One of the major changes in the latest 3.0 patch was the different talent tree. Lots of new skills got added and some already existing ones were (slightly) altered. In my opinion 99% of those changes were absolutely awesome and great for every Protection Warrior :-)! I now wanna show you the changes in more detail.

+++ ARMS-TREE +++

• Deflection (5/5): no changes.

+++ FURY-TREE +++

• Armored to the Teeth (0/3): this skill didn’t exist at all and increases your attack power by 3 for every 180 armor you’ve got (at maximum).

+++ PROTECTION-TREE  +++

• Shield Specialization (5/5): pretty much the same as in 2.4.3 but you now get 2 rage points instead of 1 for every block.

• Improved Thunder Clap (3/3): this skill has been in the Arms-Tree before and increased the damage by 100% instead of now 30%.

• Anticipation (5/5): now it increases your chance to dodge by 5% instead of increasing your defense skill by 20.

• Last Stand (1/1): no changes.

• Improved Revenge (2/2): now it increases the damage of your Revenge skill by 20% (before: no increase at all), gives you a 50% chance to stun your target (before: 45%) and only has 2 skill points at maximum instead of 3.

• Shield Mastery (2/2): before you could spend 3 skill points on this skill and had no reduction of your Shield Block ability at all.

• Toughness (5/5): now this skill additionally reduces the duration of all movement slowing effects by 30%.

• Puncture (3/3): this is the exact same skill as Improved Sunder Armor, just with a different name.

• Improved Spell Reflection (2/2): this one reduces the chances of you being hit by spells by 4% and once you use this skill, it will reflect the first spell cast against your 4 closest party memebers.

• Concussion Blow (1/1): this skill now deals 426 damage (based on your attack power) as well.

• Gag Order (2/2): this is similar to the old Improved Shield Bash skill but also increases the damage of your Shield Slam ability by 10% as well as counts for your Heroic Throw ability.

• One-Handded Weapon Specialization (5/5): no changes.

• Improved Defensive Stance (2/2): before you could spend 3 skill points here and now you even have a 100% chance to become Enraged (increasing your melee damage by 10% for 12 secs.) when you successfully block, parry or dodge.

• Vigilance (1/1): this is completely new and reduces the damage taken of your group or raid by 3% as well as transfers 10% of their threat to you. Furthermore your Taunt cooldown refreashes every time one of them gets hit. Lasts for 30 mins. and can only be used on one target at a time.

• Focused Rage (3/3): no changes.

• Vitality (3/3): no you only have to spend 3 instead of 5 points into that skill. Furthermore your Strength and Stamina increases by 6% (before: Stamina = 5%, Strength = 10%) while you also get 6 Expertise points.

• Devastate (1/1): more or less the same but now you only add 24 damage for each Sunder Armor application instead of 35.

• Warbringer (1/1): completely new skill. This one lets you use your Charge ability in defense stance as well, giving you a great opening-move.

• Critical Block (3/3): completely new skill. Here your successful blocks have a 30% chance to block double the normal amount while increasing your chance to critically hit with your Shield Slam ability by an additional 15%.

• Sword and Board (3/3): completely new skill. Increases the critical strike chance of your Devastate ability by 15% and when you Devastate or Revenge ability deals damage, it has a 30% chance of refreshing the cooldown of your Shield Slam ability and reducing its cost by 100% for 5 sec.

• Damage Shield (2/2): completely new skill. Whenever you take damage from or block a melee attack you cause damage equal to 20% of your block value.

• Shockwave (1/1): completely new skill. Sends a wave of force in front of the warrior, causing 449 damage (based on attack power) and stunning all enemy targets within 10 yards in a frontal cone for 4 sec.

Since I was 12 I had been hunting with a used Marlin 30-30 that my brother so graciously purchased for me one summer day as a surprise. It has served me VERY well. It is a great “deer gun”. It takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.

Through the years though, I have slowly desired more opportunities to hunt and sharpen my shooting skill. I guess I really developed a love of long range shooting in the Marine Corps. There we had the M-16 with iron sights and were made to qualify out to the 500 yd line. While most sweated qualifying, I looked forward to it with a smile. I honestly couldn’t wait to get the opportunity to be out on the range again.

Since then, I haven’t had as much opportunity, and that goes with getting rusty. About a year and a half ago, I got to talking with some co-workers about groundhog hunting, coyote hunting and long range shooting. I started to reminisce about the days on the Marine Corps rifle range. I decided it was time to buy myself a more all-purpose rifle…..to be continued

PS3 Firmware update 2.43 is now available. But users in the US do not need to download. It is only Japan specific. You can download it mannually but it does not cause any issues or add any new functionality.

HCM CITY — Ho Chi Minh City Investigation Police arrested up to eight gang members who allegedly stole 243 Samsung televisions from container truck.

The contents of the stolen container was valued at VND 1.5 billion (US$93,750).

According to police, Huynh Quoc Vinh, the alleged mastermind of the crime, used a fake personal ID and driving license to get a job as a driver for the Minh Phuong Company in district 2.

On August 15, Vinh and a colleague named Thao were dispatched to a Samsung warehouse in the Linh Trung Export Processing Zone in Thu Duc District.

Vinh was to then transport the goods to Cat Lai Port in District 2 for export to Africa.

After deceiving Thao at the Mien Dong Bus Station, he drove the container truck to Highway 13 to meet his accomplices and conceal 60 TVs to sell, he confessed.

Because the goods were in bulk, the gang decided to divide them into smaller packages for retail trading in different locations.

After unloading the container, Vinh offered to sell the truck for VND120 million ($7,500), but to no avail as no one was willing to buy a truck of unknown origins.

He gave Nguyen Van Sang 70 TVs to hide and sell in Tam Phu Ward, Thu Duc District. Sang then got Mai Van Nong to sell them.

The contraband was sold for VND2.5 million ($156) to VND3.5 million ($219) each.

Nong was arrested at an electronics shop in District 1 trying to sell the TVs.

Based on Nong’s deposition, police arrested 7 others, including Vinh and Sang. —
