Naturally enough, Alyson's fame reflects her accomplishments. Though her name has yet to reach marquee status, her Buffy role has earned her a devoted, if limited, following. After several nominations for her portrayal of Willow, she finally picked up the Teen Choice Award as Favorite TV Sidekick in 2002. She graciously makes time to visit fan conventions and even has an action figure of herself in her Willow persona -- "Oh look, they gave me boobs," she dryly quipped on first seeing it. Anyone with her own action figure has to be at least moderately famous.

Okay.  I'm stuck at work waiting for this pitiful excuse of a computer network to start working.  And I just wanted to go through a quick list of things I'm thankful for.

1. Airconditioners.  I'm Irish, my people weren't built for 100F heat.

2. Transformers 2 (in production).  There was a high-suck possibility with the first one.  And despite the movie swinging loosely from Chrysler Corp's nuts, the film delivered as only a 29 year old fan boy could.  And how can we say no to more Shia LeBouf's self depricating style, or more of Megan Fox?  (x2 on that last one.)

3. Strippers.  No, really.  Think about.  Yeah, they only care about your money, but it takes a very special kind of woman to rub her goodies up on your stank ass.

4. Offspring.  Great punk band, and they had the smarts to steal Chinese Democracy from that basketcase rockstar, Axl Rose.

5. Redheads. The few, the proud, the spitfires that have been the love and loathe of my life.  One day I will return to Ireland, and there I will claim my redheaded bride.  She longs and waits for me, her generously overweight, American prince.  Stay faithful to me, lass.  Aye, she's a good one, there.

I believe now that I am sufficiently calm enough to finish my day without pulling a Michael Douglas.

La serie empieza cuando Ted Mosby empieza a contar a sus dos hijos allá por 2030 la historia de como conoció a su madre. Y de ahí nos vamos a la actualidad. Ted es un joven arquitecto que con casi treita años y el día en el que sus dos mejores amigos (Marshall y Lily) se prometen, se da cuenta de que necesita una novia para casarse antes de los treinta. Barnie su otro gran amigo le intenta sacar la idea de la cabeza pero ese mismo día le presenta a Robin. Y aquí comienza el espectáculo.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no me reía a carcajada limpia con una peli o una serie y encima engancha como pocas. Yo la he visto bajada de Internet así que no se como la trata la Sexta,que son quienes la emiten, pero supongo que mal, como todas las cadenas  en abierto de este país con la excepción de Cuatro, que se lo curan para eso. En español hay dos temporadas, y en nada tendremos la tercera. Merece la pena que te la bajes. Los dialogos son muy buenos, la trama no cansa y encima tiene unos personajes increibles.

Ted Mosby es Josh Radnor, arquitecto y protagonista de la serie. Su gran problema es que piensa más de la cuenta, aunque Barney opina que es que no se pone traje. Vive con Marshall desde que empezaron la carrera y busca de todas la formas posibles a la que pueda ser la mujer de su vida.

Marshall Eriksen es Jason Segel, más simple que el mecanismo de un chupete. Espectacular el capítulo sobre su coche. Es el prometido de Lily y está en proceso de acabar Derecho. Es el mejor amigo de Ted aunque Barny (siempre Barney) se empeñe en que es él.

Lily Aldrin es Alyson Hannigan, que a todos os sonará de las American Pies y de Buffy. Es la prometida de Marshall y la mayoría de veces la que hace las veces de sensata del grupo. Es profesora de educación infantil, pero lo que le mola es la pintura.

Robin Scherbatsky es Cobie Smulders, reportera de televisión y canadiense. El amor platónico de Ted y la última en unirse al grupo. Su mejor capítulo, sin duda, el de su gran secreto de la infancia.

Barney Stinson es Neil Patrick Harris, es además el mejor personaje de la historia y seguramente esté ya en el top-ten de los personajes cómicos de la tele. Los "Hola, conoces a Ted", "Va a ser legendrio" y "Ponte traje" son un espectáculo. Además, la apuesta que pierde con Marshall en la segunda temporada es la leche. Es alérgico a comprometerse, tiene el mismo número de técnicas para ligar que para echar a las mujeres de su casa, o sea, una cada noche. No hay un sólo capítulo en el que no se salga por los bordes, pero si hay uno en el que no pare de reirme, es en el que hace el maratón de Nueva York.

Veronica ist die Tochter des ehemaligen Sheriffs Keith Mars, dem sie nach der Schule bei seiner aktuellen Arbeit als Detektiv hilft. Von ihm hat sie sich so einige Tricks abgeschaut, weshalb sie ein gewisses Talent hat, Dinge wiederzufinden oder Rätsel zu lösen. Sie ist an ihrer Schule zwar nicht sonderlich beliebt, man bittet sie aber oft um Hilfe. Neben kleineren Fällen, die meist innerhalb einer Folge gelöst werden, gibt es ein großes, staffelumfassendes Ereignis, das die Protagonisten beschäftigt. So geht es in der ersten Staffel um nichts Geringeres als den Mord an Veronicas bester Freundin Lilly und das Verschwinden ihrer Mutter im Zusammenhang mit den Ereignissen um den Mord. Diese Kriminalfälle sorgen zunächst für ordentlich Spannung, doch Veronica Mars ist weit komplexer. Die Serie spricht beispielsweise gesellschaftliche Themen an, wie den Wegfall der Mittelschicht in der (fiktiven) kalifornischen Stadt Neptune. Man gehört entweder zur Oberschicht oder man arbeitet für sie. Das trifft sowohl auf die Erwachsenen zu als auch auf den Mirkokosmos einer Schule.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt der Serie ist der mir sehr zusagende Humor. Er ist eine wunderbare Mischung aus Zynismus und Ironie, gespickt mit vielen Zitaten aus der Popkultur. So ist auch der Soundtrack als schlicht brillant zu bezeichnen, trifft er doch genau meinen Geschmack. So richtig mitgerissen von der zu bewegten Bildern verwendeten Musik wurde ich zuletzt bei Garden State. Von Zach Braff gibt es aber keine Spur weit und breit! Schön auch, dass sich die „Helden“ in Veronica Mars die „richtigen“ Filme ansehen oder aus ihnen zitieren – beispielsweise The Big Lebowski oder eben Garden State.

Noch ein paar Worte zu den Schauspielern: Kristen Bell ist Veronica Mars. Die Besetzung kann man als „perfekt“ bezeichnen! Bell verkörpert diese rebellische Außenseiterin mit ihren Gefühlen und Macken ausgezeichnet. In den Nebenrollen ist zuweilen Prominenz aus der amerikanischen Serienwelt zu bewundern. So wurden etwa Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street/Booker), Robert Maschio (SCRUBS) oder die bezaubernde Alyson Hannigan (HIMYM) besetzt. Einige Kritiker meckern an der deutschen Synchronisation, die meines Erachtens aber nicht so schlecht ist. Die „süße“ Stimme von Bell wird von Manja Döring natürlich nicht getroffen, größere Fehler konnte ich aber nicht ausmachen. Die Synchronsprecherriege ist durchaus namhaft, so wird Veronicas Vater Keith (Enrico Colantoni) etwa von Detlef „George Clooney“ Bierstedt gesprochen.

Leider wurde Veronica Mars nach einer leicht verkürzten dritten Staffel eingestellt. Es gab zwar noch einen Trailer zur vierten Staffel, in der Veronica beim FBI anfangen sollte, zur Umsetzung kam es aber leider nicht mehr. Die Zuschauerzahlen waren wohl doch zu schlecht, da halfen auch leichte konzeptionelle Änderungen in der dritten Staffel nichts. Über deren Wert wird unter den Fans gestritten. Mit einer Konzentration auf die einzelnen kleineren Fälle sollte spontaneren Zuschauern ein Zugang zur Serie geschaffen werden. Insgesamt wirkte sich der große Pluspunkt der staffelübergreifenden Komplexität der Handlung wahrscheinlich doch zu negativ aus. Dass die Verunstaltung des Titelsongs in der dritten Staffel zum Aus führte, sind nur Gerüchte!^^ Qualität setzt sich leider nicht immer durch. Die Sichtung der drei Staffeln Veronica Mars lohnt aber in jedem Fall, aber bitte von Folge 1 an!

LOS ANGELES (AP) -  Britney Spears, who proved she's worth a cool million viewers to "How I Met Your Mother," is paying another visit to the CBS sitcom. Spears will reprise her role as bubbly secretary Abby in the May 12 episode, CBS said Monday.  

"We're all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again," series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement.

"And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney's very nice and no, I can't get her autograph for you," Thomas added, jokingly.

Spears' appearance in the March 24 episode won her good reviews and boosted the show's viewership to 10.6 million viewers, in comparison to the 9.6 million who had tuned in the previous week.

When last seen, Abby was flirting with womanizer Barney (cast member Neil Patrick Harris). The new episode, which began production Monday, has Abby and Barney sharing their mutual dislike of Ted (cast member Josh Radnor) and acting on it.

"Desperate to get a rise out of his former pal, Barney pops a surprising question to Abby," CBS said in a release.

"How I Met Your Mother" stars Harris, Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel ("Forgetting Sarah Marshall") as an urban family of 20-something New Yorkers.

The pop star's camp originally approached the show about taking part, executive producer Carter Bays told The Associated Press earlier this month.

Dura 9 minutos y de hecho no está completo, pero sí te da una noción del proceso y hasta te hace pensar que es muy fácil.

A FOXlife anunciou a estreia da nova temporada da aclamada Nip/Tuck, assim como de três novas temporadas de duas comédias da CBS.

Nip/Tuck - 5ª Temporada - Christian Troy (Julian McMahon; Quarteto Fantástico) e Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh; A Casa da Lagoa) estão de volta, para uma nova temporada de Nip/Tuck, desta feita em Hollywood. Depois de se divorciar de Julia (Joely Richardson; O Patriota), Sean abandona Miami com o sócio Christian, que havia acabado recentemente o noivado com Michelle, mudando a clínica McNamara/Troy para a cidade dos Anjos - Los Angeles. Com eles desloca-se também toda a equipa médica, incluindo a enfermeira Linda (Linda Klein) e a doutora Liz Cruz (Roma Maffia; Minutos Contados), que está decidida a começar uma nova vida emocional em L.A.

Quem começou uma vida emocional completamente nova foi Julia, que vive agora uma relação amorosa com (seleccione para ler os spoilers) uma mulher, Olivia Lord (Portia de Rossi; das séries Arrested Development e Ally McBeal). (fim de spoiler).

Além de Rossi, juntam-se também ao elenco recorrente os conhecidos actores Oliver Platt (Tempo de Matar) como Freddy Prune, o produtor de uma série de televisão na qual Sean participa, tanto como actor e como conselheiro técnico. Bradley Cooper (do filme Os Fura-Casamentos e da série A Vingadora) como Aidan Stone, o excêntrico protagonista de Hearts 'N Scalpels, a série fictícia na qual Sean participa. Paula Marshall como Kate Tinsley, a co-protagonista de Hearts 'N Scalpels. Kate é uma talentosa actriz, mas ainda assim insegura. É o interesse romântico de Sean nesta temporada. AnnaLynne McCord (spin-off de Beverly Hills 90210) como Eden Lord, a cruel e muito sensual filha da personagem de Rossi. Sharon Gless (da nova série da FOX, Espião Fora-de-Jogo) como Colleen Rose, uma brilhante agente que decide agenciar Sean.

Matt (John Hensley) e Kimber (Kelly Carlson) também regressam para mais uma temporada, no entanto participam em apenas sete e cinco episódios, respectivamente.

A série tem produção assegurada pelo FX (canal que exibe Nip/Tuck nos EUA) até à sua sétima temporada.

The man who packed the four chutes given to the mysterious skyjacker had said earlier that the newly found chute could not be Cooper's.

Earl Cossey, who sold parachutes at a skydiving operation in Issaquah in the 1970s, had provided the chutes that the FBI gave Cooper. He told The Columbian of Vancouver that the newly found chute "absolutely, for sure" could not have been one of the four that he provided.

"The D.B. Cooper parachute was made of nylon," he said. "This 1945 parachute was made of silk."

And another trail goes cold.

But here's an interesting side story:

In March of 1995, a woman named Jo Weber received a phone call from her dying husband, Florida antique dealer, Duane Weber. He whispered "I'm Dan Cooper" to his puzzled wife. Since Jo had no idea what the name Dan Cooper might mean to the legend of D.B. Cooper, she didn't react the way Duane apparently wanted her to. He blurted out in frustration, "Oh, let it die with me."

In 1996, Jo discussed a lot of the past with her mysterious husband with a friend, relating that not long before he dies, Duane had revealed that the case of his existing knee injury was "jumping out of a plane."

In March 1997, Jo convinced Ralph Himmelsbach of the FBI to open a case file on Duane Weber. This file allowed the FBI to access and perform matching on unknown fingerprints found in the plane of the hijacking. However Weber's prints matched none of the prints on file. The curious part, is that no one knows that Cooper left any of the prints that Weber's were matched against either. The case was closed in July of 1998, saying they needed more conclusive evidence to keep it open.

Everything's going so greatly. Ms. C's birthday is right after the holidays and I have some ideas, I'm pretty sure I got an A on my science test...It's just good.

And there were three new articles of Alyson Hannigan pictures on whedon.info yesterday night, and she was in The Late Late Night With Craig Ferguson.

I like all of the pictures, but the ones from the Forgetting Sarah Marshall premiere are awesome. Doesn't she just look so sweet in that yellow dress? And with her husband?

Those are the really important ones, so I'm not putting the other ones. There's only one from the How I Met Your Mother set, and two from some store opening place.

But I'm so excited to watch the talk show! I've found only one torrent so far, and it doesn't work :( . I so wanna watch it. But I read that she was wearing a really gorgeous green dress and that she was less nervous than she was on the last show she was on (way back in September). 'Cause in the last one, she said 'absolutely' like ten times in eight minutes. Isn't it so cute that she's been on these things like more than twenty times and she was still nervous? Aw.

I guess it's pretty understandable though, I mean, before September she hadn't been on a talk show since November of 2006. Seriously, during Buffy and the beginning of How I Met Your Mother, she was everywhere! Between February 1999 and February 2006, she was in 38 shows. I might've missed some, and that's not counting other appearances such as short E!News sort of stuff, and Buffy events. That's one show every 2,2 months. I did the math. That's how frustrated I am. 

Why is she never anywhere anymore?! It's insane. Can't people see the awesomeness that is her? For God's sake. The world is so wrong.

Alyson Hannigan showed up in a pastel yellow dress to the Hollywood premier of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" last night in Hollywood, California.  She's been lying low for a while!  What do you think of her fashion choice?
