Abstract:

The Care Home Activity Project was a feasibility study examining the effect of occupational therapy on levels of depression and quality of life of residents in care homes. This paper describes the costs of the one year occupational therapy intervention, the use and cost of services received by the residents both before and after the intervention and compares these with the services received by a control group over the same period. Eight homes in northern England were included in the study with four homes receiving the services of a full-time occupational therapist, the remaining four acting as the control group. Services received by residents in both groups were recorded at the beginning and end of the one year study. The cost of the occupational therapy intervention was computed from published unit costs with adjustments for travel, equipment costs and methods of working. There was a significant increase in the likelihood of using social services in the intervention homes. This could be explained by previously unrecognised needs being revealed by the therapists. There may have been a reduction in health costs in the intervention group. At 2005 levels, the net cost of providing the occupational therapy service was 16 (E23) per resident per week. This study demonstrates that occupational therapy is feasible in residential homes at modest cost. It may uncover unmet needs for some services. Future studies should match groups for hospital use at baseline.

Me in kaskusradio,, Last year in this date I was accepeted to be a radio DJ in Kaskus Radio.. so,, It's been a year.. A year with happy,, tears,, joys,, and laugh..
I'm gald to be part of this radio.. I'm also proud can be an announcer in a such great radio..
I've got a lot of new friends,, new lessons,, new experiences,, new songs.. LOL.. Yea,, it's just fun.. only one word can describe it all.. It's FUN..

Since I was in Indonesia,, become a radio DJ is always be in my dream.. I love to talk I love to entertaint people.. I thought that was an impossible dream but it's so not.. Although this is only a community radio.. I knew one of announcer from prambors radio (arie dagienkz) I knew him because I was in kaskusradio.. Was thinking to make a connection so then if one day I'm back to Indonesia I would probably can be an announcer in FM radio.. lol.. Just a wish..

Well yeaa.. A year with a lot of fun..

I did not mean what I was like, but who I am, inside of me. I want all people to know me through my artwork, photography, poems and fictions. I look at every people as same as the way I want them to look at me. It is not important for me to see their protraits, but everything they express is much more impirtant.

Many people said that I could do many things they could not do, but I have never believed them. I believe in their abilities, and always reply their questions, about technics that I used for art or photograph.

I saw many internet users were sitting in the same place as me, just in front of computer. Everybody has their own goals. My goals for now on this computer world are: inspire people to make artwork, spread the words about Thailand, and let people know what is the meaning of "Sw Eden".

My destinations are most people around the world know/understand my artwork and my pen name, "Sw Eden" on it, do not have to know how I look like. If I have much money, I want to buy a place in famous city to open a gallery for any artists who really want to express themselve. I want to be movie director, too, because I wrote many fictions, especially, in the action theme. For the poetry, believe me, I am a really great Thai poet, so I want to open the eyes of other Thai poets to receive every new style of Thai poems, not just the ancient styles in the old books.

Padahal, sejak kemarin pagi saya sudah niat mau merencanakan malem Jumat dan Jumat yang penuh ibadah dengan ngaji dan shalat tepat waktu berjamaah. Namun ternyata tadi malam ada panggilan telpon membicarakan masalah pekerjaan yang cukup memeras pikiran ...ngajipun terabaikan ... waduh .. tambah malu lah saya .... Salting ....

Telat bangun berdampak dengan telat berangkat kerja. Biasanya, saya mulai mengayuh sepeda pada jam 6:00, namun pagi ini baru bisa ngonthel jam 6:45 dan sampe kantor klien jam 7:45 ... Mungkin juga karena suasana sedih ini saya jadi "agak sensitif" ketika sebuah Mitsubishi Grandis mengklakson saya 2 kali tidak sabar dengan onthelan saya. Saya menolehkan muka ke pengemudi Grandis tersebut menunjukkan protes. Hemmm ... kok saya jadi sensitif ya?

Dengan memulai hari tidak baik, saya berusaha untuk tetap semangat di hari Jumat yang suci ini ....
Semoga .... Saya berharap Jumatan ini saya banyak belajar dari Khatib melalui khotbahnya ....

There are several things i need to tell you about my activity in this friday morning. Just now, after followed gymnastics we were gathered to Listened the briefing from our  head office. In the announcement he advised several things to us, the official. He told us to increase the achievment, he asked us to maintain the environment stay clean. He also told us about opportunity to get the scholarship for the official. Just try to register.

I think i agree with all what he has advised us.

More over, we got some advise from The public division head. She asked us to increase the harmony  between the official's family. She added that the office will be held some programs to support that.

The draft, leaked to media sources in Brussels at 06.48 this morning, outlines how the Commission is planning to minimise laughter, cut out jokes, and ban other practices that could be called 'fun' - in a bid to make Brussels more serious.

"There are too many smiles on the faces of seemingly happy people in Brussels," an EU source told the Brussels BULLetin.

During an exclusive interview, the source added: "Such activity reduces efficiency and makes the EU institutions look 'human'."

According to the Commission's still confidential plans, speakers at the daily midday press briefing in the Berlaymont building must brain-wash all journalists and staff present in the room.

Male speakers will undergo voice training to make sure every word from the podium is uttered at exactly the same tone and pitch as the sound of a common house fly. Female staff will be trained to speak at the tone of a mosquito, the draft dictates.

Just a recap of today's lesson.

This activity involved the class breaking up into smaller groups and roleplaying certain scenarios given. They are also asked to incorporate one character from "Hideout in Geylang" into the scene.

The roleplay starts with a freeze frame, before the actual scene is played out. The other groups/students are supposed to guess what is the scenario being depicted, while also trying to see which character from the play is being included in the scene, and which student in the group performing is playing that role.

This gives the students a chance to practice actual roleplay in preparation for their acting component, as well understand how to bring out the personality and traits of characters from the play "Hideout in Geylang".

I must say I enjoyed the acting and watching the discussions going on. Hope you had fun getting involved and watching your classmates act too. Do post your comments and any feedback on this activity (what you have learnt, any difficulties/challenges or evaluation)

The activity involved students learning stage movement through personal experience (reading of the stage movement followed by acting out the movements in a class circle). Remember that stage movement contributes to the enjoyment of a play and is an integral part. All the cast of actors need to know how to move, and bring out their characters they are playing through their movement on stage.

Please feel free to share your thoughts and feelings on the activity and remember, participation in the activities and feeling the experience is an important part of drama classes.

• Belum juga khatam menikmati BeardFish (band Swedia yang dikagumi drummer Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy), eh tadi malem (2Jul08 ) pulang agak malem, sampe rumah udah ada bungkusan agak ndemblok (berukuran rada besar - red.) ... dan setelhh dibuka berisi 1 DVD Genesis "When In Rome" (sebetulnya males beli, tapi gara2 review dan ratjoen dari Bayu Indra, gw beli juga....korban dah!) dan juga 1 CD Uriah Heep "Wake The Sleeper" ....biyuuuuuhhhh .. muantebszz.... Meski udah denger spletteran MP3 dgn 320 bit rate minggu lalu dari temen, tetep aja memiliki CD nya merupakan keharusan (ini sebetulnya pasti karena godaan syaiton yang ingin memiskinkan umat...)
• Tadi malem juga ada kiriman majalah CLASSIC ROCK terbaru dengan cover story LYNYRD SKYNYRD serta kebangkitan Southern Rock ....plus Bonus CD tentunya ... aduh biyung .. Gusti Allah nyuwun ngapuro .....keren nuansamatik kemlitik nostalgik memorablik majalah ini. Kenapa? Karena tahun 1973 dinobatkan sebagai tahun keemasan musik rock!!!! JREEEEEEEEEENG!!! Hidup jaman normal!!! Pada tahun itu gw baru tergila-gilanya bersepeda antar kota sampai ke Nganjuk lewat hutan Saradan .. sambil senandung rock 70an ... uediyaaaannn jan nuansamatik tenaaaaaannn ...!!! (lha sekarang gw juga naik sepeda, berarti hidup gw kagak ada kemajuan ye? hua ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...)

Dalam hal non-musik, minggu ini, atas rahmat dari Allah SWT gw juga diberi kesempatan tatap muka dan sekaligus berdialog serta mendengarkan kajian dzuhur bersama ustadz Herry Nurdi (pemimpin redaksi majalah Sabili). Lucu banget .. perkenalan saya dengan ustadz Herry ini justru terjadi di blog gemblunk ini. Mulanya beliau searching mengenai Richard Branson .. eh malah terdampar di sini. Akhirnya kenal, saling SMS dan JRENG bisa tatap muka ....sekaligus memulai alur silaturahim.

Rasanya minggu ini kumplitlah perjalanan duniawi dan ukhrawi bercampur aduk menjadi satu ... nikmaaadzzzzz .... Kalo dalam duniawi, pertemuannya ada yang disebut ProgRing (progressive gathering) kalo pertemuan dengan ustadz Herry ini bisa dikatakan DaProg (dakwah progresif). Gimana ndak progressive, lha wong dakwah kok suguhannya salad di i-Cafe yang berlokasi di lobi Indosat. Opo tumon? Mestinya usai dakwah, saya pasang "Brain Salad Surgery" nya ELP biar klop. Kan setelah otak saya di cuci melalui dakwah prog, perlu dibedah dengan pisau salad to? Halah! Wis jan ngawur tenan kowe tot! Hayo buruan kerja!!

Горещ софийски следобед в края на юни. Мостът до НДК се превърна в сборен пункт за голяма група хора - гей, би и хетеросексуални, които след минути ще потеглят по маршрута на първия официален прайд парад в България (не пренебрегваме шествието от преди няколко години, но тогава то официално не беше обявено като парад).

Сред дошлите имаше родители с деца, които обясниха, че искат децата им да растат нормални, затова са ги довели точно на това място, точно в този ден.

Полицията - професионална, ефективна и на мястото си. Полицаите, които охраняваха парада не позволиха нито един участник да пострада, помагаха на хора, които се спъваха или имаха някакви проблеми и арестуваха тези, които нарушаваха законите. Не знам какъв идиот трябва да си, за да хвърляш бомбички по полицаите.

Участници и журналисти. Тази седмица за пореден път българската журналистика ми направи адски лошо впечатление. Хората, които трябва безпристрастно да отразяват случващото се у нас, или пък да правят интелигентни анализи се тюхкаха, че нямало нищо интересно за снимане, какъв бил тоя парад без скандали, а един господин през цялото време обясняваше, че трябва непремено да снима целуващи се и обикаляше френетично в търсене на "подходящата"снимка.

Шествието потегля, водено от активистите на Джемини. В парада се включиха и спортен клуб "Тангра" и гости от чужди организации. На тази снимка се вижда, че участниците са доста повече от 20, както се иска на жълтата преса воглаве с "Труд".

Напред и заедно. Днес всички сме под знамето на дъгата. Доста хора имаха готини тениски със страхотни надписи.

Шествието слезе от моста и потегли към бул. Евлоги Георгиев. Отгоре наизскочиха доста от неарестуваните скинари, които в голямата си част нямаха повече от 16-17 години.

Парадът тръгна по своя път. Усещането беше страхотно - за принадлежност към една общност, която споделя твоите ценности и разбирания кое е добро и кое лошо в този свят, чувството, че се правят първите важни крачки за промяната към един по-добър свят и мисълта, че не им позволихме да ни уплашат, защото сме повече и по-силни.

Днес всички сме гей.

В уличките и градинките до булеварда се бяха скрили една част от страхливците, които могат единствено да хвърлят бомби към мирно шествие, в което крачат и деца. В близост до нас паднаха една бомбичка и коктейла молотов, чийто пушек се вижда на снимката.

Молотовката, след като я изгасиха.

Шествието зави по Гурко. Беше си доста страшничко след хвърлените бобмби, а от градинката на бившия зоопарк наизскачаха още от идиотите, които крещяха, но полицията отново се държа великолепно и не позволи да стане някоя беля точно в края. Трябва да отбележим, че участниците в парада се държаха изключително културно (което не е учудващо) и не позволиха простотията и агресията да ги провокират по никакъв начин.

Парадът завърши на улица Любен Каравелов, пред Червената къща. Разотиването беше доста притеснително, тъй като в близост се бяха струпали като лешояди изродите, но слава Богу, всички успяха да се приберат успешно.

Равносметката от първия парад е - показахме кои са нормалните, поставихме началото, а оттук насетне ни чака много работа за вършене. И нищо няма да ни спре.

Не мога да приема всичко написано, но и не мога да не се съглася с някои неща.

A story from that book.. I was about to take an AP Chem class,, it's a very hard chem class and my friends recomended me to study over the summer,, So I bought the book and one of its was this one.. I love the dummies collection.. yea.. but later I decied to take pyshics honor instead.. so,, I didn't really use this book that much.. haha.. I still read it anyway..
