Here's an odd one two punch of DVD watching.

Both movies are very long but very good.

Man on Fire is about a drunken bodyguard who becomes obsessed with getting revenge on the people who kidnapped his young client. Denzel Washington is solid bad ass, Chris Walken is his Chris Walkenist, Dakota Fanning is eerily perfect and Marc Anthony looks like he stepped out of one of theose Rankin and Bass Christmas specials. Cool flick - I refuse to ruin any of the plot.

Into the Wild is about a young college grad who drops out of society and travels to Alaska to "find himself and the meaning of true happiness." It stars that kid who plays Speed Racer, William Hurt, somebody else I sort of recognized and Hal Holbrook as the "old guy". It's long. I liked it. Check it out.

As much as I enjoyed both films I think they would work better as ONE incredibly long movie about a drunken bodyguard who gets lost in Alaska while trying to hunt down the society drop out who kidnapped his college student client and taught him the true meaning of happiness.

THAT WOULD BE A MOVIE !

Ya listening HOLLYWOOD?

Director Paul McGuigan has had something of a patchy history from the "classy" likes of Gangster Number One to the rancid remake of Wicker Park to the messy but watchable Lucky Number Slevin. His next entry is a big budget action sci-fi thriller called Push, with a pretty good cast featuring the likes of Camille Belle (see above) last seen wearing mammoth fur pj's in 10,000 BC, the not un-handsome Chris Evans from Sunshine, still recovering from Charlotte's Web Dakota Fanning and the always dependable Djimon Hounsou who was last giving Never Back Down some dramatic gravitas.

Here is the plot synopsis of Push: The action packed sci-fi thriller involves a group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency. They must utilize their different talents and band together for a final job enabling them to escape the agency forever.

On a sidenote, here is the plot synopsis of popular t.v. show Heroes: The action packed sci-fi drama involves a group of young American and International people with telekinetic, clairvoyant and other abilities, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency. They must utilize their different talents and band together to enable them to escape the agency and beat the bad guys forever.

I worried that the link between Push and Heroes was too subtle to be followed properly, but I'm sure with perserverence it'll all sink in eventually.

Actress Christie Campagna has been waiting for her big break. Although she has appeared with Brad Pitt in the original Oceans 11, and had a small roll in Scorpion King with The Rock, she is still waiting for the perfect hollywood leading lady role. Who would have guessed that it would be her 6 month old baby Riley that would be following in his moms footsteps? " He can finally start paying me back for diapers" Jokes Campagna on his recent guest roll on the Sarah Silverman show. Sarah also cast Christie's daughter Bailey to star as none other then Sarah Silvermans own daugther on her hit comedy sitcom. Talk about a family blessed with star quality! Daughter Bailey Campagna is represented by the Osbrink Agency, the same agency that represents child stars such as Dakota Fanning. While pregnant with her mini celebs, Christie was represented by the modeling agency Expecting Models, that has represented a range of celebrity baby bumps like Ali Landry and Kristen Holly. http://www.expectingmodels.com/

I have the honor to be able to photograph the Campagna family on a regular basis. The thing about being a child star, is you need a new head shot every month!

Have you ever seen the movie Uptown Girls? It’s a cute movie staring Dakota Fanning and Britta

Have you ever seen the movie Uptown Girls? It's a cute movie staring Dakota Fanning and Brittany Murphy. In the movie, Murphy is hired as Fanning's nanny because, as so many uptown families, the parents don't actually raise their children. Fanning's character basically receives anything and everything she wants from her mother, except for love and attention that is. The trailer for the movie is below. It's cute. I like cute.

My question is, do the privileged get "spoiled" due to the lack of love or do they deserve it (as a compensation prize)? Should we feel sorry or envious? My father recently extended an AmEx invitation for my seasonal fashion splurge (I'm a good girl, I usually wait for my invitation - to build a good rep for future misdemeanors) and obviously I thanked him, but deep inside I've been waiting for this all June. Is that so wrong?

It’s a rare case when we get a movie that was more interesting than the book it was based off

It's a rare case when we get a movie that was more interesting than the book it was based off of, but that's exactly what we got with...

Denzel Washington is a washed-up soldier. Dakota Fanning is the little girl that finally forces her way... into his heart. Along the way, lots of people get killed. Let's take a look!

1. Mexico City.

Maybe Mexico City doesn't belong on a list of things we love, because it's obviously the most dangerous city in the entire world (well, maybe behind Bahgdad. MAYBE.). You go outside, you get kidnapped. And probably have your ear cut off. After your parents are robbed of millions of dollars, you're dumped in your underwear off the Av Insurgentes Nte. Which obviously is pretty horrible. It's a pretty picture though.

2. Christopher Walken.

"Listen. Creasy. I live heah. In Mexico. I lihve. Like a king. Ovah heah. And. No. I hahve no ideah. If Gawd. Will fuhgive us. For waht. We've done. Heah. Hahve some ribs."

I love Christopher Walken. And what's not to love? This guy does nothing but hang out and barbecue.

3. Putting a punk in his place.

"I'm going to tear your family apart piece by piece! YOU UNDERSTAND ME?" Coolest line in the whole movie.

Maybe it's a good thing the picture is a little blurry. Good guys spend plenty of time getting knocked around by the bad guys, while we in the audience can do little more than cringe and wish it weren't so. Not in this movie. Creasy has a thing for tearing off people's fingers, whether it be with a knife, or a sawed-off shotgun, as with this poor bastard.

4. Sticking a bomb up someone's a**.

Not only did Creasy blow up the guy's motorcade with a bazooka, he strapped him to the hood of a car in his underwear with a bomb up his butt. And then, when he tried the whole, "Leesten Senior Creesy, I am jus' a profesional. I am sorry about 'de leedle gurl," Denzel roasted him. Fantastic.

5. Sacrificing yourself for the little girl.

He shot everybody's hands off, and still got Dakota Fanning back. Of course, he had to trade himself to save her, but she's worth it. And in the end, it didn't matter. He had already been shot and was half dead anyway. So, just when the bad guys think they're gonna go to work on him, they look, and he's slumped over in his seat. It's the ultimate f*** you! Linda Ronstadt's Blue Bayou plays us out.

That's all for this week. Until next time! Send suggestions to move.it.move@gmail.com.

Watch the Video Trailer here to get a good sense of the movie if you've never seen it!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ8K4_RrbJo

Hide and Seek is a movie that was released in 2205 starring Robert De Niro and Dakota Fanning. It is about a girl who seemingly does dark things with the help of her imaginary friend Charlie. It is not made clear till the end of the movie however, that Robert De Niro is Charlie, a man suffering from Split personality disorder. A very common misconception, one that I had as well, was that the little girl was the one with the illness. Maybe it is because the plot is vague up until the last few minutes, or that a respected man with a good job couldn't possibly have a mental illness. A young girl whose mother just died is a far more likely caniadate. being more familiar with stigmas than I was when I first saw the movie, I am able to catch all the underlying stigmas in the movie. De Niro's other personality, Charlie is a polar opposite: muderer, deviant, violent, malicious man. This is often the assumption of the disorder. Another underlying stigma I realized is the misconception between Schizophrenia and Split personality disorder. Many people with Schizophrenia are thought to have a split personality. Whenever I hear this movie brought up in conversation, it is always something along the lines of "Oh, is that the movie where Robert De Niro has Schizophrenia or something." Unconciously or not, people stigmatize Schizophrenia as a split personality disorder.

This movie further helps stigmatizing of metal illnesses to be a social norm. That is not to say this movie is bad or promotes stigmatizing. But De Niro's character is given a extreme and stereotypical version of someone with split personality disorder, which is often confused as Schizophrenia. Therefore, it exists as another media example some people may see and adapt the views from it into their lives.

So yo think your dreams have passed you by? You think that your chance at greatness was shot? Well have a look at my resume of masterful ideas that never were. The following are a list of the greatest ideas of the greatest mind of the greatest generation. A compilation of movie screen plays, books, tv shows and music that no company ever had the balls to allow production on.

Movies:

Kurt Cobrains- A documentary on the last 37 hours of Kurt's life. Leading up to his Grand Exit.

Kunta No Foot- Part two of roots. Alex Haley put the kibosh on production.

Bush's Black Babies- A history of all of GW Bush's illegitimate bi-racial kids. With a cameo by Conndi Rice.

Jackie Onasis Hendrix- The would be romance of Jackie O and Jimi Hendrix.

Only the North Tower- A confrontation between Bush and Osama pushing the limits of a friendship.

No Country for Broke Back- Pretty much the guy from No Country killing gays in the mountains of the west.

Books:

I did it my way- OJ's autobiography.

I did it- An admission by OJ.

It took me forever to clean the blood up- A detailed description of the murder of OJ's ex.

I helped him out- The guidlines OJ gave Robert Blake.

How to pee and stay free- A do it yourself book by Robert Kelly (R. Kelly).

They never found my prints- The secret of how Michael Jackson's taped fingers kept him out of jail.

Washed up at 8- Dakota Fannings unauthorized autobiography.

TV:

Prime Time Toilet- A hidden camera reality show. (Privacy laws put show on hiatus)

To Save a Life- People put in real life saving situations by our producers for ratings.

Your Child or the Money- A gameshow where price tags are placed on a parents love.

Say Your Prayers- A prank show where people are kidnapped at gun point and told to pray before they die.

Music:

The Crotch Hair Combover- 3 of the 4 band members caught on To catch a predator. Convictions pending.

Hoe Slappin'- Arrested on first day of recording for domestic violence. Jason Kidd was the financial backer.

Nine Down- A duet with Travis Henry. All money was tied up in paternity test kits.

So the next time you think your idea is super , just remember, Those body gaurds around the executive types hit really hard. So you'll only be able to get out an idea or two before you're knocked unconscience and wake up in a field on the outskirts of Vegas.

'Moving Mountains' continues where 'Love In The Club' ended. The video reminds me of the 'War of the Worlds' movie with Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning. Although, I dig the cinematography. Something about this song/video I cannot get into. I wanna say the song is too damn dramatic, but everyone KNOWS I love the dramatic R&B ballads. Maybe this song will grow on me, but I've had the mp3 for quite a few months and was never feeling it. I'm sure radio will rape this track though. Usher's album Here I Stand will be released next Tuesday.
