 evolution.

In breathless text and two--count 'em!--videos, DAO is championed as the key strategy for achieving "effective visibility across multiple platforms" for press release videos, graphics and other digital assets.

So does DAO make SEO seem DOA? Just ask your BW AE for the DL on EON and SNR and find out ASAP!

If you're getting indigestion from this overdose of alphabet soup, you're not alone. Even those of us who make a living trying to keep up are getting nauseous. Seems like at least once a month, Web 2.0 pontificators invent a new acronym to hang their hats on. Uh...didn't we just go through this with the SMPR?

Just this week, a blog post at Video Insider introduced a grand new acronym for our collection: the iGRP, Internet Gross Rating Point. Blogger Todd Sacerdoti introduces a new method of measuring online video viewership.

Will iGRP catch on? How about DAO? Only time will tell. In the meantime, confusion reigns as we sift through the jargon.

Staking out a new acronym doesn't automatically imbue its letters with meaning. Well, maybe if you're Steven Colbert. Colbert, star of the Colbert Report, shown most weeknights on Comedy Central, champions truthiness, the modern notion that just because you say or believe something, that makes it true.

The rest of us have to let our acronyms play out. Sometimes they stick and assume real meaning. More often, they fade into the rear view mirror.

Business Wire has been doing digital asset optimization since 1998 when we introduced our Smart News Release (we even earned an acronym: SNR). To see how we optimize digital assets, check out our news with multimedia. And for a free education in text optimization, watch our archived webcasts on how to be an SEO hero.

He goes by many names. Commonly known as Ji Gong (Chee Gong), Dao Ji(Daoji) and Ji Gong Huo Fuo. Also; Master Ji, Rinpoche Ji Gong, Li Xiuyuan, Hu Yin (Recluse from the Lake) and Elder Fang Yuan (Square Circle) and colloquially; The Mad Monk, The Drunk Monk and The Crazy Monk.

Ji Gong, along with Chi Yeh, Ba Yeh, Ba Jia Jiang, San Tai Tz etc. are certainly the most commonly seen figures in marching troupes during street parades and festivals here in Taiwan. Ji Gong is also one of the better known and understood gods by the general populace due to the popular TV series Ji Gong. Surprisingly there is very little English literature about him. In my three main Taiwanese folk religion references (one is English, two are Chinese) he is only mentioned in one, and then only in passing. Apparently the most influential work about Jigong is the 評演濟公傳(1898-1900)Pingyan Jigong Chuan, which has Ji Gong helping the poor and righting wrongs; much like a magical Chinese Robin Hood who is a martial arts master. When I asked about Ji Gong at a Taoist temple, I was told he was a Buddhist god, at a Buddhist temple on the same day I was told he was a Taoist figure. This follows Taiwanese folk religion in general, but it seems Ji Gong's place in the pantheon is more murky than most.

Belying his popularity amongst Taiwanese, Ji Gong ranks only as a minor deity in the Chinese god pantheon. Ji Gong(1130-1209), was born a mortal, Li Xiu Yuan, to parents who were unable to have children yet, obviously, had one anyway. It is said that upon his birth in a temple, a statue of Mahakasyapa fell off its throne, signifying that the luohan had descended to earth. After his parents death he entered the monastic life in the Ling Yin Temple in Hangzhou. Differing from other monks, Li Xiu Yuan ate meat, drank wine and basically spurned the vinaya (traditonal code for monastics). For this and other eccentric behaviour, Li Xiu Yuan was expelled from the monastery.

For the remainder of his life, Li Xiu Yuan wandered from village to village in the coastal parts of Zhejiang 浙江 helping people. Through his good deeds, compassion and continued cultivation of Buddhism he gained magic powers. He died at the Jing Ci monastery on May 14th (solar-17 June 1207. Not long after his death, Ji gong was deified in Taoism and later recognized in Buddhism.

Some other interesting things about Ji Gong is his ties to the boxers, Taiwanese spirit-writing, spirit-possesion and spirit painting. As well as gambling. I am planning a Ji Gong temple trip around KHH and Tainan counties with a friend to find out more about this colorful fellow.

No post anterior criamos as classes e os mapeamento O/R do Hibernate.

Camadas possui:

NHibernateHelper - (Regisoft.

Ela me permite abstrair da problemática do Hibernate.

Clique aqui e baixe a bliblioteca.

Neste vamos repetir o processo utilizando dois scripts: DAO Class for Nhibernate.csgen e DAO Interface for Nhibernate.csgen.

Gerando as interfaces e os DAO´s

Abra o MyGeneration, efetue as confiurações necessárias se for o caso, abra, primeiramente, o script das interfaces:DAO Interface for Nhibernate.csgen.

Agora abra no MyGeneration o segundo script - DAO Class for Nhibernate.csgen.

No Visual Studio

Selecione o projeto.

Selecione a aba Browse e localize as bibliotecas Regisoft.Camadas.dll, Regisoft.dll e Regisoft.Camadas.Interface.dll no local onde foi descompactada. Selecione-as e clique em Ok.

Proejto AgendaTelefonica. Selecione a aba Browse e localize as bibliotecas Regisoft.dll e Regisoft.Camadas.

Abra primeiro o arquivo CidadeDAO.cs.

Abra agora o arquivo DAOFactory.cs.

Estamos abertos a dúvidas e sugestões.

Criar a solução...

Agora vamos adicionar projetos a nossa solução. Vamos adicionar inicialmente 4 projetos:

AgendaTelefonica.OR - Para acomodar os objetos de transferência de dados (DTO´s). Neste projeto iremos adicionar as classe e os arquivos de mapeamento do NHibernate com o banco de dados;

AgendaTelefonica. Internamente haverá duas pastas, DAO e BO, que acomodará as interfaces respectivas.

AgenteTelefonica.DAO - Para acomodar os DAO´s;

Antes do próximo passo precisamos lembrar alguns conceitos.

Em AgendaTelefonica.Interface adicionamos referência a AgendaTelefonica.OR;

Em AgendaTelefonica.DAO adicionamos referência a AgendaTelefonica.OR e AgendaTelefonica.Interface;

Em AgendaTelefonica.BO Adicionamos referência a AgendaTelefonica.OR, AgendaTelefonica.Interface e AgendaTelefonica.DAO;

Detalhe: adicione somente no DAO.

A Modelagem
