Me encanta esta canción, con unos arreglos acústicos preciosos, de la cantante Taiwanesa A-Mei que debutó en la música en 1996 y tras conseguir un montón de premios ha logrado ser tratada como una auténtica diva de la escena musical del Mandarin-pop.

Was just browing on youtube on the performances of A*mei, the Taiwanese diva, also known as Zhang Hui Mei. I am so totally impressed by her showmanship and musicianship and I think I have to post this up so that I can easily watch them next time I want to. Hope that she gets to sing the theme song for the Beijing Olympic Games 2008!

En Punto Radio, en el programa el Mirador de la Liga, llevamos ya varios sábados hablando de los próximos Juegos Olímpicos de Pekín. Todavía queda mucho para la cita olímpica, pero la ciudad ya se va preparando para el evento deportivo más importante del año.

El pasado sábado (17 de febrero) comentamos algunas de las anécdotas de mi viaje, hablamos de los karaokes en Taiwán, de la preparación de los Juegos Olímpicos en Hong-Kong y contamos con la presencia del deportista Sergi Escobar (ya casi clasificado para Beijing 2008).

Ok, I admit I wasn't excited about this collection...but the packaging is SO DIFFERENT from anything MAC has done that I can recall that I'm kind of excited about it.

Adeline and I went to watch this 3-hour long concert. It was breathtaking, and thoroughly enjoyable! This is my third concert after Sun Yanzi's and Eric Claptons', also held at the same venue. I could only say this is the best of the three! Lots of well-loved classics that were rendered live, with everyone singing and clapping along, the atmosphere was ecstatic! Very very well worth it! Double thumbs up!

A-Mei is one of the few singers who is actually aboriginal Taiwanese (basically, not ethnically Han). Of course, she still sings in Mandarin, because no one really understands the Formosan languages anymore.

I actually listened to the song before I figured out the translation of the track title, so I must admit that I was a bit surprised/taken aback. This song contrasts nicely with the other slower and more softer songs on the album.
