Every year, Heidi Klum and hubby Seal celebrate Halloween with an over-the-top soiree in Los Angeles, where they live.

Well… this year the power couple decided to give New Yorkers a piece of their pie!

When we say this was one of the best parties of the year, it’s no joke! The club was totally decorated. The costumes were incredible. The drinks were free. The people were hot. What more could you want?

Heidi and Seal weren’t the only celebrities there either!

Your favorite blogger sat down with Pink for a while and told her about MicahJesse.com, how we always stay positive (which she loved, by the way, saying “Damn! We need more of them like you!”), and told her how her music has helped us get through some of the hardest of times.

She was soooo genuine and sweet!

it’s halloween now, and i still haven’t decided for sure what it is i’m going to do. i think i may have to miss out on the parade this year though.

i definitely want to see MGMT (you know how much MG and i love them!) but i don’t know if i’m going to head to brooklyn or just go see them at Southside (yes i made the call). it might actually be easier for me to skip Southside all together, but we’ll see. from there, i definitely plan to make it to Lucky Strike and Rose Bar for parts of the night- Rose Bar in particular, becuase it wasn’t as easy as we originally thought to get invited to that. then, Heidi Klum and Seal are having their annual party at 1Oak, which would be awesome to go to. i do have a way in as a plus 1, but i was at 1Oak last night, and i don’t know for sure…

we’ll see how the night plays out, and i’ll be sure to let you know.

Why does EVERYONE insist on throwing their parties on the same day? I mean there is literally NOTHING to attend tomorrow.  Really?

And WHY are they spread out all over town.  Don’t people know how IMPOSSIBLE it is to get a cab on Halloween?

Today must be Lydia Hearst day as that is who everyone is talking about.  I feel like everyone I know is friends with Lydia.  Why am I not friends with Lydia? WTFITA?

Anywho, since I am not friends with Lydia I have not been invited to her two fabulously awesome parties tonight.  The first is her masquerade ball at 1OAK and the second is the after-party at the Eldridge.

Sigh. They sound like fun.  I’m sure everyone I know will be bragging about it tomorrow and there will be pictures up so I will let you know what went down.

Halloween in Manhattan is either a blast or a nightmare. The Village Voice Parade down Sixth Avenue is great if you’re actually in it and a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS if you live anywhere on the route.

There seem to be more naked girls running the streets than usual, there are HUGE lines outside of EVERY SINGLE BAR AND CLUB and there are tons of guys who are beyond excited they stopped playing video games to come outside and check out the scene.

I was on my favorite two costume websites and I was trying to figure out what to be.  I couldn’t repeat any of my costumes which have included:

And before you judge me, yes I am one of those girls who run around half-naked on Halloween.  I NEVER dress skankalicious so I think I can take one day out of the year and do so.  Also I’ve never been a “lingerie/swimsuit model” because that is just trashy.  And stupid.  I also don’t drink a lot on Halloween (since I’m so naked) and bring a much longer dress in my purse to throw on when I go home (which are two rules every girl should follow).

In an upcoming post I’ll let you know what parties are happening and what the good bets will be.  Halloween is on a Friday this year so Ella, Southside and 1OAK will all be good options.  Also Capitale’s party is supposed to be sick this year. We shall see.

The Observer recently posted an email sent to them by the peeps over at 1OAK advertising their ability to host private parties. This is what The Transom had to say:

“MAKE ANY OCCASION ONE OF A KIND,” the e-mail began in all caps. It proceeded to list all the various occasions that we might want to celebrate there: private parties, holidays, events, launches, affairs, releases, premieres, galas, fetes, celebrations, receptions, benefits, anniversaries, socials, formals, fund-raisers. (Did someone look up “party” in the thesaurus?)

It doesn’t really make the club sound like the ultra-exclusive place that a “gossip-column interloper” (present company, we presume, included) or a “Wall Street master” would not be able to penetrate.

OBVIOUSLY they are catering to the business crowd who may want to hold their holiday parties there.  And it will allow otherwise banned people to say they attended a private party at 1OAK and can feel cooler than their bros back home. Scott and Richie are sweet.  They want everyone to feel important, even though some people have to pay for that feeling.  Ha!

And the Village Voice agrees with me.  He won the award for best nightlife blog.

Steve has his picks up for the best party for each night on his blog.  Included are Ella, 1OAK, The Eldridge, Antik, Beatrice and others that I always talk about.

What can I say? The man is Manhattan nightlife.

After the jump you will get the funny anecdote I will be telling for months, but I will give you the background info first.

Friday night was a busy night.  I went to La Esquina, I went to Southside and the I hopped in a cab and headed to 1OAK. Now I don’t go there that often because the door is kind of tough.  Bin used to let me in at Butter all the time way back when, but I felt like 1OAK was hit or miss.

But when you’re friends with Steve Lewis, you don’t seem to have these problems anymore. I was introduced to Sherry Cosovic, who RUNS things over at 1OAK, she has a walkie-talkie people, reintroduced to Bin and I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva.

Let me say it again if I haven’t said it before: 1OAK is BEAUTIFUL.  It really is a stunning space.  From the gold letters on the walls to the passages in cursive the can be found around the venue, every thing is gorgeous.  The sound system is a bit off and will definitly land the boys in hot water with the community board sometime down the line, but all in all a very pleasurable place.

And this place is constantly PACKED.  And I mean shoulder to shoulder packed.  But since the door is so tight and everyone is so attractive, do you really mind? I think not.

But my favorite moment happened around 3am.  Richie was coming out of the back door and two girls went running in.  Of course Bin and security went after them and put them right out on the sidewalk. Richie said he liked their style and the girls were pretty cute so he went over to invite them into the club.  He tried talking to one of them and she was all pssshhh I don’t need you. When he told her he was the owner of course she felt like an idiot.

I went over and gave her a little lesson in nightlife and in life in general: be nice to everyone. Not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because you never know who you’re talking to.  She went over and apologized and Richie let her and her friend into the club.  That was sweet of him and he is officially the second nicest club owner I know.  Anthony is obviously the first.

So it’s pretty safe to say I will be spending the wee hours of my night at 1OAK. It’s a good time and unlike this other place in the nighborhood, it’s beautiful.

This is because Anthony Martignetti thinks I’m cute. I walked up to Southside and there was a huge crowd outside. I’m looking around for a familiar face and I don’t see one.  Ugh.  This is going to be a pain in the neck.

The door opens and Anthony Martingnetti (owner of Southside with James Willis) himself walks out and tells Q, the bouncer, she can come in, I’m like who me? Yes! I didn’t know who he was when he came out, which kept me from babbling like an idiot.  But luckily I didn’t tell him I “didn’t need him” (wait until you hear the story from 1OAK). It’s always a plus when the owner thinks you’re hot.

I walk downstairs and I like what I see.  There were no surprises because Rachelle had already given the 411 on the place but I agree it is very reminiscent of Bungalow 8.  Palms trees, black and white and lots of room for dancing. The music is very loud, the crowd is very saucy, and there is this one bartender who is so hot I couldn’t remember my drink order while I was looking at him.  Most of my money going into his tip jar in the near future.

There are tons of secret hideaway spots so plenty of late night debauchery will be happening. I can already see the drama that will be brewing.

A great thing about Southside is Nick Cohen is set to DJ there on Wednesday nights.  So I know all of my favorite music will be played. I can head to La Esquina to start my night, then go around the corner to Southside to finish it up right.

Downtown is doing pretty good with the new spaces.  I can’t wait to check out Chloe this week.

Nat “DJ Morse Code” Morse, straight out of Los Angeles, is always a guest of the house, a DJ for the DJs and an all around swell kinda guy. As part of DJ AM’s artist group Deckstar, which houses such international DJ’s as Jazzy Jeff, Steve Aoki, Stretch Armstrong & The Alchemist, Morse Code has been rocking some major nights around the country.

Beyond the club nights, Nat has been a record collector and producer, who’s garnered some attention for his Fusion Batches series, a mix of rare funk and jazz records. The first one was “one of the best mixes I’ve heard, ever” according to Jazzy Jeff. The second Fusion Batches should be available early October, but we’ll tide you over with a few rare choice cuts of the month. And if you’re asking why it’s only 5 joints, well, these records are expensive and he spent time finding them. Cool? Cool.

OHkay, here’s the deal: so like, remember how those waitresses got fired from 1Oak? And like, they were Asian? And like, they claimed they were discriminated against, and got hit on? And remember how JE (aka John “JE” Englebert) put out a whole press release saying how upset this made him, because, like, he loved and fed and petted and took care of his waitstaff (I promise!)? And then he like, offered to hire the Asian girls so they wouldn’t have to worry about, like, making a living?
Well, turns out he might be kinduv, sort of a hypocrite. Ironically, it turns out that one of the pink-slipped girls worked at Suzy Wong’s before going over to 1Oak, and that she left because the club wasn’t giving them their tip outs, using the old we’ll-take-your-tips-for-the-night-and-give-you-a-check-later routine (commonly known as ’screwing the help’).
In light of this, we are just dying to know if any of the girls has taken up JE (aka John “JE” Englebert) on his offer. So, like, text us, ok?

We stepped out to celebrate our homeboy Indashio’s new show Glam God on VH1, hosted by Vivica A. Fox at the members-only spot Norwood in New York City.

Norwood’s owner graciously gave the cast the screening room for the evening.

After the premiere, we all headed over to hotspot 1Oak to celebrate the first episode!

On Tuesday night, our good friend and author of “How The Other Half Hamptons,” Jasmin Rosemberg (in the orange dress - below), celebrated the launch of her book at Chelsea hotspot 1Oak with friends, family, socialites, publicists, photographers, and all around beautiful people.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Jasmin’s literary agent Paula Balzer who was in attendance at the beginning of the event, who also reps Oscar-winner Diablo Cody. Clearly, she knows what she’s doing!

DJ Jesse Marco was on the turn tables keeping it H-O-T for Jasmin all night. In the last week, Jesse has DJ’ed a party for fellow blogger Perez Hilton in Canada and a party for Tom Ford in Milan!

We ran into so many familiar faces at Jasmin’s book launch (sorry if we forget to mention you!): Shadow Public Relations’ Lisette Sand-Friedman, Brad Zeifman, Ali Valenti, and Alexandra Lasky. the man behind Moet, James Goll. Last night, our lovely friend Adis Gutic took us and some of our friends out to celebrate life at downtown celebrity hotspot restaurant/lounge Cipriani on West Broadway.

What a night!

We started off upstairs in the lounge with appetizers (calamari, fresh mozzarella and tomato, and prosciutto) which was delicious and we drank never-ending bottles of Veuve Cliquot — our favorite champagne! Then a small plate of penne pasta that was better than any pasta we’ve ever tasted. Simply delish.

Beat that!

Last night was our good friend Ashley’s birthday. We started at her apartment sipping on delicious Prosecco.

We’ve been feeling a little under the weather this week, so we had our chloraseptic spray with us just in case!

Then we headed to Bobo in the West Village for dinner.

This is one of the finest eateries in Manhattan. The food was delicious!

We got the mushroom risotto appetizer which was to die for!

After dinner, we stopped by Suzie Wong, 1Oak, and our favorite late-night eatery/scene-ery Cafeteria before calling it a night.

Yours truly, MICAH JESSE, was breakin’ it down at Meatpacking District hotspot Tenjune on Saturday night.

We were at Rob Iler’s table (you know, from The Soprano’s) and also John Legend.

Didn’t John anywhere, but it was supposed to be his table!

Oh well, we had a blast dancing with our friends.

Last night was WILD!!!

We started our night at GoldBar, which was cute but chill.

We then headed over to our favorite celeb hotspot 1OAK - where - yup, you guessed it - we spotted a bunch of celebrities!

We actually sat at Aubrey O’Day’s (of Danity Kane) table all night.

Aubrey at one point called me over and said, “Go tell the DJ to put on Danity Kane!” I said, “OK, but only for you!” jokingly.

Minutes later, the DJ put on Danity Kane’s new song “Damaged” – and you better believe we had a dance off with Aubrey as she half-lip-synched-half-sang to the song at the table!

After her song played, she left with her crew, and that’s when we realized we had been sitting at the table next to Nicky Hilton and her crew too.

It was the hotness, y’all!

Hahahaha… plastered all over Guest of a Guest is Tim Morehouse, the beloved member of the silver medal winning U.S. Olympic Fencing Team. No wonder the poor boy looked so tired at Einstein’s when I went to go say hi to him on my way to class today (yes he’s back on campus, and someone’s decided it’s Tim Morehouse Day), he was at 1Oak and Richie Rich (among others) well into the night. I wonder if CC ran into him at Lydia Hearst’s?
