Som ni ser finns det rätt många variabler att ta hänsyn till och jag påstår inte att min bedömning är direkt vetenskaplig. Minsta skärmstorlek som är användbar anses vara 8,9'', eller motsvarande 1024x600 pixlar.

I TESTED the new FF3 all the evening long. I DE-INSTALLED IT and put back the 2.0.14. On my eeePC running XP, the FF3 is terribly slow, even typing is slower and it crashes often. I HATED IT. DO NOT install the FF3. Keep the last version of the FFv2 that worked PERFECTLY.

7 MB downloaded and installed. All very nice except for the back and forward arrows that disappeared. The two arrows were hidden in the navigation toolbar (right click on the menu toolbar and tick navigation toolbar to see them), but I didn't want the navigation toolbar to appear in addition to the main menu toolbar. So, to move again back your navigation arrow in the main toolbar from the main toolbar, just

- click on the menu toolbar and select customize
- move the arrows from the navigation toolbar to the customize toolbar
- move the arrows back to the menu toolbar

... and enjoy Firefox 3!

Viendo el blog de VivaLinux, me he enterado de que ya se ha liberado la primera versión estable de Ubuntu Eee 8.04.  Esta distribución basada en Ubuntu 8.04 y tal como su nombre lo indica esta optimizada para funcionar solamente en la ULPC Asus EeePC.

Estas ultra portatiles ya traen por defecto una distribución de GNU/Linux (Llamada Xandros) por lo cual el equipo es totalmente compatible con otras distribuciones.

Ahora ya lo sabes, si tienes una Asus EEEPC no dudes en instalar Ubuntu!  ;)

Beberapa produk sudah bisa dinikmati di tanah air, seperti misalnya HP Mininote. Rencananya beberapa produk juga akan dilaunch bersamaan dgn event pameran komputer di JCC Juni ini.

Ho inoltre acquistato una memoria SD, per cui inizialmente ho trovato un po' di problemi per montarla, infatti al clic sull'icona nel desktop corrispondente alla periferica, mi appariva il seguente messaggio di errore:

cannot mount volume

Invalid mount option when attempting to mount the volume

Poi dopo vari tentativi ci sono riuscita con poche semplici operazioni.

1. Senza inserire la scheda, editare da root il file /etc/fstab e commentare la riga riguardante il cdrom (mettendo un # all'inizio di tale riga) e salvare il file.

2. Inserire la schedina nell'apposita porta.

3. Digitare da terminale il comando

sudo fdisk -l

per vedere se viene riconosciuta, oppure dmesg per vedere le ultime periferiche riconosciute

Adesso la nostra memoria SD è pronta all'uso.

Hace tiempo que esto es un secreto a voces pero parece que ya se va a presentar. Según los rumores, Asus presentará en el computex el nuev Ebox, una expecie de Wii con una capacidad "reducida" y que sera el Eeepc de sobremesa.

Según dicen montara una disco duro de 160Gb y 2Gb de RAM, a mi eso no me parece reducido pero en fin...

Yesterday I connected to Windows Update. The Express Update option gave me the possibility to install the 3rd Service Pack. I don't know why, but I felt worried about it. I didn't install it: the picture comes from another website. Did you do it already? Did you install it on the eeePC too? After it:

1) everything was working better than before
2) like before
3) the pc crashed.

What was your experience?

If you have installed XP on your eeePC, with eeectl.exe you can safely overclock the FSB from 70 to 100 Mhz (CPU speed from 630 to 900 Mhz). I tried to go up to 990 Mhz but XP crashed and it took some time to cool down before starting again. In the eeectl forum on eeeuser.com you can see that even changing to low FSB speed can corrupt in some cases XP files. My suggestion: don't play with it too much and enjoy your eeePC at 900 Mhz, 60 degrees Celsius and 40% fan speed.

Setting up those two devices has not been exactly a piece of cake. The problem was: old bluetooth stacks. Now that I installed the last version from Broadcom everything works perfectly. Nice to listen to my favorite music easily carried around on my eeePC being wireless too. Am I a freak?
