La forma sutil de la aceituna, el insinuado pedúnculo y el delicado canal por donde debe discurrir el aceite de oliva se depositan sobre una hoja plateada cuyos reflejos imitan ese verde plata que inunda los días de viento en cualquier campo de olivos. Intressant fråga.Alltså inte om män har ett sexuellt behov eller inte utan varför lösvaginor inte säljs.
Jag misstänker att de förpassats till porren,det fula,smutsiga och förbjudnas domäner.Det icke-politiskt korrekta.Män är ju sexmonster,alltså ska de inte uppmuntras.Är det så apoteket tänker när de lanserar rosa,vågformade dildos och geishakulor?Eller tycker de helt enkelt att män inte behöver någon hjälp på traven?Att de klarar sig så bra utan hjälpmedel?
Kanske.Men varför skulle jag som kvinna då behöva det?Fundera på det!

That's because I'm applying to be a blogger for a travel website that promotes New York City attractions and I have to submit a sample post. I didn't want to pick something too cliche, like The Empire State Building. Nor did I want to go the morose route of writing about Grant's tomb (although you can't beat An Attraction to Take For Granted! as a title). So I chose Pinkberry.

The song is super catchy, even if it is a bit difficult to sing along to without falling behind during the PIN-KBE-RRY refrain. (0:31) My Junior Year of High School, when I played Aunt Eller, I couldn't spell Oklahoma, either. O-K-L-O-M-H-A!

Pinkberry is only available in New York City and California. That, coupled with long lines, helps qualify it as an Attraction. There are currently 13 locations in Manhattan. Mayan legend has it that 13 crystal skulls will one day unite and save humanity from a horrible catastrophe. Now I'm fairly certain these "skulls" are Pinkberry stores (Mayan is so easily mistranslated) where the delicious dispensed goodness is crystalline cold and quite possibly our only means of averting nuclear war.

Pinkberry, as a verb, means to wait. First you pinkberry on the curb next to stinky Soho trash, and then you pinkberry indoors on a faux-pebble floor, slowly filing past adorable but unnecessary kitchen kitsch by Italian designer Alessi: an egg-cup in the shape of a blue alien, for example. But all this pinkberrying has an air of urban hipness. It's like the L train, only pastel, and with $500 Philippe Starck Victoria Ghost chairs.

Sure, I think the name Pinkberry sounds like an alternate ending for Citizen Cane , but I love the tart, natural taste of its three fro-yo flavors (Green Tea, Coffee, and Original) and the huge selection of fresh fruit toppings. Also, with 13 locations, you're guaranteed not to be in this line:

Ein Sanitätshaus buchte mich anläßlich einer Feier -die Harfe sollte ich schon am Vormittag vor Ort bringen, da der Transport sonst am Abend sehr kompliziert wäre.Mir war das nicht so recht, denn so würde mein gesamter Vormittag flöten gehen...

Es war dann doch nicht so zeitaufwändig wie vermutet, denn die Harfe mußte von der Bar jeder Vernunft, wo ich zur Zeit spiele, in die Lützowstr, gebracht werden.Also keine Fernfahrt.

In der Lützowstr.bzw. um die Ecke in der Genthiner Str. befinden sich einige Möbelhäuser, Autoteile-Geschäft, Babybedarf-Großmärkte (und das Arbeitsgericht).

Eine nicht sehr attraktive Gegend also(-die Ausnahme ist das durch den Krieg nicht zerstörte Cafe Einstein).Der Parkplatz war also auch ein normaler Sanitätshaus-Kunden-Parkplatz und ich fragte mich zunächst, ob das der richtige Eingang sei.

Er war es.Mein Ansprechpartner holte mich ab und gemeinsam fuhren wir mit dem Fahrstuhl in die obere Etage, da ich in einem Zelt auf der Dachterasse spielen sollte.Durch die Ausstellung mit den ausgefallensten und schicksten Bäder für den sehr großen Geldbeutel mußten wir die Harfe mit schieben-und wie immer war ich sehr froh, daß ich eine Sackkarre für die Harfe besitze.Es gab dort sogar ein Badezimmer-Sofa und Stühle in Form von alten Badewannen und einen Badezuber mit kleinem Eimer wie zu Urgroßmutters Zeiten....

Auf dem Weg traf ich einen meiner Lieblingsfotografen:Andre Rival, der mich auch schon fotografiert hat ( er sollte für ein Magazin einige Produkte fotografieren), auf die Frage, ob er zu Premiere in die Bar jeder Vernunft käme, antwortete er: „Nein, leider nicht, ich muß Nadja Auermann fotografieren...."

Aber das war ja noch nicht alles....

Auf einmal kam ich in einen großen Saal mit einer Bühne, Bestuhlung und einem Rang. Auf der Bühne waren Techniker zugange, die das Rednerpult für Signore Alessi (ja, genau, DER Designer!)ausleuchteten.Ich staunte über die Geräumigkeit, denn vorher war ich ja durch die enge Austellung gelaufen.

Ich sah mir den Saal genauer an:

An den Wänden waren teilweise goldene Jugendstil-Ornamente angebracht und dunkelblaue alte Wandtapeten! Alte Lüster hingen von der Decke... Oben am Rang konnte ich die Sackkarre abstellen und entdeckte Stücke alten roten -immer noch weichen-Samts, die an der Brüstung angenagelt waren. Was für eine Überraschung!

Meine Neugier war geweckt und ich konnte es nicht erwarten, meinen mittlerweile wieder mit anderen Dingen beschäftigten Ansprechpartner zu treffen, der mir Auskunft geben könnte-

Auf dem Weg zur Dachterasse sah ich noch eine winzige metallene Wendeltreppe.

Der Gig verlief wunderbar, es war angenehm warm (=warme Hände zum Harfe spielen!),ich saß unter einem Zelt geschützt vor der Sonne-eine Dame hatte mich schon einmal im Felix Restaurant spielen hören und freute sich, mich wiederzusehen-man sagte mir, der Kunde sei mehr als zufrieden....

Am Ende des Abends sah ich nun den Ansprechpartner wieder und ich fragte ihn über den Saal und das Gebäude aus und bekam nur eine Antwort: „das war mal früher der Schumann-Saal."Er schien meine Euphorie nicht so zu teilen, er hat das bestimmt schon mehr als einmal sagen müssen...

Nachdem ich die Harfe wieder zurück in die Bar jeder Vernunft gebracht hatte, googelte ich zu Hause im Internet und siehe da-ich fand im Archiv der Berliner Zeitung folgenden Artikel von Stefan Strauss, den ich hier gekürzt zitiere:

"Der vergessene Saal

In den prächtigen Sälen des Hauses Lützowstraße 76 fanden einst große Orchesterkonzerte und Liederabende statt. Der kleinere von beiden, der frühere Schwechte- und spätere Schumannsaal, galt zwischen 1910 und 1945 als einer der schönsten und berühmtesten Konzertsäle Berlins. Er hatte 500 Plätze und einen Rang.

. Die Scheinwerfer hängen noch über der Bühne, verstaubt und verschmutzt. Vergoldete Ornamente und blaue Stoffbahnen lassen den einstigen Prunk ahnen. Die Säle im Haus an der Lützowstraße 76 waren in ihrer Glanzzeit berühmt. Ihre Akustik begeisterte Musikliebhaber und Konzertkritiker gleichermaßen. "Das Klavier klang ausgezeichnet, der getragene Ton floss rund und voll in den Saal, und auch dem Gesang kamen die klanglichen Verhältnisse des Saales aufs Günstigste entgegen", hieß es in einer Konzertkritik über den Schumannsaal aus den dreißiger Jahren. "Die Akustik des Bachsaales ist wundervoll", schrieb Wilhelm Klatte, Musikprofessor der Universität Berlin. Die Deutsche Grammophon AG nutzte die Säle für Schallplatten- und Rundfunkaufnahmen. Auch das UFA-Sinfonieorchester spielte dort.

Ein Aktenlager

Doch der Glanz von einst ist verblasst. Heute ist der Schumannsaal ein vergessener Saal, verborgen hinter einer unscheinbaren Fassade. Wer an dem Haus vorbeigeht, ahnt nicht, was sich hinter den schmalen Fensterreihen verbirgt. Tatsächlich wissen weder Mitarbeiter des Denkmalamtes noch des Heimatmuseums Tiergarten etwas über die Konzertsäle. "Wir haben keine Ahnung", muss auch eine Sprecherin des Landesdenkmalamtes zugeben. Selbst Musikprofessoren und Orgelspezialisten fanden keine Hinweise auf die Säle in ihren Archiven.

In der verriegelten Toreinfahrt hängen heute noch goldglänzende Mosaikbilder. Davor stehen hohe Regale mit neuen Toilettenbecken und Wascharmaturen. Sie gehören der Sanitär- und Heizungsfirma Bergmann & Franz, die das Grundstück 1965 gekauft hat. Den Schumannsaal nutzt die Firma als Aktenlager, für Betriebsfeiern und kleine Empfänge. "Für den Schumann- saal", sagt Prokurist Uwe Grahl, "hat sich bisher niemand interessiert."

Geschichte eines Hauses // 1907 ließ der Komponist und und Dvorak-Schüler Robert Robitschek zwei Konzertsäle in der Lützowstraße 76 bauen. In den damaligen Blüther-Saal baute die Firma E. F. Walcker eine Konzertorgel mit 60 Registern. Robitschek war Direktor des nahe gelegenen Konservatoriums Klindworth-Scharwenka in der Genthiner Straße. Die Musikschüler und Komponisten nutzten die Säle für Proben und Konzertaufführungen Zu ihnen gehörten auch Paul Dessau und Hanns Eisler.

1923 übernahm Oskar Schwalm das Haus. Das Konservatorium litt unter der Weltwirtschaftskrise und musste Räume aufgeben.

1928 gab es drei Säle im Haus: der Feurig-Saal (330 Plätze) befand sich im Erdgeschoss, der Bachsaal (1 162 Plätze) und der Schwechte-Saal (500 Plätze) lagen darüber.

1932 wurde der Feurig-Saal geschlossen. Schwalm war verschuldet und beklagte gegenüber der Baupolizei die "trostlose Geschäftslage". Er konnte Reparaturen im Haus nicht mehr bezahlen.

1942, nach Schwalms Tod, kaufte die Stadt Berlin das Haus für 320 000 Reichsmark. Der Schwechte-Saal wurde in Schumannsaal umbenannt. Die Stadt setzte einen Zwangsverwalter ein und vermietete die Säle auch für Konzertaufnahmen.

1945 wurde das Dach des Schumannsaales bei Bombardierungen stark beschädigt. Den Bachsaal nutzte die Möbelfirma Dahlke nach dem Krieg als Möbellager.

1949 zerstörte ein Großbrand etwa 700 Quadratmeter Lagerfläche und Möbel auf dem Gelände. Dabei wurde auch der Bachsaal zerstört.

1950 ließ das Bezirksamt Tiergarten das vom Krieg beschädigte Dach des Schumannsaales notdürftig reparieren.

1965 kaufte die Firma Bergmann & Franz das Grundstück für 630 000 Mark vom Land Berlin."

Das war also das Geheimnis des Sanitätshauses! Die Gäste sind bestimmt früher vor oder nach den Konzerten ins Café Einstein gegangen-ich habe bildlich vor Augen, wie der Saal wohl ausgesehen haben mag und bin begeistert, an welchen Orten ich Harfe spielen darf!

I was in my friend's kitchen the other day and heard the sound of his kettle whistling. The crescending sound brought me back to when I was child and this was the one regular sound- a constant soundtrack to our household.

It struck me then, how much I miss this sound. That shrill whistle. The one that starts tiny and reaches a maximum high, demanding attention. Like a schoolbell that signals the end of the school day, this instantly recognisable sound is like the kitchen version of Pavlov's bell. A cuppa is about to be made.

I have not had a stove kettle for years now. My kitchen is filled with appliances that make electronic bleeps. The microwave that goes teeeet teeeeet teeeeeet when it's done with reheating your food, the oven that goes beeeeeeep when your muffins are ready. None with the charm of the stove kettle.

Since having dinner the other day, I have had the sound of the whistling kettle in my head and my eye on this little beauty by Alessi.

I am going to start by announcing the fact that we have just recorded a video for our first release which will be Black Morning... It was great funnish, and we learned how to mime. Miming is actually HELL. Not only did we have to mime, but we had to mime in slow motion. This turned out to be extremely difficult, yet incredible fun! The idea behind the video, was that director Christian [who is responsible for this quite impressive video] would record the footage at half speed, with us miming along.. like over exaggerating snail musicians, and then eventually speed everything up including the audio, to the original speed [Headfuck]. Meaning that basically, we will look like nutters. I'll post up the video when the wonderful Christian has finished working his ass off editing it all together!

Here are some photos from the shoot, which was staged in a big warehouse on Old St, in London.... and turned out to be a scene of remarkable professionalism, eventually turning into whiskey swigging debauchery ya...

i used to spend a few weeks a summer with two of my younger cousins in palo alto when they would visit their grandmother and uncles. i remember their grandmother always had a hard boiled egg ready for my youngest cousin every morning for breakfast. she would serve the egg to him with a spoon on a flat plate. at just 5 years old, my little cousin would usually end up chasing the egg around on the dining table. well if he had this little guy here he wouldn't have had that problem!

the 'cico' eggcup with salt castor and spoon designed by stefano giovannoni for alessi is plastic so kids definitely can't break it. the little baseball cap that cico wears is actually a salt shaker so your egg won't taste too bland. the eggcup is $15 and comes in blue, yellow, pink, or green.

Il 9 agosto scrissi che per Natale mi sarei ragalato l'i-phone. Ma l'invenzione dell'anno, in Italia non è ancora in vendita e bisognerà attendere ancora qualche mese (anche se qualche escamotage c'è!). Non c'è nulla di ufficiale, ma pare che in primavera potremo soddisfare il desiderio.

E allora ecco il regalo che mi son fatto. Il presepe di Alessi, regalo dello scorso anno, si è popolato di altri personaggi in ceramica... Natalino, Hal Freddo, Christmas Cow Boy (design Massimo Giacon), Celestino e Lieto (design di Miriam Mirri), Pinocchio (design di Marcello Jori).

Naturalmente ringrazio tutti coloro che mi hanno fatto un dono, inviato un sms una mail o un biglietto di auguri.

P.S. Per chi volesse farsi un piccolo regalo in questi giorni di festa... è possibile rivedere l'intervista di Fabio Fazio a Enzo Bianchi, priore della comunità di Bose, andata in onda lo scorso 23 dicembre su Rai 3. La festa del Natale, la gioia, il peccato, il dialogo, il silenzio sono i temi trattati. Piacevole ed interessante. Buona visione!

Demarrage tranquille avec Alessi, tout droit sortie des seventies avec sa grande robe de hippie. Ca plane tout doucement, ca colle au decor de Noel du Cargo.

Suivi d'un choc : l'Experimental (avec un enorme E) s'applique aussi au folk avec David Thomas Broughton. Voix incroyable, a la fois aerienne et profonde. Maitrise incontestees de la loop pedal, tres bon guitariste. Mais il vient du futur. De tres loin. Ou bien d'une autre dimension. D'un endroit ou un larsen de 5 minutes a sa place. Bienvenue aux rythmes bizarres, aux dissonances, aux mille-feuilles sonores. Ce mec a un vrai talent, mais il faut s'accrocher ! En tout cas c'est tres difficile a decrire.

Nos chouchous de Slow Club debarquent ensuite avec leur bonne humeur habituelle. Et 3 nouvelles chansons, joli cadeau pour le public. Mais leur set est trop court, vivement leur prochain vrai concert !

Pour finir, Simple Kid arrive seul avec guitare, banjo, harmonica, mac pro pour la ryhtmique et videoprojecteur. Musique tres sympa, des belles chansons, des jolis textes (ecoutez Serotonin). Cote image, il varie les plaisirs avec clips, karaokes, ou tout simplement affichage sans complexe de sa piste rythmique.

Bon point pour le End of the Road Festival qui nous gate a la sortie avec plein de jolis magazines de musique et d'enormes flyers accompagnes de CDs... On va ecouter tout ca dans l'Eurostar, et peut-etre reserver nos billets pour l'edition 2008 histoire d'ajouter un peu de folk dans nos oreilles :D
Bref une bonne soiree pour terminer l'annee. Soyez bien sages, et a l'annee prochaine !

L'amico (e per noi compagno) Tano Alessi ha invitato Lefteca ad entrare nel suo Konsorzio di Blog. Conoscendo Tano non abbiamo esitato un attimo ad accettare.

Ora aspettiamo maggiori dettagli in merito.

Se anche voi tenete in cucina Juicy Salif (1990), lo spremiagrumi di Philippe Starck, come una scultura e se non avete mai messo sul fuoco La Conica (1988), la famosa caffettiera di Aldo Rossi, perché l'acciaio si potrebbe appannare, col Natale 2007 potete fare un altro passo lungo la strada dei begli inutilia di ottimo design.

A di Alessi, la linea di "oggetti democratici e più accessibili" della nota casa di oggetti da cucina e di arredamento (top design, pop price), ha mandato nei negozi una bella serie di statuine natalizie, firmate da LPWK / Marcello Jori, Massimo Giacon (nomi che qualcuno ricorderà d'aver letto sul Frigidaire di Vincenzo Sparagna nei primi anni Ottanta e poi sul Linus di Oreste del Buono) e Miriam Mirri, che potete vedere in via San Lorenzo, nella vetrina di Radif.

Die Coban RS03 ist Alessi´s erstes elektrisches Küchengerät und kam erst nach einer langen Phase der Erwägung auf den Markt - und wurde gleich durch den Gewinn des Goldener Kompass Award bestätigt. Coban ist eine der wenigen Espressomaschinen am Markt die nahezu vollständig aus massivem Metall hergestellt wird. Coban ist ins zwei Varianten erhältlich - mit und ohne integrierter Kaffeemühle. Modell RS03 wird ohne integrierter Mühle geliefert. Design: Richard Sapper, 1997. Die Maschine gefällt uns sehr gut, macht aber nicht den besten Kaffee.
