STAR POWER -

Bloc gots the JUICE! Their agents don't seek the spotlight, but they're major players in the dance scene. Truth be told, their roster of choreographers and oh so fine dancers gets them over. The hot thing about the agency is that they rep Choreographers, Dancers, and Extreme Sports. They're located in 3 cities (sorry Clear, they have one up on you!) Los Angeles, New York, and The ATL. The agency is ran by Canada's finest brother and sister duo, Brendan and Lacey Filuk.

NUMBER OF CLIENTS -

Again, mama could not get her contact to give me an exact number, but the contact did state that Bloc has around 400 dancers on its roster, making it one of the largest agencies in client roster. (Of course most of them aren't working)!

CHOREOGRAPHERS ON ROSTER -

This is where BLOC pulls up. Listen to this client list: BRIAN FRIEDMAN, FATIMA, RICHMOND AND TONE, MICHAEL ROONEY, MICHELLE JOHNSTON, Ms. Janet Jackson girl/boy friend GIL, MARTY "Same Steps" KUDELKA, & up and comer TYCE DIORIO! - G*D DA*M that's an all-star cast!

YEARS IN SERVICE -

The agents at BLOC have been in the business the LEAST amount of years (compared with the other 2 agencies), however, they have had much success especially with Hip-Hop. The big drawback is that their roster of choreographers minus Micheal Rooney, Michelle Johnston, and Brian Friedman, can only do Hip-Hop. This is why they rank 2nd on my list.

NUMBER OF BOOKINGS -

The delicious group of young dancers book consistently, and they're not afraid to tell you about it. Check out their home page which shows all the latest bookings by their clients. The big faux-pau is that their Choreographers don't book the huge movies that the number 1 agency does....

OVERALL -

Great agency. They have the market cornered in the area of hip-hop. Their choreographer list is MUCH stronger than CTG. But the agency is toooo nichey, and doesn't have the power to book high budget films like the #1 dance agency. 4 out of 5 twists!

"OMG, He's a man for God's sake! He's not supposed to do that !" . How often have we heard people say like that? We were brought up with certain expectations about being a guy. Is it hard to become a man?

In our society, there are other things men should not do simply because they are man, for example , men should not do "women's jobs". What would happen if men did these jobs? well , perhaps people might think that those man were less manly of that these must be "something wrong" with them. Thats why people frown upon men working as a secretary, kindergarten teacher, make-up artist,hairstylist, midwife (or midhusband ? :D ), or dancer.

Facts have shown that some men have penetrated the world of women and have some because well-known for their work. Some people can accept this phenomenon, but some others can't. Some people still look down on men who work as a secretary, make-up artist or hairstylist . So guys what makes you a men?

Charles shows up half way through as Russell Gray, a more "suitable" suitor for Lois. This is the second film of 1934 featuring both Charles and Jean Muir. The other was "Gentlemen Are Born." Much like in that film, Charles is young, rich and charming. He's comfortable smoking and drinking in a tuxedo, dances with great confidence, and kisses Lois in a cab. There's a long scene where Lois and her mother talk about how charming and nice and well-bred he is. And what a great kisser. Soon they are engaged.

It's interesting how effortlessy Charles plays the desirable lover in these early films. And yet, in the Westerns, it's never really convincing. Over the years, the love stories get smaller and smaller, then they give them to the second male lead with Charley as the sometimes unknowing and often disinterested rival, and finally they just give up all together. A number of his later films don't even have a single woman in them.

I think part of the problem is the good guy western star thing. It's a strange machismo that Charley embodies. He's good with a punch and gun, can talk tough, but he's got the white hat and the ready smile too. Something about this didn't allow room for the lover. At least, Charley never seemed to find it in these roles.

I don't think I've nailed this thought. I'll have to come back to it. Stay tuned!

A stripper who danced on the poles of Santiago subway trains to challenge the prudishness of Chilean society has been arrested during one of her lightning performances.

Monserrat Morilles, 26, surprised subway riders all week stripping to skimpy underwear, but she refused tips.

She said she was protesting a lack of tolerance in Chile, one of Latin America's most conservative societies where the first generation since the Pinochet dictatorship is reaching adulthood.

"This is just a beginning. We are starting an idea here that will grow and be developed further," she told Reuters as police and subway guards surrounded her.
