I was on the elliptical the other day, and after me, followed this middle-aged man, with his faded blue muscle shirt, mesh shorts, headband, and old school adidas sneakers. I thought, well, this 21 minutes should be VERY interesting.

I'm jammin to my zune. Yeah, that's right, I have a zune. iPods suck. I have gotten such good workout music so I'm really ignoring what he's doing.

We have tv's in our gym. You can tune to the channel by using your radio (another reason I like my zune) and listen to one of the 4 channels on tv. CNN, ESPN, ABC, and one other one. All this while doing cardio on the machines. And how do those women read books while running on the treadmill anyway. I just don't get it..anyway...I digress..

So, I continue to work it, singing "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne and then I get it. The WHAF of Halitosis. Perfected to make my stomach turn and churn. He didn't seem to notice that he was breathing in my direction and making me want to vomit. Did he brush his teeth? Listen dude, I know that Listerine is like paint thinner for the mouth and tastes nasty, but, USE IT ONCE IN A WHILE! Ugh. I was so grossed out. I knew I had to make a decision. Either get off the treadmill and move to another one OR stick through it. Well, then I realized that there were no open machines. This means, I had to commit to the rest of my workout in Halitosis Hell. At this point I'm singing to the tune of "Lipgloss" whose refrain turned into "my bad breath is poppin'." I hung there. I did it. I made it through without inhaling too deeply.

I definitely have reached a new plateau. I'm proud of me. Not even Halitosis Hell made me get off that elliptical. :)

- Great for exercising!!! Only problem is it's sometimes hard to use the touch screen, but I just put it on shuffle and go!

- I'll start off by saying that, once you get it on, with your songs pre-set, this band stays on your arm comfortably. That ends the positives about this armband. Since it uses a hook and loop closure rather than velcro, it often takes me up to 5 minutes to get the darned thing hooked on correctly. Now, after a few months of use, the loops are starting to come unglued from the band, so it's getting even more difficult.

Then, there's the plastic screen. It is thick enough to protect the ipod in rain (good!), but also thick enough that it's nearly impossible to change songs mid-workout. I simply have to put on my exercise playlist at the beginning of my workout and stick to it.

Short story, I'm on Amazon looking for a new armband because this one drives me so crazy.

- The case fits beautifully and is molded to conform to the profile of the two buttons on the Touch (the power button and the main menu button). One thing I really like is that unlike other protective cases, this one does not increase the profile of the iPod to the point that it doesn't fit into a cradle. I use a couple of devices with cradle interfaces and it fits snuggly even with the case on.

The screen protector that was included went on smoothly and is absolutely invisible. The touchscreen is perfectly responsive underneath the cover, plus there seems to be a bit of anti-glare protection.

ONE NOTE: The cover, at least on my Touch, seems to block the light sensor (not sure where it is) because after putting on the sleeve the Touch screen dims and stays dimmed. I had to turn off the auto-dim feature, which is fine because it's not something I was too concerned with. I just set the screen brightness manually.

- Very good for protecting the ipod from scratches in places like your pocket. People are complaining that the screen is not protected, well if it were to be protected then you couldn't use it cause its "TOUCH"... not buttons. You also don't need to protect it cause its a scratch resistant screen...

This is really helpful in cars too. I usually put it on my dashboard and because of silicon's sticky characteristics it stays in place when driving.

Only negative is that if you put it in your pocket it seems to attract lots of lints.

- Being that I got my ipod touch the second day it came out, I had to live with no cover for a couple a of weeks since they didn't have cases yet. Granted the ipod is very durable and the screen does not scratch, however, even though I never dropped my ipod once I started noticing small scratch marks on the back. This is why I highly recommend getting a silicone case like this.

Pros
-Case fits the ipod touch very well. Unlike what others are saying, the holes all line up because it is made for the ipod touch not the iphone. There are no holes for the speakers. I particularly like how there is a hole for the home button. Other cases will cover this part, which just makes it harder to double click so you can get the music controls to pop up.

-The seller includes the clear plastic screen protectors for those who need more assurance that the screen won't scratch. I would rather have this than a case that covers the whole screen because it removes the hassle when quick access to the controls is needed (ie. in the car)

-It is fairly priced and does exactly what its supposed to do. Plus seller gets the product to you in about 3 business days.

Cons:
-Because of the silicon material, the case does attract lint when putting it in your pocket. It is not much of hassle to wipe off the case and remove the dirt.

-There are 2 strips of uncovered surface on the back. This is made for the band that comes with the order. Armband does come in handy, but others might not have use for it. Personally I would rather have the back of the ipod fully covered, but the uncovered surface is not large enough to compromise quality of the product.

Rating: - 3 1/2 stars for "hidden" battery issues.
First off, let me say that the design and functions of the iPod touch work beautifully! All features work superbly. In fact there isn't much that I would change EXCEPT that: this iPod NEEDS to get more than THREE or FOUR hours when using wi-fi. I know that iPods are meant for MUSIC, and the touch seems to be made for videos as well (5-6 hours of video isn't that great either,) but why market this player as having internet, youtube, email access, etc when the touch gets VERY poor battery life when using these functions. If you use this iPod STRICTLY for music, you'll get 24 hours (more or less) of battery life, BUT if you start using wi-fi, you can divide that number by SIX! Now when I say "hidden problems," I mean that Apple does NOT disclose this information on their packaging or website. I probably should have researched a little more before I settled on buying the 16 gb touch, but I figured that if Apple claimed 22 hours for music and 5 hours for video (actually underrated,) then other functions would last at least 5-6 hours. I guess it's really not too much of a problem considering most laptops get similar battery life, but this is considered a MOBILE device, and there are no really fast processors or hard drives to power-up.

Other than battery issues, I can't find too much fault. I wish that Apple would have implemented external volume or track controls instead of having to go through menus, etc. However, I understand that Apple holds its product's form factors in high regards. Another nit-pick is that the price to memory/capacity ratio is pitiful. $400 bucks for 16 gigabytes sounds like the price/hd space ratio of ten years ago. The only reason I even opted for THIS iPod instead of the 80gb Classic was that I had received a $250 giftcard. I would recommend this iPod if you're not strapped for cash, but honestly, you'd be better off buying a small laptop or a PDA if you want wi-fi access. If you want to listen to music, get the classic.

I realize that there are mixed feelings about this product but I have to say that I have yet to see such innovation and functionality in the competition. Additionally, the iPod Touch is very easy to use and has become one of the items I don't leave home without.

My only issue with this product, like any other iPod, is the inability to replace the battery on the fly.
