The lunacy of following that rule to the letter without considering the reason it exists - to avoid mess - was compounded by the fact that Samantha Corbridge was feeding her baby as it was crying with hunger. Which would the job centre prefer, that the baby cry, that its mother be unable to look for a job or that everyone get along with what they were doing without disturbing each other? Perhaps the member of staff who was so anal is in the wrong job. Traffic warden sounds like a far more appropriate post to me.

On Saturday I really couldn't be bothered going out, but KB was coming through from Edinburgh and I really couldn't cancel.  She was here with people from her work anyway but I was really looking forward to seeing her and I know she was looking forward to seeing me too.  What a pain it was to get there though.... only a short train ride from my house to Glasgow city centre but the pub was in Partick which meant I then had to get on the subway and when I got off the subway I had no clue where the pub was and walked around for ages.  Found it eventually though and it was sooooooooooooooooo good to see K :D She used to go out with AM's pal R, and when we lived through there we all spent a lot of time together and actually at one point the 4 of us went out looking for flats together.  It never happened but I think it would of been a great laugh if we had ended up all living together :) I thought I was looking really nice last night, I was feeling good :) I wore kinda baggy/bootcut ripped light jeans, hot pink long vest and my little navy blue leather jacket with 3/4 length sleeves.  I had my hair down and my fringe was great, my make up was nice too, lots of Benefit & Urban Decay.  I got a good reception from the Edinburgh boys/men - nice wee confidence booster which I was really needing.  We talked for a long time in between laughing at the crazy woman in the barely there red dress which was far too dressy for the pub (and far too tarty for anything else actually!) who was soooooooooo drunk and wouldn't get off the karaoke.  We had a great chat and I'm planning to go through and stay with her for a weekend.  Definitely going through there for Halloween weekend, maybe see her again before that but will def be there that weekend, so need to decide what to dress up as!!!  She'll probably be a vampire she said.  I left in time to catch the last subway & train, but I couldn't remember where the subway station was so I decided to walk all the way from Partick to the city centre :O so silly of me; really shouldn't go walking about myself in the city at that time of night.  It was good n busy everywhere though n I kept to the main roads.

When I was leaving one of the guys said I was "a wee cracker" and K said "She is isn't she?!" awwww awwww awwww :) MM phoned me when I was walking down the road and we were both a bit tipsy.  He was telling me how amazing he thinks I am <3 and since that guy called me a wee cracker I asked him if he thought I was a wee cracker...... he said "No I don't think you're a wee cracker because you can buy crackers in Asda and you can't buy you, you're so much better that that, you're priceless" Awwwww so sweet :) and he said lots of other nice things too but I can't remember them all.  I've spoken to him today too.  He was at the game and then out.  He starts his new job in Edinburgh tomorrow so I think he's actually went home early for a change ha ha.  Mum & dad wanted help round the house today so I couldn't go n watch the game but I could of went out after it I just couldn't be bothered.  I made my room look pretty, had dinner and then a shower, and now I'm sitting here.  And MM is just off the phone :) going to moisturise and then dry my hair, and then watch a film in bed or something.  Just relax :) xoxo

this annual concert series was begun in the Golden State [cali-for-ni-ay] to honor the memory of Black Panther Party member, George Jackson, who was assasinated in 1971. Aside from being a dope orgy-in-your-ear event, the overall aim of the concert is to raise awareness of the ongoing struggle for human rights and politicize the young minds that come out every year. Goals include:

• Raising awareness of political prisoners and prisoners of war in the US
• Educating Black and Brown people of the legacy of freedom fighters in the struggle for our liberation

I see the call signs of big business looming at the chance to enter the doors of this community ~ they are always the same. 

It starts with the good 'ol boys that sit on the council and have close door meetings.  It starts with the increase of property taxes. (Push the ones who cannot afford it out.) It starts with silencing the voices that oppose the entry of such businesses. (Wait to get more people in that want "it" or just let them die naturally. Big business can wait ~ Look at Exxon and the case in Alaska.)

I'm going to hover around the silencing of voices. 

What happens, how does it happen? A motion is brought before everyone who lives in the community/town, and it is presented with the idea of "more of this and that" - jobs.  The people caught onto that years ago, so there was another avenue created.  Hit the council(s).  Basically, buy them off.  Make the close door sessions and execute without voting. How can this be?  Simple.  It is the idea of the people thinking they have that right to vote "no" or "yes" if they chose.  A waiting game has been created - all the while the trucks are loaded and ready to go.  (Translate this into Congress. Do they really vote for you? When was the last time a congressman had an open door policy with the people they represent?)

I started out this blog with the word "Truth".  My offer that is going to be public very soon here and it is going to cause turmoil.  But it is going to shake things up a little ~  Just enough to really stick a thorn in someones side so they have to find another avenue or just do what they have been paid to do already. 

I am going to offer the people --- truth and not be paid for giving it to them.  If the information is presented so everyone can see the ride that they have been taken for years has been to the benefit of the few and not the many - there is going to be turmoil.  Remember I live in the sticks - people out here are armed - heavily. 

People know how to reach compromise for the success and quality of life.  If we didn't, there is no way that the World would have been allowed to continue as it has.  It really only takes one.  I like being a little horn from time to time and I love standing up for myself and a good battle.  I'm nice, too nice as I am reminded, because I still give persons a chance.  So, I do this again, on a bigger scale and will offer/challenge to the council(s) to present the truth and give them the chance to actually do the right thing before I continue forward on a path to this endeavor. 

People can work together. People can compromise.  People can understand.  People can make a difference. (Whether it is short lived or lived out all the way.)

People know that it is possible to live out here without the conveniences of modern day.  Hell, it is why they live out here. The community itself has been kept from the damages of several hurricanes that have crossed it.  How? The trees, a natural barrier, are still standing to protect us. The community itself has been kept from the damages of drought. How? The water lines have not been diverted or tainted.  The community knows that if they lose the voice of "no this cannot be allowed" - in 10 years or less now - there is no more country ~ there is no more silence ~ there is no more barriers of protection ~ there is no more nature ~ there is no more quality of life.  Hence ~ history will write the same page, just with different names, all in the name of progress. 

Be a thorn ~ I know I have said this before ~ even if you don't "win" you are going to get that seed planted.

In addition to crude oil import concerns, the U.S. oil refining industry is operating near capacity. Two-thirds of the oil used in the United States goes to support our transportation sector. By the late-1980s, the transportation sector used more oil than was produced domestically. The last new domestic refinery was constructed in the 1970s.
Currently Hydrogen is the best hope we have for energy independence.
In addition the conversion to hydrogen as an energy source will reduce the cost of electric production while at the same time cleaning up the pollutants in our atmosphere. This is a complete win-win situaton. It is a shame that this concept had not been employed 50 years ago!
Hammer away at Congress and make sure they know you want this development to continue. Just as President Kennedy got the space project going. The related technology that we now enjoy and benefit from, is the result of national direction and support by all sectors.

Investments in stocks involve good amount of risks unless one knows the pulses of the share market. But at the same time the lure of quick gains have always been inviting new and new investors or traders to the stock market. I have been involved with share trading for quite sometime now and these few years have gave me some amount of experience in this field.

Not that I am a very active trader or investor, as I utilize only part of my free times in trading shares and I am basically a service holder, but I have tried several avenues of investing in shares like medium-term investments in blue-chip shares as well as penny shares to quicker ones like day-trading, futures & options etc. Nevertheless, I admit that overall I am in loss as I am still in the process of growing. But in the same breadth I also feel that even if this is a risky avenue of earning wealth the prospects of generating wealth is huge provided one learns from his previous investment experience and doesn’t keep repeating their earlier mistakes. The world of investing in stocks seems to be all about learning from the past investment experience, having some patience with one’s investments, not panicking during tough times, having reasonable knowledge about the market and the stocks where one is invested in or likely to invest, etc. etc.

Another very important fact is to have prudent guidance from successful, technically sound and proven players which nowadays are available in the form of professional stock investment service providers. All one needs to do is subscribe to their services by paying some amount and get tips from them routinely. They are in plenty and not difficult to find out. However, not all of them are what they claim to be. So, one needs to be careful in choosing one out of the lot. After all, it seems no one is absolute expert in this highly unpredictable field. Its more about being more consistent than others. Aim is to minimize losses and maximize profits by shrewd investment ideas which could be one’s own or could be from the stables of such service providers or some other mentor’s.

In spite of the risk factors involved in this highly volatile avenue of stock trading, my experience says that once one is involved in this field for sometime it is difficult to give it up even if one is making losses. The prospect of making gains in the future, which is not illusionary provided one learns to adopts the right approach from experience and shrewd guidance, is always there and it is that prospect of unlimited earning from the comfort of your own nest that keeps one hooked to this risky yet interesting avenue of generating wealth. All one needs are a computer, an internet connection and a share trading account which can be clubbed with a bank and demat accounts. None of these are difficult to get or is expensive. However, while choosing one’s broker one should be aware of the services rendered by them and other factors like cost of buying and selling stocks as these varies from broker to broker and finally transaction costs are the major costs involved in the process in due course of time. Some broking facilities come with real cheap transaction costs.

As already mentioned, one should also have their own knowledge about stocks and the overall market pulses. This may be achieved by reading financial newspapers, journals etc or viewing business TV channels. What I have observed is that internet also is turning out to be a huge source of such information. One could find out such information, ideas etc. from the internet by periodical searching of the net which is also not al all difficult. These virtually free information and ideas, if properly absorbed and used, could in fact be more useful than the services provided by a professional in due course of time.

There are plenty of websites which provide stock trading ideas and tips free. One can always try these tips and ideas by investing small amounts and thus come to know which websites suits them more. Most of these websites are useful in some way or the other. However, it is not advisable to follow any such information blindly and go for huge investments based solely on such info. It is always prudent to check the authenticities of these information from other websites or sources before going for investment based on these. Experience generally teaches all these matters during the course of one’s trading venture. There seem to be no absolutely perfect ideas or tips for this avenue as all these may work at times and may also fail at some other time. One needs to keep on trying discretely till one gets the pulses of these and gets comfortable with his overall investment process over a reasonable span of time.

Initial losses seem to be a must for new investors unless they are backed by some real smart mentors. Bringing down the losses gradually and then generating profits may be a key to success in this avenue. Once one starts generating profits more frequently than losses, one is most probably into the exciting career of trading in securities where sky is the limit where one could generate good income from a minor capital and thus start creating wealth for oneself from the comfort of one’s home without dealing with the hustles involved in other avenues of income. You are on your own now. Trade whenever you like and go for vacation whenever you want a break. Nobody is there to stop you and it’s your life now true to its meaning.

Nevertheless, that does not imply that one does not need a systematic approach to this avenue of income. In fact, that is the essence of sustaining in this profession and yet one can still enjoy a real independent career or lifestyle as compared to most other careers. That is the beauty of it once one graduates to a successful trader or investor. That’s no mean feat however. Money, after all, does not grow on trees. At least I have not been able to be one so far and nor have I decided to become a full-fledged investor as of now. However, I have been trying and improving in this field gradually and would love to have this as my profession one day, if only I could.
