Despite my occasionally high-faluting language and pretense at being slightly learned and intellectu

Despite my occasionally high-faluting language and pretense at being slightly learned and intellectual, I am ultimately one of those people amused by simple things. Shiny things, funny things, and even occasionally *gasp* puns can make me giggle. Today, it was my lunch that did it; luckily, it was tasty and filling as well as amusing, and it seemed to get my coworkers curious too.

I figured I'd sign up for this Tiffin thing I'd seen around. Occasionally I could see the little guy on the trike riding around with his box of lunches from my window and I always wanted to know how it worked. Tiffins, for those not in the know, is a system of delivering hot lunches designed in India. And knowing that I'd probably be buying my lunch for the next few weeks due to a busy after-work schedule, I thought I might give it a try; after all, it was going to end up cheaper for me than buying my lunch at the canteen or at the take-away places nearby and it sounded like a pretty good deal.

I signed up yesterday, and today, midday on the dot, I got the call from reception to say my lunch had arrived. And my lunch was cute! This little pastel yellow stack of containers sitting on the counter downstairs, looking more like something out of a children's playset than lunch, was waiting patiently for me when I arrived. So up I went to our tea room, got the crossword from the paper ('cause I'm a nerd and a compulsive one at that), and tried to work out how to undo this lunchstack. Wasn't as easy as it looks, but let's face it, twist tops and unscrewables have always been my nemesis; but in the end, I did beat it and came upon a naan, a yellow dahl with spinach, a kofta manchurian type thing (very spicy!) and some rice. My work colleagues, upon seeing me with my crossword and my lunch all neatly laid out, were convinced I had gone to all that effort to prepare a feast and found it really funny when I told them what it was. And feast it was, as I couldn't finish it, but I suspect I may have been given a large serve instead of the small I ordered. Either way, it was filling, tasty, and kept me going through to my bellydance class this evening (and it was tribal intro. Tribal intro = a lot of hard work!).

But the best part? When I was washing up afterwards I could hear all this rattling and found another compartment under the rice - inside was a little baby spoon!

Ahhh, cute lunch!

But lunch aside, it's been a pretty busy weekend for me. My concert at Carni went really well, and I got to spend the weekend playing dress-ups which was great. I haven't done that in so long! Saturday I got to don my new gothic lolita stuff for a friend's birthday drinks . . . sure it was just at a local bar, but I haven't had an excuse to goth up in ages. And for Sunday night, I got a new top, new hip scarf (or "jingle skirt", as I like to call them), and new "bellydance bling" - a huge silvery neckpiece with matching earrings - from the OMEDA market in Preston. (Sometimes I wonder if the only reason I'm doing bellydance is an excuse to dress up, but then I realise it's not just that.) The main drawback was I pretty much just haemorrhaged money throughout the weekend, and money I couldn't really afford to lose, but hell, I don't get to scrub up very often and it was a nice change from looking like a dag like I do most days.

Anyway, the Hafla . . . it went really well and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun (including my cheer squad!). It was pretty relaxed and by all accounts my group did really well, even though I don't think I did my best and I kept blanking out at times forgetting what comes next. People were clapping along through out dance so that was really encouraging. It was also great to see other dancers, including the Underbelly Tribal Fusion Troupe (um, drool . . . I want to dance like that!) and DrumDance were fantastic. They were even playing/dancing in 7/4 (or 7/8?) - how cool! I'm a sucker for irregular time signatures.

Anyway, the whole night was a fantastic ego-boost and I'm keen to keep dancing. I grew up surrounded by ballet and girls who were really, really good at it (i.e., my sister), so knowing that I'm actually good at any form of dance is a huge achievement for me, considering I've always been typecast in the role of the fatter, weirder, ungraceful older sister role (and for good reason!). If I can scrape together any pictures people have taken of the night I'll post them here, otherwise you'll have to take my word for it - it was a fun night.

I was too distracted to give an update on my belly dance classes on Tuesday. To be honest, the class sucked. But it sucked cause my head was somewhere else at the time.

Still, I’m practicing doing shimmying and hand movements at the same time in my spare time. I’m also integrating some of the moves I’ve learned into my exercise routine.

Something interesting I read though is that male belly dancing was once pretty normal. The dancers would sometimes crossdress, not cause they were crossdressers, but because females weren’t allowed to perform in those days, so they filled the gap.
Male belly dancing was banned at some point, not cause it was seen as too effeminate, but because arguments over which male belly dancing troupe was the best would sometimes end in violence! Interesting.

So it’s been 3 weeks since I wrote anything and rather than do a big long catch up, I’ll

So it's been 3 weeks since I wrote anything and rather than do a big long catch up, I'll try to keep it short and sweet.

I hurt my leg playing kickball. It sucked. The boy and I are in a kickball league and I hurt my quad kicking the ball, and I played through the pain and ended up spraining it pretty bad. Now, everyone gets hurt, but it made me fell fat and ugly and out of shape and I was really mad at myself for not working out more. But I got over it and at our game last week kicked ass and we finally won our first game. So yay me!

I had my first belly dancing class. I sucked. I didn't expect to "get it" the first time, and I am fully aware of my lack of natural rhythm, but I just felt such a disconnect with my body, and I hated it. I would tell my hip to go up, and it would go down. I would tell my neck to move forward and it would go sideways. And don't even get me started on the body rolls. For some reason this made me feel huge and I was really unhappy with the size of my body. However, I am going to keep going back, and I know, slowly but surely, it will come.

Because of the above I decided to go on a diet. Yeah, I know. The good news is I never actually got around to dieting, because I kept talking myself out of it.

BadMe: You really need to go on a diet.

GoodMe: Diets don't work.

BM: It'll work this time, You just need to be disciplined and cut out carbs. And exercise alot.

GM: I like carbs.

BM: They're making you fat.

GM: No I believe my fat is what makes me fat, now fuck off.

Of course it was alot more than just that, but I was able to overcome the "demons" so to speak and not diet. I am very proud of myself. And i do believe it is no coincidence that this post went up over at Kate Harding right in the middle of all this diet pressure. I don't think I can put into words how happy I am to have discovered the Fatoshere and all the awesome FA blogs.

So that's a quick catchup for now, I am going to take my sexy ass and go in the pool.

I like girly dancing. Maybe it’s a little weird, yeah, but I like dancing like a girl would. I like dancing alone to more girly songs. I don’t want to dance like a girl with a guy though; it’s just something I like doing alone.

I like the belly dancing I’m learning. Isolating muscles is pretty tough for me, but I still like it. Shimmying (is that how you spell it?) comes naturally to me for some reason though, I don’t find it tough at all, and my belly dancing teacher was surprised at how quickly I picked up even the advanced shimmying techniques!

I took a belly dancing class, and since I actually have many years of dance lessons behind my belt,

I took a belly dancing class, and since I actually have many years of dance lessons behind my belt, I decide I did quite well for a beginner, and decide to give Tomas a show. I wear a red skirt, a metallic belt with strings of coins hanging off, jingling with every move. And a black and red bra. For the first time ever, I’m barefoot, not in killer high heels as usual

As he leans back under the canopy of my bed, I put on some sensual Arabic music, and begin to dance. Start out with just moving my arms as if though they were snakes, and as the beat gets faster, I start to move my hips and belly in the way I was taught. I think I do quite well, later on he tells me he was absolutely mesmerized and totally lost track of time and space, while watching my body move. Cool! Make mental note to take advanced classes to make this even better.

Afterwards he compliments me, and then tells me to strip down, but to leave my black sheer panties and bra on. He tells me to turn around slowly, and ogles, gropes me, pinches me, and throws me down on the bed. For a while he’s soft and sensual while he kisses me and goes down on me and caresses my body. But of course as soon as I start to emit little moans and gasps of pleasure, he grabs me by the hair, pulls me onto the floor, and tells me to get on my knees. He takes out some rope, and slowly and meticulously binds my wrists together behind my back. Then he snakes the rope around and loops it around my legs in such a way that I can’t get out of a kneeling position.

He takes out the rhinestone studded riding crop, walks around me, and starts beating me with it. My ass, my back, my breasts, arms, he spares no part. As he continues, I start to flinch with each hit, this crop hurts, and it hurts bad. I can feel the welts emerging on my backside, with each smack they hurt more and more, they sting, like hot fire. He also slaps my face. Then just as I can’t take it anymore, he unties my wrists and tells me to put out my hand. He puts a glass on my outstretched palm. And says I have to do everything I can to make sure the glass doesn’t fall off my hand, because if it does, I’ll be lashed 20 times. 20 times! Oh god, if he hits me one more time I’ll die, but okay. And then a strange thing happens. Because I now have an object to concentrate on, as I kneel then and he continues hitting me, it starts to hurt less. And I don’t even flinch, I just take it. He lashes me everywhere, he even ‘accidentally’ nudges my arm so that the glass almost falls off, but I’m so focused that I maintain that balance. Sometimes, in between the strikes, he caresses me, touches and fingers and kisses me, but I retain my focus. In fact, I seem to go into some sort of a trance, a subspace, and when I started writing about it this morning I actually couldn’t remember this at first, he had to remind me what happened. Like some sort of an amnesia. Fuckwitzism, he calls it.

After a while (how long?) he decides I’ve had enough, tells me I’m a good girl for doing such a good job with the glass, and as a reward I can suck his cock, as long as I take it all the way in. We do that for a while, until I start to gag and drool, at which point he grabs me by the hair and just shoves it in and I almost throw up. All this time he says things to me, but I don’t remember what. That I’m a whore? A bitch? That I love cock? That I want more than one in me? Who knows. I think he spits on me too.

Later on he moves me to the bed, ties my wrists to the bedpost, tells me to spread my legs and eats me out for at least 30 minutes if not more (he tells me later on, for I had lost track of time completely). He does it softly and gently at first, and then essentially just fucks me hard with his tongue, with several fingers in me, and his chin adding to the pressure. And each time I start to come he stops, and spanks my pussy. At first with his hand, and then using the crop. And strangely enough this turns me on more than anything. Then he goes back to the slow and gentle stuff, then harder, then on the brink again the pussy spanking. Fast medium smacks, as well as slow hard ones. And as I lay there exposed you’d think this would be unbearable but to me it is not. It is amazing. When he finally tells me that I’m allowed to come, and I am on the brink, I actually ask him to spank me one more time, and he does, and it hurts, yet it’s strangely erotic. Then in goes his tongue and fingers and chin for one last time and I have an orgasm that lasts longer than any I can remember, and is so powerful I almost pass out. Mega orgasm he calls it. And when I’m at the point where it’s so sensitive that I want him off me, I start to fight him to get him away, but he keeps going, at least 5 more minutes after the orgasm, until I’m completely raw and numb at the same time.

Of course we’re nowhere near done. He starts to fuck me, but slower than ever, literally at a snail’s pace, probably one thrust per minute. That slow. Is this what tantric sex is like? I wonder. After half an hour of this teasing, I can’t take it anymore and start grinding my hips faster into him, until I come again, another mega orgasm. He comes as well, inside me, in a very loud way, I always worry about who might hear him. Despite that, he’s still hard, and so he then flips me over, and fucks me from behind hard, then up my ass for the grand finale. He comes again, and I realize no one’s ever come in my ass before. He laughs and tells me I’ve been double stuffed. I pass out for a bit.

Much later, as he’s leaving, he can’t find his wedding band, which lately he’s been taking off whenever he spends time with me. He searches my apartment for at least 20 minutes, and at first I help him, but then I’m like – this is great! I’m full of malicious glee, and I secretly hope he really did lose it. I pretend to look for it but deep down I hope I don’t find it. Though I understand why he needs to remain with Mugabe (what I call his wife) for a while longer (because of the baby), I still hate it. Hate that he always leaves. Hate that there’s never enough time. Anyways, he ends up finding it in some overlooked pocket, and I don’t hide my disappointment. This is a sign I declare. He kisses me goodnight and rides off into the night.

Bellydance class last night was truly an exercise in discomfort. First things first...I got pulled to the front of the class. Kate (who shall be known as the chicken for the remainder of this post) slid over the other corner at the back. I should tell you that for the past one and a half years we've been in bellydance we have taken up the rear corner as our post...every. single. class.

Why? Because then we don't accidently catch horrifying glimpses of ourselves in the giant walls of mirrors that surround us. Anyway...

Fine I'll go by myself to the front of the class, right behind our teacher. The advantages of dancing right behind the teacher...

I can't see past her to see myself in the mirror.

She doesn't watch me as closely since she doesn't have eyes in the back of her head.

Nobody else likes to be up front so I didn't knock anyone out with my flailing arms.

And it was hot in that room last night. Like h.o.t...HOT! Sweat was pooling in places it had no business pooling. It was even dripping of my nose. Ugh...nothing quite like shaking your shimmy in a sauna.

It may have been hot, but as always it was fun. But hot.

Simon Blaise will be present along with BDSM performers Cirque de Sade. Joining in the action on the stage will include pervy performers PKL Industries.

''Kinky Summer will be a one-of-a-kind event that merges entertainment with kinky crafts'' said Rev. Mel, the event's producer and founder of TalkingSexRadio.com. ''It's also a great opportunity for anyone interested in the kink lifestyle to celebrate their freedom of speech and expression.''

Vendors are lining up to show off their latest sexy, kinky and fetish products. Morphine Magazine and Hillary's Vanity are exhibiting. Max Leather Byrd, Taboo Leather, inTENSe Delights, BunnyFloggers and a and K Woodcrafts are just a few of the skilled BDSM crafters bringing their hand-made wares for the kindest cruelty. For the daring, Jeff the Body Painter will be on hand to provide free body painting.

''Why go to the beach when you can go to Kinky Summer?'' joked Rev. Mel. ''It definitely won't be your grandmother's crafts fair.''

The fun begins Sunday, July 13th at 11:00 A.M. at Lair De Sade, 6628 Lankershim Blvd. In North Hollywood. The festivities will continue until the sun sets around 9:00 P.M. Advance tickets are available online at www.talkingsexradio.com/kinkysummer.html for just $10. Tickets at the door will be $15.

''Where else can you get so much kinky fun for such a low price?'' added Rev. Mel.

Volunteers are still needed. Those interested helping make Kinky Summer a sunny success should e-mail volunteers@talkingsexradio.com.

For more details about Kinky Summer, whip your browser to www.talkingsexradio.com/kinkysummer.html. Media and vendor information is available by e-mailing info@talkingsexradio.com.

Well, yesterday I had my first belly dancing lesson … and it was pretty cool actually.
Of course, I was nervous and a bit tight but things went better than I expected.

We did some posture and dance basics (which I found pretty tough actually). I’ll need to work on posture through the week, so these lessons actually go beyond belly dancing.

Anyway, something else: dancing requires a new way of thinking. I’m pretty new to it all, but I like the challenge of thinking in new ways. I’ll also need to loosen my body up … a lot!
Also, the teacher was cool.

In summary: I’m going again next week. :)

For the past month I have been up to my eyeballs in Hula skirts for the dance troupe's upcoming halfa. While I have enjoyed every bit of it, I am tired of the repetition. Here is one of the 18 skirts. They are beautiful. I can hardly wait to see them on the girls all at once.

Finally! I start belly dancing next week Tuesday!
It’s taken a while for various reasons, some in my hands, others not.
I guess I did stall a bit cause I’m scared I’ll be seen as a weirdo, I’m also scared I’ll sort of lose my credibility as a guy – but hey, what the heck.

Am I nervous … yes! Do I care about what people will think … yes! :(
But for some reason, I fully intend going! :)

Fitness belly dancing that is!

One of the things I've always wanted to try out was Belly Dancing, but somehow I never had the time. This art of dance has always intrigued me because it looked almost exotic and very graceful and feminine. In addition, I heard that it could also benefit the body and health in more ways than one. Here are just some of the supposed benefits of Belly Dancing that I've gathered:

1. It can improve posture and build the back muscles evenly. This is something I (and perhaps many people) especially need because I tend to hunch at times.

2. It tones the overall body. When we are in static positions most of the day, especially when we have a lot of work, we don't use our muscles as much as they need to be used. Hence, they can become flabby or weak. Belly dancing is a lovely form of exercise that can tone our muscles in our enjoyable way.

3. It can reduce stress! To many people, belly dancing is a great stress reliever and one exercise that allows them to let go and be free of the negative thoughts for the whole session.

4. It can aid weight loss. More than anything, belly dancing is an exercise that burns the extra calories we have eaten within the day. No wonder more and more gyms are offering belly dancing classes.

What do you know about belly dancing? :)

Image from this site.
