- Tankian ostro rusza do boju! Atakuje ostrym riffem, jednak Masta blokuje. Doskonale zna zagrywki Serja – to samo mieliśmy przecież w czasach, gdy promotorem mistrza był System of a Down. Tankian zyskuje przewagę za pomocą świetnego wokalu. Pod tym względem nic się nie zmienił.
- Tak. Serj w dalszym ciągu ma ogromną skalę głosu i charakterystyczną barwę. Dzięki temu potrafi świetnie oddziaływać na emocje i tym samym podkreślić znaczenie politycznie zabarwionych tekstów.
- Masta jednak odpiera kolejne ataki i sam naciera. Tym razem uderza w grę sekcji rytmicznej, która sprawia wrażenie jakby nie chciała się wychylać tylko pozostać w cieniu wokalu.
- Zapewne jest celowy zabieg, w końcu „Elect the Dead” to solowy album wokalisty i to jego partie powinny być na pierwszym planie. Dla mnie jednak ogromnie istotna gra perkusji, bo kocham wysokiej klasy walenie w gary. Tutaj jednak tej wysokiej klasy nie uświadczymy.
- Kolejne ciosy pretendenta wymierzone są w nudę, która po jakimś czasie ogarnia słuchacza przy zapoznawaniu się z albumem słynnego Ormianina. Poszczególne utwory są do siebie podobne, oparte na tych samych schematach i elementach.
- Owszem. Mniej jest tutaj tej dzikości, która od zawsze towarzyszyła muzyce Serja. Widocznie dojrzał i postanowił wydać poważną płytę.
- Teraz po raz kolejny mistrz zyskuje przewagę. Naciera wpadającymi w ucho melodiami. Nie są może one jakieś szczególnie skomplikowane, ale ujmują słuchacza.
- Tym razem Tankian zaskoczył Mastę, który chyba więcej spodziewał się po starym wyjadaczu.
- Dlatego pretendent z łatwością odpiera te ataki i uśmiecha się lekceważąco do Serja. Masta uderza w pójście na łatwiznę przez Tankiana. Jego piosenki są łatwe, proste i przyjemne przez co z pewnością dotrą do szerokiego grona odbiorców podobnie jak wcześniejsze twory mistrza spod znaku SOAD, których słuchali zarówno „metalowcy” jak i zwykli słuchacze radia czy maniacy muzyki dyskotekowej.
- Jednak muzyka „systemu” wprowadziła nieco świeżości do szeroko pojętych ciężkich brzmień, czego nie można powiedzieć o najnowszym dziele Tankiana. Muzyk zaczyna zjadać sobie ogon. Kurczowe trzymanie się stylu zapoczątkowanego na albumie „System of a Down” i później tylko rozwijanego nie wychodzi mu na dobre. Wprowadził oczywiście parę nowych elementów jak np. śladowe ilości klawiszy czy instrumentów smyczkowych, ale wyraźnie odczuwa się brak gitary Malakiana. I tutaj po raz kolejny punktuje Masta.

GONG

- I tak minęła nam pierwsza runda. Zawodnicy schodzą do narożników. Tankian schodzi nawet z ringu! Co się z nim dzieje?! Czyżby wystraszył się młodego wilczka?! Nie mogę uwierzyć własnym oczom! Zszedł z ringu! Uciekł!
- Podobnie jak kiedyś Andrzej. Walka zostanie pewnie uznana za nie odbytą i tytuł zostanie u Serja. Nie znaczy to oczywiście, że mistrz kończy karierę.
- Szkoda, że ta walka kończy się w ten sposób, bo do tej pory mieliśmy świetne widowisko. Publiczność będzie się teraz pewnie domagać zwrotu pieniędzy za bilety, ale to już nie nasz problem. Tymczasem przenosimy się do studia.

Z tym co napisał Masta nie zgodzić się nie sposób, no, może nie ze wszystkim. Fakt, album mocno zalatuje starym SoaD, jednak nie jest to "kurczowe trzymanie się" tego stylu, jest trochę poważniej, trochę patetycznie? W każdym razie nieco inaczej. Ale tylko "nieco", niestety. Ocena: 7-/10

It's a fixed gear bike, or track bike, meaning that the pedals are permanently attached the rear wheel. If the wheel is moving, the pedals are moving; no coasting. Fixed gears have a kind of underground following. I have a couple friends who ride them and got me to make my bike a "fixie." It's quite different than riding a normal bike.

I'm looking forward to not driving as much. I think all the hype about global warming is mostly just that: hype. But I believe in taking care of what God has given us, and that includes Earth, so I'm all for bicycles and alternative fuels.

I know this post doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the ones I've written so far, but hey, now you know a little more about me.

Biography

The Polyphonic Spree is a self-described "choral symphonic rock" group from the Dallas, Texas area. The band generally consists of a 10-person choir, a pair of keyboardists, as well as a percussionist, drummer, bassist, guitarist, flautist, trumpeter, trombonist, violinist/violist, harpist, French horn player, a pedal steel player, theremin player, and an electronic effects person. Individual members and the number of musicians vary because of the flexibility necessary in travelling with such a large band.

I recently travelled five hours to go see a concert with some friends. I didn't even have to buy the ticket, it was a spare one that was offered to me. I graciously accepted the offer, and embarked upon my journey to see said show. Now, I don't drive a very fuel efficient vehicle; as a matter of fact, I drive a gas-guzzling SUV that would make Rex Tillerson proud. (If things get worse, trust me, it's gone) Before I even get one mile down the road, I have to fill up my gas tank. I believe my tank can hold about 20 gallons, and at $3.93 a gallon, that comes out to around $77 to fill up (and note, I was below empty when I filled up). My trip was a total of 754.3 miles around trip, so mathematically that equals, at about 18 mpg (which is generous for my guzzler), approximately $165 round trip for gas. So about $200 out the door just as fixed cost for getting there and back.
If this shit continues, imagine where we will be in another year?

Airlines are just as bad. They're cutting back services and charging $15 just to check a bag because they're feeling the pinch as well. Sure, they went through a phase of low ticket prices to put asses in seats and rely on volume to make up the difference, but that tactic slowly revealed itself to be about as unavailing as George Carlin performing at Lakewood Church. In order to turn a buck, they have now cut-back on the number of available flights and increased ticket prices. (Not to mention numerous surcharges)

Yada, yada, yada. I know you've all heard this before, but it begs the question: What effects will this constriction of a person's ability to travel have on society as a whole?

Well it's really quite simple.
We will continue to buy shit we don't need, eat food that makes us fat, and travel less.
We will stay home more, associate with the same people, and never experience anything more than the vacay to OBX. We will depend on opinion machines to feed us information and tell us what to think in crystal-clear 1080i.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid because I've barely traveled outside the continental U.S. myself.

And I'm starting to feel the pinch.

J'aime pas cuisiner. Je suis nulle en cuisine de toute façon. Sauf si pour le commun des mortels, cuisiner se résume à hamburgers surgelés, pâtes ou riz à la sauce tomate, pizzas surgelés, ou sandwich jambon/fromage. (Fromage à tartiner, important la nuance) (parce qu'il y a pas de bords à enlever, et que dans un accès soudain de craderie, tu peux plonger les doigts dedans).

D'ailleurs le truc que je pige pas, c'est que la console de jeux existe depuis un bail, mais que le four qui cuisine tout seul, niet. Il y a comme un bug dans l'évolution là.

Et ça je réussi toujours au moins. Ouais bon j'avoue, j'ai déjà réussi à faire cramer en 10 min, un gâteau au chocolat tout fait en sachet. C'est devenu ludique, le truc je l'ai fait roulé, et il a roulé, sans se casser. Et il a fini dans le mur, sans se casser. J'ai reussi à créer un gateau génétiquement modifié.

Quand j'essaie de cuisiner pour de VRAI, c'est dégueulasse. C'est une malédiction, qui fait que du coup, même mon homme m'interdit de cuisiner. Sauf quand il est pas là le soir, parce qu'il travaille, là je suis bien obligée de me nourrir seule, en parfaite autonomie. Des fois, car Dame Procrastination déclare sa pleine lune, je mange pas. Je suis pas contrariante comme fille.

Faut dire, et là je vais encore me faire jeter des pierres, que j'ai pécho un cuisinier de métier, un vrai de vrai quoi. Le destin est clément des fois. Qui me fait des plats mangeables, avec des vrais trucs dedans. C'est à dire, des choses qui ne sortent pas du congélateur. Et même que souvent les assiettes sont belles (Selon son humeur, parait que j'en demande trop des fois).

Mais il est facile à corrompre à coup de livraison de hamburger speed burger, ça m'évite la vaisselle après. (Je suis profiteuse mais pas encore conne hin).

J'ai donc décidé de faire un comparatif repas entre lui et moi.

La différence entre le cuisinier, et la personne normale, c'est que même le cuisinier, se fait pas chier à faire un truc élaboré le soir, et même qu'il utilise des assiettes pourries, mais il arrive quand même à travailler la présentation, et te faire un plat équilibré en 15 min chrono.

Vu que je suis incapable de choisir, parce que je suis une fille parfaite et formidable quand même, je dis qu'il faut varier les deux quand même, ça apporte un équilibre de vie, ça ouvre les chacras (non pas les akras!), on se sent belle, les gens nous remarque, et on fini par devenir populaire et riche. Dessa vez é fato. Vazou o novo e segundo álbum do CSS 'Donkey'. Apesar de muita gente jurar que já tinha, o que vazou dias atrás era um fake e segundo fontes tuiteiras (@flaviadurante) essa é a real. A banda já tinha lançado os singles 'Rat is dead (Rage)' e o 'Left Behind'. A MTV também já conseguiu em primeira mão o vídeo do 'Rat is Dead (Rage)' e já se espalhou por aí.

I'm a fan of music from all over the world. Anyone that has come here before knows this. Doesn't matter where it is, or what language it's in. If it's good and it falls my reach, it's being listened to. Period. Having said that, again, I'd like to state something. For the most part, I really enjoy Visual Kei bands. If you don't know what Visual Kei is, then I advise you to hop on the highly debated website Wikipedia and take a gander at it. Now, I said for the most part. Because, some of those bands go too far and sound far too pop with their music. So, let's say I like the Dark Visual Kei bands, including Former V-K artists Dir en Grey And D'espairsRay(whom changed their name from DéspairsRay). I've recently gotten into the V-K band, Girugämesh. They are, for lack of a better term, Japanese musical monsters.

This four piece make-up drenched, costume riddled outfit attacks with just as much fierceness as many of the top lining Alternative/Metal acts around the globe. Having released 2 EPs as well as 2 LPs, the album I'd like to speak upon is their most recently released: The self-titled album, Girugämesh. The band always had a knack for aggression as well as a thirst for the theatrics. On the S/T, they crank up their creativity and experimentation, a notch. The Intro of the album comes on like something taken from the American band Slipknot. With the tribal drums and bone rattling distorted guitar that flips and starts riffing like it was gas powered by Turntable juice a la Tom Morello.

The song "Patchwork" kicks in, immediately after, without a stride being lost. Giru pulls out the keyboard as well as electronic effects to showcase their more Industrial Metal side. Satoshi has never sounded more alive than he does on this first full song on the album. He goes from singing in a normal daring tone, then becomes a man possessed once the chorus kicks in, with the tension building during the bridge better verses and chorus. Speaking of Slipknot, Girgu even has a song named after one of their biggest hits "Vermillion." Don't worry, it isn't a cover. It's their own composition. The song, though, seems more for a shining like for Nii than it does any other member. His guitar work on the track is bar none fantastic.

"Barikedo" comes on with a single power chord, followed by a looped heavily electronically distorted simple constant riff. The cycle repeats, but what is added is a digital static run through the back left to right front channel. When the fully kicks in, for the pre-chorus, you can see that these boys are not here to play. They are fully about their business, and you're going to either pay the admission price or become their roadkill. Yes, it's just that serious. The verses are easy to get into, and sound like they are sung by a man afraid of what he's about to do to you(Bruce Banner, anyone?). That is the perfect balance from the chorus.

Other great tracks include "Shining," "Crazy-Flag," and the dynamic "Dance Rock Night." A few tracks seem a bit more commercial than the rest of the album. Those are Guitar Hero ready "Rocker's" and the MTV Japan set(Is that even a channel?) song "Domino." While neither are actually BAD songs, they both seem more aimed towards selling units and eases off of the aggression some. The former not so much, but you can definitely hear that, at least in Japan, that track will be released for download on the Guitar Hero or Rock Band series. The latter, again, isn't a bad song. But, it does sound like a glorified version of an Anime theme song. That can go either way for you, depending on how you enjoy Anime music. I would throw the album closer "Koware Teiku Sekai" into that mix. But, the overly dramatic scream done a little past halfway into the song, plus the length of the track ruins it for being a top commercial contender.

So, if you're a J-Metal/J-Rock fan, then you need to really take a gander at these guys. I know that I'm definitely glad that I did. If you have an issue about not understanding the language of the music that you're listening to, then you're not only good at staying away from this type of music, but also putting yourself in a very small peg musically. Take a chance, guitar lovers. You might have found the make-up wearers of your dreams.

Ok, eu não vi começo melhor que este. Para dar início ao blog, optei por uma das bandas mais lindinhas que conheci. O MGMT (Management) é um duo formado por universitários, fazem um som modernista e retrô ao mesmo tempo. Usam dos artefatos eletropop, glam, space rock, folk e psicodelia sessentista, baseado nisto, produziram um dos melhores discos do ano.

MENURUNNYA tinggi muka air di berbagai bendungan-terutama yang dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pembangkit listrik tenaga air (PLTA)-telah menurunkan pasokan listrik di Jawa hingga 500 megawatt. Sebagai salah satu sumber pemasok listrik, PLTA bersama pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) dan pembangkit listrik tenaga gas (PLTG) memang memegang peran penting terhadap ketersediaan listrik terutama di Jawa, Madura, dan Bali. Energi angin yang sebenarnya berlimpah di Indonesia ternyata belum dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif penghasil listrik.

PADAHAL, di berbagai negara, pemanfaatan energi angin sebagai sumber energi alternatif nonkonvensional sudah semakin mendapatkan perhatian.

Hal ini tentu saja didorong oleh kesadaran terhadap timbulnya krisis energi dengan kenyataan bahwa kebutuhan energi terus meningkat sedemikian besarnya.

Di samping itu, angin merupakan sumber energi yang tak ada habisnya sehingga pemanfaatan sistem konversi energi angin akan berdampak positif terhadap lingkungan.

Asal Energi angin

Semua energi yang dapat diperbaharui dan bahkan energi pada bahan bakar fosil-kecuali energi pasang surut dan panas bumi-berasal dari Matahari. Matahari meradiasi 1,74 x 1.014 kilowatt jam energi ke Bumi setiap jam. Dengan kata lain, Bumi menerima 1,74 x 1.017 watt daya.

Sekitar 1-2 persen dari energi tersebut diubah menjadi energi angin. Jadi, energi angin berjumlah 50-100 kali lebih banyak daripada energi yang diubah menjadi biomassa oleh seluruh tumbuhan yang ada di muka Bumi.

Sebagaimana diketahui, pada dasarnya angin terjadi karena ada perbedaan temperatur antara udara panas dan udara dingin. Daerah sekitar khatulistiwa, yaitu pada busur 0°, adalah daerah yang mengalami pemanasan lebih banyak dari Matahari dibanding daerah lainnya di Bumi.

Daerah panas ditunjukkan dengan warna merah, oranye, dan kuning pada gambar inframerah dari temperatur permukaan laut yang diambil dari satelit NOAA-7 pada Juli 1984. Udara panas lebih ringan daripada udara dingin dan akan naik ke atas sampai mencapai ketinggian sekitar 10 kilometer dan akan tersebar ke arah utara dan selatan.

Jika Bumi tidak berotasi pada sumbunya, maka udara akan tiba di kutub utara dan kutub selatan, turun ke permukaan lalu kembali ke khatulistiwa. Udara yang bergerak inilah yang merupakan energi yang dapat diperbaharui, yang dapat digunakan untuk memutar turbin dan akhirnya dapat menghasilkan listrik.

Mekanisme turbin angin

Sebuah pembangkit listrik tenaga angin dapat dibuat dengan menggabungkan beberapa turbin angin sehingga menghasilkan listrik ke unit penyalur listrik. Listrik dialirkan melalui kabel transmisi dan didistribusikan ke rumah-rumah, kantor, sekolah, dan sebagainya.

Turbin angin dapat memiliki tiga buah bilah turbin. Jenis lain yang umum adalah jenis turbin dua bilah.

Jadi, bagaimana turbin angin menghasilkan listrik? Turbin angin bekerja sebagai kebalikan dari kipas angin. Bukannya menggunakan listrik untuk membuat angin, seperti pada kipas angin, turbin angin menggunakan angin untuk membuat listrik.

Angin akan memutar sudut turbin, kemudian memutar sebuah poros yang dihubungkan dengan generator, lalu menghasilkan listrik. Turbin untuk pemakaian umum berukuran 50-750 kilowatt. Sebuah turbin kecil, kapasitas 50 kilowatt, digunakan untuk perumahan, piringan parabola, atau pemompaan air.

Jenis turbin angin

Dalam perkembangannya, turbin angin dibagi menjadi jenis turbin angin propeler dan turbin angin Darrieus. Kedua jenis turbin inilah yang kini memperoleh perhatian besar untuk dikembangkan.

Pemanfaatannya yang umum sekarang sudah digunakan adalah untuk memompa air dan pembangkit tenaga listrik.

Turbin angin propeler adalah jenis turbin angin dengan poros horizontal seperti baling- baling pesawat terbang pada umumnya. Turbin angin ini harus diarahkan sesuai dengan arah angin yang paling tinggi kecepatannya.

Kecepatan angin diukur dengan alat yang disebut anemometer. Anemometer jenis mangkok adalah yang paling banyak digunakan. Anemometer mangkok mempunyai sumbu vertikal dan tiga buah mangkok yang berfungsi menangkap angin.

Jumlah putaran per menit dari poros anemometer dihitung secara elektronik. Biasanya, anemometer dilengkapi dengan sudut angin untuk mendeteksi arah angin.

Jenis anemometer lain adalah anemometer ultrasonik atau jenis laser yang mendeteksi perbedaan fase dari suara atau cahaya koheren yang dipantulkan dari molekul-molekul udara.

Turbin angin Darrieus merupakan suatu sistem konversi energi angin yang digolongkan dalam jenis turbin angin berporos tegak. Turbin angin ini pertama kali ditemukan oleh GJM Darrieus tahun 1920.

Keuntungan dari turbin angin jenis Darrieus adalah tidak memerlukan mekanisme orientasi pada arah angin (tidak perlu mendeteksi arah angin yang paling tinggi kecepatannya) seperti pada turbin angin propeler.

Di Indonesia telah mulai dikembangkan proyek percontohan baik oleh lembaga penelitian maupun oleh pusat studi beberapa perguruan tinggi. Proyek ini perlu memperoleh perhatian dari pihak yang terkait untuk dikembangkan karena membutuhkan riset yang cukup intensif mengenai kecepatan angin, lokasi penempatan turbin angin, serta cara untuk mengatur pembebanan turbin yang tidak merata. Misalnya pada malam hari angin cukup kencang, sedangkan pada pagi dan siang hari kecepatan angin turun sehingga harus ada mekanisme penyimpanan energi serta mekanisme untuk menstabilkan fluktuasi tegangan listrik yang dihasilkan.

Dalam situasi yang serba kekurangan pasokan listrik seperti sekarang, tampaknya alternatif energi angin perlu dikaji ulang. Selain hasilnya selalu berkelanjutan, harganya pun kompetitif dibanding pembangkit listrik lainnya.

Warum der Umstieg? Kurz zusammengefasst...

Kurz zusammen gefasst: Wenn ich bestimmte Informationen nicht an Interessierte weitergebe, dann dachte ich bis jetzt, dass diese Informationen auch "intern", also bei mir im Kopf bleiben. Wenn ich also keine "Treupunkte" auf irgendeiner Rabattkarte speichern möchte, dann verzichte ich auf 10% Rabatt und auf die sorgfältige Speicherung meiner Daten. Oder? (An dieser Stelle würde ich mich über Kommentare freuen, falls ich falsch liege)

"Einmal hin. Alles drin." Auch meine Daten? Wenn ein Einkaufsgeschäfft jetzt Google wäre (als Beispiel für die Pay-Back-Karte und so), dann würden sie mein Kaufverhalten auf Vorrat speichern. Nur so - ohne Hintergedanken. Immer wenn ich zu meiner Haustür rein und rausgehe, melde ich mich an und bekomme eine eindeutige zuordenbare Nummer auf meine Jacke gedruckt. Die Nummer, die Farbe meiner Jacke (+ Telefongespräche mit dazugehörigem Aufenthaltsort versteht sich) wird nun sechs Monate auf Vorrat gespeichert. Das macht die Regierung. Dann speichert das Einkaufsgeschäfft aber auch noch meine Einkaufsdaten. Toll. Fertig ist die fehlende Privatssphäre!

"Ich habe doch nichts zu verbergen?" Nicht, dass das eben geschilderte Szenario (wie im wirklichen Leben ja bereits passiert) bereits ein dicker Hund wäre... denken wir die Sache etwas weiter. Meine Blicke im Regal werden überwacht und meine Interessen ebenfalls sorgfältig gespeichert. Muss doch nicht sein oder? Ist doch meine Sache.

"Ixquick macht Schluss mit 'Big Brother'" Wenn ich nun aber weiß, dass meine Aktivitäten überwacht und protokolliert werden, dann ist das zwar scheiße aber ich sollte mir selber über mein Internet-Nutzungsverhalten schleunigst Gedanken machen. Ich habe lange Google verwendet. Jetzt wird die Suchmaschine "Ixquick" getestet. Jacke und Nummer, wie oben erwähnt, bleiben zu Hause. Die Blicke im Regal sind hinter einer Sonnenbrille versteckt.
