First off i wish shit like this would stop airing, these future Bad Girls Club cunts are a waste of this worlds air. The parents of children like this all new a swift kick in the ass. If your child is like one of these little cunts, then that means you are a horrible parent, plain and simple. The show is garbage and the girls are fake. I want to see a show that takes girls and guys like these cunts and put them through some military training or even in another part of the (third) world. Then i bet you start seeing some real change in them. Giving them money for being on T.V is part of the problem not the solution. Sorry the-n network, I still love my Degrassi.

Family Says Airline Left Them Stranded At Airport

POSTED: 10:30 am PDT July 6, 2008

UPDATED: 11:01 am PDT July 6, 2008

SEATAC, Wash. — A woman with two disabled children said her family was left stranded by Southwest Airlines on their way to Seattle. Wendy Slaughter was traveling with her four children and her five-months pregnant sister Friday on a Southwest Airlines flight from Detroit to Seattle. One of Slaughter’s children has autism and she also has a daughter with cerebral palsy. When the family landed in Phoenix they were met at the gate by police officers, detained and told they were too disruptive to get on their connecting flight to Seattle, Slaughter said. Slaughter said they were left stranded at the Phoenix airport with no money and no lodging. This was the first flight for the children.

Slaughter admitted the children were loud and kept getting up and walking around the plane.“The children were out of control on the flight you know, they were restless, excited and worked up and they are kids,” said Slaughter. The family said flight attendants asked them to quiet the children twice, but they didn’t expect to be booted off the flight “I am furious about it. I can’t believe they could do something like that and then leave us completely stranded with no money no way to get anywhere,” Slaughter said.

Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Christi Day told KIRO-7:”They were being disruptive and unruly on the plane, and for the safety of our customers and the flight crew, we decided to not allow them to travel on to Seattle at that time. Typically if it’s a threatening behavior, it’s not safe to travel 30,000 feet in the air in a contained environment.” The family said police officers bought them food and Motel 6 donated a hotel room for the night. The children’s grandmother said she had to pay $2,000 to book last-minute tickets on Alaska Airlines. They said they didn’t have any problems on that three-hour flight. The family said they want Southwest Airlines to compensate them and give a public apology.

I love people and companies that actually enforce a consequence for behavior. This family is absolutely “outraged” that they were kicked off the plane! They freely admit that they were told twice to calm their little brats down but didn’t do so. Ok, so two of the kids are disabled. Excuse me if I call that a poor fucking excuse. What about the other ones? I don’t think it was your kid with cerebral palsy running around the plane making a ruckus.

And bring on the hate mail and comments but what guess what this “family” consisted of? Outraged mom who can’t control her 4 kids and her sister. Where’s Daddy? Who knows. It probably doesn’t matter because apparently nobody does any type of parenting since they simply excuse the kids behavior despite the fact they knew they were in the wrong. You can see an interview of the family on KIRO TV’s site. They look like a bunch of winners.

So kudos to Southwest. They did the right thing in invoking consequences for bad behavior. Hell to boot they refunded the tickets for the family but did not issue an apology. A big middle finger to KIRO TV for positioning this story as a “big bad corporation mistreats poor innocent defenseless family” case. The corporation clearly took steps to avoid the family from being booted from their flight which they promptly either ignored or could not comply with. This is why no one speaks up when bad behavior is occurring. Instead of telling someone what they are doing is inappropriate, they ignore it because if you speak up you will be vilified. “How dare you tell me how to raise my kids!!” Well ma’am because you probably should be on a genitalia repossession program anyway.

So to my fair readers, please purchase Southwest’s services whenever possible. You should be doing this anyway since all the other airlines are absolutely terrible, cost more and are never on time. But at least on Southwest you won’t have to put up with some whiny woman’s uncontrollable retarded children."

As many people who pay attention to local news and politics know, there has been a storm brewing bet

As many people who pay attention to local news and politics know, there has been a storm brewing between local weekly City Beat and a, pardon my french, bullshit organization known as the CCV, or Citizens for Community values. Back in early June the CCV asked City Beat to eliminate their Adult Services classifieds as an effort to better our community. They held a news conference, to which City Beat wasn't invited, publicly asking City Beat to make these changes. That's real fair guys.

Thankfully, since then, City Beat hasn't backed down. Cincinnati has a bit of a history of this "Community" bullying and frankly it needs to stop. Today City Beat took a huge step and filed a federal lawsuit against the CCV citing violation of their First Amendment rights. CCV claims that this is just an intimidation tactic by City Beat. To boil it down, even if it is intimidation, who cares CCV, you started this.

First of all, eliminating the ads is really a case of missing the forest for the trees. Whether the ads are there or not won't change the fact that I still see prostitutes all along Liberty every night. What is it, the world's oldest profession? Stopping ads won't stop something like that. Maybe your focus shouldn't be a local weekly (that's right, not a tabloid, a weekly) but the root of the problem. The ads wouldn't exist without what they are providing.

Secondly, Cincinnati is really trying to present itself in a different light right now. It's taking a long time to get past that Mapplethorpe hating, race-riot having, image that we've been wallowing in. If we want to survive as a city, even surpass what we are, we need to be seen as a progressive city. Your ridiculous, religiously-influenced bullying isn't helping anything. Now, I'd be a real asshole to suggest that Adult Service classifieds are the sign of a progressive city. It's your bible-thumping pursuit for "community values", on the other hand, that's really hurting us. Trying to bully a left-leaning city weekly (an institution in any good-for-something city) is just trying to hold back what the city could really be. Maybe that's what you want, I don't know, but I have a feeling your naive criticisms aren't helping anyone except yourself. Is this the sort of thing that justifies your own personal demons? The thing that makes you feel better about whatever you do when no one else is looking?

Finally, it's all up to the parents. Clearly you recognize that these ads exist. Sex exists, prostitution exists, it's all out there in the open if you want to find it. You know what you do then? You take responsibility for your own brood. You don't pick up City Beat and leave it around the house. If you see your child reading it on the couch and he or she is getting dangerously close to those back pages, you take it away from them. You can't pad the world. Some things are just going to be dangerous in this world and it's YOUR job to protect your child from them, not City Beat's.

So congratulations City Beat, you've made me proud to be back here, proud that someone isn't putting up with the Cincinnati "leader's" bullying. It makes you guys an agent for change in this city's dusty leadership. Take this thing to the top! In fact, make things bawdier in the future. It's OK to work blue.

CCV, stay out of my weekly. Let's face it, selling sex is part of our city's history

Love,

John

City Beat's own updates on the situation.

CCV's response. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

The first election I remember was Carter vs. Ford. I voted for Ford in the Weekly Reader poll, though my decision had nothing to do with politics. I hate(d) peanuts. Carter was a peanut farmer. Thus, I became an enthusiastic supporter of the accidental president.

Cute, perhaps, but you think the Robbins-Sarandons would let their enlightened children hang out with a little fascist like me?

Fortunately, today's parents have help, thanks to delightful polemics like *"Goodnight Bush" (with foreword by Paul Begala):

The cover of “Goodnight Bush” looks almost exactly like “Goodnight Moon — green and orange, with an image of a window and fireplace — and uses a similar rhyme scheme. But there the thematic similarities end.

The authors, Erich Origen and Gan Golan, set their story in “a situation room.” There is no bunny snuggling into bed, but rather George W. Bush, grinning and wearing a “Mission Accomplished” flight suit. Instead of three little bears sitting on chairs, there are “war profiteers giving three cheers.”

Subsequent pages tell of “A grand old party to war in a rush/And a quiet Dick Cheney whispering hush.” The vice president is illustrated seated in a rocking chair — with a shotgun in his lap and bunny slippers on his feet.

"River, tell the Guptas how the president trampled the Constitution."

*Conservatives are just as guilty -- witness the subtly titled "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!"

With the nation's libraries and classrooms filled with overtly liberal children's books advocating everything from gay marriage to marijuana use, kids everywhere are being deluged with left-wing propaganda. Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed! is the book conservative parents have been seeking.

Coming soon: Democratic Day Care, and Republican Summer Camp.

Now, the major source of your problem here is messy, negligent lazy parents. The whole source of the problem is parents who through fast food wrappers and cigarette butts out of the car windows. They little rug rats learn at an early age not just that the world is their ash try. Moreover, they learn the world is their rubbish bin as well. And when the little tykes get together it's almost a competition to see who can make the biggest mess.

The next thing you know the young lads and lasses are attending college and leaving the world's biggest mess at their earth day celebration as well as trashing their Global Warming teach-in.

Their are fines for throwing trash out of a moving vehicle. In my view that fine should go up when the vehicle contains a child because that parent is screwing up the next generation.

All venues should have two things in large supply. Plenty of toilets so know one is tempted to offend nature and plenty of trash receptacles so all excuses are gone

By the way, as long as we are going to indoctrinate kids about Global Warming why can't we get a word or two in about how throwing your trash anywhere but the trash bin is an immoral act. Let's have some meaningful brainwashing for once!

MONTERREY, Mexico (Reuters) - A Mexican woman and her three American daughters have been caught smug

MONTERREY, Mexico (Reuters) - A Mexican woman and her three American daughters have been caught smuggling $1.16 million worth of cocaine into Texas from Mexico, a rare case of a mother and her family trafficking drugs, U.S. customs said on Friday.

The four women stashed the cocaine under their clothes and inside their 2006 Mercedes Benz and tried to cross through the Brownsville, Texas entry port from eastern Mexico.

A sniffer dog alerted customs agents to the smell of cocaine emanating from the car and agents also noted unusual bulges under their clothes, finding cocaine packages on three of the four women.

"This is the first time in Texas we have faced a mother and her daughters smuggling drugs like this," a U.S. customs and border protection spokesman said.

The four women, who live in Brownsville, tried to escape back to Mexico but were quickly arrested.

As the Mexican military fights drug gangs in Mexico and the United States increases security along the border, traffickers are going to greater lengths to conceal small amounts of drugs, like in sealed beer cans or in car engine parts.

Unlike in the past, when smugglers were single men, drug cartels are also turning to people of all ages and walks of life, U.S. customs and border protection officials say.

BERLIN (AP) -- Authorities in southern Germany said Saturday they have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, the equivalent of $1.57.

Peter Hieber, a spokesman for police in the Bavarian town of Krumbach, said the baby was placed in the care of youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu region, although the child's 23-year-old mother insisted the ad was only a joke.

Authorities have launched an investigation into possible child trafficking against the baby's mother and 24-year-old father, neither of whom was identified.

"Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches (70 cm) long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller," police quoted the ad as reading.

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted on Tuesday. EBay later deleted the posting, but assisted police in tracking down the parents.

TMZ has learned David Archuleta's dad, Jeff, has been officially banned from "American Idol."

Here's how it went down. "Idol" sources tell TMZ Jeff has been a complete pain in the ass, interfering with the entire production. He has badgered producers, the band, vocal coaches and even other contestants. The final straw came this week, when Jeff wanted to change the lyrics to David's first song, "Stand By Me." Jeff insisted on adding a verse from Sean Kingston's hit, "Beautiful Girls." Producers sent him an e-mail telling him the lyrics could not be changed. They were beyond pissed when David sang the song with Kingston's lyrics during the live show.

We're told by changing the lyrics, it created problems with the song's publisher and cost "A.I." a lot of money.

Jeff was ordered to sit with "A.I." lawyers on Wednesday, who told him he was "banned from being in the rooms where David was learning or rehearsing his songs." It's "Idol's" position, since David is 17, he does not need a guardian -- just a teacher. Jeff will be allowed to sit in the audience during the live show but he's 86'd from anything backstage.

...goes to Mr & Mrs Side of Pork for allowing a lost tooth to go unrewarded. Needless to say, the tender early morning silence was broken with cries of "The Tooth Fairy didn't come!" Drama.

Leaving the tooth underneath the pillow used to be standard practice. Nowadays we have a special tooth pillow and also a tooth bear with pockets in the front. The Tooth Fairy obviously was confused, couldn't find the tooth among the many hiding spots, and decided she was not responsible for compensation without proof of liability. Either that or she fell asleep on the couch after watching '30 Rock.' I suppose she'll have to bring double the loot tonite.

UPDATE: The Tooth Fairy was merely delayed. According to the note left with the tooth, tornadoes in the South prevented the Tooth Fairy from arriving in the middle of the night. Instead, she showed up while the kid was at school. This was all very helpfully written out on an index card and stuffed in the tooth pillow. The kicker? It was signed "The tooth ferry." I guess spelling was never her forte.

OLPE, Germany — A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of killing three of her babies after their bodies were discovered in the family freezer by her grown children looking for pizza, police said Monday.

Police confirmed the grisly find Sunday night in the town of Wenden, near Olpe, in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia after the woman turned herself in, officials said.

The three infants are believed to have been born alive, but authorities were awaiting autopsy results to determine how they died, said Johannes Daheim, a spokesman for prosecutors investigating the case.

The woman, her 47-year-old husband and three adult children — two sons, aged 18 and 22, and a 24-year-old daughter — have lived in the town in a single-family home since 1984.

The children discovered the frozen babies on Saturday afternoon while their parents were away for the weekend, investigator Martin Feldmann said.

The 18-year-old and his sister had been looking for a frozen pizza and came across a lot of expired food so decided to clean out the freezer.

The teenager then found three identical packets on the bottom of the freezer and opened one and saw the head and arm of an infant that was wrapped in a hand towel, police said.

The children confronted their parents when they returned home Sunday, and the couple and their daughter then went to police together to tell authorities, said Herbert Fingerhut, head of the police investigation, at a news conference.

The corpulent woman apparently concealed the three pregnancies, believed to have been in the 1980s, not only from neighbors but also her own family, Fingerhut said.

"It sounds unbelievable, but there are examples showing such things are possible," he said.

The news of the discovery took other residents aback.

"I've been mayor for 14 years, and this is definitely the worst day I've seen," said Peter Brueser. "We will need a long time here to work through this."

It was the latest in a string of similar cases in Germany.

In the worst case, a woman was convicted of manslaughter in 2006 and sentenced to the maximum 15 years in prison for killing eight of her newborn babies and burying them in flower pots and a fish tank in the garden of her parents' home near the German-Polish border.

More recently, police in February were called to a home in northern Germany where a dead infant was discovered in the cellar.

In January, a 28-year-old German woman was charged with manslaughter after the remains of three babies were discovered in her house and the home of a relative. That woman has denied killing the babies.

So here goes:

MLI has been wanting to play golf with me, but he's too young to play actual golf. So I took him to the PGA Superstore (LOVE that place!) and bought him a little driver for kids. On Sunday, I took him to the driving range with me and we hit a few balls. I didn't want to do too much "teaching" the first time out, so I pretty much just let him sit there and hit the balls however he saw fit.

That done, we opted to go next door and play some mini-golf. This place has seen better days. Half of the astro-turf is threadbare and it's lined with bricks rather than actual cement, but it's cheap and MLE was more interested in looking at the large plaster animal characters than he was actually playing mini-golf.

As we neared the end, I explained to him that once we hit our balls in the last hole, they were going to disappear down a tunnel and our game would be over. This worried him, so I looked around to see if I could find where they collect the balls and sure enough, I found a wooden hatch about ten feet away. I walked over and opened it up and found several balls floating in about six inches of water. The hole was about 3' deep and 2.5' x 2.5' wide and the water was pretty nasty. I called MLE over to show him where the balls went once they went in the hole and he was excited to see his ball floating there.

But his attention quickly turned and he got up and went over to play on the alligator statue while I watched several large koi swimming in a small pool overlooked by a waterfall with a giant gorilla on top. The next thing I heard was a shrill scream. I turned around and didn't see MLE anywhere.

Suddenly it hit me...he'd opened the hatch and fallen into the ball collector hole. I ran over and opened the hatch and pulled MLE out screaming and crying. Other than a pretty good scratch on his arm and being pretty soaking wet, I think he was more scared than hurt. But as I'm standing there holding him and trying to calm him down, every news story and movie I've ever seen or read where someone fell in a well, flashed through my mind.

I thought about tiny Jessica McClure who fell in that well in '87

I thought about all the miners who have lost their lives deep underground

I thought about Lassie and Little Timmie

...and in the middle of all that, I suddenly found myself trying not to laugh at the situation MLE had gotten into. He had been curious and look where it got him. I wasn't laughing at his fear, I was laughing at the absurdity of it all and in the fact that, despite how scared he was, he was fine--and wet!

But looking back, I know that it could have been worse. What if that hole had been deeper? What if he had fallen in and really hurt himself? The "what if's" can drive you crazy. This could have been one of those sad stories you see on the news where something terrible happened to a child and the parents are suddenly up on charges of neglect or endangerment.

When we got home, there was no hiding from CareerMom that something happened, but I'll be danged if I was going to tell her the truth. She thinks he just fell in the koi pond while swinging on the rope, after I had told him not to of course.

I know...I'm horrible and I'm probably going to hell for blaming this completely on my son. In my heart I accept a certain amount of blame, but I also know that no good could come of telling the truth.

Sometimes a little lie doesn't hurt anyone.

CHICAGO - A Waukegan mother claimed her 6-year-old daughter attacked her with a butcher knife because the petite kindergartner was possessed by a demon, Lake County authorities said Tuesday.

Nelly Vazquez-Salazar insisted to investigators that she was defending herself when she fatally slashed and stabbed her 51-pound daughter, Evelyn, whom she had grown concerned about in recent months because the girl had started sleepwalking, authorities said.

Bloody knife found

The 25-year-old single mother was charged Tuesday with first degree-murder in the death of her only child, who was found slain early Monday in the Waukegan apartment they shared.

The youngster's throat was slashed and she had been stabbed 10 other times, including three times in the face, Lake County prosecutors said. A religious picture lying on the floor next to the girl also had been punctured by a knife, authorities said in court as they detailed the slaying and ripped Vazquez-Salazar's claims of how it occurred.

"She [Vazquez-Salazar] claimed the little girl was possessed by a demon," Assistant State's Attorney Stephen Scheller said, describing the child differently.

"She was an intelligent, vibrant, beautiful little girl. She was, in fact, an angel," Scheller said.

Vazquez-Salazar wept softly throughout the bond hearing but didn't speak. Her bond was set at $5 million and she remained under a suicide watch late Tuesday in the Lake County Jail.

The bizarre slaying shook even veteran police officers and prosecutors.

"A killing like this affects the whole community," said Waukegan Police Chief William Biang. "You never want to see a vibrant, active 6-year-old taken like this."

The little girl was found slain about 4:40 a.m. Monday after Vazquez-Salazar went to a neighbor's apartment and told them she thought she had killed her daughter.

A bloody butcher knife was found next to the girl, as was a framed religious picture that included St. Joseph, Mary and Jesus Christ, Scheller said. The faces of all three figures had been stabbed, he said.

was arrested last week for allegations associated with the sexual abuse involving a now 14-year-old child in her home. Mrs. Parsons was charged with allowing the abuse of the minor to continue and failing to act to stop the abuse. The alleged victim in the case was reportedly abused from ages 5 to 12. The perpertrator of the abuse, was Parson's husband Ray Eugene Parsons (41). He was arrested back on February 29, 2008 on ONLY 2 counts of sexual abuse and admitted to the crimes. I don't get that, I am far from a law student or anything-but shouldn't Ray Parsons be facing more charges than just two counts if this victim was molested and went thru 7 long years of hell? I'm just saying, it isn't that hard to add things up and we all know full well he didn't just abuse this girl 2 times. This isn't right.

Another thing that turned my stomach was when the victim got up the courage to finally TELL her mother about the abuse-did mother comfort her, wrapping her in a warm protective embrace? Not even close. When the Mima was told about the abuse by her child, she bitterly called the girl "a slut." Geez, the support for this girl was overwhelmingly absent from the very person that should have wanted to go tear this man's eyes right out of his face ! No wonder abuse victims don't tell if this is the response some of them will face.

Thank God for the guidance counselor at the girl's school-whom she confided in, if it weren't for this person, she would probably still be being abused in the home. Now she has been removed from the home and can hopefully begin her journey to healing and a chance at a normal life.

*Disturbing : A third person has been arrested and charged with abuse in this case.

I was watching American Dad last night, and there was this scene where Francine's parents were explaining to Stan why they gave her up. The scene showed them holding Francine as a baby while in line to board a plane. The hostess informed them that they couldn't have an infant in First Class and they proceeded to hand the baby over to a stranger saying, 'Here can you take this ' and then 'Whew, I thought we were going to have a problem there,' and boarded the plane for their holiday.

Husband laughed. I did not.

I obviously have issues concerning my parents, and while I was never beaten with a kettle chord or sexually molested, there have been constant, mental and physically abuse that when all combined over the years and piled on top of each other, almost make me wish for something normal like being beaten once in a while with a power chord.

So, why didn't I laugh?

After my sister was born, and she was about 24 months, I guess, Mother got pregnant again. I don't, however, have another sibling. While I should say Ohh Errr, her body, her choice, wank wank wank. I actually really truly resent her for it.

Why? Because the tickets were booked and the pregnancy was going to be in the way of their overseas vacation. My sister and I didn't go. We were left with a woman who neglected and starved us for two weeks, but that's another story.

They say it's called 'survivor guilt', Why did they pick me and not that baby sort of thing. I don't know. I know I hate her for that decision, for her reasons, but then the empowered woman in me says that it was her decision to make.

P.S She had a crap holiday by the way. Dad cheated on her with the woman from the couple they went with. Maybe she should have stayed knocked up.

All too often when I'm talking to the guy on the stool beside me at the bar I hear the same stories repeated by different faces, usually something along the lines of "I hate my parents." I just want to give a little bit of my perspective on parents and parenting in general.

My opinion on parenting has always been, well, very opinionated. Both of my parents were and still are teachers while I was growing up and I don't know if that had any effect on my point of view but it certainly has put things in perspective whenever I see parents all around me doing what I deem 'Bad Parenting." Good parenting, to me, is sitting back and watching your kid grow up, letting them make their own decisions; good or bad, and letting them learn from it. The most important aspect of parenting is advising your children on their way through early childhood into young adulthood.

Bad parenting, in my mind, is leading your children, making decisions for them, or not making decisions at all. Another thing I hate to see is parents who bend over backwards for their children. Growing up on two teachers' salary with four other siblings was never easy, or very luxurious.

But my parents, unlike most I know, saved every available penny and put it into their life savings. Once I left elementary school they bought a new, beautiful house with their savings and have just about paid it off, nearly 10 years after they bought it. I learned the most important lessons of financial studiosness, open-mindedness and life in general.

Basically, parenting should be about advising your children how to take on life as an adult, making their own decisions and working through the bad ones. Parenting should not be about leading your children down a set path (this is for you Fundamentalist Christian parents out there) or bending over backwards providing your children with unnecessary luxuries. Parenting like that just leads to spoiled, dependant and utterly meaningless lives for your children. So let your children learn for themselves. Tell them drugs are bad. If they do drugs, let them learn the adverse effects they have. Let them lose that first job opportunity because of that failed drug test. Teach them the value of saving money for their first car. Scold them for their first wreck, then tell them how to avoid accidents in the future. This has been Josiah's thoughts on parenting. Enjoy!

Last night, the reality tv show, “Living Lohan” premiered on the “E” channel.

Here are some of the forgettable highlights:

-Dina Lohan (a.k.a. Lindsay’s momager) revealed to the world that she reads the tabloids everyday to see if there are any false stories about her children in it. (So basically this bitch reads, the National Enquirer twenty-four seven and has her attorney on speed dial!)

-The Lohan family lives in Long Island New York. (Loud-ass yawn!)

-Nana (a.k.a. Lindsay’s grandmother) is constantly hounded by the paparazzi. (Again, loud-ass yawn!)

-14 year old (although this kid looks about 19 years old) Ali Lohan (a.k.a. Lindsay’s baby sister) revealed to the world that she is working on her first album which incidentally would have never happened if she wasn’t related to Lindsay Lohan. This snot-nosed brat would be paying her dues in the music industry just like everybody else but there is something to be said about nepotism in Hollywood. (Shame on you Ali, for riding your nasty-ass famous sister’s coattails! Hey kid, your 14 years old, you’re old enough to know better! If not, that’s your job Dina! Oh wait a minute I forgot, you don’t have a “real” job nor have to get one because you live off of your famous kid!)

This weekend I went to a barbecue at a friends house. While we were sitting out on the deck, my friend's three-year-old daughter brought a sandwich bag out of the house and started filling it with fresh leaves. Someone said, just like daddy, and we all laughed.

Until she put a toy ladle in it and announced that it was her pipe. Everyone was silent. My friend who is a stay-at-home dad turned red and took the bag away from her.

He said, "I don't know where she got that. I don't even smoke out of pipe."

His wife glared at him and said, "Yes you do."

We left shortly after that.

I always tell myself that if I have kids I won't smoke pot anymore. It's easy to say, but I wonder if I would really be able to do it. Fortunately (and unfortunately) I doubt I'll ever have to make that choice. I sort of wish I did.

It never ceases to amaze me what it takes to send a woman to jail. The level of the crime it seems must be flowing over the spill before anyone dares hand out a sentence like this story below. I cannot believe that it took so long for someone to notice an 18, 15, 12, pound 4 year old. No one notices until he was 10 pounds? Good God this does not happen overnight! He had to be 10 pounds before this unconscionable situation and condition of this infant came to light? Unbelievable!

b

PACE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they have arrested a Florida Panhandle woman suspected of severely neglecting a 4-year-old boy who weighed only 10 pounds when he was hospitalized.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Haines says the boy's condition is improving. He was brought to a Panhandle hospital earlier this month.

On Friday, deputies arrested 19-year-old Erin Brittany Markes, who was identified only as the boy's caregiver.

Haines says the child has a pre-existing medical condition, but that Markes was apparently depriving him of food and was not giving him prescribed medication for seizures.

Markes remains jailed on a felony neglect of child charge. Jail records do not indicate whether she has an attorney.

Despite what those of you who grew up in the 80s might have been led to believe by Whitney Houston,

Despite what those of you who grew up in the 80s might have been led to believe by Whitney Houston, children are not, in fact, the future. As if walking down the street at 3:00 PM isn't enough incentive to allow not only stem cell research, but cloning and modification of genes to eliminate certain traits, I offer this little fiasco as further proof that children aren't fit to develop naturally. Oh, and their parents are even less capable of raising a decent offspring then Britney on a bender.

"When we had them in custody at the station, they were laughing about it, saying, 'Well, I guess this spring break we won't go to the beach," Judd told The Early Show. "One of the suspects asked the detective, 'Am I going to get to go to cheerleading practice tomorrow?"

Who commits a third degree felony and laughs about it in front of the damn sheriff? Idiots. And what, you might ask, could possibly lead kids to commit such an act (since we are obviously going to rule out accountability by the kids or their half-assed parents)? According to the victim's father: the interwebs!

"I want stiffer punishments for these shock Web sites that entice kids to make these videos so they can be famous on the Internet," Patrick told The Ledger of Lakeland, Fla. "That is the motive, I am sure of it. It's crazy and it's terrible and they're gonna pay."

The kids or the interwebs? But not to be outdone, one of the criminal's parents chimed in:

After the girls were arrested, Christina Garcia told the newspaper she looked at Lindsay's MySpace page and saw the message: "hahaha all in jail."

"A lot of people think, 'I can say whatever I want on here and nobody's gonna say anything,'" Garcia said. "A fight is a fight, but this was a beatdown. She did not deserve what she got, but I don't know how she's that messed up and able to get on the computer and talk about that."

First of all, if a bunch of people beat the ever-loving shit out of me, you can bet your bottom dollar the first thing I'd do after I got out of the hospital (and court taking all their monies), is taunt the hell out of them. The least this girl deserves is to taunt the bastards on MySpace. I'd be down at the county jail drinking Slurpees and flinging feces (maybe my own and maybe whatever's handy) at those losers. And then we'd have the wedgie/swirly combo sessions. And then I'd be there to drive the nails through their fucking arms. Because seriously, the least these soulless cancers on society deserve is to be nailed to a damn cross. Christ, all Jesus did was raise a dude from the dead and clone fish and bread (eat it Dr. Suess!) and they crucified him. And what about the parents? Anyone who, in all seriousness, blames the interwebs (which I happen to <3 aLOT), should be forced to spend the rest of their lives as Dr. Phil's maids. And dear baby Jesus, I hope he makes them all wear skimpy maid outfits and touches them in places.
