I don't know if using the information from Wooten's personnel file is legal or not, but it certainly doesn't seem to be something an ethical reformer would do.

My mom only had one eye. I hated her... She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.

There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed.

How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, 'EEEE, your mom only has one eye!'

I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, ' If you're only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?'

My mom did not respond... I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings.

I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.

Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts. Then one day, my Mother came to visit me. She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, 'How dare you come to my house and scare my children!' GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!'

And to this, my mother quietly answered, 'Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,' and she disappeared out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

'My dearest son,

I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.

I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gave you mine.

I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,

Your mother.

The Federal district court was entitled by law to dismiss the complaint on the belief that the court

The Federal district court was entitled by law to dismiss the complaint on the belief that the court did not have personal jurisdiction over the party. Farber was 'doing business' in Colorado and effective service of original process was made and thereby vested the court with jurisdiction over the defendant. A Farber salesman who operated exclusively within Colorado regularly sought orders from the company's twelve beer distributors, and inspected 'hundreds' of available sites where Farber beer was consumed.

Farber drivers made deliveries in the district each week using trucks leased by the company. The total value of these deliveries in 2007 exceeded US $52,000,000. Farber had subjected itself to the jurisdiction of the Colorado courts. The applicable rules of procedure authorize out-of-state service on an officer of such corporations. Here, Farber’s CEO was personally served at company headquarters. The district court thereby acquired personal jurisdiction over the corporation.

After like a million years (ok im exagerating its more like 6 months) I finally went ice skating again!
(:
It was dead boring today since Chris didn't go.
It's the school holidays but where are all the people?
All the pros (as in those guys and a few girls who skates really really fast) were no where to be seen.
I was so bored cause there was no one to skate with me.
Sam was practically chipping ice/walking on ice, Jia Yu was not in the mood to skate and Ying Xuan was just not fast enough.
I mean paying $15 I have to at least burn some calories right?
It would be a waste to pay that much and skate as slow as a snail right?

After skating went to watch Wall.E.
Oh gosh a total waste of $7!
"Wall-E and Eve" was pretty much 3/4 of the total words spoken.
It was just Wall-E, Eve, Wall-E, Eve, Captain, Wall-E, Eve, Wall-E, Earth....
There was a pretty decent storyline but it was SOOOOO uber boring!
I was gonna fall asleep!
This is a movie that I would never ever ever watch again.

Oh before I forget.
The customer service at Jurong East Entertainment Center's Pizza Hut SUCKS!
We sat at a table for a good 10 minutes and no one even bothered to give us a menu.
They also did not bother to wipe the tables clean.
Talk about HORRIBLE customer service.
Oh and when I asked one of the waitresses a question she just shrugged me off.
URGH!
I was so hungry and pissed I just walked right out.
It's fine I don't want to waste my money on that kind of place.

So even though I did quite a number of things today it was overall a BORING day.
And of all days my camera's wire decided to die on me.
URGH!

On a happier note, my third aunt came back to Singapore to visit!
She arrived in Singapore early this morning from JAPAN!
She brought back Japanese curry(i've been having a crazy craving for this for the past few weeks and its so crazily expensive in Singapore!), the lovely lovely lovely Japanese soy sauce and some other food stuff for me!
Once I lay my hands on those stuff I'm gonna stuff myself silly.
HAHAHAHA!
Oh I miss Japan.
And I haven't been to their new house. Hmmph!
Soon Angelina soon.
Make more money and make it work (haha too much project runway).

xo.

College has been fun, but I'll take a diploma now.

I'm already sick of class and it's the second day. It's not boring or anything, I just really hate learning.

P.S. Just kidding. My classes are actually kind of fantastic, especially Russian. My professors seem like cool people. I just have a really, REALLY annoying alarm clock that basically ensures that I start every day pissed off.

P.P.S. MARCHING BAND.

Okay, that's all.

SIDE NOTE.

I made a large cardboard robocactus two days ago. His name is Hector. And now, our entire room smells like rabbit shit. The sour, gross kind. (Believe me, I am a connoisseur of animal poop. Observing it was my job, and it was never one to be taken lightly.)

SINCE WHEN DOES CARDBOARD DO THAT? EVEN FEBREEZE WILL NOT REMOVE THE ODOR. DAMN.

Hector is jammed in my window, proudly displayed to the North Quad, to air him out a little bit. If the smell doesn't dissipate, I'm afraid he'll have to be done away with. That would make me so sad; he's like my child. If I have to get rid of him, I'll never create with cardboard again; I don't think my fragile heart could take another beating like that.

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY.

IS THE SMELL OF ANIMAL SHIT REALLY GOING TO FOLLOW ME AROUND FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?

No one will ever marry me. Except maybe someone nasally-impaired. Like that man who was mauled by a bear and lost half of his face! I should call him.

Here is where it gets interesting. It is obvious from the sign that the rule exists for later in the day when the gym is packed with people. But when I workout at 6 a.m. it is usually just me and one other person. However, the gym is staffed by a bunch of college kids who think the rules must be rigidly enforced. It just happened that the guy working the gym that morning wasn't very confrontational and decided to take an annoying approach by walking into the weight room and reading the sign and then looking at me- he repeated this several times.

So, it might turn out that I will have to add the assisted dead-lift (assisted because it is a few pin lengths off the ground) to handstand push-ups as prohibited in the weight room. This is a bit ridiculous. Any clown can risk their spine doing 600lb squats, but I can't do a dead-lift on the power rack.

Public Order officer warns ministry chairman to be ‘careful of your life.’
JAKARTA, September 3

Public Order officer warns ministry chairman to be ‘careful of your life.’

JAKARTA, September 3 (Compass Direct News) – A land dispute led to two attacks on the headquarters of the Indonesian Christian Students’ Movement (GMKI) and its parent ministry, the Alliance of Indonesian Churches (PGI), last week (August 26 and 28).

Sources said an illegal land deal in Jakarta has created the bitter dispute between the GMKI and a private company that claims it has the legal right to build on land previously occupied by GMKI.

GMKI and PGI share an office on the disputed land. Sources said that on August 26 volunteer Public Order officials – who normally mediate local disputes, but who in this case have sided with the private company laying claim to the land, Kencana Indotama Persada Co. (KIP) – threw stones at the Christian organizations’ offices and damaged doors, windows and student motorbikes.

On Thursday (Aug. 28), according to sources, the Public Order officers again attacked the premises, this time using heavy implements to break glass panes and damage other property. Students present fled to a nearby office of the Indonesia Bible Institute (LAI). Policemen standing nearby on the street made no attempt to intervene.

Mysterious Appropriation

The disputed property is a large piece of land originally granted by the Dutch colonial government to the Vereneging Christian School (VCS) Foundation. The VCS then gave the land to the Christian School Association, which in turn passed it on to a branch of its own association, the Christian Education Foundation (YBPK).

Although occupied by many Christian ministries and associations, including the Christian University of Indonesia and LAI, sources said the land belonged to YBPK.

Under the terms of the land grant, the land could not legally be sold to business entities, according to GMKI lawyer Nikson Lalu. In August 2006, however, a board member of YBPK, acting independently of the board, sold a small plot of land to KIP. An old office belonging to GMKI was still standing on the plot of land, adjacent to a newer building shared by GMKI and PGI.

Compass sources noted that a gas station and business offices had replaced other ministry offices on the granted land. It was not clear, however, how the businesses had appropriated the land from YBPK.

Dispute Escalates

Sources said that on August 23, at around 5 p.m., Public Order officer Simanjuntak, who has only a single name, visited the GMKI office and informed staff members that a boundary wall would be built between their current building and the old building, which was now considered the property of KIP.

KIP then erected a boundary wall between the two buildings, sources said, and KIP construction workers also used a bulldozer to partially demolish the old GMKI office despite protests from GMKI Chairman Charles Hutahaean. On August 26, GMKI students demolished the boundary wall that KIP had erected.

GMKI had filed a complaint against KIP in the district court, according to sources, but the court ruled in favor of KIP. GMKI’s lawyer then took the case to the Supreme Court, which at press time had yet to announce a decision.

Sources said that KIP claimed it had a previous letter of decision from the Supreme Court stating that KIP was the owner of the disputed land, despite the fact that the land could not legally be sold to a business enterprise.

A day before the first attack, Public Order officers had a confrontation with GMKI students. On August 25, Public Order officers noted that GMKI students had erected a banner inside their own boundary fence, facing the street, protesting against a new bylaw forbidding the sale of fruit, cigarettes and other goods by street vendors in the area.

When officers tried to remove the banner, according to sources, the students protested, claiming that since the banner was on their own property, they did not require a permit from the district office to display it.

Attacks, Threat

At around 4 p.m. on August 26, a large group of Public Order officers returned to the shared GMKI and PGI premises and began to throw stones at the building, breaking glass window and door panes and damaging motorbikes owned by GMKI students.

Sources said the students threw stones back at the officers, who then scaled the fence and tried to break into the PGI building itself; a PGI security guard managed to stop them.

The following day, Jakarta Vice-Governor Prijanto, who has only a single name, met with PGI Chairman Andreas Yewangoe and other PGI leaders. He apologized for the disturbance and promised compensation for the damaged property.

Additionally, Engkartiasto Lukito of the Golkar party and Ara Sirait of the Indonesian Democratic Struggle Party (PdiP) came to offer condolences, as did Hasyim Muzadi, leader of Nahdatul Ulama, the largest Muslim organization in Indonesia.

Nevertheless, on Thursday (Aug. 28), Public Order officers returned to carry out the second attack.

A Public Order officer involved in the dispute also warned GMKI Chairman Hutahaean to be “careful with your life.”

Compass sources explained that Public Order officers would likely benefit financially from protecting the business interests of KIP.

KIP construction workers on Friday (August 29) erected a sign on the disputed plot of land adjacent to the GMKI and PGI building, declaring that the land belonged to KIP.

This weekend I was starting to get calls regarding the delinquency--the lofty amount of $8 USD--of my XM Radio account. Apparently Ann had forgotten to send the full amount or something.

At any rate, it pissed me off. I'd been a loyal customer for years and now they want to start pegging me for a measly $8? Not only that, I had once called their so-called Customer Care line to pay for a year of service on two radios and they couldn't even come up with the total. Evidently they don't have calculators in India or Pakistan or wherever XM outsources this work. (I so wanted to ask them what they thought about the new Metallica channel and if they were going to buy the Death Magnetic when it came out.)

So in order to take care of my debt, I called their Customer Care line and waited for my options.

I was disconnected after speaking with one person that didn't even handle my issue properly.

And the language barrier is always fun when you call them but at the same time, frustrating as Hell when you can't make them understand what you want.

And that was part of my problem. For all the joy my XM Radio brings you, one call to their Customer Care line is enough to make you want to forget you ever had the service.

But this time I was on a mission: because they were after me for those stinking $8 when they weren't eager enough to determine one year of service on two radios, I was going to cancel all four of my XM Radio accounts and just do without. That was really going to show them. Yeah, it was.

By Tuesday night I was online activating two of the four radios I had canceled on Friday night.

Face it, people. Terrestrial radio sucks ass--major ass. I mean, mondo-huge amounts of hairy ass. There's so much garbage on it that the last time I listened to it on a regular basis was when I was using an empty FM frequency to transmit the XM signal to my car stereo (before I had a car with an auxiliary input). I had grown so accustomed to everything XM had to offer that living without it would be very difficult, especially when I had two unused receivers sitting around the house.

Besides, Anthony missed his XM Kids on Channel 116. (Note: SIRIUS' KidStuff sucks. They only have something like 20 songs in their library and half of them are Dan Zanes.)

XM has had me and they still do. So I sucked it up and admitted defeat, but not before I went online and looked up a code for free activation and my first 3 months of service free of charge. Where's your $8 now, huh?!

I'm once again proud to be part of the XM Nation and to pay for quality content, merger or not.

I just hope I never have to call them again for anything.

On appeal the court held that under the law, the statute required that for any lawsuit based on a medical malpractice claim to be brought in the Federal District Court of Rhode Island, the plaintiff must submit the claim to the Malpractice Review Committee first. Bryant’s complaint before the Committee did not include a claim for malpractice involving the tonsillectomy performed on the plaintiff. The court held that the claim was beyond the subject matter jurisdiction of the district court. Doctor Stevens argued that the district court had made the same error that warranted reversal in Del Monte.

Bryant's complaint before the review board was identical to the complaint he had filed with the federal district trial court. The statute requires that the plaintiff’s complaint be filed with the district court as well as with the Committee. Bryant complied with that instruction and is therefore entitled to relief.

My husband purchased a Dell laptap about a year ago. Friday night I went to turn it on and it was dead. My husband had just used it 10 minutes prior. Of course my husband Googled Dell's technical support telephone number and gave them a call. He explained the problem indicating that he believed the trouble was hardware related. They told him that for $49.99 they could transfer him to a technical support person who would be able to identify the problem and where to go from there. So my husband grabbed his credit card and paid the $49.99 even though his instinct told him that tech support would not be able to solve the problem. He should have gone with his first instinct. After paying the fee, the gentleman (in India) told my husband he would now be transferring him to tech support. Well, that call was disconnected somewhere on their end. My husband called again, and again he was transferred and disconnected. The third time he was transferred, the call went through and the tech support office had a lovely message stating they were closed. Again my husband was forced to call Dell. He was given another number to call the next day for a refund.

Yesterday (Monday), in order to save my husband the trouble I called Dell and attempted to collect our refund. The first time I called I was transferred 5 maybe 6 times and was never transferred to the correct department. The second time I was again transferred about 5 times and when I finally reached Customer Care I was told their system was down and to call back in 3 hours (by that time I was furious). I decided to wait and the following day I called again. I thought for sure this would be it and we would be done with Dell's outsourced customer service. I was wrong. I called and went through the whole being transferred to the wrong department about a zillion times and was told again that their systems were down and to call back in 3 hours. By this time I was completely insane with anger.

So, again I waited until the next day. This time however, when I reached the first "customer care" individual I demanded to be transferred to the correct department. The gentleman transferred me and I spoke to another man who told me "customer care" could not help me; I had to contact Dell's Technical Support office. My head exploded when the guy told me this. It truly did. Are you kidding me??? So, I resolutely asked the fella to transfer me to " Tech Support". OH MY GOD!

When I reached Tech Support. The gentleman there explained that Dell doesn't give Tech Support refunds and that my husband was told this when he called initially. WRONG. They said nothing of the sort and didn't seem to have any trouble charging my husband $49.99 when there was no support tech to assist him. Anyway, I said some angry something or other about finding a lawyer and bit of other nonsense. The guy kindly asked me to hold. When he returned he told me not to worry. It would be taken care of and so on.

The end result is we finally received our refund. It took a lot of time and A LOT of energy. I havn't been that angry since I don't know when. It really did seem like a scam and I really had to fight for that $49.99. The moral of my story is don't do business with DELL unless you absolutely have to.

I sometimes become so tired of the constant commentary of my co-workers. It seems that I am constantly subjected to their feelings, thoughts and annoyances. Here's what I would like to tell them:

I realize that we work closely in this cube jungle, but that does not mean that you need to announce to everyone when your stomach hurts, when you're tired or when you think it's "so chilly" in the office today. What should I do with this information? I can give you some Pepto, refer you to a Redbull or advise you to bring a light jacket with you to work, but that's about it. And frankly, I don't really want to have to do any of these things. I would just prefer that you put a hush on the constant commentary and instead save it for your journal, your supposed "friends" you speak of or your spouse. Why should I have to suffer through listening to your constant babbling, I didn't choose to work with you. Save it for someone who chooses to be around you and not those who are merely paid to be near you.

Information that I wish my co-workers would stop sharing with me:

Obviously to beat the crap out of this little schmuck kid.

So, I still only have a dial up connection at home for now. It's not so bad, but not really a good enough connection to use when posting on my blog. But I figure I can still try to post from work. I just need to look into getting a wireless connection. See, the wireless connection I used at home was 'borrowed', but it seems I now have to get my own (grumble, grumble). However, I haven't been really putting too much of an effort into it because I'm just lazy like that. Maybe if I didn't even have the dial up then I would work harder on it. Besides, I usually just check my email and do simple internet browsing when I'm at home so, I don't urgently need a quicker connection. So, I'll still be around, it'll just take me a while to get around to viewing everybody's blogs and commenting on them.

Oh yeah, and three day weekends are never long enough! Being at work today sucks. But, then again, being at work any day sucks! At least I'm about half way through my day. And I'll make an effort to post more this week.

The Talmud tells the story of Rebbi Yochanan, a great scholar who had a study partner named Reish La

The Talmud tells the story of Rebbi Yochanan, a great scholar who had a study partner named Reish Lakish. (Before becoming a rabbi, Reish Lakish was a bandit. But that's another story...) These two men studied together for many years, until one day Reish Lakish got sick and died. Rebbe Yochanan was seen walking in the street, totally depressed. His students asked him, "What's wrong?" He said, "My study partner died and now I have none." They told him, "Don't worry Rebbi, we'll take care of it." So they went and found a brilliant young man to study with Rebbe Yochanan.

Two weeks later, Rebbi Yochanan is seen walking in the street again, totally depressed. They asked: "Rebbi, what happened? Why are you so sad? We sent you the most brilliant study partner. What's the problem?"

He told them: "My new study partner is so brilliant that whatever I say, he brings 24 proofs that I'm correct. But when I studied with Reish Lakish, he showed me 24 proofs that I was wrong. That's what I miss. I don't want someone who will just agree with me; I want a partner who will challenge my position. In this way we will arrive at the truth together."

A good challenge - is that what friends are for? YES!

The Sages say: "Better the criticism of a friend, than the kiss of an enemy." Your friend will tell you when you have spinach stuck in your teeth; your enemy will smirk and say you look great!

The Torah speaks of Dikduk Chaverim, which literally means fine-tuning with friends. With this attitude, I see others not as adversaries, but as a welcome counterbalance to my own perspective. In choosing my friends, I want someone who will challenge me to become better in life, not just better on the tennis court.

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn't know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.

Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.

He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing.

After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.

He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. "Daughter, what do you see?"

"Potatoes, eggs, and coffee," she hastily replied.

"Look closer," he said, "and touch the potatoes." She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.

"Father, what does this mean?" she asked.

He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity-- the boiling water.

However, each one reacted differently.

The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became hard.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.

"Which are you," he asked his daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean? "

Moral:
In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is what happens within us.

Which one are you?

My friend, Cheryl Richardson, head of Oprah's coaching team, has helped me take a very practical approach to life. Good ideas stay in the realm of knowledge until they birth actions that affect our lives. When we act on them, they become wisdom. This month, reflect on the Dalai Lama's three points and then take action on at least one of them.

1. What one thing can you do that will make you a more peaceful person?

2. The average person needs 8 hours and 15 minutes sleep every night. If you are getting less, try sleeping more. This is wisdom, not sloth. If you have trouble sleeping, and one-third of all adult Americans do, try Harvard researcher Gregg D. Jacobs' excellent book, Say Good Night to Insomnia.

3. Identify one area in your life that is a persistent problem, and that you would like to solve but have given up on. It may concern a relationship, a work issue, or even something simple like wanting to exercise but not following through. What important vision would solving the problem fill? Give it another try from that perspective. You have inner resources that have yet to be tapped. Overcoming obstacles makes you stronger, and previous thwarted attempts to solve a problem can provide insight about what may be more likely to work.

Dear Mr. Corpuz,

My name is Jeffrey Hardy. I am the Owner Operator of the of the Outback Steakhouse in Wilton CT. I received you E-Mail and read about your experience at my restaurant.

I do hope for the chance to speak with you over the phone so that I may have a chance to apologize for poor sanitation standards you experienced at my restaurant. As a business owner I was also disappointed. I hope to invite you back to receive the dining experience we both expect and deserve. If you would respond to this E-Mail with a phone number that I could contact you, I will do my best to respond to your situation and resolve it.

In response: I sent the following:

Copy of the previously sent complaint has been faxed both to the Health Department of Wilton and to your fax number @ 203-762-0930. Correspondence has been sent through a third party fax service to confirm receipt. The same correspondence contains my telephone number.

I appreciate you invitation to dine in your restaurant. Yesterday could have been our perfect opportunity to be served the dinner, as you have said, we all expected and deserved, as I along with my friends have made preparation for it.

As a health care provider and a previous entrepreneur myself, I know how simple things like these can cause tremendous amount of trouble both to the business owner and the customers. I hope that you can resolve this issue before it goes beyond control.

If I may also add, the gentleman who I spoke to yesterday about the flys, said that your business has called an exterminator already to have this situation resolved. If it happened to be true, it only proves that either the extermination services provider you you have chosen and hired has failed you, or that your facilities have failed to implement the necessary actions to mantain a safe food providing environment and business establishment.

I do expect to receive from you written documentation of actions that you intend to take to resolve this issue and to avoid it from happening.

I still reserve my right to take legal action to get a fair and reasonable compensation for the your restaurant has caused me direct and indirect inconvenience, embarrassment, unnecessary expense, and disgust.

For the record:

I do not have any intent to sue Outback SteakHouse. I just want them to do something about this situation. As I have laid out on my letter, I want them to send me a documentation of their intended actions. :P

Over the years, I’ve come to look upon “Officially Sanctioned Government Holidays”

Over the years, I've come to look upon "Officially Sanctioned Government Holidays" with some degree of distrust. After a quick search of the Constitution for The United States, that document which defines, limits, binds, and (supposedly) constrains the US FedGov, I couldn't find mention of holidays. Be that as it may, it seems to me that the US FedGov has no place in defining "Officially Sanctioned Government Holidays".

Perusing the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the etymology of the word holiday is, of course, "Holy Day" from Old English. Now, it seems to me that the first ammendment of that document, the Constitution, that is supposed to define, limit, bins, and constrain the US FedGov explicitly states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, ..." Well, it seems blatantly obvious to me that the first amendment to the constitution strictly prohibits the congress from making laws that have anything to do with establishing any sort of religion. Furthermore, given that the constitution clearly indicates that it is not within the executive nor judicial branches to make laws of any sort, then the Constitution explicitly prohibits the FedGov from doing anything having anything to do with establishing a religion.

But since a holiday is, indeed, a "Holy Day", then it seems bloody freaking obvious to me that establishing a holiday, a "holy day", is clearly placing the FedGov in the establishing a religion territory.

Bah! The whole thing stinks to me. I know the FedGov has overstepped its boundaries back when George Washington was the president, and I'm sure that a great many people know the same, but are unable or unwilling to articulate such heresy.

I want nothing to do with "Officially Sanctioned Government Holidays" and have had nothing to do with them since about 1988. I try my best to go about my business, suffering the inconvenience of some businesses being closed for the damn fool reason that the FedGov decided that it was a Holy Day of the FedGov religion.

Well, everyone that may happen to stumble across this WebLog....

Happy First Monday of September 2008.

These are the Reasons for the Puma PAC Protest of the 2008 Election

The DNC punished the VOTERS of Florida and Michigan with DISENFRANCHISEMENT because of the actions of their elected officials. In Florida, Democratic VOTERS WERE DISENFRANCHISED because of the shenanigans of a REPUBLICAN legislature.

Florida and Michigan were penalized for violating DNC rules and were forwarned well ahead of time that this would be the result if the pushed their voting date up as they proposed. Not only the Republican legislature voted to do this but the Democratic legislature joined forced and told the DNC to kiss their rear. Our World our country, our states, our schools our families and just about every structure of organization has rules, without rules there is anarchy and without upholding rules there is no respector of rules. I find this complaint to be an absolute farst, it really insults a persons intelligence to argue that rules should not be enforced. Maybe one could make an arguement that the DNC issued to harsh a punishment, however, I can see an argument to support their decision.

The DNC CHANGED THE VOTES of 600,000 Michiganders on May 31, 2008 when it stole 4 pledged delegates from one candidate and re-pledged them to another.

Absolutely a Lie. In fact Michigan was not suppose to have a vote in the first place, these same puma folks that whined until the DNC compromised their initial ruling in order to allow Michigan and Florida to have some say since the primary was so close and we did not want a huge division in the party. In all honesty they should kept to their initial penalty for better or worse. Therefore truthfully speaking the DNC tried to find some form of fairness out of a completely unfair situation of bringing these two states back into the picture.

The Obama Movement PAID THE SUPERDELEGATES who endorsed Senator Obama. Crucial Super Delegates pledged their support to Obama after the Obama Movement contributed tens of thousands of dollars to them. These were Super Delegates whose constituents had voted overwhelmingly for Senator Clinton in the primaries.

I thought Obama was contributing to some house and senate relection campaigns. I am not convinced he was bribing anyone, however, if you can PROVE your case with quality documentation and witnesses/complaints of bribery...bring it.

The DNC ALLOWED SEXIST BIAS TO HANDICAP THE ONLY WOMAN IN THE RACE. When Tucker Carlson said that Hillary Clinton was a CASTRATOR, the DNC WAS SILENT. When Chris Matthews said that Bill Clinton’s INFIDELITY was the ONLY REASON for Hillary Clinton’s achievements, the DNC WAS SILENT. When the MEDIA CIRCUS unleashed a sexist onslaught of criticism against Senator Clinton regarding: her laugh, her cleavage, her pants, her wrinkles, her earrings, her “bitchiness,” her emotional “instability” the DNC WAS SILENT.

Perhaps, however during this time the DNC was doing its best not to get involved in the primary process seeing how close things were, they did not want to appear to be biased or supporting one side or the other lest they get completely blamed and become the target of the losing constituents...unfortunately that did not completely work out for them or I would not be here defending them and the other half of the party that believes our voice counts just as much as theirs.

The DNC and the Obama Movement SUPPRESSED THE VOTES OF CLINTON DELEGATES at the National Convention in Denver. On August 27th, 2008 the DNC and the Obama Movement maneuvered an undemocratic and underhanded voting script to ensure that Hillary Clinton’s pledged delegates (and the 18 million votes they represented) HAD NO VOTE. Entire state delegations were brow-beaten into voting Present or Passing their votes to other states. August 27, 2008 is a day that will live in infamy for the Democratic National Committee.

I truly believe that Obama, Clinton, Delegates, and DNC got together and decided exactly how they would conduct the convention and how to TRY to unite the party after a devisive primary process...sorry you do not agree with their decisions.

If you are a Democrat and you are FED UP with the DNC and the Obama Movement’s tactics, JOIN US! We are Protesting the 2008 Election. N.O.T. for Democrats this year. NOTHING ON TOP for the Democratic Ticket in 2008. Vote for John McCain; Vote for a 3rd Party Candidate; or LEAVE IT BLANK ON TOP.

Something outside my dorm room makes horrible noises. Every hour of the day, with brief breaks.

The noise isn't really that horrible, just annoying.

It sounds like some really tall man outside my window is peeing into a very short, empty toilet.

I know, it's college, and I expect that sort of thing. Really. But it's annoying, and he starts and stops a lot.

Unless it's not pee; maybe it's just the wind.

That would be so boring.

Thanks to the lack of sleep plus having cried for the past half an hour.
Why was I crying?
Cause I was watching BBT Graduation Ceremony.
OMyGoobers it's like freaking sad.
I will miss seeing them on my computer screen.
Hopefully the second batch will be good.
But even if they suck that would be good then all the old didis will come back.
Sigh...
Will miss all 20 of them.
The new didis better be uber shuai and entertaining like their seniors.
[UPDATE OMGosh I just saw a snipplet of how the new didis look like. I so want the old didis back ):]

Work was way tiring.
We were FULLY booked.
Left over was a table for 3, a table for 2 as well as a temporary table for 1 (we didn't have enough chairs) by the door.
That table by the door was sticking out like a sore thumb.
Lolx.
Ended work about 45 minutes later than usual and I was exhausted once we were done.
My hands were gonna break.
But poor Jin Hong he has to work night shift too.
Btw what day is it today?
What's up with the numerous reservations?
Dinner reservations are also crazy.
There are so many reservations that A-La-Carte is canceled for tonight.
WOOT.

xo.

I'm just wrapping up my third day at Oberlin. It's been pretty great, so far. You know, besides the required orientation events and such. Those were shit. But other things have been fun.

I've met some very cool people. I'm not a social person...in fact, I'm hanging out in my dorm room right now while the rest of my hall dances awkwardly in a circle to Lollipop by 'Lil Wayne. Missing out? No...because I have that song on my IPod. Duh.

I'm really not into the mass socializing thing. I don't like making casual acquaintances, I like making friends. Maybe it's a character flaw, but maybe not.

My roommate is fantastic! We listen to Damaged by Danity Kane. Which is all the cultural exposure I need, I think. It's great.

There are small bloodstains on my curtains, but they're negligible.

The girl's bathroom lacks paper towels and tampon receptacles, which is somewhat less negligible, but okay.

This all feels like summer camp. Maybe when I start taking 15 credit hours next week, it'll feel more like death camp, WWII-style.

I don't have a lot to complain about yet. But I suspect I will tomorrow. Let's keep in touch.
