Arsenal’s kit has been revealed, as stated on the Cesc Fabregas show the away kit is based on the 88/89 away kit worn at Anfield duing that famous win! The home kit is similar to the 00/01 kit, not that original. I don’t like it as much as the current home kit, but it will grow on me!

I’ll be honest - I’m not all that keen on this one, mainly due to the fact I was a big fan of the White alternative we wore the season past. I think it’s design basis is the shirts we wore at Anfield in 1989.

Maybe it’ll grow on me in time.

UPDATE:

Thanks to a bit of schooling from James at ArseSpeak, I discovered that the above is a fake. To view the correct picture, head on over to ArseSpeak.

In important tournaments such as the ongoing EURO 2008, there is almost always a first stage group deemed the 'Group of Death'. In the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the USA were a part of that competition's G-O-D, a group which included eventual winners Italy. The four teams in the group were all well-regarded, but only two could continue past the group stage.

Sometimes - as in that World Cup group and now in the EURO 2008, there is a group which lives up to the billing as a G-O-D. Such is the case with this tournament's Group C. As in the World Cup, EURO 2008 group stage has four teams in each group. Two move on; half of this group's big European sides will be gone tomorrow night.

Group C, who play their final matches on Tuesday night, includes FRANCE, ITALY, NETHERLANDS, and ROMANIA. So, you have the teams from the 2006 World Cup Final, the number one seed (Netherlands), and another great team (Romania).

Yes, a true G-O-D...

Only the Swiss and defending champs Greece are out. Portugal, Holland and Spain have secured top spots in their respective groups. Sunday’s winner takes-it-all match between the Czech Republic and Turkey kicks off a week of exciting matches.

Germany 1 - Austria 0

Austria was not intimidated by the Germans and played valiantly, ultimately losing 1-0 as a result of a Michael Ballack goal. The Germans had to win to advance and considering how much better the Germans are than Austria, it might be somewhat troubling to only escape with the one goal advantage. However, it doesn't really matter, as they do advance to face the Portugal, who are in immense form and inspirational run to meet them in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Croatia 1 - Poland 0

After an uninspired start to the tournament against Austria, Croatia has shown to be rather formidable. In a game which they had nothing to play for while Poland had everything to play for, the Croats dominated play and garnered a 1-0 victory. Croatia will face Turkey now, who will look to continue the momentum of their 3-goal, 15-minute barrage against the Czechs.

Upcoming matches:

Netherlands vs. Romania

The Dutch have been the most impressive squad in the tournament thus far and have earned the right to basically take the day off, which is good news for Romania. If the Romanians win, they are through to the quarterfinals. If they tie or lose, it opens up a whole mess of situations, which we'll get into in a minute. But, its pretty simple for Romania. Win and advance. And since you have to think Holland will be resting most of its key players, I say Romania gets the win and advances, 2-1.They do deserve to be their by the way they drew against France, and then then failed to grab much deserved 3points after taking the lead with superb Adrain Mutu strike against Italy and then missing a penalty.

Italy vs. France

The biggest match and a FIFA world cup final between France and Italy rematch today (Tuesday). This is the most anticipated match with both the teams in do or die situations, as till they have a point each and this being the last match in round robin match fixture for both the teams. Both playing with aged rosters are now staring headfirst into early elimination. If Romania wins, they're both out. If Romania loses, the winner of this match advances. If Romania loses and these countries draw, then it goes to all sorts of tiebreakers between Romania and Italy, with France being shut out. If Romania and Netherlands draw, then one of the teams must win this match to advance. Regardless, the Italians have looked less bad (if that makes sense), so I'll take them to beat France again, 1-0. And we can only pray there's more "Your mom and sister shirts" jokes and headbutts.

This is My first Live Blogging post, about the final of IPL. It started with the great performance by beautiful looking cheer leaders and many other acrobatics artist which took the heart of every audience and mine too, who has been watching the whole coverage live on TV, which was played in Mumbai, India. The opening ceremony even had the big stars like Salman Khan performing the picture shall speak for his performance it self take a look.Prior to the match, Salman Khan & Shamita Shetty entertained Public. To watch the match many bigwigs like Maharastra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh, Sharad Pawar, Manohar Joshi, Mukesh Ambani alongwith Nita Ambani, Amir Khan, Sania Mirza,Vinod Khanna, Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendulkar, Salman Khan were present in the DY Patil Stadium to watch the match.

1st innings of IPL final- highlights:
The first innings of IPL final was a typical inning. Chennai Super Kings batted first and made a modest total of 163/5 challenging but ultimately not enough to win. Thanks to some joint effort by Parthiv Patel, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina who made 38, 29 and 43 respectively.Parthiv was aggressive from the first ball and the small champ really showed he had enough fire in his belly to take on the pace battery of Royals.

Yusuf Pathan was a real surprising bowler as he took 3 wickets in his 4 overs giving just 22 runs. Sohail Tanvir and Watson got one each. Tanvir got 22 wickets in the tournament making him the best bowler of first ever Indian Premier League.

2nd Innings of IPL final - highlights
The Rajasthan royals had a shaky start after loosing Neeraj Patel and Kamran Akmal, but reliable Swapnil Asnodkar ( 28 of 20 balls) provided good support at the other end. It was again the turn of Yusuf Pathan to shine as he made 56 of 39 balls including 4 sixes, two in Muralitharan over one of which was 110 m long. He like in other matches in IPL tournament rescued the team and commanded to a winning position. But soon Rajasthan Royals 7-143 still requiring 25 runs from 15 balls. Sohail Tanvir and Shane Warne took them to a thrilling win. Tanvir proved why he is so important for the Rajasthan Team hitting the winning run in the last ball.

Makhaya Ntini showed his superb performance with the ball taking nowickets but giving just 21 runs in 4 overs including a maiden. Murali was smashed for few by the Rajasthan bowlers. Morkel and Gony seemed convincing but Balaji couldn't be upto his expectations. It was Balaji who gave a wide when Rajasthan required 6 off 3 balls making 4 off 3 balls as a bye was too obtained. Tanvir got the final run in his over.

As the match ended the closing ceremony and prize distribution took place which was more electrifying than the opening ceremony. Many great stars again performed, the pictures again speak .
As I browsed through the goal scored this season and most of ti came from Fernando Torres from the Merseyside Squad Liverpool. Each of the shots had a great common feature that was Torres had been anticipating the moves of the ball and had a Uncanning vision for the ball, his great foresight that has landed him with 37 Goals in his debut season in EPL.

The eye sight has been the main weapon in his arsenal , the great eye sight leads to better and a good enough reflexes which are indispensable for any sportsmen. Though everyone is not gifted with a great eyesight nor is it possible to attain with rigors training like fitness, muscles etc. The only possible way to improve eye sight is by advanced laser surgery by which any defects in the eye cornea can be removed with ease. The surgeries are mostly based on Infra red rays as they don't hurt and pass through human like a hot knife through butter. The basic form of such surgeries though is to remove any defects in eye sight like Myopia, hyper myopia etc with the help of lasik treatment, which is used to heal the cornea or the most active viewing part of the eye directly and instantly.

There are many games one can play in a casino house, but not all games are equally easy or profitable and chances of winning games and the stakes in it are inversely proportional to say the least here I mention you some of the best played casino games .

Backammon games need to have strong skill to win this games. The aim of backgammon is to move all of a player’s pieces into their own home board and then bear them off before the opponent. The doubling cube is in the middle of the backgammon board at the start of each game. Move your checkers to specific points on the board so you will keep your opponent’s checkers blocked from moving around the board. Advanced backgammon strategy is needed to win this game. You can free backgammon online games and have fun from this site too. Another game which is my personal favorite is blackjack, Blackjack is the best game to be played for players who do not have much expertise in the game and also have a great sense of intuition, the unique way of game allows any one who plays with little patience and not much lavishnesses to at least walk out with a respectable booty of cash from any blackjack game.

The Kentucky Derby is the most famous race in America, if not the world. In the latest work for derby excellent coffee-table book for both adults and children to enjoy. With bright, colorful illustrations, skillfully designed hats, and a well-written text (children's text in red, further information for adults in black), this is is a great way to introduce young fans to the kentucky derby party and the sport of Thoroughbred racing..

I've been a Yankee all my life, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this southern spectacle. Even way up here in the northeast, I manage to catch the excitement of the day, the anticipation of seeing the fine thoroughbreds of the Derby run the biggest race of their young lives. The speculation and hype leading up to the big day captivates my attention, and by post time I've chosen my favorite, you too can choose from the kentucky derby odds .The crowd at the Derby comes in two flavors. There are the rich and famous and then there are the regular folk who you can see populating the infield. If you've ever watched the race, you know the media loves to cover the wealthy, horse-owning set in their silks, linens, and dramatic hats, as they breathlessly watch each thundering hoof pummel down the track to the finish. However, most people get to see very little of the race, let alone the finish, unless they bring their own television sets.

If you've decided to join the action this year, you can choose to make your party an elegant, high-society event, or a wild and crazy infield-type bash, because either one will capture the flavor of the day.Locals and visitors celebrate by gathering at Skinny Legs Bar and Restaurant on the first Saturday in May. Kentuckian Mary Pat Brown, wife of Skinny Legs owner, whips up traditional derby fare—ham, corn pudding and mint juleps. The event also features a woman's hat contest. Post-race, a band entertains. There is no admission charge and the food is complimentary. The adrenaline pumping race been the star attraction, so get your kentucky derby picks before it gets over.

Franseco Totti the panther from Italy who captained the country football team for 3 years and has more than 39 goals under his name in international football matches has been facing low days since some time. Ever since Juventus has been relegated to Serie B and his age been sliding off the hands not to mention the great from and speed and precision attacks have too gone with the age, now it was reported that the old house of Totti which does look like Mansion is now been turned into a Villa by the present owners as the amount Totti's house for Public use would generate would be great.

The home is full of Stone masonry and depicts the old Venice/Rome architecture style of half arches and beams. At the backyard is the old Tuscan farmhouse which has been the tradition of such houses ever since they were bought into existence , as early as 13th century. This medieval Villa is now subdivided in apartments 2 bed and 4 bed. Being a 15 minutes drive form Florence the place strikes a perfect balance between Urban and country life.
Each apartment has terracotta flooring with exterior oak beams furnishing and stylish rustic furniture with Italian touch. Each Villa vacation rentals apartments in Tuscany have been to face south east so as to enjoy sunlight and breeze all though-out the year. The Villa has own private buses and arrangement plans and tour guide to take you for a visit to the local market, shops, souvenir stores, museums sight seeing etc. The place is just like heaven and now takes guests all round the year , though as per the Mediterranean weather the best season to visit is between April and October.

Adam Gilchrist would be long gone from international cricket, and without having ever held the test dismissals world record, if not for the advice of wife Melissa.

The Australian wicketkeeper-batsman will play his final one-day international match next week.

But Melissa Gilchrist has revealed he was ready to retire at the end of last summer's Ashes series, before she coaxed him into re-thinking his decision.

The 36-year-old would have joined fellow greats Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Justin Langer, who all ended their test careers with Australia's Ashes triumph, after batsman Damien Martyn quit the game mid-series.

"Adam was just so worn out, so, so tired, and it took a lot out of him," Melissa Gilchrist told the Australian Women's Weekly.

"When he told me then he was thinking of retiring, I just felt that he needed to rest and build himself back up before he made such a critical decision. As a result, he stayed on."

He, McGrath and skipper Ricky Ponting were the only players to play in all three champion sides.

Gilchrist went on this summer to take his test dismissal tally to 416, along the way passing his predecessor Ian Healy (395 dismissals) as the nation's most prolific gloveman.

He also briefly held the world record, overtaking South African Mark Boucher's tally of 413 in his final test, before Boucher regained the lead on Sunday.

Melissa Gilchrist said that when her husband eventually did announce he was pulling the pin on his career, during the Adelaide test last month, she knew the timing was right.

"When he rang this time from Adelaide and said, 'Do you know what? I think I'm done,' I just said, 'Yes, go for it, that sounds so right'."

She said the decision came down to a choice of family over cricket.

Steven Gerrard has delivered a scathing assessment of Liverpool's faltering campaign by declaring even winning the Champions League will not make up for the dismal performance in the Premier League.

The Liverpool skipper accepts that only fourth place now is acceptable as they battle to secure entry into Europe's elite competition next term.

But he said: 'You don't get any prizes in football for finishing in second place, never mind fourth.

'I don't think that the fans would accept fourth as an accomplishment and for me it's not nearly good enough.

'We need to improve dramatically and even if we do finish fourth, it doesn't mean we have had a good season.'

Gerrard accepts Liverpool are now involved in a winner-takes-all battle for fourth spot with neighbours Everton and Aston Villa, Portsmouth and Manchester City.

Having regained fourth place on Saturday by beating Middlesbrough, they saw Everton grab it back on Monday with an impressive demolition of Sven-Goran Eriksson's City.

And the battle will rage on this weekend with Liverpool at Bolton on Sunday while Everton are at home to Pompey later in the day.

Gerrard, in an LFC magazine interview, showed his own frustrations and anger at the club's current fortunes.

He said: 'In the position we find ourselves now, fourth is the least that is acceptable. But we have bigger ambitions than that.

'The only way we can fulfil those ambitions is in the Champions League. And I am not going to pretend that even winning that trophy - and we are a long way away from it at the moment - will make up for the disappointment of the league campaign.

'I'm pretty gutted every time I look at the table and see the gap between us and Arsenal at the top, and even the gap between us and second and third.

'We believed we had the players to challenge for the title, and we wanted that one more than any other trophy available to us. I still believe we have the squad to be a hell of a lot more competitive than we are right now.'

And Gerrard, significantly, claims the time has come for the club to stop looking at their long-term potential. The Reds skipper, who has again been linked recently with a summer move to Real Madrid, said: 'I'm getting tired of saying the same thing over and over again.

'We can't keep talking about next season all the time. There are only so many times you can say it and believe it. Sooner or later we have to make one season the season we make it happen and do the talking on the pitch.

'We need to make people believe it. I'm 27 now, I don't want to be talking about 'next season' for Liverpool when I'm 32.

'We've got the stadium, the fans, the manager and the players to compete for the Premier League. But we have no chance of doing that if we are always well out of it by the first week in January.

Sports and way the way the sports in growing as business is fantastic. Many biggest fortune making companies backing every game and players on personal and professional level , has only made the game and sports now to considered now by the present generation of youngsters as a possible lucrative carrier option. In fact many countries like Brazil which are though financially crippled but has the best Football players in the world, Brazil now produces the best quality Footballers at all levels and most of them are now playing in international league and many other are playing in domestic leagues of other countries.

Football has grown to such length and has made the schedule that players have to travel hundreds to practice and play matches and then make way back to home. Venues for tournaments and matches are scattered all over so that the sponsors get the most of the publicity and exposure. Though does have many consequences, one of the most obvious being a lot of traveling and fatigue. To reduce such hectic traveling most clubs are now using cheap fare flights rather than luxury buses, which costs more or so the same but take way to much time.

If you don't know about Arsenal's Vodcast, it is a great little insight to what goes inside Arsenal Football Club and players. And another thing, you can download the vodcasts for free unlike Arsenal TV where you have to pay a subscription fee. If you just found out about Arsenal's Vodcasts, don't worry, you can download all the past vodcasts for free from their archives.

Arsenal started releasing vodcast just this season. I like the vodcast. I wish Arsenal TV was free too. It is just too hard to find highlights of games that I have missed, any video uploaded to youtube is almost instantly deleted because of copyright.

Well download, watch and enjoy all the Arsenal Vodcasts and don't forget to bookmark the Arsenal's Vodcast XML page.

You can download Arsenal's Vodcast here.
