Dolla calls in to Power 98.3 to explain the fight between him and 2 Pistols.

As Dolla says it, he was supposed to get “She Got It” instead of 2 Pistols, but he didn’t want it. 2 Pistols found that to be false and claimed Dolla had no street cred. Well, the two were at the media room for the BET awards on Monday (June 23) where it would all come to a head. So Dolla approached 2 Pistols and asked him about some greezy-talk on the internet. Dolla didn’t like his answer so he gave him the beats. Dolla says it wasn’t much of a fight as he only hit Pistols with a “standard right hook.” That hook sent 2 Pistols to the hospital with reports of him getting stitches and some say he broke his jaw.

Ah, well. Tough break. With a name like 2 Pistols, he probably should have had a gun on him or something. Shout out to Konvict.

I mean if the title offends you, just name some of their other songs in your ipod….ok I win…

A dispute that reportedly began earlier this month over 2 Pistols‘ T-Pain-assisted single “Got It” erupted into violence at the pre-party for the BET Awards this afternoon.

Recently, Jive/Konvict Muzik artist Dolla told Detroit radio that he had turned down the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced single before it was offered to the Universal Records recording artist. Dolla reportedly added that if he were to have used the track, he was not going the “girl route,” a slight at what the Florida rapper did with the subsequent hit from his Death Before Dishonor album.

At the Shrine Auditorium today in Los Angeles, the comments stirred into an altercation when Dolla quietly approached 2 Pistols to discuss the matter at a preliminary event for this evening’s BET Awards. The discussion quickly grew confusing as one eyewitness told HipHopDX that 2 Pistols made a move before being struck by a blow from Dolla. 2 Pistols hit the ground, reportedly with a bloodied face, only to have the scuffle broken up by nearby entourage. Dolla was later removed from the area by his own entourage. 

 As the hip-hop industry descends on Los Angeles for the 2008 BET Awards, rappers from all over have made their way around the city, hitting parties and media covered events.

When rivals are in the same space, sometimes conflict arises, and did so during a media day event held at the Shrine Auditorium on Monday (June 23) a day before the ceremony.

According to reports from the artist’s camp, Akon’s 20-year-old artist, Dolla, got into a minor scuffle with Florida rapper 2 Pistols, which resulted in 2 Pistols — who has been enjoying success with his hit single “She Got It” featuring T-Pain — being knocked out.

Dolla’s camp confirmed with BallerStatus.com that an altercation took place after he heard about recent public statements made by 2 Pistols claiming Dolla had “no street credibility and isn’t really a rap artist from the streets.”

These words stuck with Dolla. When he ran into 2 Pistols during Monday’s media event, Dolla claims he confronted the rapper, which escalated into a scuffle, resulting in 2 Pistols being knocked out by “a single jab,” his camp claims.

2 Pistols tells a very different story. He claims the argument was over his hit single, “She Got It” featuring T-Pain, which Dolla allegedly felt was supposed to go to him first. The Florida rapper claims the argument ended, he walked away, and then was sucker-punched. When he tried to strike back (grabbing a chair in the process), he says cops grabbed him, and Dolla and his entourage fled in the vehicles.

The “She Got It” rapper says he’s got a cut on his lip, but is fine.

Dolla’s camp says a YouTube video of the incident will be upped to the internet Tuesday (June 24).
