Twitter is down for maintenance (boooooo , but I understand :)) and they put up this message:

Usually I think adorable little "hey, the monkey is loose"messages are sort of patronizing and not respectful of the fact that someone NEEDS that site (maybe, you never know). I mean, if my bank said "whoopsy, looks like the llama ate our server", you can BET I'd do the unheard of and pick up the phone and give someone what's what. What is what, anyway?

However, because my survival and GAPcard don't require Twitter, I can smile at the outage and reflect on it's baby blue and orange adorable whaleness and birdness. And it's polite.

As you can see, Bogey really feels insecure here at our house.

The internet is back up and running... but I don't really have anything to post about at the moment. Check with me tomorrow.

That is what Teri asked.

Right now Bogey is sleeping soundly in his little bed thingy. He seems to be outgrowing it, but since his other favorite place (the chair I am sitting in right now) is occupied by my ass, that is where he prefers to snooze. Sometimes he likes to try to fight me for the chair, scratching at my butt, or nudging under my knees, and sometimes I let him win.

He must be really tired, too, since I'm sure it was really hard work for him to pull the charcoal odor-filter things out of his litter box top... again.

I went to take a picture of him sleeping so sweetly, but he woke up and started cleaning himself....

First Time Cat Owner Lesson # 1...

Lesson #1- If you want to leave your bedroom door open so the new, cute kitty can come sleep with you, do NOT sleep with your face close to the edge of the bed unless you want some claws all up in your grill.
