Dopo Davide Maggio e Tv Sorrisi & Canzoni ci si è messa anche Silvana Giacobini nel suo giornale Diva & Donna.

Infatti il periodico riporta che potrebbero andare in Sudafrica (???) anche Giancarlo Pantano (fidanzato di Alessandra Pierelli), Ela Weber e Francesca Lodo.

Altri nomi, quindi, si aggiungono al gruppo dei già citati Camassa, Varone, Melita e Angelucci.

Per il ruolo di inviato non ci sono novità.

La pornostar Luana Borgia è stata trombata. Che novità, direte Voi. Ma se a trombarla è stata Paola Perego, direste la stessa cosa?

No no, non si tratta di improbabili esperienze saffiche della padrona di casa di Buona Domenica ma più semplicemente di rapporti professionali tra le due. Si dice, infatti, che Luana la Porcona, giusto per citare uno dei tanti film della signorina Borgia, sia giunta al capezzale della Triangle Production per essere sottoposta ad un provino per l’imminente edizione de La Talpa.

La produzione, però, non avrebbe avuto dubbi e avrebbe scartato la focosa partecipante senza possibilità di appello.

Quella che sembrerebbe essere l’ultima frontiera dei reality (avere tra i concorrenti una/un pornostar) in realtà, è soltanto un miraggio o, ancora peggio, il più appetibile degli escamotage per tenere alto… l’interesse dei telespettatori. Quasi una necessità in un periodo, come quello estivo, in cui la calura annienta qualunque curiosità mediatica.

I telespettatori, dunque, oltre a sperare in un dietrofront della produzione, non potranno far altro che accontentarsi di qualche ex tronista. Pare, infatti, che la scorsa settimana, insieme a Salvatore Angelucci e Ghybli abbiano preso parte ai casting numerosi ex volti del programma pomeridiano di Maria De Filippi. In testa sembrerebbe esserci, pur non essendo stata presa ancora alcuna decisione definitiva, Jack Vanore.

The week of what seemed like the 31st of June, though clearly must have been the 1st of July due to that pesky 30 days hath rule was a musical blitzkrieg. Less destructive than you may have imagined, we set out to finish the week having seen the entirety of the notes for the first act of the show. The first act of Into the Woods, were it not written by Sondheim, would have probably been split in the middle at some illogical point, or maybe after milky white dies and been made into a perfectly happy and morally boring show of it's own. But instead, Sonheim, in his infinite wisdom and desire to make things difficult, wrote a second, more poignant act that follows a seriously difficult and long first act of singing, acting, moving and cow jokes.

I was leaving at what seemed to me to be the start of July, but actually was known as the second week for North Carolina to go into the woods to a camp in Arden to work with Middle School singers and to meet some great new conducting friends and to see a bunch of camp friends, both old and new. Because of my schedule, Sam and I knew that we had to get the music learned early. What other way was there to prepare the cast to go into blocking with knowledge of their songs than to be so intensive for a week? We may be making it out to seem more like a movie schedule than a theater production, but it is the summer, and people travel, especially the directors who are supposed to be in charge, so this is how it's come to be.

So, without straying too far from the path in my description here, the moral is there was a lot to learn, and it needed to  be done by the time I left. So we broke it down and I saw people individually. And I left the cast on the thursday of that week, (which I won't even venture to guess what day in July it was), having heard them sing through the opening of the show with a convincing amount of notes and rhythms sung accurately and several fantastic moments of character.

In the weeks before, I had become acquaintance to the host of people who could have been in our show, but now this week I was finally getting to meet the Baker and his Wife, the witch, the young girl with the cape, a wolf, two princes, a girl in a tower, a young lad, his mother, a young maiden with a world of social opportunities ahead of her, her dead mother who lives in a tree, and others, who I all got to work with individually. I asked everyone coming through the door, "Are you excited about the show?"

"I'm so excited"

"This show got me into musical theater"

"...eh? I mean, I've always wanted to be in this show, I can't wait!"

So the response is overwhelmingly positive, and it showed when people came in to work. We were eager to start singing the music and start peeling back some of the layers of a very complex show to see what all Stevie had hidden there for us to find. These fairy-tale fellows I found were fantastic singers, who were prepared and even at the start were ready to bring their character into their singing. The first act had been sung, though not all at once, and certainly not from memory, but we had at least encountered the pitches and shaken hands with the rhythms and gotten to see some glimpses of the moments that we'll get to study later. It left me leaving that Saturday, eager to return and anxious to get a chance to sit at the piano with the cast again.

Doctor said I may need to be on crutches for 3 months because ligaments take a long time to heal.  The fracture on the fribula is all the way through, but not compound or anything like that.  The big bone looked dislocated because of the torn ligaments (it's not next to the fibula)

Chamberlain is one of 12 finalists for ABC's reality series "High School Musical: Get in the Picture," which airs Sunday and Monday nights on WKOW Channel 27.

In tonight's pre-taped episode, Chamberlain was selected from among thousands of contestants to be one of the finalists, who are followed over the course of the season as they attend a summer music program together and hone their performing skills.

The ultimate winner will get to star in a music video that will air during the closing credits of the "High School Musical 3" movie, as well as a recording contract for two singles with Walt Disney Records.

"I mean, it hasn't really even hit me yet that I'm here at all," Chamberlain said in a telephone interview Monday from Los Angeles. "It's all like a dream. It's all happened so fast that I haven't been able to take all of it in. I feel really, really grateful. It's just a launching pad for all of us and it's unbelievable."

"I ran around the house screaming," Jemma McKenzie-Brown said, thinking back to the day she was asked to a final audition for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" "My grandma was like, 'What's wrong?' I was like, 'Nothing, nothing. I'm really excited!' "

Not exactly the reaction you might expect from an experienced star of British television and radio. But the call came near the end of months of auditions for "HSM3" and eventually earned the 14-year-old a spot as the new kid at the "High School Musical" table. Twice awarded as one of the finest actresses in Asia, CHIN-CHIN GUTIERREZ has become equally renowned in the entire region for her work as an advocate for the environment. Her mission is to instigate & encourage people to join in her crusade to save Biak na Bato, aiming to give awareness to the community on the importance of mother nature and how mining activities have led to the desecration of a historical shrine .

You can see Sylar in the back seat of the car with HRG and Claire and then of course the image of Claire and Sylar hugging and him proposing...!? Is this just a pic of them in between takes or is there some sort of alternate bizzaro world going on??

We know Future Claire is supposed to make an appearance, so who knows what is going on...!?

One the way out of the doctor's office, she fell.  She's fine, but good gracious.  They are sitting in the pharmacy waiting for her to collect herself and then they will be on their way home.

THEN.....we came home and she tried to walk on it.  We heard something pop and she was in severe pain.  It is swollen more now as well.  I called the doctor's office and they said that the swelling was going to happen; that it is going to hurt.  That she needs to prop it up and put some ice on it.  They want us to take her back in the morning between 9 and 9:30 so they can put a brace on it.  She is so upset.  She does not want a brace - she wants the cast back on it.  She is upset because he didn't make her walk on it for him today.  Standing on it did not hurt so bad, but she says walking on it kills her.   She knows now that she will not be going to camp.  I still cannot believe they took the cast off after three weeks.  John is taking her in the morning.  If I go, I may not be nice.  He can do it gracefully.  I feel so bad for her - I have never had to have a cast on any part of my body, so I can't imagine what she is feeling.  I hope the brace is strong enough to make her feel safer. 

Please pray for her comfort.  I know what it feels like to be in pain - as many of you do.  I pray that she will heal quickly.  Thanks for all your prayers today and for your patience on getting back with the news.

Today we find out if Miranda loses her cast or of she keeps it.  Considering it hasn't even been a month yet, I think she is going to keep it.  But we will see.  Pray for her.  She is upset that she is probably not going to go to camp next week.

Some spoilers below in case you haven't caught the end of Season 8 yet

First Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) burns out and leaves mid Season 8 after a cliffhanger S7 miniature killer finale...

Then in the climatic Season 8 Finale, Warrick (Gary Dourdan) gets shot in a back alleyway. Interestingly enough, according to this article, it's not the last we will see of him! I was quite sure he was dead so now i'm fairly intrigued...

And now, mainstay of CSI, central character Gil Grissom plans to leave...

What makes the original CSI better, or stand out from the NY and Miami spin-offs, is the cast and their dynamic. NY has a tougher grittier cop/shooting feel while Miami is just plain annoying with Horatio/glasses and Callie/voice and booooring team.

The CSI Las Vegas team are the original geeks who made blood spatter analysis hip. Bug loving genius Gil as the head of the team, with tough maternal Catherine at his right hand, supported by buff Nick, suave Warrick, sulky Sara and geeky Greg... I think it's going to be quite impossible to find new characters to fill that growing void, especially when Gil leaves, so perhaps Season 9 might just be the last season of CSI.

I will be quite sad when CSI does actually end! I watched Seasons 1-5 on DVD for days in a row, just plonked myself on the couch and watch weird crimes get solved episode after episode. I followed S6, S7 on TV religiously, especially on AXN CSI Sundays and S8 was faithfully followed even after the writer's strike. My funniest CSI related anecdote would be my younger sis telling my mum she's too afraid to be left alone in the house after watching too much CSI, hilarious stuff.

So no Grissom, don't leave us!

Every day, in May and June, I felt suicidal. I even started planning for it. But then life got in the way, things had to be done, and by July 1^st, I no longer felt that way.

But, nothing lasts forever. That's been one of my thoughts lately. Nothing lasts – not people, not buildings, not cars, not products, not anything that you get used to or even anything you love. Nothing lasts forever. One day, you admire the trees and the next day, they are gone.

I don't like change much. It seems by the time I am used to a change, it changes again. It's too much change, the world is changing too fast, and it needs to slow down. We need to appreciate what we have instead of coming up with new things all the time. I like my computer; it runs XP. They are no longer selling or supporting XP, and my computer is not even two years old. That is ridiculous. But that is the mentality of this world – create, use, dump. No saving or savoring what we have. Today's beautiful or helpful things are tomorrow's garbage. I wish it would STOP. Now.

My body keeps changing, too, and wearing out. Somewhere in June, I fell. Again. This time in my own bedroom, on my right side. I fell hard. I tried to protect my head by landing on my shoulder. Now I have a problem with my rotator cuff, and am once again doing physical therapy. Not that I don't like my physical therapist; I do. She's pretty wonderful. But I don't like being hurt again, and taking that horribly long bus ride to and fro.

You would think that was bad enough, yes? Oh, no; more proof the Universe hates me.

I went to a festival I go to yearly. Two blocks before I got off the bus, it rained. And I don't mean a nice, light little pretty shower with rainbows and less humidity. No, I mean a hard rain, a gullywasher, cats and dogs and all that. I kept moving from one shelter to another for I don't know how long,. Everybody had closed up shop, for the most part. A few tents were open to seek refuge from the rain. But for all intents and purposes, it was a wasted trip. I saw no one I knew, couldn't look at the closed booths, and was cold and wet. The only person I ran into – on my way out of the park – was my separated husband, R. He was still complaining that he couldn't get laid because we are still technically married (I need his insurance),. I said “Would you like me to write you a note?” He laughed, but then in all serious said “It might help.” Unbelievable. “Dear Whoever You Are, I am R.'s wife; we are indeed separated and planning on divorce, and it is okay with me if you have sex with him. In fact, please have sex with him; it will make him less nasty and keep him from screaming at me for awhile. So, please, please, sleep with him. Now! Thank you.” Of course, the reason he can't get laid is because he sends out nothing but very angry energy, and who wants to approach that? No one.

I walked around the festival three times before leaving. I am not used to walking so much. By the next day, both my ankles hurt. By the third day, my right ankle was fine, but my left ankle was so swollen I couldn't even see the ankle, and I was screaming going up and down the stairs.

I thought it would just go away. You really can't think of me as a hypochondriac; more the opposite. “It'll go away” is my motto. So I wait until something is really bothering me. This time, I waited eight days.

They couldn't fit me in at my clinic (new idiot; they should have been able to). They have no more urgent care places. So I had no choice but to say “Screw it. I can't pay the $300 co-pay for my surgery, I can't pay it for this, so what's the difference?”

I took the bus and hobbled to the ER. They have something new called “Fast Track” which they do to certain patients. Don't know why I was put on it, but I was. It was nice not to wait so long. Nonetheless, it still took about three hours. They took multiple x-rays, and an ultrasound to make sure I didn't have a blood clot (to which I replied “I'm sure I will eventually, even if I don't now.” No blood clot this time, and the nurse's birthday was Monday, and mine was Sunday. We wished each other a happy birthday.

The X-rays told a different story. Ankle. Broken. Piece of bone detached and floating around. Gotta make an appointment with ortho the next morning at 8 am. I told them I didn't get up that early, and then said “Then as soon as you get up.” They put me in a big, nasty, boot and told me that between that and the cane I was already using, I should be fine to get to ortho.

So, here I am. I have decided to cheer myself by giving myself a birthday party on Saturday. A nice cookout in my backyard. And I am still recovering from surgery; I have rotator cuff problem, and I have a broken ankle. Which means I can't do much of anything.

My apartment is a disaster area. So is the backyard (the landlord apparently told the mower guys not to mow ANY of my yard, period).

I try to get help, but who wants to help me clean up my house? Nobody, really. Social services won't help; you have to be in “The System”,. I don't want to be in “The System”. I have been in “The System” and “The System” SUCKS. Friends don't want to do it, either.

I manage to find three people to help: my old friend J., my ex-hubby, V., and my mother-in-law, S. Actually, that last one is my brother-in-law, J. MIL can't do anything with her health problems, either.

But I know it is not enough. And I keep sleeping and waking weird hours because they put me on dilaudid for my ankle, on top of my three other pain meds. I keep falling asleep in the evening, and waking up in the morning. Which I just don't do. The other day, I wake up at 8:30 am. I get started at 9:30 am. My MIL is very, very slow that day, and we are finishing up by buying food and beer for the party at 1:00 am at the store. There is a woman taking forever and a day in front of me, and I know they stop selling alcohol at 1:00 am, but I don't know what to do about it, but hope we get in under the gun.

We don't. It is 1:01. I can't believe it, and I completely lose it in the middle of the store, screaming and crying and cursing. The guy behind me threatens to call the cops on me. He also says, after my litany of problems “I don't care”. I reply 'That's the problem.” On our way out, one kind employee tells me if it happens again (it won't – I almost never drink anymore) to bring the booze up to the people at the front, and they'll scan it immediately. Thanks for telling me before I made an ass of myself and created a debacle.

The next day, I feel stupid. But I also realize how very, very tired I was. Exhaustion covered me like a barbed-wire cloak, and when that one little thing happened, I snapped.

I never did get everything done, but it guess it was okay enough. S. didn't show up until very late, so if we had had any hard-core beer drinkers who didn't get their own, we would have been screwed.

But, I was screwed. Universe again. And people.

I invited 32. Seven showed up. Seven! In two groups. The first group of 4, and the second of 3. I was devastated. To me, my birthday is the most important day of the year. It should be a day of celebration because I was born, because I am here on this earth. And a lot of times, I don't feel like I should be here on this earth. I did this party because I wanted to remember that I have a right to be here, and it is okay to be here, and I am loved.

And I get 7 people. Eight if you count my next-door-neighbor, K., who kept popping in and out. Presumably, her abusive ass of a husband told her not to come out to the party. Although the decided to make an appearance.

There is a guy who owns a convenience store close by. He is a complete and total letch. He touches women inappropriately, as he did this day to me, and we are all getting sick of it. I told K. about it, and he had touched her earlier that day. M. her husband, after I tell the story, comes out eyes blazing, phone in hand, demanding what I am going to do about it. I am not inclined to do anything at the moment; I am having my pathetic little birthday party. He harangues me for awhile, until I finally tell him I am having a party and I will do nothing about it right now. It upset me, it upset my guests, and I didn't need that on top of everything else.

Then, of course, it started raining. Hard, then slow, and we'd think it would stop. But then it would go back to a hard rain yet again. And it continued that way until my guests had left, except B., who helped me tear everything down but the tent (yes, at least we did have that to sit under), since we couldn't figure it out, and J. had just arrived and thought she could tackle it. We managed to get it folded down and inside to dry out.

J. is one of my oldest friends, so I was counting on her to make it. But she came late and left early, as her 12-year-old daughter's party was that day, too. When S. and BIL J. arrived shortly after, they did not seem to be in a great mood. I finally got around to putting on some music, which S. complained was too loud, so I turned it down. I was talking about being upset at how few people showed up (while expressing my gratitude that they showed up, mind you), and S. said “Well, for my 16^th birthday, I invited all my friends and everyone in the club I was in, and NO ONE showed up.” Was that supposed to make me feel better?

A few people called with the apologies: one was feeling dizzy and afraid she was having a stroke (“Go to the hospital” I told her, worried), one elderly friend had asthma really bad (and I do, too, so I understand that), and one couldn't find the apartment, and I had forgotten to hang up the phone. So by the time I called him, it was too late, and he is taking care of his elderly mother since his father died. I can't get upset at these people; they have very, very valid reasons why they could not be here. But those that said they would come and merely didn't, or those who didn't even bother RSVPing, I don't understand.

Then another problem. I had asked my BIL to close and lock the doors and windows. He forgot one; one I cannot do because it is one of those very old windows with too much paint, and will barely move in the summertime? I surely can't move it. So here I am, a bit drunk, very depressed, and freaking out because I can't get this window closed. I knocked on my neighbor's door, but the stupid asshole wouldn't answer. I tried a coffee shop next door, but they hate me for calling the police on them when they had their music cranked up so loud, I could feel the walls shake. So they pretty much laughed at me and nearly escorted me out the door.

I am barefoot. I am freaking out. And my only other options are a redneck joint or a music bar whose owner I know (one of them, at any rate). He wasn't there. They seemed suspicious for some reason. But the one guy (who is apparently the other owner) had enough in his heart to offer to help. He got it closed, and I thanked him. Now I could go to bed.

I spent my actual birthday on Sunday taking my meds, feeding my cats, watching “Young Frankenstein”, and falling asleep about 5 pm. I didn't wake up until 10:00 am this morning. So the cats got screwed out of a meal, but I suppose they will forgive me eventually. Some birthday.

It hurts when you feel like people don't really care about you. It hurts to think of how few true friends you really have. It hurts when you do something like this to cheer yourself up, and it turns out to be miserable. It would have been better had I not even done it. All I have to show for it is a few small gifts and too much meat and beer in the fridge. I guess I can freeze the burger and hot dogs (can you freeze hot dogs? I don't know) and have food for awhile. And I suppose if I skip my meds I can drink the beer. May as well. Screw it all. I'm gonna get good and drunk the night before my ortho appointment so I can look and feel my very best that morning, to quote Arlo. And maybe I'll watch all my dark movies, like “Apocalypse Now” and “Donnie Darko”, and start calling up the people who didn't show or call. I can be an asshole too.

I said this would be a journal of truth.

I don't know what will happen tomorrow. If they put a cast on me and make me get crutches, how am I going to get around? How can I do that with my rotator cuff injury? How can I get up and down the stairs? How can I manage not to step on (and completely freak out) the cats? I am going to have to tell them I can't do that, and they will have to find another way.

Pardon me while I sit here and cry some more. I hate this world that clearly doesn't think much of me, either. I just want to be gone, into a darkness that does not carry this pain.

What about Ben Davidson? Ben and Vicki had a wonderful love story and it ended when Ben’s last good deed was to give Vicki his heart when she was dying. On July 21-22 there are several guests who will be appearing from heaven and Ben Davidson is one of them.

On July 21-22, OLTL will celebrate their 40^th anniversary and it will be one that viewers will not forget.

Mark Derwin was the original Ben Davidson and he will be playing the character once again. Will he visit with Vicki one more time? Who will Ben contact from heaven? Who else will join the cast of OLTL on their 40^th anniversary celebration?

The first thing that struck me when I saw the names of the main cast of Gossip Girl, was "gosh this really is a generation of new aged kids". Of the 6 main cast (Serena, Blair, Jenny, Dan, Nate and Chuck), only Chuck (Ed Westwick) came away with a fairly traditional name. Blake? Chace? Penn? Taylor? Leighton? I always thought 'Blake' was a modern sort of name, but apparently it stems from an old English term which can mean either dark or pale skinned (how odd, that something can mean such opposite things). Blake was apparently a nickname for people with very fair or dark hair/skin. (perhaps, instead of saying "that bloke", that said "that blake"?)

Blake is a unisex name that got more popular around late 80s/early 90s according to this site. Blake Lively was born in 1986, which was around the time the name started to get popular.

Famous Namesakes:

Offhand, the first Blake I could think of was Blake Lewis of American Idol fame, the beatboxing runner up. Some wikipedia-ing throws up names like Blake Carrington, a fictional character on soap opera Dynasty and Blake Edwards, a director whose works include the Pink Panther series. Blake seems more common as a surname, aka english poet William Blake and Tennis Player James Blake.

More Common Nomenclature:

Her middle name is Christina. I suppose Blake Lively has a nicer and more memorable ring to it than Christina Lively.

Leighton Meester

Leighton is not a common name, and the few names it turns up are for boys rather than girls. It occurs more as a surname though. It's an old English name for 'Meadow Settlement, hence it's quite common as a name for towns in the U.S. and U.K.

Famous Namesakes:

Not many, but there is a Leighton Baines of Everton football and Leighton Rees, a Welsh dart player.

Her middle names are Marissa Claire. Meester, her surname, is Dutch for master, according to imdb's profile.

Taylor Momsen

Taylor (Say Tay-Ler)

Taylor has an old English and French origin and quite obviously comes from the occupation 'Tailor', which means "one who cuts cloth". Probably quite appropriate since her character Jenny Humphrey is a budding seamstress.

Taylor was originally a boys name, but soon became really popular for girls, becoming one of the top 10 girl's names in the 90s. Currently it's still somewhere in the top 20. Personally, Taylor seems like such an obviously masculine name, it's a little strange that it's so popular among the girls. I never realized there were so many female Taylors around.

Famous Namesakes:

Taylor Hanson of pop group The Hansons is the first person that pops to mind. Soap operas like The Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children and Melrose Place apparently helped popularise the name.

More Common Nomenclature:

Michel is her middle name, why looks kinda frenchy (as in Mi-kell), if not like a rather mispelled Michelle.

Chace Crawford

Chace names his father as the culprit for his oddly spelled name ("he wanted all C's!). The name Chase is a pretty common US name that comes from the french term "Chasseur", or hunter.

Chace is common as a surname and so far, wikipedia lists only sexy Crawford as the only famous enough person with this unique first name. Woot~

Penn Badgely

Penn is more commonly the short form for the University of Pennsylvania. According to Wikipedia, Badgley was named after a tennis ball brand called Penn because his father would often grip on Penn tennis balls, and that when he was first seen in his mother's womb through the ultrasound, he was the size of a tennis ball. He probably should have been glad he wasn't peanut sized or something.

Famous Namesakes:

Penn is a common enough surname, with Sean Penn probably being the most top of mind recall, but there is Penn Jilette, a writer and half of comedy duo Penn and Teller.

You know, he doesn't seem to have a middle name? Just plain own Penn Badgley.
