Quando, lo scorso 3 marzo, non riuscii ad assistere al concerto di Mike Patton con gli Zu a causa di un inatteso sold-out, lo scoramento si impadronì della mia essenza vitale rendendomi una specie di zombie per le settimane successive. Pensavo fosse un evento di quelli non replicabli; l’inatteso bis, ad appena tre mesi dal primo live, è stata un’autentica manna dal cielo.

Logico quindi che stavolta mi sia avventato sul biglietto con un tempismo degno del più drogato ciclista al Tour de France. Ottenuto il preziosissimo tagliando mi ritrovo al Circolo degli Artisti nel bel mezzo della gradevole lezione di calcio germanica ai leziosissimi e fastidiosi giocolieri lusitani; maxischermo all’aperto, birra fresca e atmosfera Erasmus. Nel frattempo, sul palco, dj Okapi apre le danze davanti a quanti si sono accalcati per avere la certezza di rimanere in prima fila per tutta la serata; poche teste ciondolano sotto i beat del dj, l’evento atteso è decisamente è un altro.

Mike e i tre jazzcorer “de noantri” si fanno attendere un tempo infinito ma l’entrata è già un pezzo di storia: si presenta infatti un omino basso e grasso interamente coperto da un velo rosso che non ne nasconde le mitiche fattezze. Quell’omino è Danny De Vito. Quello vero. Levatosi il velo e indossato lo stesso a mo' di toga, il gemello di Arnold Schwarzenegger arringa la folla alla maniera di quei ciarlatani che imperversavano nel Far West e ci promette un fantastico e incredibile show. Viste le premesse non possiamo che fidarci ciecamente. Mike intanto se la ride e approva dal retro della sua postazione.

Cessata la rumorosissima ovazione per Danny, veniamo investiti dal magma sonoro degli Zu; il trio è in formissima e ci va pesante, coaudivando ottimamente il Patton dei Fantomas più futuristi. Dal canto suo Michele cerca di stare al passo dei tre fenomeni romani; a volte arricchendo in maniera netta delle partiture pensate per essere strumentali, a volte arrancando dietro i micidiali colpi “zuisti”. Nei momenti migliori l’intesa è degna del John Zorn più feroce, con rimandi evidenti sia ai Naked City che agli ultimi progetti del jazzman newyorkese con lo stesso Patton alla voce (vedi Moonchild). Il tutto viene rivisitato e inspessito da una spiccata attidudine hardcore. I pezzi proposti sono i classici degli Zu, ma il tocco dell’ex Mr. Bungle è inconfondibile; versacci, lamenti, urla belluine, tonnellate di “yayayayayaya” ed effetti vari invadono il classico fraseggio del tridente Battaglia- Pupillo- Mai, che a sua volta ci regala rullate disumane, un basso degno dei Meshuggah e un sax che sembra suonato da Lucifero in persona. Logico che il pubblico, di spiccata fede pattoniana, sia in visibilio per un live che coinvolge e offre tutti i clichè e le follie che il patron della Ipecac ci ha fatto conoscere ed apprezzare nell’arco della sua ormai ventennale carriera.

Dopo una breve pausa i quattro si ripresentano sul palco per un bis da antologia: prima ci aggrediscono con una fantastica e tiratissima versione di “Tutti Pazzi” dei Negazione (a scuola chi non la conosce!), poi ci cullano con una incredibile “Come te Posso Amà” del progetto Ardecore, di cui gli stessi Zu sono la colonna pojustifyrtante. Mike che canta in romanesco è pura POESIA.

Serata magnifica, atmosfera stupenda. Forse Mike deve ancora migliorare il tiro dei suoi “interventi” nel contesto musicale degli Zu, ma la strada è senzaltro quella giusta; La speranza maggiore è quella di ritrovarci entro breve un disco inedito dei quattro, regolarizzando e migliorando un’intesa che sembra destinata a tanto. Speriamo solo che il buon Mike non si faccia sfuggire questa opportunità e tutto ciò non rimanga un puro e semplice divertissement. Alla prossima!

Well, first of all, I've got a new "song". It's called "Dinners at the Edge", that being a total experimental vocal track, recorded in 4 takes (one per channel). I have this problem with avantgarde: It's nice to do, because it expands your possibilities, and shows your technique and improvising abilities. It can be serious but funny, and most of the greatest avantgarde artist give it a spice of intelligence. But the problem is that there's a big bunch of unoriginal tossers imitating this people (the famous avantgarde artists) and doing it poorly. This people can't understand the center of that music, because they're so busy trying to impress the other musicians to make a concept under all. Why don't they just stop composing, until they get the idea? Well, maybe God likes them, and is known the bad taste of His. Me, as a sort of avantgarde musician, I think that all that people needs to get their heads out of their asses and start worrying on ideas. I'm talking about that boys that believes, in their ignorance, that being a musician is just fun and chillax. YOU'RE WRONG, BOYS, being an artist have responsibilities, and of course there's the funny and lolly side, where you play and have a nice time, but come on! There's the other side where you have to stick your head in a book studying for ideas and knowledge. I've seen maybe a million of songs that talks just of "Having fun with girls and drinking beer", but that got old thirty years ago! You just have to listen the works of Zorn, Zappa, or Merzbow, and you'll not just see high technical interpretation, you'll find names, places, stories, etc. etc.

In the other side, I'm worried. I had to send a song for a compilation, but I can't get arsed to do it. It's just that I can't think of something. It's what is called "Writer's Block", and is happening to me right now, live. I've been with my head in another random things, and it's just hard to keep this little "bloarg" with updates. I swear that I'm trying hard, but whatever, I'll let the puzzles solve themselves. I'm not going to stop working, but I'm not going to stop doing the other things. Anyway, who cares.

Ah! And I'm preparing a new comic, based on C.S.I.. I'm trying to make it funny, but it happens that I'm not Seinfeld. Well, I promise you absurdity and surreal jokes, or maybe the same no-jokes that everyone but me hates. Luck!

[Oh, god! What's the problem with this song?]

Il fondatore dei Nachtmystium, Blake Judd (tra le altre cose membro anche dei Twilight), ha dichiarato che la parola Assassins si riferisce all'uccisione dei preconcetti sulla band, perchè gli stavano stretti i riferimenti al black metal, genere che rimane come innegabile background, ma di cui questo gruppo va a minare le fondamenta "true norwegian" (insieme agli altri esponenti del versante avanguardistico della scena) fin dal precedente Instinct:Decay datato 2004.
Ma entriamo nei particolari di Assassins: Black Meddle part I: i riferimenti ai Pink Floyd non si esauriscono solo nel titolo dell'album, ma continuano fin dall'intro, cover cavalcante di One of these days (che per l'occasione, visto lo stravolgimento dell'atmosfera, cambia nome in One of these nights), a cui segue la visionaria Assassins, che inizia quasi black'n'roll per poi finire elettronicamente ansiogena (la duplice personalità di questo pezzo ci fa godere a pieno l'eccelsa produzione); le successive tre tracce sono un buon bilanciamento tra il già citato background black e la voglia di spaziare in altre dimensioni, in cui si alternano cavalcate heavy, tappeti sonori elettronici e riff tiratissimi che lambiscono i Nargaroth (intervallati da Away from the light, un'oscura intromissione di un impolverato pianoforte), ma sono un lussuoso preludio all'ultima parte dell'album, cioè le tre parti di Seasick, a cui si arriva tramite Code negative, radicale cambio di atmosfera e primo vagito della psichedelia 70's del finale, e Omnivore, al contrario ultimo rantolo di tutto ciò che è minimamente associabile a qualsiasi corrente metal.
Iniziano le tre Seasick, che ci fanno dimenticare tutto quello che ho scritto fino a questo punto tranne due cose: psichedelia e riferimenti ai Pink Floyd; si crea un clima riflessivo, coinvolgente, ipnotico, piacevolmente difforme da ogni termine che potesse essere usato per descrivere i Nachtmystium, con inserti addirittura di sax ad impreziosire un netto, breve (forse troppo) ed emblematico finale di un disco da gustare tutto di un fiato.
Innegabile l'audacia dei Nachtmystium, che probabilmente farà storcere la bocca ai blackster ortodossi, ma che riesce nell'apparentemente assurdo intento di sporcare una croce rovesciata con la sabbia dell'anfiteatro di Pompei.

Zugegeben, es wird eng bei den neuen Sounds in den letzten Jahren. Dubstep, 2Step und Grime waren meiner Ansicht nach nicht besonders innovativ und das neue Discofieber a la Hercules and Love Affair wird sich wohl auch nicht lange halten. Die Suche nach immer neuen Bands und Styles werde ich aber deswegen sicher nicht einstellen.

Dado que hace unos actualice con una entrada hablando del Avantgarde, aprovecho esta crítica. Desde Estados Unidos, nos llega el álbum de debut de Azure Emote cuyo misterioso título es "Chronicles of An Aging Mammal". El disco se compone de un total de 11 temas, repartidos en poco más de 47 minutos.

Azure Emote se trata de una banda paralela formada principalmente por Mike Hrubovcak, vocalista de bandas de Brutal Death/Death Metal, entre ellas, Vile y Monstrosity. Sin embargo, y a pesar de que tenga elementos ello, no se trata para nada ni de una banda Death Metal ni mucho menos de Brutal. Aunque normalmente es arriesgado afirmar de que estilo se trata una banda de estas características, podemos hacer una aproximación y afirmar que se trata de un grupo que practica Avantgarde muy experimental. ¿Por qué experimental? Se pueden escuchar fusiones de varias estilos tales como, Death Metal, tanto guturales como ritmos brutaleros de batería, partes electrónicas (sintetizadores, cajas de ritmo, melodías electrónicas), Black Metal, Funk, una especie de musica hindú/arabesca...En pocas palabras, un auténticas locura.

Encontrar bandas que tengas similitudes con una banda de Avantgarde no es tarea fácil. Aunque en muchas partes esté compuesta básicamente de ruidos extraños, no llegan al extremo de Naked City o de Scrawl. Tampoco el uso de partes electrónicas hace que se asemeje a los sublimes Whourkr. Tal vez su sonido recuerda más al de otras bandas del estilo como Unexpect, pero con la oscuridad de bandas como Ulver o Lux Occulta.

La parte vocal es muy dinámica y bien lograda. Y no toda la labor recae sobre Mike Hrubovcak: además de las voces guturales y limpias, también cabe destacar la participación como voz femenina y operística de Laurie Ann Haus, vocalista de Autumn Tears.

Por otro lado, y como comentaba antes un poco por encima, donde muchas veces se nota la presencia del metal extremo es en las partes rítmicas, sobretodo en la batería, que a veces combina con las guitarras potentes blast beats y doble pedal. Pero la batería no se queda sola, sino que le acompaña una especie de batería de caja de ritmos electrónica, que a más de uno seguramente no le guste nada o ecuentre fuera de lugar una mezcla de estas características. Pero no solo hay partes electrónicas que son ritmos, sino que el uso de teclados y sonido electrónicos extraños también está muy presente.

En cuanto a las guitarras me atrevo a afirmar que son un elemento clave en el sonido final de Azure Emote. Por una parte, y aunque no sea muy habitual, hay solos muy buenos, otros de más raros y ruidosos pero también muy bien logrados; por otro lado, a parte de los riffs cañeros death metaleros, también hay muchas melodías oscuras y misteriosas, que recuerdan a bandas como Mithras, y otras a música hindú como comentaba antes.

Sin duda se trata de un gran trabajo, con una producción excelente, siendo uno de los discos de Avantgarde que últimamente más me ha atraído. Tal vez se traté de un disco solo para gente con la mente abierta o para gente muy excéntrica. En cualquier caso, no os perdáis esta obra maestra de la Fusión.

Escuchadlo y decidme que tal os parece.

Blah. A week back in time, I was reading a post in a forum about music, actual music. I recalled that there are two kinds of people: People with good and bad taste, people with memory and ignorants. That's pretty much obvious, but I'm going somewhere with this. Or maybe not, ha! In conclusion, the post got to a position like "The best decade was the sixtees". I said "Fuck you!", but that's not the point. I've always thought that we live in a pseudo-evolutive world were things grows and culture has got to subdivide in categories, for a bunch of demographic reasons, geographic position, conceptual thinking, and so on. And music is culture, so it transforms with society and times, the position where you are in the world, who you are and where you stand.

There's something I can't understand. I know the power and culture value of Rock music, and all its derivative forms, but Rock's ain't God. Some people say Pop or Electronica, or even Hip Hop are less important, less intelligent, less serious, kind of music. And that most of the music that is in vogue is bad, and that it affects culture in a negative way. But this people is not noting that Rock was part of a cultural movement that was and is has much as fashionable it is dance music, and that IS affecting culture in a very negative way. Most of the rock youngsters can't recall names like Burt Bacharach or even Mozart, even teenagers can't remember or are pretty much ignorant about people like Zappa or Residents, or even Hendrix or Dylan. And that's because they live in a post-modern world where they are pushed into a way of living that's based in the last seconds, the media makes them think in a way, they feel the need to be according to the times. Even adults and older people try to be in line with the new generations, and that's pathetic. Teenagers are, most of, a big bunch of stupid people without focus and weak of will.

In my opinion we don't have to live with the head on a era. Is too much easy to simply try to enjoy everything we can, have a real open mind. I can't think of another way of composing new and fresh music if you don't try to seek for new things, and if you're not aware of all the history of music. As a musician, you're encouraged to be both futurist and classical. And if you start praising just a little group of artists, that's a closed mind über alles. Fan's are the worst kind of people, because they knowledge are limited to worlds so little, that makes them unoriginal and boring.

But the thing I hate the most is the way metal-heads are so much square-minded, and totally incapable of things too much important like improvisation. And I'm not talking about "hippie-jam" improvisation, I'm talking about serious free playing, calculated interpretation of concepts. I have saw a lot of tiresome bands playing "One" of Metallica, and for me it's one of the most ridicule clichés of a rehearsal. And that epic focus on soloing, that makes me sick. Most of metal music, especially progressive metal, lacks of groove and is just based on technical tricks. And that's as much as stupid dance music is. The difference is that dance music is intended to be danced, and metal is just plain guitarwork for obsessive guitar players.

And one thing I laugh, is that most of the metal-heads think music like Bacharach, Gainsbourg, Bowie, Madonna, and other pop music is between sissy and stupid. Remember hair metal, people? That's pretty much sissy, and ridicule. Dragons, fairy tales and knights? What we're talking about? A Disney Princess movie? Even the metal you hate the most (Industrial metal, for example) is even better than your muted-guitar-riffed-backs, because most of them have bigger messages and concepts, and I'm talking of bands like Ministry or KMFDM, they're pretty much more violent and tough than your dragons, don't you think? And just talk about electronica. Most of rock and metal people find weak all the keyboard and synthetizer-based music, say Kraftwerk, or Depeche Mode. But I think Laibach is much high and powerful than your weird-shaped guitars, and for Frank's sake, they have covers of Europe! Even legendary Johnny Cash made a cover of Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode! Motherfucking Depeche Mode! That teenage-loved musicians that played "Just Can't Get Enough"! And 80% of their music is just synthetizer based pop, don't you know?

And I'm not trying to say that rock or metal is less than other kind of musics, I'm just saying that's FUCKING THE SAME! And the same goes for jazz-snobs and classic-deffenders! IT'S PRETTY MUCH THE SAME! So, please, PLEASE, stop being so much closed, because most of that's just another way of racism, cultural racism.

AWESOME!

Tenebris es una banda de Polonia formada en el 1991. Durante varios años, editan varios discos y demos, hasta que en el 2007, sacan a la luz este recopilatorio titulado como “Catafalque-Comet”, el cual reúne cinco temas de su álbum “Catafalque”, lanzado en el 1997, otros tres temas de “The Comet” y dos más de la promo editada en el 1999 “The Ooze”, conformando así un total de 10 temas repartidos en 45 minutos. La banda la componen 3 guitarristas (Szymon, Primer y Jarek) , de los cuales uno de ellos es el cantante (Szymon) además del bajista (Marcin) y del batería (Arkadiusz).

Si duda estamos ante una banda realmente inusual con un sonido basado en el Death Metal, que a su vez incluye muchos elementos progresivos, técnicos y otros elementos más bien propios del Avantgarde. Con un ambiente muy enigmático, temática sobre el espacio y alienígenas, y con claras influencias de Nocturnus y de Pestilence. Se trata de un disco que puede dejar sorprendido al oyente, sobretodo de después de haberlo escuchado varias veces.

El apartado vocal también es un factor que implica que estemos hablando de un grupo realmente extraño ¿Quien se pude imaginar que un grupo procedente de un país como Polonia, en ciertos trozos el cantante adopte su voz al más puro estilo de indio cherokee americano? Además de incluir un registro de voces muy variado como voces limpias, voces guturales, voces rasgadas... Un buen ejemplo de todo esto lo podemos escuchar en el segundo tema, “Nefilim/Annunaki”.

Tal vez el hecho más impactante cuando hablemos de las guitarras es que Tenebris sea un grupo con 3 guitarristas, algo de lo más atípico en cualquier grupo. No obstante, las guitarras sorprenden por su gran técnica y por su gran dominio de su instrumento que propician a Tenebris el ambiente misterioso y enigmático del que comentaba. Además de los riffs cañeros y rápidos, también hay ciertas partes blueseras y rockeras muy bien elaboradas, como en “Hello (Alien Life Form)”.

En el apartado rítmico, la batería no es excesivamente rápida, pero si que tiene una gran técnica y partes melódicas-progresivas acompañando a las guitarras en su labor de dar el sonido característico de Tenebris. El bajo tampoco se queda corto, y en ciertas partes de los temas introduce algunas notas muy disonantes respeto a las guitarras.

En cuanto a la producción, podemos afirmar que, pese que a veces los instrumentos no tengan cierta definición, sobretodo los dos últimos temas que provienen de una promo, el sonido final es más que bueno. En conclusión, se trata de un grupo que a un servidor le ha dejado realmente asombrado, y que en mi opinión, Tenebris no ha tenido mucho éxito internacionalmente por pertenecer a un país con escasa escena metálica. Álbum recomendado a los amantes de bandas experimentales y como dicen ellos mismos para los que tengamos la mentalidad de: “In opposition to schematic and predictable Death Metal scene of nowadays”.

Informandomi un po' sugli Aarni, ho scoperto che dietro questa “band” ci sono storie assurde almeno quanto la loro musica; innanzitutto ho virgolettato “band” perchè ci sono dubbi sull'esistenza fisica dei componenti, a parte il fondatore e membro stabile, Master Warjomaa, attorno cui vi è il sospetto che si sia inventato tutto (d'altra parte se uno dichiara che nel gruppo suonano un conte francese nato nel XVII secolo e un cartone animato, l'attendibilità viene scemando, ma io gli credo, perciò continuerò parlando al plurale).

A livello musicale questo gruppo finlandese si muove fondamentalmente da un tappeto doom d'avanguardia, ma questa atmosfera quasi solenne viene spesso spezzata da sprazzi di follia, talvolta (credo) ironica, talvolta anche inquietante come nel caso della cover di “All along the watchtower”, che inizia conforme all'originale (però versione Hendrix), per poi scendere negli inferi tramite una specie di malvagia evocazione degna del buon Attila Csihar.

I riferimenti agli anni '70 sono frequenti: chiare influenze crimsoniane ma anche psichedelia elettronica alla Tangerine Dream, ma non si fa in tempo a capirci qualcosa poichè il sul tappeto citato in precedenza regna il disordine, fatto di black, folk scandinavo, gothic (vagamente My Dying Bride), aperture melodiche, ma il tutto sempre e comunque sbilenco, imprevedibile ed estremamente folle ( talvolta ricordano anche i progetti di Mike Patton post FNM), con l'aggiunta di rumori di acqua che scorre, vagiti di neonati, e di un'altra “cover” ( vi dice qualcosa il ritornello “Glory Glory Hallelujah”?), tanto da destare il sospetto che i generi di cui sopra siano volontariamente sbeffeggiati.

A fare da contraltare al loro lato quantomeno ambiguo, vi è la voce baritonale del cantante, che narra testi concernenti la psicanalisi di Jung, la parapsicologia, la mitologia, o ancora Lovecraft, utilizzando l'inglese, il latino, il finnico, e anche l'egiziano antico.

Spero abbiate capito quanto pazzi visionari siano Master Warjomaa, il suo amico conte francese e il cartone animato, che tra le altre cose definiscono anche ufficialmente “ritardati” quelli che li apprezzano.

Ho conosciuto una ragazza italiana che vive a Columbus con il marito - per via di una traduzione che ho fatto per loro - e ho passato una piacevole oretta a chiacchierare con lei: per il resto, tanto tanto lavoro.
Una collega mi ha chiesto di sostituirla per tutta la settimana poiché lei deve fare gli esami di master (che io farò l'anno prossimo), quindi sto insegnando due corsi. Nota negativa: il suo corso è alle 8.30 del mattino e verte sul congiuntivo al momento....argomentino facile... =.=
Per fortuna la classe è piccola (14 studenti) e molto svelta ad apprendere, quindi le lezioni sembrano essere piacevoli; anche la mia classe si sta dimostrando attenta e in gamba, e ne sono felice (noi siamo al futuro, argomento più gestibile -oggi abbiamo fatto l'oroscopo! :D).

Per quanto riguarda le mie classi, ho ricevuto un'altra A nel corso di avantgarde cinema (yay!! :D) e ho preparato una super presentazione per la lezione di linguistica di mercoledì - sull'italiano contemporaneo - che mi garantirà un'altra A; ringrazio le adolescenti italiane incapaci di scrivere correttamente, i vostri blog sono stati utilissimi come esempi di "linguaggio dei giovani"!! :D

Per domani impegno gravoso: scrivere la prima pagina e la scaletta del paper (o saggio) di cinema avantgarde, temo che dovrò stare tutta la notte a leggere e scrivere...sigh :'(

Oggi a lezione di cinema abbiamo guardato un film tedesco del 1932, il cui script è stato scritto da Bertold Brecht; nonostante le buone premesse, il film è il peggiore che io abbia visto sinora, e mi ha fatto passare la voglia di fare un corso di approndimento sul cinema tedesco del periodo di Weimar...
Unica nota positiva del polpettone avantgarde-sociorealista sulla disoccupazione è l'attrice protagonista, Hertha Thiele - personaggio controverso e interessante, che penso piacerà a Sna.

Nel film di oggi, "Kühle Wampe" (= pancia vuota, a sentire il nostro docente), Fräulein Thiele è Annie, fanciulla pura ma non troppo, dal carattere forte.
NON consiglio il film, polpettone inguardabile - mi sono addormentata per ben 4 volte, e non mi capita mai!! - ma magari qualche altro lavoro della Thiele sì, come "Mädchen in Uniform", lesbodramma liceale.

Torno al mio delirio in salsa francese, su cui sto cercando di scrivere un paper: "Les Mystères du Château du Dé" di Man Ray, film dada-surrealista che di senso ne ha proprio poco poco. Pazienza :(

Andyho Warhola nám do čajovne prinesie Jožo Keselica, ktorý už sa dve dekády zaoberá Andym Warholom, vlastní stále sa rozrastajúcu rozsiahlu zbierku a založil The Andy Warhol Pop Art Club. Je držiteľom bronzovej medaily UNICA (člen UNESCO) `93 z Argentíny za film 15 minút slávy Andyho Warhola. Je autorom viackrát oceneného videoprogramu Andy Warhol je Andrij Varchola – POP ART & POP MUSIC a okrem množstva jeho článkov, ktoré vyšli v slovenskej, rusínskej, ukrajinskej, českej, ruskej a americkej tlači napísal knihu AWA – od A k W a opäť späť – aNDREw wARHOLa, ktorá bola financovaná štátnym fondom Ministerstva kultúry SR PRO SLOVAKIA. Osobne sa zúčastnil na otvorení obidvoch múzeí, venovaných svetoznámemu Američanovi s rusínskymi koreňmi zo Slovenska Andymu Warholovi po oboch stranách oceánu - Medzilaborce, 1991 a Pittsburgh, PA, USA, 1994. Spolupracoval a účinkoval v mnohých reláciách, programoch a dokumentárnych filmoch viacerých televízií – slovenskej, dánskej, talianskej, rakúskej, nemeckej, anglickej, poľskej, ukrajinskej, srbskej, českej a americkej. Najvýznamnejšie sú dokumenty Warhol nation (Warholov národ) režiséra Toma Triera z dánskeho filmového inštitútu v Kodani a najnovší profesionálny film I AM FROM NOWHERE

(SOM ODNIKIAĽ) rakúskeho režiséra Georga Mischa z Viedne, žijúceho v Anglicku. Dokument Som odnikiaľ bol natočený v koprodukcii BBC, ARTE, ZDF a Slovenskej televízie, ktorá ho aj odvysielala. Jožo Keselica sa osobne pozná s blízkymi spolupracovníkmi a priateľmi Andyho Warhola – Ultra Violet a Billy Name ako aj s obidvoma bratmi Andyho Warhola - Johnom, ktorý je viceprezident The Andy Warhol Foundation for the visual arts, Inc. New York City a maliarom Paulom.

Takže ak ste sa chceli niečo dozvedieť o Andy Warholovi, nemôžte na tejto akcii chýbať.

Musiker die auch zum Fotoapparat greifen gibt es einige. Hin und wieder werden welche in den einschlägigen Fotomagazinen oder Feuilletons vorgestellt. Nicht alle erlangen hinter der Kamera die Berühmtheit wie Bryan Adams oder Lou Reed. Wollen Sie auch gar nicht. David Sylvians Fotografien sind mehr pragmatischer Natur und erzählen Geschichten des Alltäglichen. Sylvian ist als Musiker natürlich viel auf der Welt unterwegs, vielleicht zu oft nicht zu Hause... Auf der Webseite des früheren Japan-Mitglieds kann man seine Sicht der Dinge sehr gut nachvollziehen. In Tagebuchähnlicher Struktur werden dort die Fotos präsentiert. -> David Sylvian|Images
