Indkomstskatternes ulemper vokser. Allerede nu er de væsentligt større end fordele. Som samfundet udvikler sig, bliver misforholdet større og større hvert år.

Kapitalvindingsskatten

Den særlige indkomstskat (kapitalvindingsskatten) kan uden videre fjernes fra den ene dag til den anden. Herved frigøres nemlig så store økonomiske, at de offentlige får større indtægter i form af andre skatter og afgifter end de ca. 600 millioner kroner, som skatten nu indbringer årligt. Også sømandsskatten bør væk med det samme (370 millioner).

Indkomstskatten

Derimod kan den almindelige indkomstskat ikke afskaffes uden forøgelse af andre skatter og afgifter og/eller offentlige besparelser.

Fremskridtspartiet tør ikke i væsentligt omfang gå ind for nye skatteformer eller forhøjelser af satserne for moms eller andre eksisterende skatter og afgifter. Følgelig må indkomstskattens afvikling finansieres ved, at det offentlige bruger færre penge.

Skattefri bundgrænse

De offentlige udgifter kan ikke med nogenlunde øjeblikkelig virkning nedsættes med stort mere end en halv snes procent. Dette giver plads for forhøjelse af den skattefri bundgrænse (personfradraget) i 1977 fra 12.600 til 25.000 kr. denne bundgrænseforhøjelse vil indebære, at ca. 700.000 personer kommer ud af skattesystemet, og at de resterende 2½ million skatteydere får skattelempelser, der kommer til at ligge på knapt 450 kr. om måneden. Altså svarende til en lønforhøjelse på ca. 1.000 kr. månedlig.

Yderligere offentlige besparelser kræver længere forberedelsestid og vil først fuldtud kunne slå igennem i 1978.

Allerede i løbet af 1977 vil adskillige offentlige udgifter imidlertid kunne nedsættes. Fremskridtsmodellen herfor er de 790 ændringsforslag (”overgangsbesparelser”), som Fremskridtspartiet fremsatte ved finanslovsbehandlingen i marts 1976. Tilsvarende forbedringer vil blive udarbejdet til finanslovsforslaget for 1977/78.

60.000 kr.

gennemføres denne sparelinje vil det være muligt i 1978 at få en skattefri bundgrænse på 60.000 kr. (med bevarelse af de nuværende fradrag, såsom rentefradrag, børneopsparing o.s.v.) og en samlet indkomstskat på 50% af, hvad den enkelte tjener skattepligtigt ud over dette beløb. Disse 50% dækker såvel statsindkomstskatten som indkomstskatterne til amter og kommuner. Der skal ikke være forskel på byrden eller på de offentlige ydelser, om man bor i en rig eller fattig kommune. Kommunernes nuværende indkomstskatteudskrivning erstattes derfor af statstilskud. Herved styrkes det lokale selvstyre.

Så kraftige nedsættelser af indkomstskatten medfører, at det igen kan betale sig at være flittig og initiativrig. Den økonomiske aktivitet vil derfor utvivlsomt blive forøget meget kraftigt. Dette medfører, at forbruget stiger. Uændret moms på 15% og uændrede afgiftssatser i øvrigt vil derfor give et væsentligt større milliardprovenu.

Afvikling af indkomstskatten

Denne udvikling vil yderligere accelerere i de følgende år. Uden væsentligt større offentlig sparsommelighed vil den resterende indkomstskat så kunne afvikles ved, at den skattefri bundgrænse bliver 75.000 kr. i 1979, 100.000 kr. i 1980 og 125.000kr. i 1981. Indkomstskatten kan derefter helt forsvinde fra 01. Januar 1982.

Samtidig med at den almindelige indkomstskat således ophæves, forsvinder formueskatten, der jo blot er et appendiks til indkomstskatten, mens selskabsindkomstskatterne planlægges ophævet i begyndelsen af 1980´erne.

Det store spring fremad i retning af offentlige besparelser skal altså tages i 1978. Som følge af finansårsomlægningen til kalenderåret vil der i 1978 alene være tale om et 9 måneders regnskabsår for staten, dækkende perioden 01 april til 31 december 1978.

Fremturer Folketinget med den nuværende beskatningspolitik, bliver det offentliges indtægter ( altså såvel statens som kommunernes og amternes) i disse 9 måneder ca. 104.000 millioner kroner fordelt som anført i Kolonne A.

Kolonne Z viser, at beløbet bliver ca. 91.000 millioner kroner, hvis Fremskridtspartiet kommer til at bestemme ( heri inkluderet merindgang på tidligere skatte- og afgiftsrestancer. Tallene er derhos omregnet til årsudgift for en gennemsnitshusstand på 4 personer

Me and the old man went to see top notch Dutch guitarist Jan Akkerman, a guitarist who in the 1970s was the core of prog rock band Focus. If you don’t know Focus, they are responsible for such gems as this:

He left them in ‘76 and has been puruing his solo career ever since.

But Mr. Akkerman wasn’t the only act we had the pleasure to see, support came from a young man called Gareth Pearson.

You can listen to a bit of what he’s made of here.

But here’s the weird thing…

My Father’s favourite band when he was in school were Focus. It sounds like he had a slight obsession (he still has!) There was a boy he was friends with who really wasn’t keen on Focus and used to give him quite a bit of stick for liking them.

Shoot forward a few years, this non-Focus fan (who goes by the name of Graham Pearson) has a son… Gareth Pearson. The man who has been touring with world famous guitarist Jan Akkerman. Graham also has been designated to drive Jan around! I’m sure my Dad would have given his right arm to drive the one and only Jan Akkerman around when he was in school. Isn’t life strange?

Reuben Robinson “Uncle Buddy” was born in White County, Tennessee, 1860.  When converted to Christ he could not read.  By God’s grace, the help of his wife, and determination he conquered this handicap and went on to be a leading Nazarene evangelist.

Das Video kam 1976 im Rahmen einer Video-Ausstellung der Münchner Galerie boa zur Aufführung. Außerdem wurden Videobänder und -Installationen von Vlado Kristl, Peter Waibel, Arnulf Rainer und Dieter Roth, Josef Beuys, John Sturgeon, Dominik Steiger, Wolfgang Flatz, Valie Export, Otto Dressler, Kurt Kren, W&B Hein, R. Bauermeister u.a. gezeigt. boa ist eine Vereinigung von Medienschaffenden im experimentellen Kunstbereich (boa-Künstlerkooperative).

Peider Andri Defilla stammt aus Zürich und lebt und arbeitet seit 1975 in München. Nach Musikstudien in der Schweiz und dem Kunststudium an der “Akademie der Bildenden Künste München” realisierte er zahlreiche Videokunst-Ausstellungen, Video-Installationen und Performances in ganz Europa, experimentelle Filme und Konzerte. Bereits Defillas erste Experimentalfilme und Film-Performances gewannen internationale Preise wie z.B. den “Agfa-Cinemathèque-Royale-Förderpreis” in Knokke-Heist (Belgien) oder den Publikumspreis “Espaces” in Paris. 1998 und 2001 erhielten seine Produktionen im Bereich TV-Dokumentationen den medizinischen Oscar der ASCRS. Ebenfalls in 2001 wurde seine Video-Oper “Donaumusik” bei den “Donaueschinger Musiktagen” uraufgeführt. Seit 2002 ist auf “BR-alpha” sein wöchentliches Musik-Essay-Magazin “musica viva - forum der gegenwartsmusik” zu sehen. Ausgehend von den Veranstaltungen der “musica viva” Konzertreihe des Bayerischen Rundfunks reflektieren die jeweils 15-minütigen, an den Formen des Essays, des Dokumentations- und Experimentalfilms orientierten audio-visuellen Beiträge in freier thematischer Folge die aktuellen Fragen und Tendenzen der Gegenwartsmusik.

This BLOG has become VERY controversial and I am glad. It has a lot of people thinking. Next to my “Right Now” BLOG, it got alot of responses and was very popular.

My sister Nova called me this morning quite upset about my exposure of my early school days. She in ways felt responsible for what happened which is very unfounded. She said she never knew, well, she never knew because as I indicated, I told no one. As I said I as a child, felt that if my family knew, that in the reasoning of a child,  they too would turn against me. My niece sent me an email this morning to tell me that she couldn’t finish reading my BLOG as it was too disturbing. She felt so bad for me. The reason of my BLOG on bullying wasn’t to gather sympathy. It was brought on as I said as a response to Dr Phil’s show on Bullying, it was the catalyst for my thoughts.  It brought me back to a more unpleasant time in my life. My niece has 2 beautiful little girls who she fears will be bullied. Those 2 little angels are the very breath in my soul right now. If anyone was to taunt those  2 little angels, I would be destroyed and then I couldn’t possibly be held responsible for my actions against the perpetrators. It would be more than I could bear if someone was to mar their souls as mine had been in school. My niece who is a successful business woman had a horrifying story of a female client with regards to bullying. The details I cannot tell as I do not have her permission yet to disclose the event.  My BLOG also brought other people to tears because they know me now as adult and hate the horror that I went through. Well I am only 1 of many stories out there.  Many others who were bullied went on to bigger and to better things…. I suspect just as many are mentally and emotionally broken today.  Before I continue the BLOG, as I reflect on school yard bullying I am brought to think of this: If kids on a school yard are torturing each other and searching to destroy, how can we then on a Global Scale expect people internationally to get along?  The planet has been plagued by wars for silly stuff and non rational ideas, not unlike bullies.

September 1976….. it came far too fast. With each passing day in the heat of that summer I dreaded starting a new and larger school. I knew “they” would be there and maybe they would have more to help them to hurt me.  I was by this time 13 years old starting grade 9 in a high school.  Hopefully ready to start anew. The first day I got home room assignment and noticed “they” were not there. How could this be?  I looked around the classroom and didn’t see them. Did I spend the whole summer worrying for nothing? They didn’t come back to school??  Well as I found out later that day as I was finding my way around the foreign halls, they were there.  I legally made it to grade 9 status. The 3 of them were in a class that I learned were called The Sweat Hogs… I later learned it was called officially The Remedial Class!  I guess I wasn’t so stupid after all. I was seen fit to continue to study academically, they were not. I guess my school project in Grade 8 in Rollo Bay School when I got a stinging slap on my face that nearly ruined my precious glasses got me through.  I didn’t help them, and look where they ended up, in the sweat hogg class!  But all was not in peace and calm. When I met them in the hall I was pushed and had my books thrown on the floor. I was repeatedly told to not think I was safe.  One day the 3 came up behind me as I was ready to start to eat my lunch and took my lunch and destroyed my sandwich and my drink. I was told “take that fag”.  From then on in they wouldn’t leave me alone.  The constant name calling continued from September on and the pushes in the hallways. In late September I finally made some new friends. We were all in the same home room. They were guys from “up east”, really nice guys and a guy from Souris who took me under his wing.  I was amazed I had friends! I was on cloud nine. It was the first time in years that  I came home and told “MOMMA, guess what I made some new friends today in school”. She wanted to know who they were and how we met. I was in heaven.  We hung around all the time at lunch and on breaks and it seemed to lessen the effects and the availablity of the bullies. They were almost like my guardian angels!. September came and then the school break for Christmas. Being home over the holidays was wonderful. I had made new friends and wasn’t so much worried about the bullies anymores. My self esteem started to grow and I was doing OK.  Back to school in January 1977… all of a sudden a miracle happened, the 3 bullies were officially gone! They quit school to work at home or at the fishplants. Could it be? Well it must be? They aren’t here and I am not scared.

2 weeks after, my bubble burst. 2 more guys took over where the others left off.  They would say my name in a very derogatory manner and make fun of me while they did. I remember being in the bathroom downstairs one day before I started class and they cornered me and they broke my glasses as they were slapping my face and beating me. Once they realized I couldn’t see and they seen my glasses smashed on the floor, they left. I scrambled picking up the pieces of my lenses hopefully to be able to put them back together . All I could think of , was, where is Momma going to get the money to buy me a new pair? I can’t see, I can’t study if I can’t see my books.  I didn’t know what I was going to tell her because I figured if she knew what really happened she would be terribly upset. I rememeber telling her I broke them playing a ball game, not that I was just physically bet up.  She was an old older woman and that news would be just too much for her to handle.   She said we will get the money somewheres which she did and I got new glasses.  My friends never knew of what happened, they just thought I got new glasses. Then one day a few weeks later my new Souris friend and I were walking to class and the bullies approached us and said to my friend, what are doing hanging around with fags?  My face turned red and my friend sped up and we were never the same after. He didn’t speak to me for quite some time. Then a few weeks later he came back and said do you know what?  I don’t care what they say about you,  I want to be your friend. And that was the end of it.  Grade 9 was a blur of abuse verbally & physically.  Grade ten and eleven were hell and I thought if I can just get through this, I’ll only have grade 12 to get through, then I’ll be done. Then grade twelve came and the same new bullies were there. It came about that they needed a class rep for The Student Union and were looking for volunteers. One of the bullies said “Darrell you’d be good at that job, you’re very smart, be our class rep”… was I hearing right? Did he have some kind of an epiphany and I was actually going to be left alone? Well I soon found out that the bullies rigged the ballotts and I won. I was voted in to make a fool of me. I was meetings that I wasn’t supposed to be and everytime I went back to give my report, the bullies were in the back making fun of me and the report I was giving. FINALLY one day my home room teacher screamed “ENOUGH!”… we all went silent!  He said “this kid is trying to do the job you voted him in for and there you are being disrespectful and making a fool of yourselves!”  I was stunned! Finally after years of wanting someone to stand up for me and to help me, this teacher did. He sent them to the principals office and they never harmed me again. By schools end they were actually decent to me. I was amazed.  There were lots of class mates that were nice to me and so many I had been with since Rollo Bay School and I did make more friends from my high school who showed me respect and love.  There were good people , don’t get me wrong, but it was the bad people who destroyed me.  I never forgot the teacher who one day said enough! And I never forgot his actions gave me peace in school, 12 years later!.

Graduation Day came and I was so glad to be away from them!  Now I could start my own life.  Free from the assailants who had plagued me for years.

Where are they now??  One Rollo Bay School guy ended up in trouble with the law for drug & alcohol issues. Never did finish school and has been back & forth bewteen PEI & Ontario for years.  I had the displeasure of running into him one night at The Golden Wok Restaurant with some of his crew. He was a few tables over and it was like I was a little boy again. All the years of his terror came over me and I left.  Another time I came across him was when I was nursing in Souris Hospital. His mother was in and she was a lovely lady. I couldn’t believe she was this beasts mom. He also had a handi-capped sister who he treated like gold. How could he have been so mean to me, yet is so nice to his family. Didn’t change my feelings on him though. He is basically a nobody now. Didn’t amount to anything!

Another Rollo Bay School guy never finished high school. He too got into trouble with the law as a delinquent with drugs and alcohol. I think he is a somewhat successful fisherman, too bad. Probably makes more money than I do.

The 3rd fellow…. well you’re not going to believe this. My sister has a female friend and she is married to the main-ring leader! He was the guy who slapped me so hard across the face and sent my glasses flying and made my teeth rattle in grade 8.  He has been in my sisters house numerous times doing some painting as my sister  redesigned the house.  He has never spoken to her about it. But its quite ironic because his wife is a real good head and I am sure my name is part of her vocabulary and I hope it kills him to hear my name. He as well has had run ins with the law.

The HIgh School Bullies…

One guy now lives down the road I grew up on and has a decent job in Souris and a lovely home, and a family. So life hasn’t been harsh enough on him.

Another guy as well has done too well, he hasn’t had it hard enough. He has a good job, family, and a lovely home.

All the others….. I have no idea nor do I care where they ended up.

Me? Well I think I am doing OK… I have had bouts of depression and anxiety in my life and required some talk therapy and other stuff.. (but thats another BLOG for another day and involves alot of soul exposure and other personal info that I will reveal when the time is right).. … I got myself educated…. I took the Resident Care Worker Program at Holland College (Class of ‘84), went to Nursing School (RN Class of ‘91), Took courses at UPEI…Graduated from The University of Saskatchewan with Health Care Administration (Class of 2001) and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing with Athabasca University (Hopefully Class of 2010), so I overcame many many adversities and became what I never thought I would and certainly became more than what the bullies anticipated I would ever become. 

Interesting footnote….. One evening while I was working in the ER in Souris Hospital my old Grade 1 teacher was in with terrible abdominal pain. I introduced myself as I was sure she would never remember me. And she didn’t recognize me but she knew who I was once I explained who I was. She said “Oh my god you became a Nurse”… “how lovely”… she said “I always knew you were in the wrong class in grade 1, you should have been in Sister MacManus’s class.”  I said I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about….. she replied…”you were placed in the class for the challenged and the slow learners” … I just about fainted on the floor and had to leave the room to get my bearings and I returned. I asked her why this happened to me… “she said did you not notice that you weren’t like everyone else? I remember you helping all your little schoolmates with their lessons and I could never understand why you were in my class, I taught the slow learners and the challenged kids”.   It was yet another challenge I had to deal with. Right from the get go of grade 1, I was doomed. But she said how proud she was that I did so well. It was worth precious little to me as I reflected at who ever determined that I was mentally challenged.  I have no recollection of having an assessment to determine that and I always wondered ever since where that determination of skills and ability came from.

After all this blogging and soul searching I am so happy that so much education and sensitivity training is going into schools now. Teachers are more aware than ever of what to watch for and intervene when need be.  The kids who started to wear pink T Shirts to support an anti-bullying campaign in my books, are heroes. Kids Help Phones are common now and so many TV ads tell kids, you’re not alone! How I wish that had of been around when I was a child.

Even yet today at aged 46, I hate confrontation. And, when someone raises their voice to me, all of a sudden I am that little kid in grade 8 who got his glasses thrown across the room and wanted someone to help him. Trust issues? Yeah, you better believe I have them.  I have seen and experienced the worst in people.   As I said earlier though, for the most part, I overcame it all and moved on. I hate that I don’t take things or truths at face value, I also have to question if this situation or this person is going to hurt me, and if they do, who is going to be there to  help me…. who is going to be there to say “ENOUGH!”….

Sí, este es otro ataque racista y desquiciado contra el negro ese. Y el blanco aquel (es negro por dentro).

Llegó al poder en los momentos finales de la Guerra de Vietnam y la renuncia de Richard Nixon. La opinión pública quería un cambio, alguien nuevo, y Jimmy Carter era un ambicioso y hacendoso político que prometió días mejores. Aunque sus intenciones eran buenas, las cosas que hizo no fueron exitosas. De hecho, creó una serie de problemas muy serios que tuvieron que solucionarse en el largo plazo.

La viga maestra de la política internacional de Carter eran los derechos humanos y logró un objetivo muy noble, un tratado de paz entre el Egipto de Anwar Sadat y el gobierno israelí de Menachem Begin. Desafortunadamente, ello dio paso al asesinato de Sadat a manos de radicales musulmanes.

Mucha gente sintió que Carter era un hombre bueno que trabajaba duro y de manera humilde. Pero era ingenuo e incompetente manejando los tremendos conflictos y complejos retos de ser presidente de los Estados Unidos.

Incorrectamente pensaba que los ciudadanos estadounidenses tenían un “irremediable miedo al comunismo,” así que levantó la prohibición a los viajes hacia Cuba, Vietnam del Norte y Camboya, y perdonó a los objetores de conciencia contrarios al servicio militar. También detuvo la producción de bombarderos B-1 y cedió el estratégicamente importante Canal de Panamá.

Su error más grande fue el retiro del apoyo estadounidense al Shah de Irán, un fuerte aliado militar de largo tiempo. Carter objetó el supuesto maltrato que el Shah dió a espías rusos tomados como prisioneros que trabajaban para derrocar el gobierno iraní. Él pensó que el Ayatollah Khomeini, en el exilio, siendo un hombre religioso, podría ser un mejor líder.

Habiendo perdido el apoyo de Estados Unidos, el Shah fue derrocado, el Ayatollah volvió, se declaró a Irán como república islámica y mercenarios palestinos fueron contratados para eliminar a la oposición.

El Ayatollah luego introdujo la idea de los bombardeos suicidas en la Organización para la Liberación Palestina, pagándole 35.000 dólares a las familias de la OLP a cuyos hijos se les lavaba el cerebro para matar a la mayor cantidad posible de israelíes volándose en pedazos en los centros comerciales.

Después, el Ayatollah usó la riqueza proveniente del petróleo para crear, entrenar y financiar a una nueva organización terrorista, Hezbollah, la que luego atacaría a Israel en 2006.

En noviembre de 1979, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad y otros iraníes asolaron la embajada norteamericana en Teherán y tomaron como rehenes a 52 americanos por cerca de 444 días. Sólo después de seis meses que ocurrió el hecho, Carter se atrevió a intentar un rescate. Pero la misión, usando sólo seis helicópteros de la marina, fue muy mal ejecutada. Tres de los helicópteros se echaron a perder o se perdieron debido a las tormentas de arenas. Cinco pilotos y tres infantes de marina perdieron la vida.

Asi que, debido a la condescendencia, inexperiencia y poco razonamiento, Carter minó y perdió un gran aliado en el Medio Oriente, Irán, que hoy amenaza de manera hostil a Estados Unidos, Israel y al resto del mundo con sus armas nucleares.

Pero eso no es todo. Después que Carter se reuniera por primera vez con el líder soviético Leonid Brezhnev, la Unión Soviética rápidamente invadió Afganistán. Carter, siempre ingenuo, estaba impresionado. “No puedo creer que los rusos me mintieran,” dijo.

La invasión atrajo a un joven saudí de 23 años llamado Osama bin Laden a Afganistán para reclutar guerreros musulmanes y juntar dinero para una jihad anti-soviética. Parte de ese grupo eventualmente se convirtió en Al Qaeda, organización terrorista que declararía la guerra a Estados Unidos varias veces entre 1996 y 1998 antes de atacarlos el once de septiembre, matando a más americanos que el ataque japonés de Pearl Harbor.

Bajo la vigilancia de Carter, la Unión Soviética se lanzó en una expansión por la que no sólo se hizo de Afganistán, sino que también de Etiopía, el sur de Yemen, Angola, Camboya, Mozambique, Granada y Nicaragua.

A pesar de ello, el último presupuesto de defensa de Carter proponía bajar el gasto en un 45% bajo los niveles anteriores a la Guerra de Vietnam para aviones de combate, 75% para barcos de guerra, 83% para submarinos de ataque y 90% para helicópteros.

Años después, como civil, Carter negoció un acuerdo de paz con Corea del Norte que evitaba que ese país comunista desarrollara armas nucleares. También convenció al presidente Clinton y a la secretaria de Estado de esa época, Madeleine Albright para apoyarlo. Pero ese pedazo de papel firmado no valió la pena. Los norcoreanos traicionaron a Carter y usaron el dinero, incentivos y equipo técnico dado por los norteamericanos para construir armas nucleares que amenazan con lanzar contra Estados Unidos.

Esto hizo que Carter se convirtiera en el Neville Chamberlain norteamericano, creando con sus buenas pero ineptas intenciones, sus actos crédulos y poco realistas las condiciones necesarias para la aparición de tres de las más peligrosas amenazas a la seguridad del país del norte: Irán, Al Qaeda y Corea del Norte.

En campo de la política doméstica, Carter le dió a Estados Unidos un 15% de inflación, la más alta en 34 años; tasas de interés de un 21%, las más altas de los últimos 115 años; y una severa crisis energética que llegó a crear colas en el suministro de gasolina en el país entero.

En 1977, Carter, junto a un congreso demócrata, creó un valioso proyecto con nobles intenciones: la Community Reinvestment Act. No obstante las objeciones del sector financiero, esta ley obligó que los bancos cubrieran las necesidades crediticias de las comunidades menos pudientes.

En 1995, el presidente Clinton impuso mayores regulaciones y evaluaciones que coercionaron a los bancos para que sustancialmente incrementaran los préstamos a deudores de bajos ingresos provenientes de los sectores más pobres ante la amenaza de multas o posibles restricciones en su expansión. Esas revisiones permitieron la securitización de los préstamos que contenían hipotecas subprime.

Para 1997, los préstamos normales, sanos o buenos, fueron atados a los malos y fueron vendidos como paquetes prime a diversas instituciones financieras dentro y fuera del país. Ello cambió el riesgo que producían los deudores subprime, liberando a los bancos de seguir profitando de esos productos subprime.

Sin embargo, bajo dos jóvenes y bien intencionados presidentes, los planes del Leviatán y las regulaciones jugaron un significativo rol en la actual crisis económica que vive el mundo.

Los más golpeados por las ejecuciones hipotecarias han sido los ciudadanos que los demócratas siempre aludieron proteger, los residentes urbanos que se sentían víctimas de bajos sueldos, tasas ajustables inesperadas, deudores de préstamos dudosos y comisionistas hambrientos de dinero.

Después se terminó rescatando a un alto costo, con dineros de los contribuyentes, a Fannie Mae y Freddie Mac, las mismas agencias que se supuso estabilizarían el sistema financiero. En un tiempo, ello puede mejorar la situación. Pero el partido de Carter y Clinton, que no midió el desastre hipotecario, quiere que esas instituciones vuelvan a tomar el control para que el gobierno tenga el total control, ahora, del sistema de salud norteamericano en un supuesto gobierno de Barack Obama.

Den særlige indkomstskat (kapitalvindingsskatten) kan uden videre fjernes fra den ene dag til den anden. Herved frigøres nemlig så store økonomiske, at de offentlige får større indtægter i form af andre skatter og afgifter end de ca. 600 millioner kroner, som skatten nu indbringer årligt. Også sømandsskatten bør væk med det samme (370 millioner).

Indkomstskatten

Derimod kan den almindelige indkomstskat ikke afskaffes uden forøgelse af andre skatter og afgifter og/eller offentlige besparelser.

Fremskridtspartiet tør ikke i væsentligt omfang gå ind for nye skatteformer eller forhøjelser af satserne for moms eller andre eksisterende skatter og afgifter. Følgelig må indkomstskattens afvikling finansieres ved, at det offentlige bruger færre peng

Skattefri bundgrænse

Yderligere offentlige besparelser kræver længere forberedelsestid og vil først fuldtud kunne slå igennem i 1978.

Allerede i løbet af 1977 vil adskillige offentlige udgifter imidlertid kunne nedsættes. Fremskridtsmodellen herfor er de 790 ændringsforslag (”overgangsbesparelser”), som Fremskridtspartiet fremsatte ved finanslovsbehandlingen i marts 1976. Tilsvarende forbedringer vil blive udarbejdet til finanslovsforslaget for 1977/78.

Gennemføres denne sparelinje vil det være muligt i 1978 at få en skattefri bundgrænse på 60.000 kr. (med bevarelse af de nuværende fradrag, såsom rentefradrag, børneopsparing o.s.v.) og en samlet indkomstskat på 50% af, hvad den enkelte tjener skattepligtigt ud over dette beløb. Disse 50% dækker såvel statsindkomstskatten som indkomstskatterne til amter og kommuner. Der skal ikke være forskel på byrden eller på de offentlige ydelser, om man bor i en rig eller fattig kommune. Kommunernes nuværende indkomstskatteudskrivning erstattes derfor af statstilskud. Herved styrkes det lokale selvstyre.

Så kraftige nedsættelser af indkomstskatten medfører, at det igen kan betale sig at være flittig og initiativrig. Den økonomiske aktivitet vil derfor utvivlsomt blive forøget meget kraftigt. Dette medfører, at forbruget stiger. Uændret moms på 15% og uændrede afgiftssatser i øvrigt vil derfor give et væsentligt større milliardprovenu.

Afvikling af indkomstskatten

Denne udvikling vil yderligere accelerere i de følgende år. Uden væsentligt større offentlig sparsommelighed vil den resterende indkomstskat så kunne afvikles ved, at den skattefri bundgrænse bliver 75.000 kr. i 1979, 100.000 kr. i 1980 og 125.000kr. i 1981. Indkomstskatten kan derefter helt forsvinde fra 01. Januar 1982.

Samtidig med at den almindelige indkomstskat således ophæves, forsvinder formueskatten, der jo blot er et appendiks til indkomstskatten, mens selskabsindkomstskatterne planlægges ophævet i begyndelsen af 1980´erne.

Det store spring fremad i retning af offentlige besparelser skal altså tages i 1978. Som følge af finansårsomlægningen til kalenderåret vil der i 1978 alene være tale om et 9 måneders regnskabsår for staten, dækkende perioden 01 april til 31 december 1978.

Fremturer Folketinget med den nuværende beskatningspolitik, bliver det offentliges indtægter ( altså såvel statens som kommunernes og amternes) i disse 9 måneder ca. 104.000 millioner kroner fordelt som anført i Kolonne A.

Kolonne Z viser, at beløbet bliver ca. 91.000 millioner kroner, hvis Fremskridtspartiet kommer til at bestemme ( heri inkluderet merindgang på tidligere skatte- og afgiftsrestancer. Tallene er derhos omregnet til årsudgift for en gennemsnitshusstand på 4 personer

¿A usted le parece, que teniendo en su haber más de 50 años de pleno trabajo tengan que cobrar esas miserias y encima estar expuestos a la inseguridad total? Ellos, la generación VERDADERAMENTE trabajadora, NO VE NI EL DIEZ POR CIENTO DE SUS APORTES; ellos, la generación VERDADERAMENTE honrosa, SUFREN LAS PEORES ATROCIDADES CUANDO SALEN A COBRAR SUS MISERAS JUBILACIONES… ¡Ellos! ¡De quienes heredamos los pocos valores que quedan sobre nuestro país! ¡Los últimos que pueden acordarse algo de lo que es NUESTRA cultura y no andan moviendo su cuerpo ridiculamente con un baile flogger o reggaeton!

Ayer veía sus caras de desolación por la televisión, aunque ya varias veces las he visto en vivo. Los pobres ancianos hacían enormes filas de horas y horas, muchos se iban con manos vacías, otros ni podían contar los pocos billetes que les habían dado. ¿Por qué? Porque en este país, uno de tantos del bloque económico Bananalandia la cultura del trabajo SE HA OLVIDADO. Preferimos mantener bolivianos, paraguayos, negros de mierda en villas y atrincherándolos de a docena y media por metro cuadrado en monoblocks.

Y pensar, que los que hoy son jubilados, fueron los trabajadores de ayer, los que realmente trabajaron y cumplieron su rol sin molestar.  On Fridays, after work, in the year 1983, when I was living on my own at the tender age of 18, I would get home from work, pop open a beer and flip the eagles Hotel California album on side 2, crank it, sit and watch the sun set in the horizon. Yes … Bliss, a pure and utter feeling of bliss. You just can’t buy that shit (feeling) anymore. But the burning question your really asking is …. Why side 2 ? Because side 2 is euphoric. It is a journey right from the start & right to the very end. I am hoping Alan Heller from the site “The All Time Top 1000 Albums” can explain it better one day. Mind you, Alan hasn’t written anything since January. Get a move along son! Actually its quite distressing that two of my favourite writers are AWOL at the moment, Peter Rayner from the Perilous Pierre website is also busy too. Maybe I should start an email petition to get them back to their keyboards! We need writers like this on the net, their intellectual thoughts are a must to Bohemians like me. Its like waking up in the morning and finding your newspaper with no words in it. Mind boggling.

Of course, the lyrics kick in some time after one has appreciated the album’s music, which marks a peak in the Eagles’ playing. Early on, the group couldn’t rock convincingly, but the rhythm section of Henley and Meisner has finally solidified, and the electric guitar work of Don Felder and Joe Walsh has arena-rock heft. In the early part of their career, the Eagles never seemed to get a sound big enough for their ambitions; after changes in producer and personnel, as well as a noticeable growth in creativity, Hotel California unveiled what seemed almost like a whole new band. It was a band that could be bombastic, but also one that made music worthy of the later tag of “classic rock,” music appropriate for the arenas and stadiums the band was playing. Hotel California touched on many themes, including innocence (and the loss thereof), addiction in general (and to drugs), death, the dangers, temptation and transient nature of fame, shallow relationships, divorce and loss of love, the end results of manifest destiny, and the “American Dream.” Members of Eagles have described the album as a metaphor for the perceived decline of America into materialism and decadence. In an interview with Dutch magazine ZigZag shortly before the album’s release, Don Henley said: “This is a concept album, there’s no way to hide it, but it’s not set in the old West, the cowboy thing, you know. It’s more urban this time (. . . ) It’s our bicentennial year, you know, the country is 200 years old, so we figured since we are the Eagles and the Eagle is our national symbol, that we were obliged to make some kind of a little bicentennial statement using California as a microcosm of the whole United States, or the whole world, if you will, and to try to wake people up and say ‘We’ve been okay so far, for 200 years, but we’re gonna have to change if we’re gonna continue to be around.“

The album’s final track, the epic “The Last Resort“, was about the demise of society. Glenn Frey on the Hotel California episode of In the Studio with Redbeard explained about the track: It was the first time that Don took it upon himself to write an epic story and we were already starting to worry about the environment…we’re constantly screwing up paradise and that was the point of the song and that at some point there is going to be no more new frontiers. I mean we’re putting junk, er, garbage into space now. A hotel which carries the same name located in Todos Santos, Mexico is sometimes rumored to be the inspiration for the song (and in fact the hotel fosters the claims while enjoying the resulting status as a tourist attraction). However, Don Henley has denied the link.

Sometimes a failure is far more intriguing and challenging than a masterpiece. Claudio Rocchi has often cited Suoni di frontiera (”frontier sounds”) as one of his favourite albums, and me too, i’m a little obsessed by this inconclusive, naive attempt in experimental electronics which, together with his twin Rocchi (1975), attracts and swallows like a black hole the entire work of Claudio - and perhaps all the italian pop music which gravitates around it.

In 1975, Claudio Rocchi was already a well-established counterculture icon and the italian folk-psych-cosmic-out-of-his-head minstrel par excellence. Most of his listeners were hence slightly shocked when he suddenly almost completely replaced the guitars, the strings and the percussions of l miele dei pianeti le isole le api (”the honey of the planets the islands the bees”, 1974) with a cut-up of field recordings, samples, modulated soundwaves and analogic synthesizers assembled in a home studio, building with Rocchi an actual wall of sound between him and his usual audience. (Even if, from a 2008 point of view, you can catch an emotional consistency between this material and a track like “Lila” from Il miele… By the way, “Lila” was the first example of a song recorded by the same Rocchi at his place with a Revox A70 to be released on an album - a do-it-yourself solution which was soon to become an habit for him.)

Suoni di frontiera was an attempt to move further beyond, mincing the music into small, separated fragments, often based on a single electronic loop. A collection of wrong answers to an unspoken question. But, for a musician gifted with a peculiar and highly recognizable singing style as Claudio Rocchi is, the really astonishing thing was the self-injuring decision to get rid of vocals completely. It’s “the silence of words”, as the same Rocchi stated: something necessary to eliminate interferences and create actual connections between sound and energy in view of a “musica psichica” (”psychic music”), the music with a healing power he was dreaming of together with former Area guitarist Paolo Tofani and discussing with Demetrio Stratos, Elio D’Anna, Franco Battiato.

I should say the result is rather poor when compared with similar contemporary explorations in Italy and abroad, and almost ridiculous with its pretensions; but these handcrafted sounds encompass a vision, an enthusiasm, a soul which make up for their lack of originality and substantial pointlessness. Like learning from a wise child who, playing with microphones, tapes and knobs, discovers the unexpected pleasure of making noises - and remains amazed by himself.

This new direction led Claudio Rocchi in the land of soundtracks and soundscapes for art performances and theatre; and just after a show in a Milan off-theatre he was approached by Cramps’ founder Gianni Sassi. A meeting which resulted in a new record deal and a new, different level for the artist, who released in 1977 his first true “pop” effort, A fuoco (you can read it both as “focused” or “on fire”), recorded with a complete orchestra.

Claudio Rocchi and Paolo Tofani, together with their families, joined an hare krisna community in the early eighties. Claudio returned to earthly matters in 1994 with a new album, Claudio Rocchi (featuring Tofani, Alberto Camerini, Eugenio Finardi, Alice, Lucio Fabbri, Walter Calloni) and since then, among thousands of other things, he has released four records, directed a movie (Pedra Mendalza), acted in Musikanten by Franco Battiato.
