Ordningsvakter patrullerar ju området ständigt, och har full koll på området och alla besökare. På ALV är det väl på sin höjd VDn som patrullerar området för att hålla ordning...?
Sen är det ju fyllor och liknande på Grönan på kvällarna på grund av Tyrols bakficka (utomhusbar), och där hänger för övrigt minst två vakter hela dagarna... Inte i baren alltså, utan vid staketet...
Igår var det ju en liten incident på Grönan också, inte värsta grejen kanske men Vilda Musen stannade på grund av en tröja på spåret.
Och idag var det en (eventuell?) gasläcka uppe vid Dansbanan/Café Mollbergs, så Tobbe Trollkarl fick inte trolla, och polis och brandkår var på plats... Igen...

Incidenterna på ALV var väl främst av stölder, men det var ju inte värsta grejen direkt. På Grönan försvinner det saker varje dag... Eller det hittas i alla fall en massa saker varje dag, fast ägarna kommer ibland inte fram. Desto roligare då vi kan hitta ägarna med hjälp av ett bibliotekskort och ett efternamn (seriöst, det lyckades vi faktiskt göra!)... :)

People haven’t forgotten their winless performance last year, and have used this to dismiss this squad as this generation’s version of last generation’s NU. However, the UAAP has a way of turning the tables on unsuspecting individuals.

A simple win is good, a couple of wins is momentous, but getting into the Final Four is nothing but a miracle for the men's basketball team of UP Fighting Maroons. he ya! Mananalo kami! ASA. =)

They are convinced that there is a Hierarchy in life and that perfect people are always right. That is right, they believe that there is an inherent class system ingrained into reality itself. How many rings there are may vary but the people at the top are always right. A card carrying true believer Democrat Party member exists in a state of depression. They feel that they are at the bottom of the Hierarchy and they are mad at the world itself. The only thing greater than their hatred for the world is their hatred for themselves for being so worthless. That is what they think. Of course they are awesome, beautiful, and perfect people as the Creator views everyone. Yet we are talking about people who are not in touch with the Creator and firmly believe the Creator does not exist or hate the Creator. They hate themselves so much that they "must" get others to love them to feel the void they feel inside. Of course the void is always there and so they must convince everyone that they are right.

Perfect people help others, are full of love, and are always right. They feel a "need" to help everyone see that they are right. Socialism is a natural conduit for this as it centralizes power to a few. This is how they see they can "force" everyone to be helped. They rationalize this by projecting their internal hatred on anyone who disagrees with them. This is why Democrats are almost always intolerant of anyone who disagrees with them. The mere idea that someone may disagree with them is to suggest that they are on the lower ring of life and therefore worthless, because they are not always right and therefore can not be on the top ring.. This could not be farther from the truth but this is what they see.

This is why the only way to fight socialists is with Love in your mind and kindness in your heart. Whether you fall or not does not matter. What matters is that you make the conscious effort to send pure love to them in your mind. When you talk to a socialist, Democrat, compliment them and show them how much you love and care for them. It is important to maintain that you 'do' disagree with them but do not focus on that or bring it up. Any time it comes up try to change the topic because we need to get their mind off hating themselves. We need to trick their mind to love themself. To do that just takes time and love. As the saying goes: if you hear something enough times, you begin to believe it. It is important, as well, to be patient and let them grow on their own time. Everything happens with perfect timing.

Our Founding Father's were Libertarian. They wanted the Federal government to only be allowed to govern national defense and inter-state/inter-country economic business. They wanted a political spectrum that had three, or more, political parties. They looked at England and saw the corruption, sickness, and decadence a two party system leads too. They wanted a government that let people decide on their own what their morals and ethics are, versus a government that legislated them. I think that we are moving towards what our Founding Fathers wanted; Yet, people like Obama and McCain only want us to go towards Marxism. I think this because they want big government and to socialize the economy. Both of those answers have always brought ruin to any country that has ever tried it.

Instead I want the government to stop regulating and punishing people for having the audacity to make a profit. I want the government to end all the entitlement programs that attempt to rob from the rich, to give to the poor. I want a government that eliminates it's interference of oil companies drilling off-shore and anywhere else. I want a government that eliminates it's interference of deciding what oil companies can drill for oil. We need to build more Hydro-Electric Dams, Nuclear Power plants, and Oil Refineries. Hanford already has a vit-plant to deal with nuclear waste and so it makes logical sense to build Nuclear Power plants on Hanford.

We need to outlaw all property and income taxes and adopt the Fair Tax. Property and Income tax's vary nature suggest that the government own people's income and their private property. Our country was founded on the antithesis of those Marxist ideas. Our Founding Father's vision has made our country great! The communism that Franklin D. Roosevelt started has done nothing but brought America to the brink of ruin; Like, Romulus Augustus, Obama and McCain would lead to a ruined America; And, they need to remain their respective parties Presidential Nominees, while Bob Barr is the one who is elected as the 44th President of the United States of America.

I think Americans have let the crazies run things while times were good. Americans have been busy with working hard and making this country what it is. Now times are not good and Americans are mad as hell and their not going to take it anymore. This is why I think the Republicrats and Democrats in Washington are in for a rude awakening when America elects Bob Barr, as the 44th President of the United States of America. ANN (Anime News Network) released Funimation's cast for the Ouran High School Host Club dubs today, and I have one thing to say: oh my gawd, it's the entire cast of Fullmetal Alchemist!

Not that this is necessarily a bad thing (in fact, I think that the cast for Fullmetal was one of the strongest dub casts I've seen, despite that fact that I tend to prefer the original Japanese cast), I was just incredibly amused. Seriously, though, like 90% of the Ouran cast. XD

I must say, I'm happy with this casting. As much as it pains me to admit sometimes (because I usually get immediately dismissed as just another slobbering, crazy, rabid fangirl), I am definitely a big Vic Mignogna fan! That being said, I'm really glad that he landed Tamaki! He had mentioned really wanting that role at the panel where I saw him at AMA. I think he's got the energy and craze to pull off the part well - as long as he doesn't go over the top - we don't want Tamaki's King speeches to sound like Ed's short rants! I'm a bit worried about Caitlin Glass as Haruhi, but maybe I'm just thinking of her too much as Winry...

Anyway, whether you like it or not, that's the cast - what do you guys think?

2. "Kismet" en realidad nunca la he visto pero tiene muy buena critica y si es un musical de MGM entonces ha de ser increible. 7 de Julio a las 12:30pm

3. "Anchors Aweigh" con Gene Kelly y Frank Sinatra, esta es sin duda mi recomendacion numero 1 del mes porque esta en el top 5 de mis peliculas preferidas, es un poco larga pero es bien entretenida y no se arrepentiran de haber pasado mas de 2 horas frente a la tele viendola, especialmente cuando Gene Kelly baila con el raton Jerry. 9 de Julio a las 12:30pm

4. "The Birds" si son fans de las obras de Hitchchock esta es una que no pueden perderse, si no la han visto no volveran a ver los pajaros de la misma manera. 10 de Julio a las 8:30pm

5. "Easter Parade" maravilloso musical con Judy Garland y Fred Astaire, espero que todos lo hallan visto en Semana Santa porque es un clasico de ese tiempo (aunque no es pelicula de Semana Santa como tal), no se la pierdan el 15 de Julio a las 12:30pm

6. "Mr. Blandings builds his dream house" con Cary Grant, esta es una de mis peliculas favoritas de el porque me he reido tanto con las desgracias que le pasan al pobre hombre solo por querer tener la casa de sus sueños. 18 de Julio a las 12:30pm

7. "Arsenic and old lace" de nuevo con Cary Grant... es una pelicula de humor negro muy cruel y muy loca pero definitivamente vale la pena verla. 22 de Julio a las 12:30pm

8. "Kiss me Kate" con Ann Miller es una obra dentro de otra obra... en fin, tiene numeros musicales muy buenos como "tom, dick or harry" y el vestuario de Ann me fascina. 25 de Julio a las 12:30pm

9. "Bringing up baby" y de nuevo Cary Grant y Katharine Hepburn en una comedia que involucra toda clase de locuras desde un leopardo hasta la carcel y un esqueleto de dinosaurio. 25 de Julio a las 2:25pm

Para los amantes de la obra de Alfred Hitchcock no olviden todos los sabados y domingos a la 1:30pm la serie "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", pasan 2 capitulos de media hora cada uno y se basan en cortos creados por el mismo Hitchock en los cuales a veces participan los mismos actores de sus peliculas como John Gavin o Cary Grant.

(För övrigt är programmet på femman ikväll, ska man bemöda sig att titta?)

It was entitled as 1 vs. 50. Dien and me was chosen to represent the-ever-popular-and-famous block 4 of political science. Remember the P-O-Llll-S-C-I-Blk4 cheer? I really had fun hearing those. At first, I thought the game show questions would be relevant to the sponsor (ENCM), and it would be something like Who did the posting of Ten Commandments? I just thought it would be like that. Obviously, I was wrong. It would be something different and something comical to others.

The mob against the 1 was composed of different freshmen from different courses, the mob was actually 52 when it started. I was very nervous that time. I don't want to disappoint my block mates. I told Dien that we really have to reach the second question before getting eliminated. She agreed then laughed. "Nakakahiya kapag una palang tapos na tayo," she told me.  I agreed.

The brave "one" who dare to test his wits against 52 is a professor in UP Manila, also a graduate of Biochemistry in University of the Philippines. He looks like Yao Ming wearing glasses with thick lens. One of the mobs told me that he was a summa cum laude. WTF.

The first question was too easy, no one got eliminated as expected. The next set of questions got tricky and there was this one question that made the 52 mobs into 36. What is Dora the Explorer's nationality? Dien and I argued and agreed that Dora is a Spanish. "Ang itim kaya nya, she can be a mexican, and mexicans do speak spanish," a mob from the back told her co-mob. Dora is so pretentious. LOLS. And as i expected, Dora's nationality is Spanish. Thanks for my sister who insists on watching this gimikera. =)

Dien and I made it to the top 17. We won over the one. He didnt know whether Kitchie Nadal is from UP, DLSU or Ateneo. She was from LaSalle. And Dien and I answered it right. We got a 176 peso prize each. We reached the 3000 pesos money tree. I really had fun with this event specially with Dora the Explorer's nationality confusion. Remember, it is the Iskolar ng Bayan's weakness, Dora the Explorer.

When I got home, it's already 730 pm. My mom got mad at me since my dismissal is only 4pm. We argued. I silently argued with her. And she commented something that piss me off. She told me that I was just malling or nag gagala. I was so tired by that time that I got angry. She reprimanded me and took my allowaces, she told me that I have to bring lunch instead of money.

Moms do consider some laws but not the law of "Innocence Until Proven Guilty."

I am excited to the coming orientation of UP Manila Debate Circle. It's the wilingness that I have. It will be on June 30 and July 4. I don't have any plans of joining PoLiS. It's too boring for me. I hope I will be able to join the Debate Circle and the Indayog Dance Varsity.

Var en fin liten "ceremoni" när teamchef och driftchef läste upp den lilla motiveringen utan att säga namnet så att alla skulle få gissa. Det enda dumma var ju att jag var den enda som var kombi som var där och enda som suttit i ServiceCenter så det var inte svårt att gissa direkt ;) haha

Så nu är jag lite extra stolt över det :) men det får man väl vara?

My first day of class in UP is very memorable. It's not because of new things, neither about new shirts nor allowances, it's because of the UP environment.  Several instances in my second day is when someone beside you will hand out a paper to you, discussing TOFI (Tuition and Other Fees Increase), and how the president made their life miserable. There are also flyers inviting freshmen to join certain organizations. And some papers regarding the University Rule (Prohibition of Joining Fraternities and Sororities for Freshman). In UP, you get to know the difference between life and fantasy, you get to know what is reality.

UNREALISTIC

I myself in high school enjoys a lot of malling, eating and group outings. These things were the very things that made me blind to the reality. I spend my money for usual luxury stuffs, eating in an expensive resto once a week, buying branded things, and watching movies.  My money is being use in a non-profitable situations. I enjoy life. I really don't bother about the risings of cost of commodities, Its very unrealistic.

REALITY

UP made me realize that there is more to life than material things. Immersion in an environment like UP made me think out-of-the-box.  There's no more luxurious spending because I now know the reality. Is it a good idea to know what is happening? or It is safer to go back to the unrealistic life? But I still can't take myself away from the usual spendings, I am still a teenager, enjoying life but never forgetting that I personally need to formulate solutions from the problems that I see.

Jag måste säga att Grönan känns så himla rätt, allt det där i början var nog bara en anpassningsfas. Jag trivs så himla bra med arbetskamrater, arbetsuppgifter (host, nästan alla i alla fall), chefer och vakter. Att lämna ALV för Grönan var ju inte det lättaste beslutet, men jag känner att det blev rätt nu. Och att man inte hittar på saker efter jobbet på samma sätt som i Vimmerby är väl fortfarande lite sant. Men ärligt talat, skulle någon på ALV komma på att vi ska klä upp oss och ta en drink innan vi går på bio (som Grönan förövrigt betalat)? Nej, tror inte det! Men det är så det blir imorgon, cocktail-klänning, en drink på Kulturhusetstak (vid fint väder) och sedan till Sergel-biografen för att svulla popcorn/godis och titta på Sex and the City! :) Haha.

Men det käns faktiskt skönt att vara hemma den här sommaren, hinner träffa så många fler under sommaren då. Seriöst, många är inte lockade att koma förbi Vimmerby på besök på sommaren... :P

Aja, nu har jag en ledig dag och solen skiner. Så vad annat göra än sätta sig lite i solen?

Och jaaa... jag får nog ta o bli liiiite bättre på det här med bloggandet. ;)

Although this movie was getting mixed reviews i decided to take my dad to see it anyways..

Steve Carell plays an excellent Maxwell Smart. He almost sounds just like Don Adams. (especially when he says.. "Missed it by that much")

I thought they did a good job at making Max seem stupid without making it seem unbelievable that he actually pulled this off. and he seemed so cute :D

[Spoiler Alert]

Maxwell Smart works as an analyst at Control, he has taken the test to be a field agent 7 times already. This would be his 8th. He ends up passing but Chief doesnt want to promote him cuz he is too good at his job. KAOS penetrates Control and steals the names of all their field agents, and they then begin to kill Control agents around the world. The Chief (Alan Arkin) promotes Max, designates him Agent 87, and partners him with Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). long story short..There are some close calls.. but agent 99 and Max end up saving the day (the end.. where he tackles the old guy. VERY funny.. but i really dont want to ruin the movie for ppl that dont listen to spoiler alerts)

All in all.. the movie was a breath of fresh air from the movies that have been coming out.. its good clean fun.. you can watch it as a family and trust me.. you will laugh at it. i think it stays pretty true to the tv series.

i give it 4/5 stars. worth seeing in movie theaters ... and im going to be buying it when it comes out on dvd. Love steve carell.. loved the movie.

Sinon, à part ça, les Bédéastes Imageurs ont récemment participé à Adolire. Dans le cadre de cet événement littéraire, nous avons présenté les coulisses des métiers de la bande dessinée, fait découvrir la réalisation d'une planche (théorie ET pratique) et avions invités en tant qu'auteurs Gwen Le Rest ( pour le Pays de Gwen, Monsieur TRI, Balades en Pays de Quimperlé,... ) et Noë Monin ( pour Venezzia, Yodji, Louis le vampire,...).

L'équipe des animateurs était presque au complet. Une première. David, Gwen, Linda-Laure, Noë, Antoane, Blek et au premier rang Ann et Yop ! ( Il manquait juste Fanch... snif ! )

Noë n'a pas échappé à la séance de dédicace !

I've been getting a lot of views because of Havaianas. According to wordpress, there are 15 internet users today who use the word Havaianas to get to my blog.

That's good. So, to get more readers, i'd be posting pictures of Havaianas' flip-flops. These are the latest editions or variants of their flip-flops. If you want to read my previous post about the flip-flops, click here.

And if you're asking yourself that question, you would be right. And if you were a member of the Republican party, you would also be right to ask yourself questions like "did she say that she was pregnant in order to avoid the opportunity to become McCain's Vice President?" I mean, her pregnancy is over. She has five kids. And you might also ask yourself, as a Republican, "haven't we learned anything from the play-books of the Right before? "

It's things like refusing to use your best resources that hurts you the most. Like not utilizing Colin Powell to your advantage, then turning him against you -just like Scott McClellan. Palin, Powell, McClellan each received in one form or another the all-too-common Republican slap in the face whilst vying for power. Yet, those assets are your best which you've turned away.

And while I wouldn't throw my hat into the ring with any of the above-mentioned political groups, I have to admit: If it came down to Obama versus Palin, in 8 years, I think I would be more satisfied watching her.

Since I am an official "iskolar ng bayan" now, it would be better if i start to write things in our native language. hays.

Ang pagbati para sa mga freshman ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Manila ay naganap sa bulwagang Fleur De Liz (St. Paul) na matatagpuan sa harap ng gusali ng Kolehiyo ng Medisina (not exactly though). It started with the entrance of colors and the entrance of the officials of UP Manila. Present in the welcome assembly for centennial freshman are Hon. Shahana Abdulwahid, the Student Regent, the Chancellor of UP Manila, the Special Assistants to the Chancellor, Director of Institutes, Dean of Colleges, Secretaries of respective colleges, faculty, student assistants and not but not the least, are the freshmen.

The opening remark was entertaining, i was laughing the whole time. It was delivered by the Chancellor of UP Manila whose name is already out of my memory. His "pang aalaska sa diliman made the whole crowd laugh." He emphatically said that Diliman maybe the flagship campus but Manila is the top and premiere of all the seven constituents. He even said that UP Manila is the best of the seven campuses. There are lot of things that made us laugh, the comparison between Manila and Diliman, his side comments about the guest speaker (student regent) and things that are not usually said by Chancellors. The guest speaker isa graduate of UP Diliman kaya palaging nag eexcuse yung Chancellor kapag ina alaska niya yung Diliman. He even told the student regent to be seated and not to walk-out. The Student Regent, Hon. Shahana Abdulwahid was very amused by the opening remarks of the Chancellor.

Oblation scholars were presented, the ever-popular indayog dance varsity and UP Manila Chorale gave an intermission. Ah, there was also an intermission number from the Kulintang group. Its good to see that there are still students interested in playing Kulintang. The Indayog Dance Varsity was not very prepared as i see it, they made me feel bad .. the blockings, the timing, dancers were not synchronized, but I love the "sandaang taon na tayo step." And I would surely try my best to be in that dance varsity.

The incoming freshmen were introduced to the Chancellors by their respective Deans. Then, the Guest Speaker was introduced.

Hon. Abdulwahid stood up, went into the podium and something happened unexpectedly. (for them, its not!) They made a lightning strike (tama ba?). A simple rally to be able their grievances be heard. I was very amused in that thing. I wonder how it feels to fight what you believe for.  Of course, its still about the Tuition and Other Fee Increase (TOFI), they called it the "Commercialization of Education."

Abdulwahid's speech is very expected though I like the way she became Student Regent.

The UP Naming Mahal was played, several students did something with their hands in the last part of the song, i think, that is how they do it. Kapag kumakanta nun, kailangan mo atang itaas yung right hand mo then, i-momove na parang sa rally. It's amusing in my part.

I was amazed all the time.

My favorite part is when they  played UP Ang Galing Mo, i want to dance when i hear the song. LSS nga eh. It caught me, kaya kabisado ko na ngayon. I'll share a copy of lyrics and a download link of MP3 ng UP ANG GALING MO!

Goodbye to the royal university, I prefer being in the top university. =] But I do really want to experience a Thomasian life .. unfortunately I have dreams that I need to pursue and fulfill. I got a problem with the refund of my tuition fee in UST. They'd already remove my name in the official list of the students who will attend their classes on June 10 but they don't want to give back my tuition unless after three weeks.

Hey, UST ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT, tomorrow will be the assessment of the fees i need to pay (UP Manila Accounting Division), we're not that rich to produce another tuition fee. GIVE IT BACK, i suggest .. you do it FAST!

Yes, I am now in UP. So for all the peyups out there (UPian), I'll be in Manila. I'm so tired, I can't do anything but to subject myself to their instructions. I hate the way government universities do their enrollment, it's so complicated and tiring. Can't it be like UST? I felt bad this day since I have to do the chest x-ray, dental exam, medical-physical exam, dropping of course (UST), enrolling (UP), and psycho test .. all in one day. I now know why life is complicated .. It's BECAUSE OF INSTITUTIONS LIKE UP. But I believe that this what makes a complete UPIan, to survive in an impossible task.
