Menos mal que vi Death Proof primero, porque hubiese quedado opacada por el vestigio de Planet, que estuvo genial. Ahora después de pensarlo un poco, ésta es la que más trasciende de las dos; de hecho pudiera ser un clásico, aunque me pareció que al final perdió mucho.
Las vi en días separados incluso, que por lo que puedo deducir según las votaciones en IMBD, le resta a la experiencia (las 2 por separado no llegan a los 8 puntos y las dos juntas como “GrindHouse” llegan incluso al top 250)
Los trailers ya los había visto back in the days, A-RRE-CHÍ-SI-MOS (menos, capaz “DON’T”) espero poder ver más de ellos algún día. Por lo que sé, “Machete” la van a hacer película y de las “Mujeres-lobo de la SS” pudiera hacerse un corto con el material que grabaron; y el pana de “Hobo with a Shotgun” tiene que aprovechar de sacar esa vaina.

En mi reencuentro con Indy en mi vejez, creo que me gustó más esta segunda parte que la primera. Igualmente mientras la veía no dejaban de pasarme ideas en cuanto a la producción y la manera en que se llevaron a cabo las cosas desde un punto de vista crítico (que ladilla con eso. De carajito las vainas que hubiera pensado eran del tipo “¿cómo los cocodrilos se lo pudieron comer tan rápido? jajaja”). todavía recuerdo la primera vez que vi la escena de la culebra en la mesa y la del dude que le sacaban el corazón, eran ¡demasiado fuertes! ya hoy no son más que un chiste.
La escena de los vagones en la mina es el significado de entretenimiento cinematográfico, un classic.

Esta vez no fue tan mágica =/ (yep esta de #17 en imdb! ganó 4 Oscars y los comentarios de usuarios son ” The Best Trilogy Made”) la película no me atrapó, imagino la culpa es en parte mía pues ultimamente no soy capaz de ver una película en una sola sentada y con las condiciones adecuadas. Creo que le pudiera dar 7,5 y todo, pero me da pena, ja!

Definitivamente Wacheneger es uno de mis actores favoritos, representando papeles ideales aquí, en Depredador y Terminator 2 (otras de mis masterpieces favoritas)
Ja, y viédola ahora pillo que esta debe ser la película favorita de cualquier metalero ever: los malos se parecen hijos de Spinal Tap y Lemmy y al final Conan tiene que acabar al imperio de los hippies comeflor. Escuela en Hog Heaven y Sabana Grande.

Bueno pues aquí estoy de nuevo para analizar una demo, en este caso se trata de la demo del simulador NBA más realista existente hasta la fecha, se trata del NBA 2K8 para PS3.

La demo ha sido descargada desde la PlayStation Store española y nos permite disputar un partido entre San Antonio Spurs y Cleveland Cavaliers, o lo que es lo mismo, poder manejar a estrellas del calibre de Manu Ginobili o LeBron James.

El partido consta de dos periodos únicamente, de cuatro minutos cada periodo, no dándonos la posibilidad de elegir quinteto, ni de elegir equipo directamente, el quinteto podemos cambiarlo en el descanso entre periodos o bien si el equipo rival pide tiempo muerto, y elegir equipo se nos da la posibilidad en el menú pause.

Gráficamente el juego está bastante bien, con unos jugadores bien modelados, una física del balón independiente al movimiento de los jugadores. En cuanto al público, por primera vez y sin que sirva de precedente por fin deja de ser un mero cartón pintado para tener formas redondeadas y, aunque hacen movimientos cíclicos, se agradece que tengan, por fin, aspecto de personas.

El aspecto sonoro está bastante bien conseguido, aunque la demo no trae comentarios, supongo que serán en inglés, aunque todos los textos están en castellano. El anteriormente mencionado público responde a nuestros estímulos como jugadores NBA apoyando o abucheando, depende del equipo que escojamos, y hace uso a la perfección del sonido envolvente.

En el aspecto jugable, el mando SixAxis toma preponderancia capital en el lanzamiento de tiros libres, ya que seremos nosotros quienes, prácticamente, haga el movimiento de tiro, y la verdad está bastante bien conseguido ya que no es el mismo movimiento que tenemos que hacer para lanzar con Drew Gooden que con Tony Parker. Por lo demás el juego es bastante jugable y su control es bastante intuitivo, no haciéndose muy difícil el manejo… aunque por ponerle una pega, para los jugadores más habituales de este juego les será demasiado fácil.

En el aspecto diversión, podemos considerar a los juegos de la saga 2K como los “pros” del basket, ya que nos garantizan horas y horas de entretenimiento en solitario y piques sanos (al menos eso esperamos desde aquí) con los colegas a ver quien mete mas canastas; Kobe o Carmelo J.

Last Sunday I bought 2K8 B-ball Zombie War, Peanut Butter Wolf’s newest mix with songs he’s produced and it’s the shit. It’s going to be the soundtrack for NBA 2K8, which is tight because i expected them to choose a more mainstream soundtrack, not an underground rap label. Peanut Butter Wolf is a hip-hop producer/DJ. He is one of the founders of Stones Throw Records, a west-coast indie rap label which has many of the important people in indie rap on their roster; MF DOOM, Madlib, J-Dilla, etc.

Ok, let me start off by saying this will not be a total fan boy review because a lot of people out there live and die by MLB: The Show for ps2 and ps3. I too, lived by MLB The Show, ever since it came out for ps2 and loved every second of it, but when I jumped systems to Xbox 360(due to price at the time) I was no longer able to represent the game because it was only for the Sony product. Which this year leads me to buying MLB 2K8. I just recently purchased my 360 around Christmas time, so buying sports games from previous years hasn’t really ever been my thing, so I just decided to wait until March 3rd to get the newest release.

I am going to admit, ever since this buyout of sports rights contracts, I think it has been bad for the most part on the gaming community. I wish there were still multiple games from different companies because it forced other game producers to be innovative. If you play sports games you know I’m talking about the Baseball and Football franchises the most. Madden only brings in few options every year as well as MLB: The Show, which makes it difficult to swallow spending 60 bucks possibly more if your buying the special editions each year, but this isn’t about originality and innovation in games, I’m just venting because I would love to see far strides taken to make the best game possible instead of the same game with flashy new logo’s and older teams/jerseys.

GAME PLAY

Let’s move on to 2k8. I bought this game because I love baseball, I have been playing all my life and enjoy watching and learning all I can about the sport. I have been bored in the past with baseball games because it’s always been the same press the buttons to pitch, bat, and field. MLB 2k8 is the game that has tried to break those boundaries this year by installing the new flick stick pitching, flick stick batting controls, and flick stick fielding. I was highly surprised by reading how it worked and skeptical about how sensitive the controls would be. I started the game and decided to play a couple of exhibition games and decided to play as the Pirates(yes they suck, but there my team), and picked the Royals to play against.

Upon starting the game the loading scenes are nice and informative providing all the usual baseball information and so on and so on with commentary that provides insight to the last season, what needs to be done to win the game and who needs to come through during the game. During the loading screen time there were some drastic Frames Per Second drops that made animations and panning of the stadium seem choppy and slow. It was purely an aesthetic fault so it won’t hurt game play for now. However it does reoccur during games, and I’ll explain later.

I will start with the pitching aspect of this game as it has been improved upon from last years game, by introducing the right analog stick control system. Ian Snell(the Pirates supposed ace pitcher), was the starter and it all went downhill from there. Right away with the new controls, I threw three meatballs(thats what they call them when they are bad pitches with the new controls) and gave up three home runs. The new pitching system has a some what high learning curve if your not used to using the right analog stick. I had prior experience with the game EA Skate and it still took awhile to figure out how to do everything smoothly. After, going down by 5 runs in the first inning I managed to get out of it with a little bit of dignity and stop the bleeding. Pitching has been changed in such a great and challenging way that it makes the MLB 2k8 franchise a refreshing simulation of baseball. I really enjoyed that when the bases are loaded or its the bottom of the ninth and your up by one, depending on how well your pitcher’s composure is, the ball target will shake and it will be harder to place a pitch where you want. Your also able to control the game more by throwing how an actual pitcher is supposed to pitch, keep it low and hope for pop-ups and ground outs, and as your pitcher gets tired he is also highly likely to give up meatballs and home runs. My only gripe with this new system is that it is incredibly sensitive at times to target where you want the pitch the ball, because depending on how shaky your hand is on the right analog stick the ball moves with it on the slightest movement. I wish it was set so that if you moved the ball to a certain selection it would stay in that spot and you could then concentrate on winding up and releasing with the new controls. But that wouldn’t be any fun or add to realism, and I completely understand why they did it.

Fielding has also been improved a significant amount compared to other games I have played. Once the ball is hit it’s up to you to move to the ball spot as usual, the added twists are pretty nice. If its a ball where your supposed to dive, the player will dive on his on and either knock it down, or it will go through. I like this because it takes away from hitting extra buttons, it just makes it as simple as it is unique. Also, another new thing added is that when a ball is hit to the outfield, if your outfielder turns his back on the ball the ball drop locater either gets smaller or dissapears depending on the outfielders vision on the ball. That’s pretty cool, and throwing with the analog stick has been a nice addition to the game, as you just point in the direction and let the power bar load up and release and the ball is on its way. The load bar is less sensitive as well as throwing to bases and it makes it another pretty nice addition. A few gripes but nothing to dramatic is sometimes you end up running into other players because even if its hit into right field the center fielder will sprint right next to you and try to make the catch. You can call him off, but its not really realistic for a center fielder to try and make a catch in right field, unless its a shot up the gap. Also, I can’t stand how its pretty easy to catch pop-ups if your not near it or the computer isn’t near it. If it’s a shot up the gap I have had instances when outfielders have super human strength and catch the ball without having to break a sweat. It reminded me of the old Madden game play that no matter what if no one was around the receiver, the ball would still get intercepted because someone would sprint and make an insane catch. I hated that, and I hate it here, it just drops realism a little bit.

Batting also has been changed, the swing stick has been introduced and works nicely. To hit the ball you must pull back to lift the foot then push forward to swing. It’s a quirky, little control, but I think it needs a little more work. Often, at the start you get the hang of it right away, but then as you change sides for different batters, the vision of the plate moves to the side and instead of being right on with the pitcher your off and it’s difficult to adjust to see where the pitch is. Add that to stepping and swinging and it turns into luck hitting, because seeing whether its going to be a ball or strike is difficult at an angle. I like the new addition, but I just don’t think its there yet.

GRAPHICS

This is where MLB 2K8 runs into a lot of trouble. Every thing is fine while pitching, batting, and fielding per say. But the in between times with cut scenes, right after the ball was hit and it changes from batters box to infield, and when the fielders throw it, the FPS drop and chug and drastically drop the appeal visually of the game. Everything happens after the fact so really theres not much trouble, but it really is disheartening that 2K sports would release a game in this state. It has been addressed by 2K as something thats a major problem, and is being worked on for an upcoming patch. The bad news about that, if you don’t have an XBOX live Gold Membership, your not getting the patch. That’s a huge let down to spend money and have to pay more money to fix corrections. But all in all if you can live with slowdown you’ll be fine, as it doesn’t affect game play, only after the actions have been taken. Aside from the slow down, the game is beautiful and crisp, from the blades of grass to the players. Only thing thats still clunky are the fans. Were in next gen phase, do they still have to look like boxes put together?

SOUND

Sound is decent, it’s crisp and clear again, they have everything down pat with how a baseball sounds with the exception of quiet umpires and player chatter. You can hear the vendors and fans, but I just miss hearing the umpire yell an over down YOUR OUT! or STRIKE THREE! I think that takes away from realism as much as the next thing. But, you can certainly live and enjoy it without all of that.

EXTRAS

With all of the new stuff added it’s more of the same with modes, rosters, and the usual. Another major problem that has come up is that if your a Padre’s fan, get used to a buggy franchise because thats apparently the only team that has a problem. You can’t send players up/down from majors to minors, in franchise mode, also a problem that is getting patched so hold tight if you have Live. Help is on the way.

Overall

I enjoy this game, I own this game, and I am proud to say I like this game. I do not care for the slow down and anxiously awaiting the patch to correct this problem. I think the controls are new and innovative, as well as adding re playability to a game that was once sore and boring to me. If your an avid baseball fan and can’t live without up to date rosters, graphics, and all that jazz then pick it up. If your on the fence about trading in an older baseball game that you love, just keep it, and wait till next year, or until it’s patched. Once the game is patched, it’s an awesome simulation to baseball and will certainly give MLB: The Show a run for its money. The only thing that seriously worries me is that if EA buys 2K Sports, I hope they learn something from this game and advance it to where it should be. I don’t want another cheap knockoff every year with the same controls, graphics and everything. This game right now even in a buggy state, reigns supreme in my mind, and hope I EA takes care of things and advances the baseball genre and football genre further than before.

Masa thursday night tue.. kami nie duduk2 liat AI (American Idol).. den kami nie mcm cerita2.. dah liat kami 5 org ada d rumah la.. den kami umumkan ‘Hari cuti sedunia’ hari jummat sbb semua org nada clas.. and planned kan liat wayang and stuffs… kali found out c niedz ada meeting hari jummat..paksa tukar plan.. but we didnt go anywhere ke city hari jummat tue.. aku sama c ari saja bejln..membali ayam untuk c Jannah masak.. she cooked lunch for us! whoa..nyaman nyamu.. mcm makan arah org kawin.. :p It was ayam masak rendang and nasi minyak (nasi kuning!) kejarangan banar tue nyamuu

Wasnt expected basar wa kek atu.. bnrnya plan kan half dua and buat 2 layers..kali dah liat ia tabal dh..nda tah ku mau spoil kan..ge pun ku tau ramai org kan datang masa tu..so ok la.. aku tu kan sampai kan hajat ku jua buat cheese cake tu becuz ada one time ia gtau ia suka berabis cheese cake..so sekali sekala la.. buat fav nya..

My favorite improv prank troupe causes a scene yet again with their annual pantsless subway ride.  I originally fell in love with Improv Everywhere with their Frozen Grand Central video in which 207 actors froze in place in Grand Central at the exact same moment.  On Saturday January 12^th 2008, nearly 2,000 people took their pants off in 10 cities around the world including NYC.  Being that this was January, let’s just say it was a bit chilly.  For more video on the event, click here.

This Year in Lumps
[2007]

· Now that the celebratory dust has settled on the holiday season, the empties have been taken out, the thousands of cold vol au vents and mini sausages have finally been eaten, and you’ve put away the overly repulsive wrapping paper and stick-on bows for another year: it’s time to reflect on 2007; what happened, what went on, and what was made of it. To keep with the trend of the past 30 weeks of entries, this weeks will be a ‘lump summary’ mainly focused on films, video games, television, tech news and reviews. It may also include the odd major news story, sporting event or celebrity incident, however as I prefer to keep those to a minimum, I suggest to those of you who are looking for an entry full of C-list rumours, failed re-marriages and sluts with no underwear, that you may be better scurrying off to read Heat magazine, or some other dull publication that bases its stories on how much of a celeb-obsessed circle jerk it may start.

Start the year the way you mean to go on, I say.

· January started with terrible weather hitting the UK, in which 11 people died, This Life returned to our TV’s with +10, getting 3.4 million views (although not impressing any of them), and leaving our screens this month was BBC flagship sporting show Grandstand which came to a halt after 48 years. The cinemas were quiet with no big named film released to catch anyones’ attention, unless you count Epic Movie which we wont because it was dire, we said goodbye to Magnus Magnusson, and people turned into thieving scavengers when some rather random items wound up on a beach. Oh, and there were a few stupid racists in this years Celebrity Big Brother, but if I start talking about that we run the risk of having a three hour debate on if she was really being racist or not. So, moving on to…

· February, which was a good one for Helen Mirren, as she won Best Actress at the BAFTAs, and also a good one for Ennio Morricone (who is, in my humble opinion, the best music score director and composer ever), as he picked up a Honorary Award for Career Achievement. Bad weather was still around and refusing to go away, M. Night Shyamalan won Worst Director and Worst Supporting Actor in the Golden Raspberry Awards, TV phone scandals were starting to be uprooted, with Richard and Judy being one of the biggest culprits, as well as lies from Blue Peter, and the ever growing amount of late-night quiz channels, which only seems to broadcast to insomniacs, students and the drunk (some people I know could possibly fit in all three of those demographics).

· The BBC’s Alan Johnston was kidnapped in March; he was the only foreign reporter from a major media organisation based in Gaza at the time. This was sadly overshadowed in the news, as the soon-to-be-out-of-a-job Tony Blair wasn’t “bovvered”, as seen on Comic Relief. Castaway was restarted, this time to the chagrin of a much thinner audience, due to strange TV timeslots, and, well, a crap format. In summary, the guy everyone hated, and shunned won it, and Joe Public didn’t bat an eyelid. The Apprentice was a much bigger hit, with sultry bedhopper Katie tried to seduce and weasel her way to a new job, which Sir Alan seeing through it because she couldn’t move home. The job eventually went to pencil-necked suck up Simon. The better news was that the last two winners of the position within Sir Alan’s company had both left their million pound jobs and gone elsewhere. Finally, probably most dramatic headline of the month was the capture at gunpoint of 15 British Royal Navy personnel. Impressive as that may sound, the actual story was far from it, as under a fortnight later they returned home, without a scratch on them, and went on to sell their stories to the media for a stupid amount, considering nothing happened really.

· Something did had in April, though. In fact lots of things, including earthquakes in Kent, the discovery of Kryptonite, Richard Gere tried pulling Shilpa Shetty, and Keith Richards snorted the ashes of his late father during a drugs binge, apparently. No wait, he actually did, Have I Got News for You started to produce a semi decent video podcast featuring unbroadcast material, crooning Scottish duo The Proclaimers somehow managed to score 3 weeks at the top of the singles chart with the unofficial Comic Relief single, “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” with Brian Potter and Andy Pipkin, selling over 200,000 copiesso far, and Grindhouse was released in the US and went on to achieve big success. It featured two films - Planet Terror and Death proof, directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino respectively.

· May was just as eventful, with the arrival of TWiL later in the month, the beginning saw The Simpsons reaches its landmark 400th episode, The man who married a goat last year because he was caught having sex with it was saddened by its death, Spider Man 3 arrived, as did another Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek the 3rd, and Oceans 13… just a handful of the many rehashes, sequels, prequels and spin offs we had to endure, The UK didn’t come last in the Eurovision song contest (2nd to last, I think you’ll find), Poo in Curry was not a big hit, The Beeb broadcasts “Scientology and Me” a Panorama investigation into Scientology by journalist John Sweeney. You may have seen this as the guy was being as loud as he possibly could barely inches from some idiots face. Fantastic.

So yes, the end of May is when the first lump appeared (that sounds a bit too personal, doesnt it? I assure you I’m talking about this website), and I started things off by talking about Facebook applications, drinking at work, and how dangerous blogging can be to your job status.

· June, and the start of the summer we never had. There were some failed Terrorists attacks in my home town of Glasgow, It was to be the end of life at Number 10 for Tony Blair, as he stepped down as Prime Minister and was succeeded by Gordon Brown, The Queen awards Sir Tim Berners-Lee the Order of Merit for his pioneering work on the world wide web, A Harry Potter themed amusement park was planned, Last.fm was purchased by CBS, Microsoft revealed plans for Surface, which caused Alex and Kevin to have a bit of a drunken disagreement on the 100th episode of Diggnation, the London Olympic Logo was panned nationwide for being a waste of time and money, some mad German tried to jump on the Pope, Bernard Manning died, Kevin Spacey retired from films, Rupert Murdoch wanted to sell Myspace to Yahoo (which he later decided against) and Billy Corgan started bleeding his fans dry.

· July saw England finally catch up to Scotland and Wales with a nationwide smoking ban, not that anyone noticed because most of the country was under water, Alan Johnsons’ terrible ordeal finally ended when he was released, The BBC were in hot water again, this time a “Royal scandal” when it was wrongly implied that the Queen had walked out of a photo session in a TV documentary, I slated the Transformers film, JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series of books for children and adults who struggle with big words were completed, Heroes started showing on BBC2 much to my delight, and it went on to be one of the steals of the year for the Beeb, while I go all weak at the knees whenever Eden McCain comes on the screen, meanwhile Ricky Gervais was making a complete tit of himself at the Concert for Diana tribute concert, which he would make up for through the class of Extras, especially the big rant towards the end of the Christmas Special, The Live Earth concert also raised some eyebrows as well as questions, mainly “Why?” and “How much is this useless event costing us?”

· Watch out for gorillas in August, especially those fronting Cadbury’s adverts. If you haven’t seen it then you obviously don’t watch any television at all, therefore you’re supremely blessed; the fallout of which saw ‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins re-enter the charts at #17. A road bridge collapsed in Mississippi, The world went Bioshock mad, a horribly scary shoot-em-up (which wasn’t that scary honestly) which later in 2007 would rightfully win game of the year. Even typing this I’m tempted to go start another session. Meanwhile, Sir Elton wants the Internet shut down, Tony Wilson passed away, and Tribe made it’s way back to our TV screens for its last series.

· September saw parts of the UK hit by tornado’s, we all said goodbye to Pavarotti, and Marcel Marceau, and hello to the iPhone, the latest attempt from Apple to steal all of our hard earned money, and it proved to work. Not contempt with just taking over the mobile industry, Apple then went back and released new models of all the iPod range, causing even more money to disappear from our collective wallets. The Foo Fighters got mixed reviews for their latest album, Jeremy Kyle was accused of having a TV show the equivalent of bear baiting, Mickey from Supergrass broke his back, the word shirt-lifter came back into peoples’ vocabulary after a lengthy absence no thanks to homophobic Jim Davidson, a comedian so unfunny he makes Bernard Manning look like Lenny Bruce.

· October was a good month for chicken freedom in Scotland, but not such a good month for Heather Mills, Channel 4 celebrated 25 years of life, Terry Wogan appeared to be hung like a donkey, Radiohead told us to name a price for their latest album, after cutting out the middle man and sending everything to us via the web, Diggnation came to the UK to a huge success, Everyone started to question if Facebook was actually on our side or not, McKellen is gagging to be Gandalf again, Charley and Ewan and the Long Way Down team picked up where LWR left off, the digital switchover began, the 82 year-old woman who married the 24 year-old man died, OiNK bit the dust, Dumbledore is a big fat gay, and pudgy squirrels were making the news.

· Before you could say “The Mighty Boosh is back“, November was upon us, where BBC news had it’s 10th Birthday, Friends Reunited became free, but still no-one uses it, toads are really slutty, The Peter Kay backlash began, Parkinson called it a night with some friends (I stopped watching after David Attenborough, and apparently I didn’t miss much at all), and everyone made a fuss about the ‘is’ being removed from Facebook status update, and no sooner had the two letters been removed, did groups start appearing for it to be put back. Madness.

· The main Christmas talking point for December turned out to be whether you’d get a Wii or an Xbox, or If you’d buy Guitar Hero or wait for Rock Band. Led Zeppelin performed together for the first time in 19 years, Peter Jackson will be involved in The Hobbit, Heston Blumenthal, the man behind bacon and egg ice cream, made the best Christmas dinner you’re ever likely to see, Microsoft purchased Multimap, w00t is the word of the year, a man spent 4 days trapped in a toilet, Netscape Navigator has had its day, The Times Square NYE ball is green, and Christina Aguilera put everyone off their Christmas dinner.

So there you have it, that was the year in lumps, a year in which: a man dressed as a tree robbed a bank, a really big man met a really small man, seagulls in Aberdeenshire like Doritos, The UK now has a channel called Dave, and a Woman ran over her own legs at McDonald’s drive-thru.

Well, in the words of the great Robert Scott: “It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more.” On a final note, If you haven’t already seen it, I strongly recommend Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe, and the review for 2007. Financial Goals
First, it should be noted that my CC debt will be back to zero by Friday (after all my transfers clear), so that is no longer a goal. It will be accomplished right away, and then the rest of my financial goals will build from that.

• Fully fund a 2008 Roth IRA ($5,000): I have opened up an account with Charles Schwab (though, I’m still researching and may change this for my 2008 Roth and keep them for a 2007, MAYBE….) and plan to put in $400/month towards retirement. This is a major shift from 2007, in which I put all my spare money to my savings account.
• Build savings back up to $8,000: Post-the CC payment, I’ll have to fund my account again. I plan on putting at least $150/month into savings (aside from the Roth), but will put in any ‘extra’ money towards saving, as well.
• Stay within my budget. Live and learn to be more frugal. Less Target! (Target is my budget’s kryptonite!)

Health/Wellness Goals

• Run a 5K.
• Continue to workout as often as I can (3-5 times/week).
• Work towards eating more natural, fresh foods (I’m pretty good about that already, but there is always room for improvement).

(That was short and sweet. It seems that I am happy, enough, with where I am to continue down this path.)

Personal Goals

• Take a photo each and every day, no matter what.
• Push my boundaries more and open up more than I am comfortable with, within reason. I’m very selfish, still, and it is something that I need to work on.
• Take time for myself, even if it is sitting in the hot tub after running at the gym. Do the little things to make me feel better.
• Read 52 books (this is a goal I make every year, however this year, I’d like it to be about 80% “non-fluff” this year, as opposed to the usual mix of 50/50 or even 60/40 in favor of the fluff).
• Become more engaged in and aware of the world in which we live.

I think that that is all. It seems like, at least, it’s a good starting point for where I want to be.

Liko jau visai nedaug. Spalio 2d. 2K Sports išleidžia 2008 metų NBA žaidimą. Taigi laukti liko truputį daugiau nei savaitė. Tikiuosi bus įdomesnis sezono rėžimas su daugiau galimybių ir labiausiai tikiuosi, kad bus įdomiai padarytas All-Star Weekand. Šiandien nuėjau į BlackCats ir matau NBA ‘08 The Life Vol. 3. Hmmm.. Įdomu ar tai naujas EA Sports kūrinys skirtas būtent PlayStation fanams ar tiesiog kažkoks nesusipratimas. Kaip yra sužinosiu manau rytoj, kai įsirašysiu žaidimą į diską ir išbandysiu. Reikia tikėtis, kad nebus bereikalingas disko gadinimas

I like the combination of the God and the G.O.A.T. What this will do for 2K8’s sales? I have no idea. I rarely play video games anymore but in my day I was a Madden guy. There was a time in the late 90s when I experimented with NFL Gameday, and I played one of the 2Ks for an evening, but Madden was still the one.

I don’t play video games anymore because I suddenly became a cool adult. No more days of sitting around for hours on end playing video games with friends or strangers online. Nope, now I hang out for hours on end in the cool confines of my parents basement, wearing only my underwear, typing about sports or the latest video game commercial. I’m all grown up now.
