So I have this "friend" whom I talk to off and on via email and in a forum (a bisexual forum, I should state). She and I are *cough* close... Today, she sent me new photos, something not uncommon as we exchange all sorts of media.

I recognized the person and, after a quick search, learned a bit more (and snagged some more images). Feel free to look her up. Her name is Allison Stokke. An excellent pole vaulter in CA. Why is she known? Because the internet is full of tards who find photos and exploit them (usually sexually). Basically: because she's hot.

Isn't she simply adorable?!

And here's the photo:

So, she was like 17, I think, when this one at least was taken. Does that make me a sick pervert for having the desire to lick her from toes to nose? Nah. Besides, she's legal-beagle now!

I wonder if she'd accept cash to let me lap up all the sweat from her chest and neck...

A little bit gay? Nah, sometimes I'm a total dyke.

Today's super happy fun Search Engine Term!

Uh... engrish plx?

Today was nice. Work was minor and easy. I left around 10:30am. It was a gorgeous day and I spent some of it walking through the Cincinnati Zoo. Beautiful day for it. I don't think it ever even hit 80 degrees when I was there. And it was so calm.

Yeah, I'm still here. I was told Jen would be pretty much "out" until Friday due to more surgery. I bumped my flight to then. A plus is the fact that she's breathing fine and lung is mostly healed (it collapsed twice). I didn't realize they heal so fast. I was told they're usually totally healed in about a weeks time. Neat. With her, it's hard; she's in a lot of pain. Her breaths are very short and shallow. One normal breath and she can't control her crying -- her lung pushes against her broken ribs, sorta re-breaking them. When her crying is uncontrollable, my crying is uncontrollable. I'm hoping the recent few days of unconsciousness will do her healing and pain some good. It's been nearly a month and seems like she still has a long ways to go. I'll have more details on the physical healing after Friday.

I forgot Tuesday. Seriously, a big mistake. I felt like total shit.
Two. Year. Anniversary.
He waited until evening to mention the day. He knew I'd forgotten. He also said he didn't mind and that forgetting stuff like this will happen when so much is weighing on the mind. I should not have forgotten :(
I was in my pajamas staring at the TV when he handed me a glass of wine (white - a rarity for us). It wasn't even a clue to me. Then, he handed me a little velvet bag no bigger than my palm. Inside were two 1ct diamonds, two 1/4 ct, and two uncut 1/4 ct. Just loose stones. My jaw was on the floor. I didn't understand why I was given this... Until he said "Happy Anniversary."

Talk about feeling like crap. I still do.

We made love for three full hours, complete with nonstop chatter, and slept together like a knot. I'm praying I conceived ;)

This afternoon, after work, the walk, dinner, and some more husband-loving, I asked to go back through that looking glass as I did last week [Communion with the gods]. The "ritual" was explained in detail to me. Basically, everything was based on some rather creative suggestion. Well, suggestion coupled with a drug. It was a fine ending to this day. A couple hours wandering through a dreamy paradise as mere minutes ticked off the clock back in reality. Amazing.

Time for bed now. After an ice cream cone perhaps...

Michael Corcoran, VP at IBI, has written a good article about trends in the BI space that one shouldn't ignore. The gist of it suggests that more people are demanding information and delivering it to users in a way that is simple and mobile is the key. Have a read for yourself.

__________________

Business intelligence (BI) technology has had a tremendous impact on decision-making activities at most companies. In the last several years, it has become one of the most commonly deployed software technologies in the business world, helping executives, managers, and professional analysts stay in touch with current activities.

From an end-user standpoint, however, BI technology is only beginning to reach its potential. In this article, I identify six ways to boost BI adoption rates and drive greater return on your BI investments.

1: Serve a Wider Audience

For years we have been hearing about how BI is moving out to the masses. Vendors are making their BI software more accessible to casual users, and customers are creating BI applications that reach a broad spectrum of the user population. The more consumers of information you have, the greater the value you will obtain from your BI efforts.

To truly deliver BI to everyone in your organization, you have to be able to provide users with a high degree of sophistication via a very simple interface that requires no training. When it comes to reporting, developers should create universal, parameter-driven reports that offer thousands of potential outputs -- without requiring users to understand how to use a BI "tool" at all. Successful BI practitioners follow this "guided ad hoc" approach to make business intelligence easy to digest, guiding users to the answers they need. Also, each menu or form should include a subscription or scheduling option, so users can request regular updates via e-mail.

Once the right information is easily available, everybody in your organization becomes a potential decision maker, whether they work in customer service, shipping, manufacturing, finance, or just about any other area. Whether you call it "consumer BI," "pervasive BI," or "BI for the masses," the focus has shifted from BI professionals, who need complex tools to create and analyze information, to everyday workers who simply want to access content in meaningful ways.

sum({$<Ano = {$(=Only(Ano)-1)}>} [Valor das Vendas])

After wrapping up his latest Hollywood movie Ninja Assassin, Rain has managed to go back in South Korea and chilled out with his friends Yoon Gye-sang (ex-GOD member) and On Ju-Wan.

Rain definitely deserved that break and he made the most out of it because it might take him months or years before getting another one.

Rain will appear in Comic-Con in San Diego, CA tomorrow, July 24th, to promote his 2nd Hollywood movie. His first Hollywood appearance was in the movie Speed Racer as Tae Jo.

I'm lying on my back, gazing at a ceiling fan that is apparently on. I see it turning, but I feel nothing of its effects. My heart is pounding in my ears, nearly drowning out the sound of the large industrial heaters that are cranked to 105 degrees. Sweat is pouring across my skin as though someone were standing above me with a fire hose.

I wish they were.

Did I mention it's hot?

Someone asked me the other day how I liked Bikram Yoga. My response? "Well, other than the struggle to survive without passing out or throwing up, it's pretty great."

For an hour and a half we do a set series of postures--twice. I've done it a few times now, and it's changing me. I have some tightness in my middle back and some compression in my lower spine, and if I don't practice yoga, I'm in constant pain. The crippling kind. Since doing this insane style of yoga, I am better.

I remind myself of that while I'm lying there wondering if the fan is really on or if I'm hallucinating. Somewhere off in the distance, I vaguely hear the teacher crack the window open, and almost instantly feel a cool breeze wash across my body. I gulp it in with gratitude. There's something about being taken to the edge that makes you weak with relief when something nice happens to you. I suddenly love that teacher.

Except for the occasional "get me the hell out of here" and "help me, God" prayers, my mind stops when I'm in Bikram. That's the best part. And when I leave, I feel peaceful and contented (especially after a shower and a huge bottle of cold water). It's like taking a Quaalude, but infinitely better. In the afterglow, I love my life. I love everyone. Everything is okay.

In this post, I assume that people who are gathering business intelligence requirements are business

In this post, I assume that people who are gathering business intelligence requirements are business domain experts and knowledgeable dimensional modelers (logical and not physical techie modelers).

The challenges in gathering business intelligence requirements are:

Business folks are too busy for BI: In a transactional system, business owner has a fairly good idea on what functionality, control or feature they are looking for. This is because it is linked to their day-to-day operations and survival. Life still can go on without BI for another day.

Business does not know what it wants- there are too many choices: In OLTP, one has mostly linear and limited options, one can choose from. In case of BI, you can have hundred of different information requirements.

Crises Driven: As its difficult for business to pin-down what it wants from information perspective, the information requirements skew towards immediate need.

One way to manage this challenge is to do an intensive home-work, before you meet the business owner. You home work should include going through:

Strategy blue-print including SWOT, competition land-scape etc..

Enterprise Business plan

Functional Business Plan

Minutes of the management meetings

Goal-sheets of the key stakeholders

Current MIS and Reporting Packs

This will give you a good idea on the business priorities and issues. In other words, you will need to carry with you, the business landscape at functional ( for which you are building a Data Mart) and at an enterprise level. It does not mean that you would be leading the interviewee. This will enable you a better questioning and conscious-keeping for comprehensiveness. The biggest advantage is to be able to related to the interviewee. If interviewee feels that you know his world, he will open up much more.

NOTE- the above home-work may not only be done by the interviwer but also for the interviewee. While the business user is aware of his world and priorities, going through the above-said documents will re-inforce and systematize his thinking.

Big Bang released the teaser for their title song “Stand UP” in their upcoming 3rd mini album, which is slated for release on August 1st. The music video was shot secretly in the alleyways of Korea, showing a darker, tougher image of Big Bang. They definitely took off their cute, flashy image from the “Lies” and “Last Farewell” days to show their maturity from boys to young men.

Fans are eagerly anticipating their new album. There is also a song that G-Dragon composed and produced with Daishi Dance, which is a surprising collaboration due to their different music genres.

Like OMG. I so can't wait for this! Frankly speaking, I've been neglecting them for the past few months, being totally "immersed" with Wonder Girls and Super Junior. Huhu. But yay, they're coming back! And the video is just super hot. Ugh. Can't wait! **screammm!!**

On the other hand, there's also the Wonder Girls new album to look forward to which will be released in September? Haiz. Here we go again. The battle goes on between JYP and YG. In the past, there was Bi and Seven, which, I believe, Bi won. To me lah. Then, ther's Wonder Girls and Big Bang. I don't know about these. I like both. Jongmal. Haha.

Whatever it is, as long as WonderBang exists, I'm happy!! Can't wait!!

Universal Data Warehouse Dimensions- Is it possible?

I have talked a lot about having universal & foundation dimensions in the data warehouse in my p

I have talked a lot about having universal & foundation dimensions in the data warehouse in my portal Business Intelligence and Performance Management Institute. In brief, Data Warehouse is typically a dimensional model, which is different from relational/OLTP model. In dimensional model, you have dimensions and their attributes in their own tables linking through a central 'Fact Table', which carries all the numbers (or measures).

Now, the idea is that one should have one standard dimension (and attributes) for a business entity. Lets say that there are 20 star-schemas (or cubes in OLAP lingo) in a data warehouse, and ten out of them are using customer dimension. The concept of foundation dimension is that all these ten cubes should be using an identical customer dimension. This helps in doing analytics across multiple cubes and significantly reduces the change and development effort.

One reality check one has to take is that for large organization, it is extremely difficult to have a single customer dimension. This is because they may be operating very diverse markets or products. Getting all the business heads to agree to a single dimension may take years. Many of my clients have asked on if these 'standard' dimensions are practically possible.

My answer to them is that yes its possible, if we do apply the following techniques:

Create Super-Sets: Take a convenient path of creating 'super-set' dimension, which can absorb diverse entitites. For example creating a super set customer dimension, which can absorb retail, corporate and group-customers.

Create different foundation dimensions: You do not need to create a single customer dimension for the whole organization. You can create 'retail customer' dimension, 'corporate customer dimension' etc... Both these dimensions will be different, but they will be universal within themselves. The assumption is that you will not be required to do cross-navigation across retail and corporate customers.

Start with high priority Dimensions: Instead of trying to make universal dimensions for all entities, identify top 5-6 which are most critical. Pareto principle equally applies here. The critical dimensions can be customer, vendor, product, location, sales channel etc...

What is interesting about creating InfoObjects (key figures and characteristics) is that they are no

What is interesting about creating InfoObjects (key figures and characteristics) is that they are not created where they intuitively should be created. First the InfoObject Catalog needs to be created. This is done by right mouseclicking an InfoArea and selecting - Create InfoObject Catalog.

Next you are taken to this screen to view the in process InfoObject Catalog (in this case its a catalog for Key Figures)

However, you don't create the new InfoObject by right mouseclicking here. Instead, you go back to the InfoArea and right mouseclick. (You need to select the InfoObject Catalog where you want the new InfoObject)

Then you can begin setting up the InfoObject.

bok bok bok

Yeah, right. While it could be entertaining to post up a bunch of semi-nude and nude women, I'm not going to. Though it would draw a lot of visitors...

I just felt like posting a nonsensical entry before I depart once more for the big apple.

Today I spent over a hundred bucks on........ underwear! That's right! Panties galore! Couple bras.
I really love Victoria's Secret.

I only recently discovered a new love for a particular style: the v-string.
What the hell is a "v-string?" Basically, it's VS's name for a g-string. BUT they're the only g's that are actually comfortable and worth a damn to me. Don't get me wrong, VS have their share of shitty ones.

Couple examples:
THONG--

Note the material for the backside.

G-STRING/V-STRING--

Note the lack of material for the backside. Just a "string."

The above two g-string examples are also examples of a type I totally LOATHE.

Long long ago, I had a boyfriend whom I used to dress up in sexy lingerie for (I still dress up). Once, he went to remove my g-string and ... began laughing... He found the bottoms quite funny... And coined them "eyepatch." Because, well, that's pretty much how a lot of women's g-strings are designed; to just be a couple strings to hold a piece of material to cover the (mons) pubis. So, basically, he was right. It's an eyepatch for your crotch.

Since then, I've adopted the term and grew to dislike that style. I pretty much kept with bikinis and thongs. But I never really liked how thongs felt. The material in the back can be aggrovating.

Just a few days ago I was going through my trunk of lingerie. Mixed in with all the corsets, g-strings, costumes, and hosery, I found what I first assumed was another g-string. It was a cute navy blue bottom that went with nothing else I own. I don't remember when or why I bought it, but clearly I did as it still had the tag; must've been more than five years ago. When I picked it up I noticed something different. The "eyepatch" was slightly more narrow, softer as it was made of cotton (unlike the lacy and satiny ones with the corsets), seemed to have elastic about the edges like any normal panties, and had a slightly curved shape to the bottom of the "patch." Under the Victoria's Secret name: V-String.

Sure, they were quite tight about my hips as my gams have fattened up quite a bit, but the panties themselves... good god, they were perfect. The string in the back: soft, cottony, and comfortable. The "patch:" formed perfectly to my goods, collecting my bits and cradling even better than any bikinis I own. I found the perfect underwear!!!

After a thorough washing, I took these to VS and asked about them after I failed to find an exact pair on the floor. The dream undies baffled everyone. Nobody had seen that exact style before. And everyone loved handing my underwear. >.< Everyone was quite jealous of my old-school VS find.

I shopped around and collected quite a bunch of newer v-strings. Mostly their "Body" and "Cotton" types.
Examples:

No, none of the ones I purchased are as HEAVENLY as my old ones, but they're close. I definitely reccommend the VS Cotton, Body, and Secret Pink to anyone who loves to/needs to wear lineless bottoms and is bothered by the backside material that thongs have. And for anyone who doesn't like the "eyepatch" type g-strings.

PINK:

I picked up a couple Pink mesh ones. They're a rare type for me. The mesh, that is. The only time I can wear them comfortably, of any panty type, is after either a good wax or after going a very long time without shaving bare. Any new growth + mesh = itchy as sin. But damn they're cute.

If you're after some sexiness that you don't find in these "basic" types, check out the Very Sexy v-strings. They're awesome. All that I saw are the "eyepatch" type, but if you're out to just make yourself feel good, they're worthwhile. And as long as your spouse isn't a retard, he/she will adore them too.

The floral ones are freaking great. You'll have to visit the store to really get a glimpse at how hot they are. The website doesn't do justice at all:

And this set I actually picked up despite the v-string being an "eyepatch." I think it's gorgeous:

They didn't have that violet though. I settled for the midnight.

So, yep, that was my day. Underwear. It was a good day.
I think I've gone through have of my purchases today just to model for myself. :P

Oh, the chick at the top of this post is Jessica Difeo. I think she's some nude model and non-porn queen. But I could be wrong. She was hot so I put her up top to draw attention before I totally lost readers when I began mentioning my fat legs and cradling my bits. LOL

The Forbes online version cited Rain (real name Jung Ji-hoon) as one of the world’s top stars in its article “10 Celebs and Their Cells.” The global business and financial news provider introduced Rain as Korea’s answer to Justin Timberlake and reported that Samsung chose him to represent its cell phones in Asia in the run-up to the Beijing Olympics. Rain has been a major sales draw in the Chinese, Hong Kong and Taiwanese mobile phone markets as a spokesperson for Samsung’s cell phones. He has also promoted laptops by LG Electronics.

Forbes also cited world-famous stars such as tennis champion Maria Sharapova, soccer star David Beckham, singer Usher, and Hong Kong movie star Andy Lau for promoting Sony-Ericsson, Motorola and LG Shine Phone. The report illustrated the important role celebrities play in marketing cell phones.

Earlier this year, Korean pop music, or K-pop, had made the Forbes list of 20 trends sweeping the globe. The article had mentioned Rain as the leading entertainer leading the K-pop wave. Rain has started filming “Ninja Assassin” opposite Naomie Harris since the release of his first Hollywood film “Speed Racer.” “Ninja Assassin” is a martial arts film produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers, who also produced “Speed Racer” and “Matrix.”

Oh man! Is this plastic surgery gone bad? Hah! Not really.

I couldn't believe this was Rain in the beginning, but sure was. I can see Jung Ji Hoon through his bloody face and hair. Rain still managed to tickle his fans with his hot physique amidst the bloody wounds. This photo was a scene from his upcoming Hollywood movie, Ninja Assassin.

Speaking of his latest movie, Rain will appear in Comic-Con in San Diego, CA this coming July 24th to promote his 2nd Hollywood movie. His first Hollywood appearance was in the movie Speed Racer as Tae Jo.

I haven't seen Speed Racer due to bad reviews (I didn't want to waste my bucks for a movie that sucks) but hopefully this time I will be able to see Ninja Assassin regardless of.... anything. He sure looks good on this one though (body wise).

Good Luck Rain!

There is more to BI than Data Warehouse

Data Warehouse and BI are considered synonymous. The reality is that Data Warehouse is one of the components of BI. There are many more components, which are needed to be in place for an actionable BI platform from an IT perspective. These elements are:

OLAP server- This is a multi-dimensional database, which provides extensive analytical capabilities. It sits between data-warehouse and the end-user tools. It picks data from Data Warehouse, summarize it and store it in its OLAP multi-dimensional database. The OLAP database is designed in a way that it helps analytics and other BI functions. OLAP has wide range of pre-built analytical functions, which can be used by users or application which are accessing it.

Enterprise Reporting- These set of tools, provide enterprise level (mostly scheduled) reporting. These tools take their data from OLAP or directly from Data Warehouse. OLAP typically has summary data. When you need detailed transaction level data, one will have to take it from Data Warehouse. In the past BI was typically used only for analysis. However, as Data Warehouse and OLAP combination is expanding its use, enterprise reporting tools have started using DW+OLAP as the source.

Query and Analytics Tools- These are the tools, which enable you to do wide range of analysis. This typically deals with summary data (you would not look for individual transactions in our analytics). The good part of many BI platforms is that they enable you to drill down to the transaction level, if you need to investigate into details. This means that in the back-end, you move from OLAP (summary) database to the detailed data warehouse database.

Performance Management Tools- This is the world of Dashboards, scorecards, setting standards, goals, reporting on the performance variance etc. This breed of tools, enable you to manage the functional or enterprise performance, and link it to analytics and enterprise reporting. Therefore, if you have a dip in performance, you can do analytics to find the root cause, and use reporting to list the transactions which are contributing to the same.

Data Mining Tools- While the above three end-user tools (reporting, analytics and performance management) are core to an organization's BI capability, Data Mining is the next level of sophistication. These are knowledge discovery tools, which generate patterns, trends and co-relations on the data.

Business Modeling tool- These tools enable you to create models (like pricing models, actuarial models, business planning models, sales projection model...).

Therefore, when your vendor states that they offer BI solution, do check on what components are they offering. While there are end-to-end BI platforms like SAS and Business Objects, there are many vendors, which provide competitive individual components.

Hal sama dikatakan Edison Sianturi, Wakil Ketua Komisi A DPRD Sumut.

there’re abundant of data, but we (still) lack of information

there're abundant of data, but we (still) lack of information

Nah dalam konteks TI, BI merupakan "technologies, applications and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information and sometimes to the information itself."

Lalu apa pentingnya BI, apa gunanya?

*baru mendapat pencerahan, what's all about*
