Nuviderm At Home Tattoo Removal: Week Three (Second Application)

I broke down yesterday, and made an appointment to see the doctor. I cant even describe how much pain I was in, it was immense none the less. I would elevate my leg, which would make it feel much better, but once I lowered my foot the pain came shooting back, so bad, that I couldn't even walk on that foot.

I Googled how to take care of wounds and burns, and I couldn't find a single straight answer, I read that I should cover it, use Neosporin, use rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, saline washes, soap; and then of course I read in other places,that I shouldn't do any of those. I tried all of them over the past 4 days, and none of them seemed to help, the pain just got worse, and my ankle and foot had gotten really swollen.

I sucked up my pride, and got into the doctor the same day. Of course, being in a small town, the nurse looked at me like I was nuts after I explained what I was doing, and looked even more shocked when I showed her my sorry excuse for an ankle. After a very long two hours of sitting in the doctors office waiting for second opinions on what to do, I was given a few prescriptions...and get to go back for another visit this Thursday.

$130.00 worth of prescription drugs later...

Silver Sulfadiazine 1% (Topical Antibiotic for burns)
Levaquin 500mg (Oral Antibiotic)
Darvocet (Pain reliever)

The doctor covered by tattoo with silver sulfa and bandaged it, so I wasn't able to get a picture of what my tattoo looked like right before using the prescription ointment, but I will keep on blogging the healing process. Just now, keep in mind for the next 7 days I'm on prescriptions. I will try to take pictures everyday, to see what kind of impact the prescriptions may have.

***One Day After Doctors Visit

(Silver Sulfa/Once a Day, Levaquin/Once a Day, Pain Relievers-As Needed)

The Nurse made it very clear that this is going to probably scar terribly. I am going to stay optimistic about it. Funny thing was she asked my if I knew how to post information on the Internet, she said that I really should warn people about the dangers of using Nuviderm...Ha. I am one step ahead of that!

I got to thinking, everyone I have talked to had a lot of trouble during their second application. I honestly haven't talked to anyone that was on their third or so application, since they all stopped after their second application. I have a feeling that treating the same area twice or more times, is just too much trauma for the skin to handle. I don't know if maybe waiting twice as long in between applications would help that or not.

On my previous post 'L' commented on using colloidal silver bandages; No one in town carries those here, but I think that is a great recommendation for anyone whose in the healing process. I would have to also agree, that 50% is way to strong. I used 46% this last time, and I'm really regretting that. I would definitely recommend using a lower strength...I would personally rather have to do many weak applications, than go through this mess again.

And to think the thought of *hmmm a facial peel might be nice* crossed my mind when I was researching TCA before I purchased nuviderm. I am SO glad that was just merely a thought...Can you imagine putting 12-30% strength on your face...It makes me cringe just thinking about it!

I almost forgot. What would this post be without a nasty bandage picture? My tattoo is still oozing.

Diesen geflügelten Satz habe ich in einem meiner ersten Artikel verwendet. Ein Spiel der österreichischen Fußballnationalelf bei der EURO 2008 war der Grund dafür. Die beiden jeweils unter rot/weißen Flaggen spielenden Gastgeberländer waren ja sehr vom Pech verfolgt. : (

Vietnam highlights children protection at UNSC’s debate

Vietnam, as the President of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in July, has organised an open debate, highlighting the protection of children from armed conflicts and the council’s role in the issue.

Addressing the debate in New York on July 17, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem said the debate looked to “strengthening the commitment and efforts of the UNSC, the UN and the international community at large towards achieving a long-term and sustained solution to the issue of children affected by armed conflicts.”

He also said that Vietnam was the second country in the world and the first in Asia to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

“A country where generations of children had suffered immensely from the scourge of war, Vietnam is committed to defending and promoting the best interests of children in every circumstance and our concerns for children affected by armed conflicts are beyond conventional reasoning,” he stressed.

The UNSC’s actions have made progress, with thousands of children associated with armed groups released, and child protection has been incorporated in the mandates of a number of UN peacekeeping and political missions, he said.

The Vietnamese diplomat underscored a comprehensive strategy that has a dual objective of preventing armed conflicts and protecting children from being affected by armed conflicts.

The strategy “must include promoting sustainable development, poverty eradication, national reconciliation, and reintegration of children associated with armed forces and armed groups,” he said.

He highlighted the coordination of member countries, concern parties, countries, regional organisations and the UN to successfully implement the strategy.

The same day, Deputy PM Khiem had a conversation with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, who congratulated Vietnam ’s achievements in economic reform, saying Vietnam was a good example for other developing countries.

He expressed his concern about climate change, food and energy crisis, and said he hoped to see Vietnam ’s support to the UN’s efforts to deal with the issues.

He thanked Vietnam for its close cooperation in implementing “One UN” initiative.

Also during his stay in New York , Deputy PM Khiem received UN General Assembly President Srgjan Kerim, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Swaziland Moses Mathendele Dlamini, US Ambassador to UN Zalmey Khalizad, and UN Special Envoy to Myanmar Ibrahim Gambari.-

Japanese newspaper hails Vietnam’s chair at UNSC

– The Akahata newspaper of Japan published on July 15 an article about Vietnam’s role at the United Nations’ Security Council (UNSC), saying that the country is emerging thanks to its independent foreign policy which was developed from experiences over the past 20 years of renovation.

The newspaper highlighted Vietnam’s presidency of the UNSC this month and noted that being a member of the council poses a big challenge for the Southeast Asian nation.

Vietnam assumed the rotating presidency of the UNSC in July, taking over the position from the US.-

banyak orang yang bilang hal itu sering terjadi, dimana cowo ato cewe ketemu seseorang yang langsung nyangkut di hatinya, ya begitulah yang sering kita anggap sebagai love at first sight.

kalo menurutku sih ga mungkin. yang mungkin terjadi adalah rasa kagum ato suka ke seseorang, dan itu bukan cinta. kalo pun ada kasus orang itu bisa cinta, itu pasti bisa terjadi jika setelahnya ada hubungan yang intens. jadi menurutku love at the first sight itu ga ada, yang ada cuma rasa suka saat pertama kali ketemu dan rasa itu bisa berubah jadi cinta bila kita uda semakin dekat dengan orang tersebut.

so, love at first sight sympathy / attracted at first sight is right .

Hey guys,

Remember the time that I told you there was a site called Warpedreporter.com and this site asks you to fill out surveys about what improvements can be made towards future tours? Well, the other day, I've checked into my e-mail realizing that I finally won a VIP pass to the warped tour!!! After spending many years on studying the possibility on going to the tour, along with a series of consultations made by people who went to the tour in the past and a series of securing funding towards the tour, it seems that my dream has finally become a reality.

What's more, the Warped tour will finally be held at "The Flats at Arrow Hall" (International Centre) in Mississauga. Originally, the tour was supposed to be held at Downsview Park in Toronto (the place where Edgefest was held in last weekend and when the Rolling Stones last came back in 2003 and World Youth Day back in 2002), but a sudden turn in events had force venue promoters to change their plans. Anyways, to all of my friends who really treat me unfarily: WATCH OUT and MOVE OVER! There's another punk rocker fan who wants to join in the marketplace! I want to be the next powerhouse for sure!!!!!
